#3257 Well, now I know where Jerrawa is. Geo-sense was spot on here as I homed in immediately on the hiding spot. The likes of which I had encountered before. Our last find out this way before returning home via Long Rail Gully and Dog Trap Roads. Cheers magpyre!!
Quick find once the GPS settle. Lovely drive out here.

Stopped here with goingplaces2 when we were on our way to Gunning. Quick find, all in good order. TFTC.
This cache was on a detour we took with ilook4geo instead of travelling the highway. We found it reasonably quickly and added our names to the log. All was good and dry and was put back as found before we left. Thank you to Magpyre for bringing us to the quiet little place.

Today was the first time I've ever been to Jerrawa. I found the cache on the ground so I put it back up where it looked like it had fallen from.

Although there was plenty of caching still to be done around Yass it was time to move on. We will be back.
We set off for Gunning, only a short trip. The day started cold and a bit foggy, but the sun soon came through and set up the best day we have had for some time weather wise.
There were a few Traditionals to be had en route as well as some Flags of the World as well as the caches we had not found in Gunning. After lunch we headed out to Jerrawa and Dalton where we got 2 Earthcaches.
A bigger day than we had initially planned for, but you cant waste the good weather!
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Magpyre.

Where indeed? My first visit here and took a bit of a hunt before the container was spotted. Signed the log and replaced. TFTC Magpyre
Pretty awesome to pick up a 2008 cache here! Can't believe I hadn't visited in the past, but I do find myself on this stretch of highway between Goulburn - Yass VERY RARELY given I live in Canberra and don't need to use it!
I was in the area today however and took the opportunity. After searching a couple metres away in the wrong spot, I changed position and spotted the cache quickly.
Thanks Magpyre!

Finalf29 and I decided to spend a few days getting off the main highway and grabbing a few of these backroad caches. Having a wonderful time with my bestest buddy.
The hint had me worried... then I saw one of those guardians! Looked in the right direction and saw the cache... quickest signing I have ever done! Thanks

Arriving at the thriving metropolis of Jerrawa, we made quick work of finding this one. A little paint and restumping and it would be awesome. Thanks for bringing us out here. Tftc
This took us a few minutes. The listed coordinates are only a few metres off, just we were looking in the wrong spot. Anyway, we found it eventually. TFTC

What is Magpyre who lives up our way in the Mid North Coast doing placing a cache way out here!
So we started to search and the first thing that we noticed is - oh my those stumps are stuffed. So let's hope they don't have any vigorous bush dancing in that hall until there are some repairs done there

Below is a blurb about us.
We are trying to get a badge from Project-GC for writing found log files of 100 words or more. Once we get this badge we will stop writing this. We are also trying to
get badges for adding photos to our found logs.
We Started caching in December 2019 and by January 2020 we were hooked. As we are on the road full time (living in a caravan), caching fits in well with this lifestyle.
It is taking us to places that we would normally not have gone.
When we move to a new place we also look at what caches are in the area and how many days we will need to be there to get the caches we want.

We are taking a short break from the horrors of Christmas to get the December souvenir. There are a few drops of rain falling but not nearly enough. Many thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining caches for us.
Nothing guarding the cache today I am glad to say!

We left Bathurst on a two day trip to get enough points for the December souvenir. Fortunately the cloud cover is keeping the temperature down and it is quite pleasant wandering along the country roads. Thanks to all the COs for their effort in placing and maintaining these caches.
No cache guardians - in fact not much sign of any life today.

Stayed at the Gunning Showgrounds overnight amongst the Australian Stock Horse Show campers and their horses. With an early start we grabbed some local caches before heading to Dalton to learn about the Earthquake Zone appropriately on Earthcache Day.

I had the strangest urge last night to go for a long caching road trip this weekend. As soon as I woke up this morning I packed the necessities and prepared a coffee before heading to Wagga Wagga.
I've only cached there once before, but with others who had already poached most of the area. This time I got to choose!
However the long drive lead me by others which I had to sparingly choose only a few as it delayed my arrival to my destination.
A long day that I capped my find total at 100 finds. Tommorow I hope to get just as many on the way home.
Thanks for the caches.

The big night had finally arrived, time for some country caching with MJW1. With clear skies and a light cool breeze we took to some of the roads less travelled inbetween Yass and Gunning. The outcome, a great night with good company and a stack of finds. Sorry for the generic log, you know the story. TNLNSL TFTC
What better thing to do on a warm summer's night with family members holidaying elsewhere than to go for a geocaching drive in the countryside with the marvellous IamCoust? A thoroughly enjoyable night that took us to parts of the region we never would have got to without the gift of geocaching. Thanks to IamCoust for planning, driving and patiently stopping at a few caches he had already found. Apologies for the (mostly) generic logs, but you know what it's like...
I'm guessing nobody lives here anymore. There might be a squatting opportunity, at least while the weather is still warm. I wonder if any of the Jerrawans (what is the collective name for people from Jerrawa?) would notice? TFTC

Azzepious and I went on our second annual trip to Adelaide for caching and cricket. Joining us was muggle Skonos who refused to make a geocaching account but did help on finding caches. Day 1 took us to Hay. Our previous trip saw us grab most of the easy caches along the highways so we had to take some detours for caches on this trip, via places like Breadalbane, Gunning and Yass.
All caches logged as 'Team GOGGGG' - The Group of Glorious Geocaching Gamer Geeks.
We were a bit worried we might be on private property. Got down and dirty and made the find.

Another great day of caching in the company of our good friends Suscoe. Our route was a "loop" Yass - Gunning, Dalton, Jerrawa, Coolalie - Yass. Varied scenery, great flocks of galahs and cockatoos and of course many caches to find.
This cache has certainly showed us where Jerrawa is!

Suscoe and Phetlern were continuing their Yass and beyond adventures today with a trip to the north east and north of the Yass area. We even ventured into the Upper Lachlan Shire for a while as well.
Weather wise today was a mixed bag with a coll start, some sunny breaks, some heavier cloud and a stiff breeze at times.
We enjoyed the changing scenery and the little townships that we travelled through.

A fine return to form for the weather today which has been pretty ordinary of late. I thought a nice long country drive-by session was in order to take advantage of the lovely, but warm conditions. I started at Yass and headed east through Gunning and out as far as Collector before returning back to Canberra. Nice to see the countryside greening up after all the rain.

Had a caching day trip to Yass, Dalton and Gunning and back to Canberra via Gundaroo. Found many traditionals as well as some puzzles and multi caches. Many new and interesting places visited and roads driven. Thanks to all the wonderful CO's for bringing us to these amazing places.
Visiting the Canberra area from Brisbane and today decided to do a road trip from Canberra to Yass, Gunning and Dalton. The caches we attempted took us to many spots out in the countryside. Apologies for the generic comments, however due to the number of caches done over 5 days in Canberra, it would have taken me ages to do separate different comments for each one. It was a great day of caching and thank you to all CO's - well done.
Enjoyed the hunt for this on my way home from a day of caching in Yass. A fun hard and no little guardians to worry about today! Tftc

Headed down to Jerrawa hunting down a trackable that had apparently gone AWOL following my drop just over a week ago. Figured I wasn't going to waste a drive down this way for nothing, and would cache our way back home. This cache was on our way so we obviously stopped for a find.
This is a gorgeous little location. I loved the little shack over the road from the cache. Would make a sweet little holiday home.
The weather is not much chop, 8 deg temps and harsh cold winds blowing 45km/h plus some drizzling rain. All in all, it wasn't too bad a day to find caches on the hop.
Fortunately for all concerned, we found the missing trackable which had dislodged itself and landed with a thud on the ground. Incredibly elated that I found it and it wasn't missing in action for too long.
*** NO trackables found in this cache ***
