I noticed that this cache has been in need of owner attention for a period of time well in excess of the period of "a few weeks" as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the archive listing link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.

A DNF, on my way through wind and rain, it was a really lousy day.
(... but a really nice area!)

Had a good look but no luck for us this time. They've done a beautiful job with the area!
Spent some time hunting around but couldn't find it. Will try again next time we are over this way. M&P
Good cache to do for our 1400th. Pity it was raining....great weather for the ducks .
Was nervous about trying this cache as it hadn't been found for a while.
In the end found an empty camo'd container and a lid lying on the ground at/near GZ.
Provided a scrap of paper as a temp log and placed cache as best I could.

Found after a brief search while hunting out some Cobden caches before leaving Greymouth this morning. The coordinates were placing me in the vicinity of some large flax bushes which caused my heart to sink a bit but fortunately "cacher's instinct" prevailed and the cache was found in a much more benign spot. A great area, somebody has been putting a lot of effort in here! Signed log, TFTC
We had a short period to find a few caches in the Cobden area this afternoon and this was one of them. This area is being turned into an impressive nature spot and a short walk was enjoyed to GZ. TFTC.
Cache sense dictated where the prize should be. It took a careful inspection at GZ and only a minimal donation of blood to the geo-gods. TFTC
Nice spot on a lovely day, but can't put my hands on it. Perhaps the local council gorse killing project has disturbed it? Too many skin scratching grasses and gorse to pick my way through... Another time.
A gorgeous sunny day for Yellow Button Moon TB to have traveled up the West Coast from Franz Joseph Glacier.
I think the police may have found it while chasing someone. It would be helpful if someone could check.
Sadly we didn't find this one today, was late in a day of caching for us so will go back when we have day light to help. All the birds were great though, a really nice spot to visit.
20/04/12 10:32 AM Find #912 This one took me longer than expected as 2 dog walkers were at GZ so I waited a while for them to leave before starting my search and in about 2 minutes I was signing the log. I did find some 80s style soft drink bottles which I thought was interesting. Good work on building this little area too.
I was out Birthday caching. This was find 2 of 17 for the 17th. Sat on the seat while waiting for the grandma muggles and their dogs to pass by to replace the cache. TFTC.
This was our second go at this one. We still struggled but our +1 fresh eye's found it. Great little hide in a really pretty spot. tftc
Training over for the day so Kiwicampnut and I headed out for some finds. #5 for the evening.
A lovely walk in the twilight. Cache was where I first looked for it after the obvious object at GZ.

Would love to see this area in daylight but when done it was well after dusk. Lots of wildlife making noises at us as we walked back to the car. Kiwicampnut
Five from five today was the hardest to find for our afternoon geo caching in cobo today tftc
OMG! Can't believe it took us so long to find this one when it's so straightforward. We looked in all the wrong places first, nearly gave up, then found it. TFTC.
After staying over for new year with the campervan, went for a bike ride in Cobden. This one was first on our to do list
Muggles were present but we waited on the bench... Then I found it by just looking around - Hid it a bit better ( but in the same spot!)
Thank you!!!
Thank you!!!
Very pleased to locate this after about a 10 minute search - was getting dark and I had left torch in car. SL TFTC
Didn't find it, after chating to another cacher I probably looked in the wrong place. Thanks anyway, a nice spot.
After some initial confusion about size of container, StreetWalker spotted the hide. This area is a lovely spot for a walk. Shame about the ever present gorse and blackberry interpersed with the natives.

#1598 (10/25 on a third day on the Coast). Interesting area. A definite improvement on a dump. TFTC.
Not the best place for a town dump but good to see the town making better use of the area. TFTC
A nicely developed new wetland, with a few swans around today. The cache was quickly found in the logical place. TFTC
I went with an assumption of what the cache was and where to find it. I was wrong on both counts. It took me a little while to widen my search and find the cache 'over there'.
Easy find. Good to see what can become of an eyesore. Black swans at home here. TFTC
Drove in a bit of a circle trying to find the best access but ended up back where we started due to a closed road. A bit of a search turned up the cache, then a dog walking muggle couple turned up as well. Mr KE kept them busy - with shaggy dog stories no doubt - while I stealthily replaced the cache. TFTC, Biggles.
A nice wee wander and the cache was eventually found in "the vicinity" of gz. TFTC.
Made life difficult for myself approaching from a previos cache. Had to reread the listing before twigging the cache was not where I was looking but could be over there. Cache then soon in hand. TFTC
good one impressive hide
Swan were swimming in the lagoon Beautiful graceful birds.

This area will be really lovely once its been fully developed. Thanks for bringing me here. TFTC #1083
Yay! Finally finding it shows that perseverance pays off. Scenery was spectacular and worth coming back again and again. 1st for the night. TFTC
A pretty hot day over here so a quick wander to GZ then frustration. It must be here somewhere! More time on bended knee looking around then finally read the description. Oh, in the general area. Right, a quick hunt after that and success. I'm sure this place will be great in a few years once the dirt piles have been grown over with native plantings. TNLN Thanks,.
lovely little spot, good on the council
will be excellent in a few years
searched around the object for a while before the cry went up 'found it'!

Who says it always rains on the Coast! After a SUNNY day a quick dash out with Penny and Di to find this one, as they had tried before without any luck, found by Penny after a short search.TFTC
Sargenz found. Another nice day on the West Coast visiting Jemnz and Mandnz. TFTC. TNLN.
Second of two in Cobden found it the second place we looked. Which was lucky as it was drizzly and we had decided to move on if it wasn't there!! TFTC
A nice walk around the lagoon. The cache had us scrambling in some not so pleasant places when we should have followed our nose if the first place TFTC
Was worried this one would be gone as all the ground is looking very recently dug but no, the cache was safe and sound. Once the trees and shrurbs are planetd the place will be neat.
Nice little walk here but needs more signs as to where it is. It was as hard to find the track here as the Kowhai Bush walk one was. Council needs to signpost these places better. Bulldozers were busy here so when it's all finished this wetland area should be even better. SL. TFTC.
2761. It is a lovely lookout from here. The lagoon is well populated with black swans and scaup. A quick find, which was good, as we were trying to keep ahead of the rain clouds!
Thanks

Took absolutely ages in the dark and wet. So much so that I almost gave up - but didn't. And then it was as easy as the ratings said it was - d'oh!
Lovely day!! I love this walk - I often run it too, but no luck finding this one! We searched and searched all over the seat thinking it may be a magnetic one on the seat, nothing... hmmm
I had the same problem as Cam - 3 tries to get to the entrance. And then a lovely amble in the late afternoon sun before the heat of the day disappears. Was concerned this would be a DNF when I had checked all the obvious places and came up empty. Then I had this idea... thank goodness... TFTC.
Visited here next, cache wasn't quite in the location I was expecting, but found it fairly easily. Amazing how deft the shags can be balancing on flax stems! Cheers Gav [3565]
Great small walk, easy find . Weeds etc need attending !
Would be good to see it finshed.

Had to wait for a family of muggles to move on before we could find this one. The area will be great when they finish it. TFTC
A really nice area, will be really good when it is finished. No perks but found the cache.
Thanks
