Logs
Thanks. We took the wrong track to access so a wee bit of a scramble. Beautiful autumn colours. With Still Skittles. Log a little damp.
A bit of an adventure to find this one. Stopped to sample some blackberries along the way. Cache contents all very water damaged, including log sheets. Gave cache a good clean and dry, added a new white sealable bag with paper to use as an interim log sheet. Original damaged log also put back in cache, but is mostly illegible. With Mikey1971 who remembers the confidence course when it was functional. Thanks for the cache - now to find a way back to the road
Decided to go caching around Naseby during the curling competition with Greatgod86 TFTC! ️
This was a hard one! We took a long way around. It’s not actually far from the road.
It’s not near the old confidence bridge but about 20m south. It’s also a few metres south of the coordinates.

Biking/caching around Naseby on the last day of our holiday. Found with Conbat once he retrieved his phone from down the gully! TFTC!
I'm Confident the bridge wouldn't hold me... log is in a bit of disrepair, but still signable.
Just getting to ground zero shook my confidence haha . By the time I got there I’d forgotten the hint but soon spied his hiding place. Tftc
Found this cache while in Naseby for the Australian National Curling Championships. Found on our last day in town before heading back to Australia! TFTC
A wee bit South of the coordinates but we found it. Log too damp to sign sorry.
For me the coords were about 10m out, and pointed to a very nasty area in the gully. It was actually on top - I made it .684,.508 It was also very wet and mushy. Only just writeable. TFTC.
Wading to the cache through the remains of chopped down trees to gz.... No sign of confidence! TFTC!!
Spending the weekend in Naseby and getting a few caches after having a few busy weeks at work. Needing a break!! We used to come up here a lot when the kids were little. One of my favourite places in the world. So peaceful and quiet. The trails up here are very familiar as we used to bike a lot with the kids around here.TFTC.
Easter family adventures. Staying in Naseby a few nights. Came out to Ranfurly this morning for a bit of a bike around. Used to come to Ranfurly a LOT growing up with both sets of grandparents and several Aunts and uncle living here. Whilst the boys went for a bike MrsTG and I went for a wander.....looped up and around and back then up here; the boys by now had meet back up with us and had a bit of a clamber on the remaining 'bridge'...fun.
7. found today, second one in Naseby. I arrived after night spent in Danseys Pass Base Camp with 5 guys on motorbikes. Let my car near Holiday Park and took a bike carrying with myself. Awesome combination car with bed + bike!
Inhospitable place but still worth walking here for cache.

Decided that today's target would be to get as many caches as possible in the Naseby area. Some of the plan got side tracked by more interesting caches and some caches were unavailable due to all the holidaymakers in town.
After finding the cache at the cemetery, I used a satellite map to determine the best entry point for this cache. Chose correctly as it didn't take too long to make our way to the abandoned confidence course. Once we determined which side the cache would be on, it was soon found. tftc

Wasn’t sure I was in the right place but the goords were spot on. Visited with some trackables. TFTC. Lovely spot.
We've driven up this road so many times not even realising a cache was stashed close by. My GPS was out by 9m - stumbled (literally) upon it, spotting it poking out from underneath its covering.
After a great weekend at the wild food fest in hokitika and then a road trip down the west coast it was time to head home. Stayed in omakau last night giving myself a few hours this morning to knock off as many Naseby caches as possible.
Last one of the day ..gotta start the long drive home ..nice quick find tftc

Headed to Naseby for a weekend of caching. Awesome weekend for this!! TFTC
Easy find when I was in right place cache looking good confidence corse not so much TFTC
9.55: Our second attempt in this place after two years, we like Naseby very much so it was no question about returning this year. We do not anymore what was the obstacle then in finding this cache in December 2016. But today everything went very fast within minutes we held the little green box in our hands. Getting to GZ across all those stumps was the biggest problem here.
Weather: scattered clouds, sometimes a few sunbeams, 18°C;
Wheelchair: on the road only, about 30 metres remaining, within viewing and calling distance to the cache;
State: all good.
IN & OUT: nothing.
Thank you!

Oops meant to write more - cache looking good. Confidence course not so much.
Spending a day cyclocaching in Naseby. After stopping for a delayed lunchbreak it was time to go seek some more. Easy find. I somehow don't have any confidence that the Confidence Course will be reconstructed here. Thanks for the cache Bitsprayer.
Very cold today ..out getting a few caches around Naseby...after scramble and search ...found all good signed and replaced thanks Bitsprayer
How random is That?? Fun cache to get to. Ditched bikes and headed in. All goid thanks Bitsprayer
Bit of a scramble to find it but we did!
We could not sign the log book because it was
completely sodden.

Unfortunately someone didnt seal the bag so book is ruined but this was a good one to find
1 January 2018 14:28. I wasn't full of confidence as I approached GZ, but I rechecked the most likely hint item and found it. Too wet to sign though, so photo as proof of visit. Tftc
Felling has made this one a bit tricking. But fun finding it with granddaughter. Tftc. Log book is drenched. Couldn’t sign it. Needs maintenances.
Up early and with hour to go before had to get to the other bach the team are getting briefed I thought as it was only 130m from where I was staying, how could I not go hunting for it. Took some time to get a route to the container but all good when there.
Stopped at Naseby this morning for some brunch and a bit of a look around. Given the mess the area is in after the logging, I surprised myself by finding this one within a couple of minutes. Signed log, TFTC
I'm down in Otago to cycle the Otago Rail Trail over a relaxed 5 day period and took the opportunity to find a few geocaches along the way. Day 3 was from Oturehua to Ranfurly and then a side trip out to Naseby for the night. After being shuttled out to Naseby I then had the afternoon to wander around town and find a few caches. Despite the rubble in the area I was still able to find the cache after a short search. TFTC!
We didn't think we'd find this one with all the logging in the area but we did! TFTC =)
Another great find while slowly heading to the Christchurch Mega.
Thanks for adding to the enjoyment of this trip.
