Well its the long weekend and I was wondering what to do so a trip up to Bendigo was called for. This weekend will help me continue along with my streak which I want to get to 183 as any more is just to hard to achieve.Im having to resort to detours on the way home from work but a weekend trip away will help me along and also any excuse to get out of Melbourne is a great idea.I had solved this one a while ago and the last time I was up this way it had been raining for a few days and I had the wrong vehicle to try and look for this one.It was a fresh morning but the sun was out so hopefully its going to be a nice day.I made my way in and soon arrived at GZ.My GPS jumped around a bit but I soon found what I was looking for.Oh thats what I have to do.My fourth pick soon had the logbook in hand.A great puzzle to do and a great puzzle to finish it off.A fav goes out to you for this one. Thanks The Morris and micaparamedic TFTC.

So I am repeatedly finding that I am not very good at sneaky puzzles. This one took me quite a long time to find the solution, but once discovered it was an easy solve and a pleasant drive out to find. Thanks for the fun The Morris.

Wow, no worries working out this puzzle, but the same could not be said regarding access to the cache. Bendigo sure has had plenty of rain this winter/spring Big Grin.
Thank you The Morris for this beauty of a cache.

Found after attending the 2022 Mega event at Wangaratta.

I drove across from Adelaide with Freddo. We took a week to get there and back as we meandered our way around northern Victoria, camping mostly along the river and generally avoiding contact with other people as far as possible to minimise covid risks.

We targeted some specific caches of interest, but also took the opportunity to find other random caches opportunistically as we were passing. Most of the puzzle caches we found were solved prior to leaving Adelaide in preparation for the trip.

Thanks The Morris for the puzzle and the cache.

Interesting to check this again. Must be a different log book to saw stuff!! Anyway love an ammo can in the bush!! Hmmmmm

I have teamed up with TeamAstro to do some caching on a road trip from Adelaide to Wangaratta for the Mega.

Prior to my visit I had solved a few puzzles and this was one of them. Today we made the find. Our second ammo can of the day. Oh no it is locked. Which one is the

Solved this puzzle around the campfire zooming in and out on my phone. Arriving at GZ I tried a couple of keys and thought I’d struck it lucky early. The key slid in but didn’t turn. I continued the search but wasn’t having much luck. Before continuing on the search I decided to go back to that first key. Sure enough I just hadn’t given it enough of a turn... arghhh... great cache!

Thanks micaparamedic for the cache.

We enjoyed completing this cache. Fun!
School holidays yet again, Team Clarmensma (myself, GemmaSistema, boo09, neisha07 & the Sistema boys) jumped in the Prado for some adventures in Bendigo.
An event to start us off, we caches the day away until event #2 and dinner time then decided to keep going by torchlight, not getting home until midnight.
An enjoyable day spend with good company. TFTC

Ooh this was awesome. Solved during the week and collected today. A fav point coming your way.

With the school holidays upon us becca85 and I teamed up with our posse of geokids (AdamSistema, LukeSistema, neisha07 & boo09) to form TeamClarmensma (which we signed the logbook as). We could only manage a day trip so decided to meet in Bendigo and cache up a storm. We started in town before heading out of town towards Whipstick then coming back in. A great day was had with only a few DNFs and some amazing clever containers. Thanks to all the cache owners for their efforts - we really appreciate it.

dalerious worked out this puzzle on the way here, and he, Muggle Hubby and I spent a pleasant quarter of an hour in the sunshine with this field puzzle, and dalerious scored the prize of eighteen months unloved on this one, and I collected the trackable which has languished in this cache for far too long.
I did not leave another here, in case it suffered the same fate.
Thanks for this ingenious cache, a definite favourite for us.
Termites are trying to reclaim this area, cache and all! We dusted it off and cleaned it up for you.

A 4 day trip from Adelaide to Everton, Beechworth and surrounds.

8 of South Australia's finest caching teams came across the border Freddo, Team Astro, The White Dog Gang, Four Fun, Unicycle, Southern Cross Caching, Shonkloic, and Team Waldron hit the bike trails and country back roads.

It wasn't nice the the mozzies were sent to defend the ceches against us but we persisted.

On the way home we visited Bendigo, St Arnaud and many towns in between.

Many thanks to all the cache owners who put out caches for us to find.

A great time was had and we left enough to make another trip worthwhile.

Smile Found on an awesome trip with the SAW STUFF boys (Shonky, Astro[me], Waldron, Southern Cross, Whitedog, Unicycle, Freddo & Four-Fun). The trip had it all including this awesome cache. There were pots and schooners (no pints) Surprised, mazzive mozzies the size of small elephants Razz we hitched rides on, realistic lizards, real live [xx(] kangaroos that got to close and uphills. Then there were bikes and pumps. There was sweat and dust but no tears. That one! We CAME. We CACHED. We SAW STUFF. Eight South Australian caching teams on the prowl in Lake Victoria. We were attacked by vampire mosquitoes. We were attacked by rogue magpies. We were attacked by brown snakes. We were attacked by running kangaroos. We were attacked by publicans and cooks. In the end we got the message and went home, but not before finding lots of hidden cachey things using billions of dollars of satellites and cheap hand-held devices.

Up in Bendigo for the Surf Coast BBQ Event this weekend we decided it was time to do the extra miles and clean up the long solved puzzles up here in the Kamarooka State Park. It took us so long that one has been archived in the meantime Sad
With all the recent rain the roads leading to these 3 Mysteries was still safe to drive on in the 4X4 but on exiting the other end was totally another matter. We suggest saving these caches for the dryer season especially if you are travelling in a normal sedan.
A great puzzle with a better ending. A favourite for this one from us.
Thanks The Morris for the fun hide.

Find #851 for me. When I first saw this puzzle I had no idea what to do with it and put it aside. I came back to it a couple of times before I finally noticed the key that I needed to see. How did I miss that?? From then on it was easy to solve and reminded me of a Wiggles counting book that my son liked when he was younger. Driving out to make the find this morning, I wasn't sure how close I could get to it in my 2WD but as it turned out, the road was fine so I could turn this into a "drive-by". When I got to GZ I was pleased to make a quick find. The first thing I noticed were all the spider webs covering the hiding place. Was this cache so unloved or were the spiders here just keen to make a home here? The second thing I noticed was... well, let's just say that it became suddenly clear that this wasn't going to be the quick "drive-by" I had envisaged - In fact it took me 20 minutes to open the container and sign the log after going through the whole container without success and having to start again from scratch since I obviously missed it first time through! ...But I got there in the end! Thanks for the puzzle and this very *evil* cache The Morris!

Great one we really liked this one and some decent swaps to for the little ones we liked the two section container for sorting to, this one gets a favourite from us TFTC

Myself and Ahomburg were passing by picking up centroid caches when this cache and its high number of favorite points was noticed. Mmmmm need a mystery cache type for today and so work was started to solve the puzzle on route and within mintues a logical GZ was agreed. As we were heading to the Bendigo event we did not have time to look at the other caches that are obviously near by. This was a fun retrieval. and within a few mintues the log was finally in hand. A favorite.[^]

Find #6428

Out and about for the first time in a while with my caching mate SedgwickDave. We had 2 main aims today, to find the Centroid Challenge cache as well as the cache that qualifies us and secondly attend the 2 Months to MEGA event in Bendigo which by chance was close to both of our centroids. It was promising to be a Beautiful day, so we left nice and early to fit in as much as we could in the day.

After finding both our centroids, we had a look at the caches on the way towards the event. Managed to quickly solve this one, so made a slight detour to pick this one up. Nice puzzle, and loved the twist. Took about half the box and the log was signed. Razz

Thanks to The Morris for the cache. TNLN

Find # 1893 @ 1520H

Being on holidays what a better way to spent a day than planning a caching day and to head north of Bendigo.
This ended up being a day of 42 finds, way over what I expected and almost 400ks travelled (a lot of back tracking and some getting lost in the bush, But the GPSr did say there was a road there!)

I have had this puzzle solved for some time along with some others up this side of Bendigo, so it was kind of the reason for my visit/exploration of this area.
Thinking that the puzzle was done I assumed that the hard part was over. but what was to greet me at GZ soon had me cursing, now thinking that I had had a lot of luck today I was expecting a long time here and it was. I was down to the last handful when I soon was able to place my name in the log.

TFTC The Morris well worth a fave.

Suscoe's 23rd find of 36 for today as we headed out to the North West and North in the great company of our mate Bushfire.
This was to be a full day of wandering about clearing up many caches together.
We had a great time and enjoyed the terrific country side that we passed through.

Well the puzzle was sorted, and as we were heading past today we needed to stop.
Oh boy what a nightmare!
Luckily we had some helpers and one of them fluked it!

Some people are just lucky we guess.

Thanks to The Morris for the special moment!

Today on an impromptu and totally unplanned caching day, I ended up searching for 'Unknown' caches [:o]
Oh there's nothing more fun than turning up close to a waypoint and finally realising that you aint going to find it without some puzzling Razz
I was doing nothing else all day and had nowhere really to go, so with a dodgy internet connection I managed to get the log page to download to my 'puter while sitting at a picinic table in the middle of the bush Big Grin

Huh !!

I made some sense of the image, but something was missing ? [:o)]

It took a good 30 minutes, but eventually the lightbulb above me head started to dimly glow !!
Oh how did I miss that for soooooooo long Red Face

With the coords to paw,
I headed off along the tracks to GZ.
A sense of foreboding accompanied me [:o]
Somehow I knew that this cache was going to put up a fight !!

At GZ I had to wait a while until I could stop laughing Big Grin
You rotters !!!! Twisted

Fortunately when the lightbulb went on,
I switched on to a likely ruse Wink
And finding the logbook took me less than a minute [raspberry]

One of two caches found today that I had worked out the answers to for quite some time. Managed to find the way to GZ and once there was faced with....... Was tempted to beg for mercy but gave it a go and surprised myself with findign the answer after about 10 goes, using a fair degree of logic.

A nasty one The Morris but at least it is a Large - not too many of those around.

After spending countless hours working out many mystery caches between Geelong and Bendigo it was time to change some of them into smilies.
Now some I have needed a hint and others a great big shove as I think cachers are getting smarted and more devious with this class of hide.
This cache was easy enough to get a set of co-ords but as it turned out my problems were about to get a lot harder.
Without giving anything away I struggled here while sitting on a stump in the early morning sunshine with only the birds for company while I tried to figure out this field puzzle.
I thought I had the answer but it did not work so back to trying again. After many disappointments, success.
All I will say is that the ageing Bushfire has not made it easy for the next hunter. The answer is there but well hidden.
This is a very well thought out cache and gets a favorite point from me.

After riding to within 5km of this cache yesterday in a bid to fill in a few of the "missing days" on our caching calendar I returned today.

With the weather tipped to hit 39 degree I headed out early so I could return home before the heat became too much.

I arrived just near 7am after riding along a roundabout route from another nearby cache to find a cache container that quite surprised me. The container was great and the twist to the puzzle was fantastic. Those who have visited this cache will understand when I say "about the 30th one".

Thanks The Morris for a terrific puzzle.

Well this one sure was a very fun adventure. I took my 5 yr old geonephew out 'treasure hunting' for the day with my teenage daughter and her best friend. We picked geonephew up and thought we would get this one first as it is close to his house. Despite having looked it up on Google prior to leaving for some unknown reason I still believed Willis (my car GPS) when he told me to turn my small non geovehicle (fiesta) off the main road and onto a very small dirt road instead. That is where the adventure really started! The girls thought it was really funny and even after 25 minutes of driving on tracks that were meant for 4wd they were still laughing and egging me to continue. Geonephew was quite unsure and thought that we should turn back the way we came in case we saw a dinosaur!
After about 30 minutes of nervous driving we FINALLY discovered the cache which we totally loved!
We decided it was all worth it and the kids said it was the best one they had done (that came from a simple sum: adventure getting there+fantastic cache= best cache we have done together).
I totally ignored Willis on the way out and surprise surprise we reached the main road in less than 5 minutes of driving= yes, the main road that Google had originally told us to come in on.
Ahhhhh, when we I ever learn?

Thanks for the terrific cache!

Mrs TiedyeSmileys was all keyed up as we drove in to this one (she is super worry wort and we could only imagine how she would be if we ever got a 4WD Smile ). We parked on the main track and walked in to the cache, really enjoying the stroll in. The cacti along the way were cute as well.
Was surprised at the cache (pleasantly), what a fun cache. We didn't get the full effect when found, but trying to make sure the next person did, we then had the fun of trying to set it up which took us quite a while Smile.
On the pleasant stroll back to the car we saw some cute marsupial hopping into a tree hollow.
A few minutes after we left, the rains started to come down. When we hit the bitumen, it started to really bucket down. Lucky we were off the dirt roads by then.

#1079 @ 12.20pm. On our way to the Flashmob event in Bendigo with team haveanez it was decided to swing by a couple of caches which Mrs H had solved on the way in - after Mulga Bill this was our 2nd stop in this area & last before the event. We were very impressed with the cache container - we've come across some big ones in our time but this by far surpasses what we've seen. Had to decobweb container as some eight legged friends had taken up residence - amazing how a pen can also convert into a decobwebber (a very handy caching implement). Managed to solve this puzzle at home once I had the key Wink. Thanks for the great cache concept and puzzle The Morris - really enjoyed this one [^]. Needless to say as we weren't expecting to come to this cache initially so didn't come prepared - shame as we have heaps of spares Big Grin. TNLN

Well,we took the short road with our Rosebuds and Harrowang took the long road from Mulga Bill...according to our GPS's. We were hot on the scent, but incorrectly dressed, I was troubled by ants. RB1 was bothered by the spider webs but soldiering on with a stick, when I, looking at ants, walked into a big orb web! Whilst doing the spider dance with accompanying shrieks I did catch sight of the huge spider heading skywards..phew, but it shattered the girls ...and my...nerves. It soon became apparent it was best to postpone the challenge until winter! So were looking forward to it!

Found on our Bendigo Bash with team Skullracing!
This was another fun puzzle to solve, and even better cache!
Couldn't believe our eyes when we located the cache....for a number of reasons....! Big Grin
Dodged the redbacks and opened it up!
We were rushed for time, so we signed log and headed for town.
Definately a top cache! Enjoyed it all! Many thanks.

33rd cache on the second day of our caching run to Bendigo with my good mate Marty (Quasar3671). 64th for the trip so far. Into night caching mode for the second night in a row, so the torches were in use. Had been very much looking forward to getting to this cache. Biggest container i have came across so far. Sensational twist at the end. Lol. Took some time, but got it in the end. Unfortunately, due to missing a bit of work with family dramas in the preceeding week, i was not able to add any more keys. One of my favorite caches to date.

I was glad for Evince, as my counting wasn't so good at 2am on night shift Smile
I dashed to GZ and dived into the container before the restocking process - fortunately.
Lord Morris also took pity and gave me some assistance after a while (I think they wanted to get to the Event before it got too dark!)
Great idea for a cache.
Thanks, Robmc.

Had the coords for this for a while, just hadn't gotten around to getting out here. A great hide. Loved the keys. TFTC The Morris. SL.

What a great cache!
Drove from "Ruined" to this one. The boys loved going through this one, and as such the access to the cache took a lot longer than it may have.

Had a crack at this one as I had to pass the area to go on a camping trip. Found Mulga Bill easily but this one had me stumped. And I didn't even have to decipher a poem to get there! I shall return!! Nice area, never been in there before. I may have to consult the Morris before I make the trek back.

Found fairly easily after an enjoyable time solving the puzzle. Thanks to The Morris for another brilliantly conceived and executed cache.Swapped a smiley eraser for a seal.
However....don't sit on the ground at GZ. The burrs tend to make you regret it for the rest of the day. Luckily had spare shorts in the car!
Now off to Mulga Bill.

It took me a while to work this one out, but once I found the key it was much easier. Also, I think I might have found one of my car keys!

Was raining between caches (luckily whilst driving).
Caused the geo car to slip and slide a couple of times.
I enjoyed that but the other members weren't so keen on it ...
I also liked watching the kids have fun with the keys.
Thanks for the enjoyable cache idea.

This is by far one of the best finds I have done so far.
I was introducing my brother in law to the world of caching and decided to do this one not far from his house. He thought it was the coolest thing he had ever seen. Now to explain to him that this one will be hard to top.

Thank you for this excellent hide.

Completed this cache in conjunction with the Mulga Bill cache. After completing the puzzle and arriving at GZ the cache was quickly located. However looking inside, in the words of Queen Elizabeth II, 'We were not amused'. Those who have completed the cache will understand the comment and those yet to complete will find out the meaning soon enough. Took Brisbane Bat TB, SLTFTC

3rd find of the day and 1912th total find at 14:25.

We are attempting to clear out Bendigo. We tried it once before a few years ago, and had a wonderful time.

Solving the puzzle was half the fun - it appears that some internet browsers don't tell the whole truth. Needless to say we had to ask for a little bit of help.
We gave a big groan when we found the cache. A, it's heavy and B, it is definitely not what we expected.
Well we should have known!!!!!!!!

Took: Nothing
Left: Screwdriver (It's the green one)
Dropped Batman TB

Thanks The Morris for the cache.

What a great idea for a cache hide it was right up my alley I solved the puzzle which was a fun one to complete and made my way to gz while on route to a dance at Campbell’s Creek. Gz was in a national park I had never been to before. Having not confirmed the gz location with evidence I was hoping I was in the right spot and was happy to see a giant cache container possibly the biggest I’ve come across. It all fitted in well with the cache theme and I picked the final part of this great puzzle cache first off. Thanks for the hide a really enjoyable cache (I’ve been inspired)

What an excellent hide. My oldest daughter found it and she was wrapped. But after opening it everyone just went WOW how cool is that!!!.

Fantastic hide. One to remember that's for sure.

Keep up the great work.

This was our second cache on our economic stimulus of Bendigo via Myer trip. Nice to tackle a puzzle that was a bit of a challenge but one that you at least knew you were on the right track to cracking.
We enjoyed the drive through the area after leaving Mulga Bill and the weather was sensational today.
Was we arrived at GZ we found the start of the cache container and it was great to see one of this size. Things changed from there on and we we live the element of surprise for other cachers. I do wish that this was one of our caching journeys that we did with Silver dice though! He did offer to do an after hours call out thought but his rates were a bit steep though. Apparently, it would have cost us a hamburger with the lot, a packet of salt and vinegar chips, 6 chicken nuggets, a packet of tic tacs and a slab of bundy. Odd.
Thanks again The Morris for breaking our drive and seeing a very nice part of this area. Cheers.

I must confess to having a little prior knowledge as to what to expect before I arrived today, but in my planning completely forgot about it and was worried I might be out here for a while. Fortunately I had it sussed on my fifth attempt but I fear how long it might take someone!

I have never visited this park before and it reminded me of other bushland south of Bendigo. There were a few birds and wallabies about. A tree across the track wasn't a problem either as others before me had cleared a detour around it.

Many thanks for a great concept and a fun cache guys!

We were all keyed up for this cache. As we were leaving Bill in the mulga we followed the dust cloud of oenze & feathertop. The treasure was revealed without too much difficulty. It was encouraging to catch up with some lock minded people.
SLTN Left lock & key. Thanks The Morris.

The geo-coin I Spy visited the cache in the ongoing quest to visit mystery caches.

I have always liked a Morris cache, always have and always will especially one involving keys and Mulga Bill.
Coincidentally I was headed to Echuca for work so these two fitted in nicely with my plans.
Hooked up with Oenze and ran into Phetlern at GZ.
Thanks to their help it didn't take as long as it might have.
Thanks to the Morris

Find # 2687 and the 11th of the day at 2:20pm. Accompanied by feathertop on a well overdue trip to Bendigo. On the way to GZ for this cache, we saw a local couple being verry friendly and waving to us as we drove past then noticed them following us and thought that they might be geocachers, after making out last turn off seeing they were still following us then we realised they had been, it turned out to be Phetlern, so we found the cache together and had some fun trying to open it, very enjoyable cache all round. Found by Roma and Max.
First impressions of this puzzle caused our puzzle solving team member to express some concern as to her ability. However then the scheme of things fell into place and it was with some relief to find an amenable evince result! That program can be a real pain at times, especially if one starts out on the wrong foot.
We must admit c@w, who campaigns for just this sort of thing, would be proud of your container and even more so with its contents. One never knows quite what to expect with a Morris hide and this was no exception.
Once again it was with relief that we managed to sign this log and we did exchange a Shark Bottle Opener Key Tag and a Spirit of Tasmania Poncho for a Fairy Padlock that we are sure our part time caching grand daughter will be pleased to receive.
Thank you again The Morris team for this very different challenge and such a well put together puzzle and cache.
From Romax.
