US14 ET Highway Trip with Sol de Lune and Mtrax. Day 6. Based out of Twentynine Palms for the day we set out to attack the HMD series as best we could. A dust storm restricted out eastwards starting point, but we still had a solid day along this road, even though the edge was pretty soft most of the time. Having finished the HMD we could get to, it was time to spend the afternoon caching around town. Quite different from all the desert micros. Thanks.

another day in 29 Palms completing the HMD series, , hitting town and gathering up a few local caches before calling it a day

Logged as "SAM" which is a team of three Sol De Lune, Albida33 and Mtrax. Visiting the US as a team for the 2nd time, our mission to complete the ET series but before and after do some more exploring and geocaching along the way. Our tour starts around Barstow and a few days in Las Vegas before caching over to 29 Palms before hitting the ET Highway straying at Rachel and Tonapah.
Our second stage of our trip saw us doing a loop around Wyoming, Nebraska, Sth & Nth Dakota and Montana before finishing back in Los Angles, our finds for the trip totalled well over 4,000 geocaches.

Found with Albida and mtrax during our 4 week 2014 US adventure. Logs were signed as S.A.M...

Did parts of the this series in small sections to ensure we were on the correct side of the road. All went well and we managed to grab quite a few in the series, which turned out to be a bonus.

Thanks for the fun and the finds.....

Day 7 of our California Caching Trip started in Twentynine Palms, CA. After having breakfast we went out and toured Joshua Tree National Park. What a cool place to visit and so much to see that we have never seen before. We took lots of pictures and had a great time viewing the park. Smile After that we headed to Pioneer Town to visit the place where many old west movies were filmed. It was a really cool place and we took lots of photos there as well. Smile After that we headed back to Twentynine Palms, CA. We cached on the way back and in the town of Twentynine Palms and come up with 25 of them. It is sad that our time here has ended and leaving the warm sun and heading back to Vancouver. Sad But we had a great time with Val and Jim and the overall experience was worth the trip. Smile TFTC. Signed log as "The Route 66 Roadrunners". Thanks windscorpion for placing this cache! Cool Find #19 of 25 for the day.

Greetings from Washington State! For the second spring vacation in a row we have come down to the southwest to do some power trail caching. Last year was the ET Highway and this year the Mojave Desert. Jholly, Geek&Gopher and I made up Team Roadrunners/Route 66. The first few days were Route 66, followed by Lake Havasau, HMD Series, some of the Cadiz and finishing up with some of the local ones in 29 Palms, Joshua Tree and Yucca Valley. We had a lot of fun making a huge mess in the rental van, making dust peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, sweating, sunburns, chugging water, we collectively we took over a 1000 pictures, shared a lot of jokes, laughing and most importantly making memories and creating that experience that will last a lifetime and beyond. Thank you all for the caches. Signed log as "The Route 66 Roadrunners". Thanks windscorpion for placing this cache! Cool Find #19 of 25 for the day.
