Hi SouthernAugurs
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

I made the mistake of setting the sat nav to make this the first find of the day, only to read the previous logs once at GZ which I really should have done before setting off, as it would have saved a wasted trip and a DNF.
Found it. Rummaging around in the leaves, not finding it. Daughter puts her hand in tree and goes 'is this it!' Nice find Amber.
About to give up, as it was getting dark and I'm half blind but... found it! Nicely camouflaged container. TFTC
Lol I was actually in wrong place looking for another cache when high5zoe found this one. Easy find tftc
Tricky with the river don't pick the wrong side!! It seems like one but it's not
Lovely walk which we didn't know was here. Fact was at right height for a little person to find tftc
Another part of TeHenui explored today. Not the fence I was expecting, but a quick find. Thanks.
GPS is taking me the long way home for the Mega. Finding lots of great caches on the way. TFTC
A very nice day to be out so l decided to go for long walk and get few nearby caches. A very enjoyable 12 km walk. I have been on this walkway a couple of times but happy to go again. TFTC.
It's getting to be a good workout for my 87yr old friend. We always go geocaching when he's down from Auckland.
Managed to find in the dark with a phone light very quickly thanks to the great descriptions!
Have always wanted to visit here - thanks for placing this cache, it finally got me to the top of the Te Henui. Was hoping to take the ducks for a swim but my Miss Four year old wouldn't have managed the climb back to the top. Cache looks good and covered back up with leaves. Thanks
Phew made it back up the hill, was not going to leave until I found this one, which I did, tftc SouthernAugurs
Day off today! Taking Ellie for walk where we have not been before! Nice to see river below! Nice hide! TFTC
(1820) Out caching with Steeveb and Skibow1 to collect some caches around New Plymouth. Thanks for taking us to some interesting spots.
Finally explored this cool little extension of a familiar walkway. Cache safe and sound. TFTC ☺
The gps is not very accurate here so when I got to the GZ I was disappointed to see a number of hint objects (cheapskates). Worse I completely failed to see one very thin fence which of course was where we eventually found the cache. A nice piece of forest here. TFTC.
very nice area, would not have come here without the geocache but it was really worth it! the trees are pretty cool, especially on a hot day like this went exploring a bit first before I found the right spot...

Second visit to find this, brought Gnome62 can't believe that I missed this fairly easy find in the end. Thanks left a diamond.
The New Year brings a new challenge and seeing as we are just casual family cachers we have very rarely managed more than 5-6 in one day. So today we had to hit double figures!
This was number one!
A good stroll through the bush to start off and the hint was spot on. Lovely bush reserve we have only ever driven past before. TFTC

took a little bit to find this but once gps started working we had it soon in hand, lovely walk TFTC
I agree with Blenheim Bear. Don't expect GPS to find GZ. Persistence paid off eventually. dug27
Well some advice to the next cacher, don't come with a Smart phone and expect to get the co-ords to work well. I walked back and forwards and up and down to find this one. In the end the hint proved to be excellent and I found the right place, then a quick furtle and the cache container was in hand. Don't know abou the name, very misleading, marbles here would be a very quick game.. But it's Mission Accomplished TFTC! This log posted with CacheSense for Android!

#6390. Nice walk from Durham Avenue on the Te Henui Walkway Extension. The track was all quiet. Relatively quick find. The cache itself was in excellent condition, but it was no longer an aluminium container. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log. Thanks for the cache.
As well as not playing marbles on the motorway the GZ is an unlikely spot to attempt to play marbles as well. A gloomy shady spot on a wet overcast day. TFTC

We were in New Plymouth on holiday and once the kids were squared away in bed I was granted a leave pass to grab some caches late in the evening. It was pretty dark at GZ but that wasn't the problem I just couldn't get a clear reading on my GPS which pointed to three possible spots some 30+ meters apart. I left frustrated.
The gps had all sorts of fun and games under the canopy and at one point had me scrabbling up the hill to check out a cool looking tree with lots of good cache hiding spots. Luckily a good hint had me back on the right track and soon I was signing the log.

Simple to find with the hint, otherwise had no idea where or what to look for. Logged entry. Thanks.
Found this yesterday, but being my first, I managed to only log a note! However find it I did, delightful camo container nicely placed in its hollow! Pencil is included albeit quite a small cache. TFTC Chris
Quick walk from work at afternoon tea! Lovely environment, excellent clue and first find using L4C Pro on iPhone. Little camo container very nice, well matched to environ. Thanks to maintainer - I put back plenty of litter.
Found it after walking along the track to far as the compass was off but fou d it in the end. Tftc.
Found under the name timpenn. Part of the track I hadn't visited in years, thank you.
Well that was a bit of hard yakka. We were after a bit of exercise and definitely got it here. Nice stroll from the motel to track start. Well hidden cache on a lovely walk. Thanks.
145th find for The Great Scouts Australia Geocaching Competition 2013. Found with sunhalo, TFTC SouthernAugurs.
We started the walk at the Cumberland Street entrance and actually walked right past the GZ due to the GPSr not getting a satellite lock. We found the correct location on the return stroll, and a short rummage soon had the cache in hand. Very nice camo job.
