Visited sluicing gun display with TBs. Pity that the usual New Years Eve fireworks display didn't get a permit...
A quick find with TregearP and Kanga & Bear.
Always great to be back in the Mainland, and pick a few caches where able. This was a special trip for Kanga & Bear and the province lived up to every expectation. Stunning.
Dropped off a TB which TregearP and I have been taking on our travels for the last two weeks or so - wishing it the best in one of NZ's most special places, at least from our perectiive.
At the cache, all in good order. TNLNSL, TFTC.

Enjoying a late autumn road trip around Dansey's Pass and managing a little caching between sites with SJT_NZ & Kanga&Bear. TFTC
Road tripping around the Maniototo and SJT_NZ & Tregearp are premium members so missing out on a few caches. Enjoyed the cache thanks.
#381. Cycling the Otago Rail Trail over Easter, with one of our overnight stops in Naseby. A quick find here after dinner. Tftc!
Heavy rain so found but not signed. Been two days of Mtb and runs in forest. Forgotten how great an area this is. Off to st Bathans in the RV
TFTC Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Walking with Flying-Kiwi through the Naseby forest & town and picked up a few caches. TFTC
Muggles in park across the street were too busy with dog and frisbee to notice me. Thanks for this one!

Many a Saturday spent on this cricket ground in the past.
Thanks for bringing me back here

Easy find. And even though there was a cricket match on, we were able to hide behind the pretence of tourist photography. TFTC
Headed down south with C&D and 11HPG11 for the CHCH Mega as part of the HOAC team, and decided that a Mega road trip/Mega Mission was the right thing to do. We landed in CHCH late Friday night and after picking up the rental car we bee-lined it straight to Dunedin to grab a few hours sleep before the mission truly started.
The goal for today was to locate a certain few geocaches which help for certain challenges that we are all currently working on, and to explore some pretty cool country, before getting to tomorrows starting point in Omarama. We thoroughly enjoyed this day of the mission and saw some pretty awesome places, and managed to achieve most of what we wanted. A big thanks to everyone for placing all the caches, and I apologize in advance for the copy and past logs!
After a enjoyable trip North to Naseby we decided we'd spend some time here and do a bit of exploring in the area, before heading over Dansey's Pass. We all decided after a bit of exploring around that this place was a pretty neat place, so we thoroughly enjoyed this part of the day. Thanks for bring us to this place.
Nice and quite here, so a nice quick find.

What a Mega Mission for a group of Hamilton Over Achievers! A great trip, a long time in the planning. I teamed up with Cats&Dragons and HKCB to grab a couple of caches while in Christchurch and surrounding areas for the 2015 Mega Event. We flew out from Auckland on Friday night and traveled to Dunedin in the dark of the night. Stopped for a few hours sleep before setting off to grab caches in the Otago area on Saturday before attempting a few more on Sunday and then arriving at the Mega on the Monday. An amazing, yet crazy road trip
Interesting old artifacts, loved exploring this little township. Thanks for the cache

This was the start of a MEGA caching weekend in the company of good caching friends. In the company of both HKCB & 11HPG11 this was going to be another memorable caching road trip for many reasons.
After driving down from Christchurch last night, sleeping in the car in Dunedin , and getting a good early start this is the practice day for the planned mission for tomorrow , thats not to say we are not taking the day seriously, but there were roads to travel, views to see (so unlike what we were used to in the Waikato) and of course caches to grab.
All in all it was going to be a big day with a number of challenges, great sceanery, and of course great company. Fantastic driving along and up here as the landscape was so different from what we are used to back in the Waikato. One good thing about backroads being that we could continue our neferious activites without being disturbed by muggles.
Havingleft Sutton Salt Lake behind adn now Ranfurly we were continuing our journey. Although now the fuel situation ewas begining to rear its head and making us think that maybe we had forgotten something important
Nice quick find here without any issues .
thanks for the placement , thanks for the cache

Quick find it was visible as we approached explained what the gun was for to the kids as we signed the log. Found while in omakau for the weekend tftc
Second cache of two today and twenty for the weekend. We were down to spend a night at the Royal Hotel in Naseby for a night, then a night at the Dansey Pass Hotel. We'd checked in, had a drink and a meal, and then decided to go for a walk rather than stay in the bar with the rugby on (not our bag baby). Surprisingly it was Not Manly Jack who suggested looking for a cache too. Made the find on a brisk evening, by the light of a cell phone torch.

Thanks to all the owners of the geocaches that we found today on our daytrip from Alexandra to Naseby. We had a beautiful day with a lot of caches found!
TFTC and greetings from Belgium.

A bit of a competition by 10 5 - 8 year olds to find this one! Took a while......
Interesting place to visit while on a wee road trip down south. Very quick find here thanks.
Tftc. Crayzee2 got this one. Was a bit reluctant to go get it out in such an open area, but no muggles evident, so a quick grab was made.
.. quick easy find. A geo coin is recorded as being in this cache, however did not see it in the cache.
After visiting the museum, we no longer wondered about the purpose of the gun. TFTC
We wanted to go and do some walking in the woods, but unfortunately all signs on the gate. The bush is closed because of a fireban.
We do need to see that Naseby is a nice little village and because we didn't want to leave without at least having a cache we went for this one.
No coin in the cache. Oh by the way....good coffee in the caffee

1st week of a 3-week summer road trip around the South Island with our kids & staying in a Naseby crib tonight. The pact for the trip is a few quality cache finds each day or risk mutiny from the rest of the family, who don't share my sistema-obsession. A lovely evening so dragged the crew out for a walk after dinner: there were groans that I just wanted to go caching again but it didn't take long for them to start running ahead, exploring & making the finds.
Our teen spotted this one as we approached so it was a nice quick grab, without a single muggle around to wonder what we were up to this evening, tucked away a little more to make it less obvious from afar, TFTC

Headed through Naseby to Ranfurly on the weekend and decided to see if there were any caches around. Only had time for a couple and this one caught our eye - well worth the decision. What a great place - history and fun mixed into one. Left a geocoin - please read goal before taking.
Quick find with Granville86a, great display of some of the local gold mining era, TFTC
Easy find while on a side trip from cycling the Rail Trail. Cute little town with friendly and helpful locals who did so much to help us when one of our party became unwell. TFTC.
