I always seem to be on the wrong side of the road for a lot of drive by caches, so I either have to turn around which I sometimes to, or get them on the way back, which for some reason I usually don't. So now I just do them! TFTC.
Today, on a bit of a whim, we decided to head south to Geeveston and try our luck at spotting some platypuses, picking up a few caches in the area while we were at it.
We'd made a previous unsuccessful attempt on this cache back when we first started caching, we think probably failing due to our GPSr directing to the wrong spot. Since we were in the area anyway on our journey back from Geeveston, we thought we'd might as well stop by and make a second attempt.
This time, the GPSr led us to a slightly different spot, and the cache was spotted within seconds of arriving at the indicated location. Upon opening the container though, we discovered that the log was in pretty poor shape, quite damp and fragile, making it difficult to extract. It was signable though, but we'd suggest replacing it in the near future (or at least adding a ziplock bag for a bit of protection).
TFTC, definitely glad to have tracked it down finally!

With a couple of weeks annual leave, we have decided to bring ourselves down to Tassie for a break. Why Tassie? We have visited once before and loved it, but didn't have sufficient time to see much, and 2nd, Tassie was the only state/territory that we had not cached in, and 3rd, the weather is cooler than we have been experiencing in Victoria.
Day 5. Heading south today to the Ida Vue Railway (although was not running) from New Norfolk.
A quick driveby. TFTC, SL and put snuggly back in place

Leaving a smoky Huonville, I took a quick break here to find this one. No joy at first, until I looked in a less obvious spot. Managed to sign the log that was just a little damp, but appears to have become quite fragile. Suggest that the log be replaced to ensure future finders are able to sign. TFTC RehikeMike
Found the cache with TaurusSix.
The log was wet and I'm only just managed to write on it.

Tassie Trip Day 71 - Today we returned to our treck around the country to see what we could find around the channel island country with a start at gordon and continuing around to Hounville before returning to snug.
After an extensive search at the corner and a few places a little further away the cache was not found today maybe cache blindness has set in.
Thanks RehikeMike but this was a DNF for us today.

Exploring more and more of Tasmania and finding some really interesting caches and locations. Thanks for hiding this here.
Long weekend trip down south with my mate. A few false starts but then bingo. Log was too damp to write on I’m sorry.
Stopped here for our last cache of the day on our way back to Rosetta, a short search soon revealed the hide. Log soaking wet, could do with some TLC. TFTC rehikemike
Found this nicely hidden cache log a little damp but ok to sign. Our first cache back in Tassie. TFTC
I had long given up ever finding this cache, but today as we were passing the goose told me it had been fix or found of late so I pulled up to have a search.
It was years ago when i looked for this last but today there it was as easy as pie.
Soon added my name to the logbook and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache.

Tricky to avoid the muggles, but a nice easy find with onthrun. Chilly fingers on a frosty morning
Needed to be down the Huon today, and needed a cache today, so pulled in to grab this one. Just missed all the parents parking here awaiting the school buses; job done before they started congregating here! TFTC.

This was day 59 of our trip out of Sydney to visit the southern states of Victoria and Tasmania and also day 17 of the Tasmanian part.
This was a nice easy cache to find as there were no muggles around as it was raining a bit. After the log had been signed the cache was replaced as found. Thank you for bringing us to this area and thank you for placing this cache for us and others to find.

Another quick find on the way to Huonville. Geohubby stopped for some ice whilst I ran across he busy road. Others should beware that if you do the same the road can be quite busy.
Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
Staying in Geeveston for a few days. We headed out to find a few caches around the Huonville area.

A quick and easy drive by for our first Tasmanian cache. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Decided to grab this one when turning out after My Slice of Pie. We spent a while looking in the wrong place for this one but then felt silly! TFTC.
After a few previous DNFs we were pleased to see this cache back. A quick stop on the way to Hooters. Thanks for replacing this one
Finally found this one after having missed it a couple of times before. Cache definitely wasn't in place on previous searches, as we looked there.
On our way to the Taste of the Huon, collecting a couple of caches with my big bro, Wilco
Found it easily can't believe it would be that easy I might have stopped by earlier as I drive past here every day & today i did have time to stop. Tftc
Nice little spot for a hidden treasure, little fingers make it easy, no need for a tool. TFTC
Had planned this trip for a few days and as the weather looked good took off with a slight deviation to pick up 3 FTFs nearer the city.
This was on the correct side of the road so after working over one location found in another appropriate place.

[green]A nice quick find for us today, as we made our way back up the Huon after a day in the caves down South. No need for an extraction tool for us - [purple]Binni's[green] slender digits together with some gentle tapping presented us with a log to sign [^] [blue]Thanks for the cache rehikemike
Being such a stinking hot day, the munchkins and myself decided on escaping in Spangle and enjoying the air conditioning. Well they enjoyed it, I went caching This was my second find and it didn't take long until the beasty was found. I signed the log and then replaced the cache as it had been found.
Thanks for the cache RehikeMike

After seeing 3 dnfs we had this cache on our watch list and when notification came that it had been replaced we headed to the Huon once again. Thank you for a quick and easy find and for the replacement which allowed us to finish the series.
We had a good look after attending the Taste of the Huon, but couldn't locate this one. Sorry for the late log - only just realised that I had failed to log the caches from this day (we must have eaten too much!)
Part of our FHM tour with Smiley_Bear. We had looked briefly here before with no luck. Smiley_Bear had found it previously so came to double check with me. It was not there. We searched the ground around GZ in case it had fallen. No luck unfortunately.
Found some time ago and forgot to log. Drove past again with travel bug today. so would of been rude not to drop in again
Great time out with the family. DR JAMES, SMELLY BELLY 8 and JABs Had a lot of fun and it was a very lovely day. Gained lots of fantastic memories and visited some cool places. This was part of my geocaching scouting challenge.

Mr and Mrs Prionotes fancied a little trip down the Huon on a glorious day and we thought we'd seek a cache or two or FIVE, even! After finding three before lunch (and scoring a DNF for 4 Corners 1) we were on our way home but were determined to try for this, the fourth in the series. The hardest bit with this one was avoiding being seen at the crucial site and moment by a diminutive muggle on her quadbike doing endless circuits of her dirt track in the neighbouring property. A quick dash while she was on the far side enabled me to grag the container and then retreat to the cachemobile. This then became number four in more ways than one. A second dash had the cache returned and we were on our way again. TFTC.
TFTC . Great little spot thank you forth is series ... I like this kind of cache as so many people drive pass it so often .. If only they knew ..
