I took a new cache to replace the missing one but the leaf litter and vegetation has gone. I will need to think of something different.

Mrs Just a Trifle, Dutchie1950, Rhyssa6 and IolantheK stopped by to search for the cache but we were not able to locate it, even though IolantheK had found it previously.
Met up with Mrs Just a Trifle at our usual meeting place, coffee at the ready, and made the trip to Redcliffe where we were going to attempt the Episode series together with Rhyssa6. IolantheK joined us after lunch and went back to the first few before going home.
Unfortunately we couldn't find the cache, even though IolantheK was with us and had found it before.

Awesome puzzle - very nice how it comes together. I like old vehicles and I like trying to identify bits of them so I was drawn to this puzzle from afar. I had a very pleasant morning in the Redcliffe area area this one was a highlight. Thanks GeoPilots for a good cache.
After a crash landing on a nasty T5 D5 puzzle today, I was feeling a bit down. Best way to fix that is go and find a puzzle that was very frustrating to solve, but gave immense satisfaction once done.
I spent many a night pondering this puzzle. I got part way, then hit a wall. A look at it again from a new perspective certainly helped.
At GZ today, it was nice and quiet. The cache was quickly found and is in good condition. Many thanks, GeoPilots.

Spent the day with Konie, and we headed down to cache around the Redcliffe area.
We found a good variety of hides, while driving around the beaches.
With the weather being a bit cool, most areas were muggle free.
Cache was found after a short search, and in good condition.
Many thanks for placing this cache, GeoPilots, for us and others to find.

Out and about withThe Drovers today for a few caches in Redcliffe and the surrounding areas. We managed to find a variety of caches and this was one of them. I enjoyed this puzzle and it did give me a headache until things fell into place.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Oh my god Oh my god Oh my god we finally found it one year later ... Thank you for the glues and funny thing is we have been to that spot so many times just never found the actual cache .... TFTC TNLN now with that confidence we can finish Redcliffe off our home town ...
This cache has been a real hard one for us. I'm constantly reading finds to try and get an idea. We have been given so many clues but to no avail. This time round we admit defeat and need another clue ... Sooo please can someone message us or send us another more direct clue we would greatly appreciate ... I see many others team up and help one another but unfortunately we don't have any friends that geocache ... 2 desperate soul wanting to solve this one
[Blue]# 12184[/Blue] Found on our 2015 Winter escape trip to Qld.
Another perfect autumn day for a trip around Redcliffe with the Tassie Trekkers.
A tricky puzzle that I had some help with, and a quick find at GZ.
Cheers from Wagga Wagga in the Riverina, NSW.

Today we teamed up with Roostaman and explored redcliffe. With assistance we solved the puzzle, not easy!!!! GZ found easy.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Needed help (lots actually) with this one, but in retrospect I now understand. GZ was mostly deserted except for one guy sitting below, who was thankfully mesmerised by the waves. All is well here TFTC

We have had this one on our solved radar for quite some time now, and finally found ourselves in the right locale again to drop in and have a looksee, following our recent unsuccessful search.
So - it was in the first place we looked. Not that WE saw it How often does this happen? We looked high and low, we looked at previous logs, we looked at other potential hiding places. We considered a PAF but before doing that, we thought we would re-trace our steps. And there it was! Right where we had (thought we had) looked. Right where it should be!
Thank you [Blue]GeoPilots[/Blue] for the intruiging puzzle, and the lovely scenic location of this cache

So glad to finally have this one gone, it's been taunting me since I started. Thanks to a nudge (shove) in the right direction from Slow Puncture I found I was over thinking this puzzle. Quick trip out to Redcliffe today before the rain set in and another puzzle sorted. TFTC
I solved this one quite some time ago, after spending quite some time figuring out what to do. I came by shortly after solving it to find the area being renovated.
Back last August for a look around but wasn't able to produce the goods. Different story today though.
Thanks for the cache GeoPilots, all is good with it.

Raced out for a night find as this can be a muggle zone!
Under theight of the moon we searched all the obvious locations but came up empty handed.
Found a clue in a recent log that gave me an idea. And with that I walked right up the the right spot and Ta Da!! There is the cache!!!

Mosquito in plague proportions! Again too many sightseers! Will return in quieter times.
Knowing I was coming up this way, I re-solved this puzzle (for the third time, I think), determined to finally pick it up - only to discover that when I got here, they hadn't transferred from my GSAK to my GPS (user error, of course - not blaming the tools!). So I had to call a previous finder, and after I explained how I'd solved it, he graciously shared the finals with me. On arriving, we looked around, even using torches and sticks, but couldn't find what we thought we were looking for. We almost went to check a nearby object when something made me check a different area of the thing I'd been checking and of course, there it was, easy as pie. Feeling quite foolish, we signed the logbook, re-hid it, and went off to get some fish'n'chips. TFTC, GeoPilots. =^.^=
The wind through the hair and the sound of crashing waves accompanied our find here. Thanks GeoPilots.
Yet again we didn't find it even with some clues which we thought would help us in turn it made it even more confusing .... Please please someone help us this one has just got us stumped
Found it!! Not sure how we missed it last time but we can happily now claim a smiley for our hard work. Thanks for the cache, the puzzle and the cache blindness check GeoPilots!
Checked today. Cache still in place but vegetation has been removed and tanbark added. It was hidden under tan bark exactly where placed.
Well we came back in daylight with much less wind and spent another half an hour searching all the nooks and crannies of various trees and structures within 20m of gz, but still no luck What a shame since we were so excited to have finally solved the puzzle. Wondering if the CO could please confirm the cache is there to be found? Thanks once again for the puzzle GeoPiots
We finally solved this one last night after many, many months of looking and thinking. When the light bulb finally came on we had a few hurdles to overcome to get the final numbers but persistence paid off and we soon had the happy green message from the checker! Woohoo!! With my usual lack of patience I finally nagged Freddo and the girls into driving down to look for it tonight. The wind was so strong when we got there it nearly carried us away and it played havoc with the gps on the smartphone. We searched for over half an hour before the geogirls had had enough. Locating what we thought looked like the original hidey hole and searching all around at different elevations for the container we still came up empty We will be back in daylight over the weekend (hopefully with a bit less wind) to have another try. Thanks for the puzzle GeoPilots it was a doozy! Hopefully we'll soon be able to thank you for the cache as well!
Dear GeoPilots
Have tried and tried with this one and it is just impossible we have tried to decode it and can't find anything or make sense followed the links it tells me I have used the wrong coordinates grrrr have researched the hint word that made no sense could you please give us some more glues would greatly appreciate it ... Yes tried and tried ...

I can't recall when I solved this puzzle, but it was many, many moons ago and my last visit to GZ 2 1/5 years ago was when the cache was MIA...
Out and about with Clan Gunnie today, we were heading back toward Brisbane and I asked Mrs Gunnie to pull over so Silver Sovereign and I could have another look. With no GPS, I was relying on memory for the location and soon arrived at a familiar spot. A glance in the original hidey hole revealed nothing, now I realise why after the recent replacement... Luckily, I was not satisfied with another DNF and widened the search a little. The container was soon in hand and we etched out names in the log... [^]
All done, I dropped it back and we headed off, just as a couple of muggles came wandering along the path below. All in the timing...
Nice to finally have this one ticked off. Thanks for keeping it in the game.
Cheers GeoPilots.

Second attempt at this with no success. Gave a pretty good hunt despite the number of muggles enjoying a lovely Sunday afternoon near the water.
Out with IolantheK on a freaky friday hunt. Back out on the geocycles today, with my new bike having its first geocaching expedition
I solved this one, with some assistance quite a while ago. Both times that I have been in the are the cache has been out of action.
Today was looking good for a smiley. We arrived at GZ and began our hunt. Our cache blindness continued at this one. We spent an awful long time looking for an easy find
Thanks for an interesting puzzle

Well, I hate to say it, but I was in the area and decided I just had to take my jet ski for a run... the jet ski that never gets wet, that is... and it pulled me up right next to the cache so that I could rescue the nice Geocoin inside and ride off again. If it's any consolation, I started the ride quite a few hundred metres away and spent a fair while looking at lots of places where the cache wasn't. Although I admit I don't understand what I'm trying to do with the puzzle, I'll be happy to start working through it once I get some kind of idea from somewhere. Cache is in fine condition so TFTC!
Just needed to know since replacing this cache and the coordinates are for the car park is the new cache still in the area close to where it originally was up on the hill somewhere ... We looked up and down but just need to know are the photo taken in the similar area because from the car park to the hill it is quite a large area but keen to find this one ...
The replaced cache is at the original location but the elevation is different. The coordinates will take you to the car park - the solved puzzle will take you to the cache.
A new cache placed today.... Not in the original hidey hole but at the same location.
Dropped off the Kiwi Volunteer GC.

It seems that the cache has been muggled. It will be replaced when I return from an interstate trip in about 10 days.
New bbqs & picnic tables have been installed close to gz - may have to move it slightly.

Oh how disappointed were we today, not to be able to get our hands on the cache. We had a little help with the puzzle solving, and this week we are in the area to locate some caches. We could see where the cache would likely be hidden. GZ was spot on. Mr GT54 put his hand into the hole, but could not retrieve the goods. It was well down the hole. Phoned MrsPAF, and she confirmed that we were at the correct co ords. Then phoned MRPAF, and he also confirmed our suspicions. No wire holding the cache in place. If only our arms were a little longer. We even tried our trusty magnetic extendable implement. Oh well will have to come back when it is back in place.
found as a part of the august challenge.
had this sitting in the solved book for a while and this challenge gave me a reason to get out there and find some of the solved puzzles

I was hoping to buoyantly explain the journey of solving the puzzle, but alas it did not deliver the goods. Looking at the clue, I suspect I may have missed something and will do some more research before my return...
Have now confirmed that I had transposed the coordinates from the page into the GPS !

Out and about on the bikes with IolantheK. We managed to ride almost up to Scarbough before returning to the southern end of the Houghton bridge where we started. Around 31Km [^]
After doing a couple of caches at the northern end of the Houghton bridge we decided to ride to the most northern cache we wanted to collect today and then work our way south collecting as we went. It also made the return trip a lot easier as we had a strong head wind on the way up
IolantheK had done the numbers with this cache with some hints Pprime (P`) [^]
Arrived at GZ and with a quick search found the brilliantly hiddie hole
The cache is dry and in good condition.

Out and about with T-Tech on the bikes this afternoon, doing a total of 31kms
We'd ridden from the southern end of the Houghton Hwy, across the bridge, then along the coast all the way to Scarborough, and began to collect a few caches on the way back. This one took some solving I'd had a couple of looks at it, with no success, and it took a seriously large hint from a friend at a coffee gathering for me to make head or tail of it Once I knew what to do the numbers came up pretty quickly. Today we called at GZ, and after a couple of wrong guesses T-Tech spotted the very clever hide. TFTC, Geopilots.

Finally got the puzzle. Me and a friend were going at it for a while and he finally got the first bit done. But then neither of us could figure out the rest. A previous log suggested a few ideas and there so many combinations to try. I tried a few and they were not coming up with anything promising.
Then when Princess Ninja came back from here holiday I showed her and told her about the little clue in a previous log and she picked up the literal meaning straight away. The next numbers were exactly what I was expecting so we both got it quick after that.
A nice quick hunt after that , even in the rain. TFTH.

=) I had looked at this puzzle many moons ago and came up with nothing, it bothered me at the time greatly but just had to let it go, A year later or so after doing the multi's in Redcliffe I decided I would like a perfect Redcliffe map and this puzzle came to light again, In Canberra I'd mentioned it to zita&enzo to see if they had any ideas with no luck.
The morning of the 8th saw me waking up with enzo at the table with the puzzle up on the laptop, seems this was bothering him since the night before and even thinking about it as he went to sleep lol, I suggested and idea that I thought id tried previously and it seemed some co-ords were coming out from the puzzle, this looked like we were on the right track so along came zita and all 3 of us sat down and in team style tried to finish the puzzle together, after much brain bending and some extra intelligence from enzo one of the creases was ironed out and we had a set of co-ords to run through the checker.... BAM! us 3 were psyched with the success of solving this one! .
With the hard part solved we wandered down to GZ that afternoon and the well hidded cache came to hand! , Great puzzle , great area ..... favourite point earned ........TFTC =)

Ayepeacee sent us this one a long way back for a gander. Back then we had no idea on how to tackle the puzzle. APC brought it up again with our visit to QLD so we thought we'd take another look. Enzo tried every little trick in the book - including falling asleep with it in his head hoping that the subconscious would sort it out for him. The next morning the puzzle was open again on the laptop over breakfast. APC suggested something and the light bulb came on strong. A quick test of the theory started showing results and it was pencils down to take a deep breath. Zita was brought in and the three of us got going on the translation. When we hit the first stumbling block, the group butted heads until we got past it - the same for the next one. A real group effort and a great puzzle - but capped off with a terrific hide too! TFTC Geopilots! A favourite point from us.
Had solved this puzzle ages ago with only a small prompt from Aussiemates (my puzzle gurus!) Finally found an excuse to come out here on the guise of a Sunday bike ride. Conveniently geopartner had a flat tyre almost at the exact location, giving me time to find the cache. Fantastic puzzle and cache placement! Didn't see any trackable as listed, and unfortunately couldn't fit in the puzzle geocoin I had with me. TFTC
I had been going over this puzzle for a couple of days and coming up with nothing...... So I enlisted the help of Lizard, who is a mechanic by trade. I thought he could help me identify some of the cars and maybe have a suggestion or two of how to solve this. We sat down together to sort the puzzle out and then a little light bulb popped up above my head straight away!!! I didn't need his help after all. He did help we with the finer details however. Great puzzle!
Rocking up at Scotts Point, it was a nice little stroll (maybe not so easy with a pram) to GZ. Found with out a problem. Cache is in good condition.

Well, sometime real soon translated into today. This is one of the most unreal puzzles ... I enjoyed it so very very very much.
So an early start to the day, a short drive ... and tada! Cache in hand I sat and watched the puppies at play.
Did I mention how enjoyable this cache was? I would so much love to discuss the finer details of the puzzle and the tricks and turns I went down in solving it, but I suppose not here. Suffice to say ... this one is worth it.

Whoohoo! Yipee! uh-huh, uh-huh! w00t! Yeah, baby!
Now, go get it!
This is just too cool for words ... I have enjoyed the puzzle beyond imagining. Will definitely have to make the drive sometime real soon to sign this log. Already a favourite and I don't care if it's a rusted mint tin on a street sign (which I know it won't be).

Better half agonised over this but with a bit of looking on bike ride yesterday and rethink over night we cracked it today. Better half very happy and it is celebrated as our 200th.
Yippee, Mr Parko finished solving this last night
I had been staring at the puzzle for some time but it is quite obvious I am just brain dead when it comes to any puzzle of any kind ( well most)
Loved the area, lovely to just sit and watch
Not many muggles around today which made the hunt pretty easy. Thanks for the puzzle and hide GeoPilots, a favourite point coming your way

Had solved it a while back but family life kept me busy. Was finally able to come down to find it. My 20th find. Great Cache thanks geopilots.
Find #533
As EngPhil mentioned, we'd had the puzzle solved for ages and had the coordinates in the vault for the next time we were in the area. As we had a whole day wide open with possibilities, we decided that a day of caching on the peninsula was in order, and we'd grab this one while we were out and about.

We've had this one in the solved pile for a while now (it took me WAY too long to twig to it, considering I used enjoy these very puzzles as a kid! ), so it was good to get up here and pick it up.
Coordinates were spot on, but I was searching at the wrong height. Palopinto laughed at me as she pointed at the plainly visible cache component. Log signed and replaced (it's a tight fit with that pen) and we were on our way again. TFTC and the puzzle, Geopilots! [^]

NyletaM and I have had this one solved for some time, and we decided to make our way here to cross it off the list.
After a short stroll from the parking area, the cache was in hand quickly.
We quickly signed the log, and headed off to get some lunch.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache, Geopilots.

Another puzzle we've had on the solved list for a while now. Alkzura and I decided we would have fish and chips for lunch, so the location worked a treat. We grabbed some fish and chips from the Red Dolphin (really nice food, but it's not the cheapest place, I guess you pay for quality) after the cache has been nabbed. Nice find, nice fish and chips, nice weather, all in all a nice day. TFTC
After getting a push some time ago I came up with the coordinates.
Today I was passing the area with some friends and stopped off to locate the cache.
The wind was blowing a gale and it took some effort to battle it to the cache location.
Once there it didn't take long to locate the cache.
Thanks Geopilots, A puzzle I would never have solved without the help.

Finally solved this puzzle after a light bulb moment. Out on a night raid as it is muggle central with dogs being walked and people exercising. Signed log between muggles. TNLN TFTC Thanks Geopilots on a great puzzle.
So glad this is where we thought it should be! Tricky puzzle.. Still makes my head spin! TFTC!
Finally we found it.. Couldn't find it a few weeks ago. Somehow it was exactly where we thought it should of been. Thanks for the Cache! Unfortunately no Geocoin.
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
Solved the puzzle awhile ago, but noted 0n the website that the cache needed repair. Finally got around to actually retrieving it. TFTC.
We solved this one last night with a couple of nudges so off we went today to make the find
This puzzle was great to work with, and quite difficult

Out caching with Gunnie69, Bubbly_One & I we arrived armed with correct co-ords for GZ...
The search began but all to no avail grrrrrr....
Where can it be
Even resorting to PAF wasn't a help today so we eventually headed off for greener pastures
Thanks Geopilots

The news was not good for Kaisho53, Bubbly_One and I as we hunted this one. We got to GZ and split to cover the area. Looked here, looked there. In here, over there and under that. Nothing...
There were some ideal hiding spots but they revealed nothing but air. We extended the search for quite a way but came up empty handed...
We'll be back though...

Gunnie69, Kaisho53 and I had this puzzle solved and headed to GZ hopeful of a find. We looked high, low, over, under, in, out and around and came up empty handed. We widened the search area and still nothing. Unfortunately we had to admit defeat and headed off without securing the find.
Will be back to try again!
Will be back to try again!
GeoMum worked really hard on this puzzle.. She solved the puzzle but, unfortunately after looking for a long time we had to leave it. We tried to pick up as many clues as we could from recent logs. No luck today.. It might be us.. Hopefully it hasn't gone missing. We'll keep this one in mind!
Alas!! I will have to allow more time next visit. And maybe bring a child with me next time.. They seem to be pretty good at these things?! I will return!!
A-Haa!! I figured it out!! I only stared at the puzzle for a solid two days... Now to find the time to visit and complete the challenge. Thanks!!
Solved the prob (thanks for the tip GeoPilot) searched the area including the tree at coordinates but could not find anything
This puzzle had come up in discussion recently, and with many hints being thrown around I was finally able to piece together the numbers. Went for an afternoon out in the area today, so what better chance to grab this one. Never seen this type of container before, and very suitable for the hidey hole. Signed log sitting on the grass and enjoyed the view for a while after. TFTC, a great cache.
#2412. Troodles was keen to solve this puzzle as it was within easy walking distance of our accommodation. Didn't make much progress on my first attempt, but managed to wangle some coords on my second attempt (tricky litle puzzle). Struggled to locate at GZ this morning (some of the local bird life took execption to our being there and made a hell of a racket). Eventually Troodles spotted it and I retrieved it. TFTC.
Great puzzle that StreetWalker solved a week or 2 ago in anticipation of our holiday in Redcliffe. A bit of a struggle to find and retrieve - but we were determined not to leave empty handed, as we had already failed to find the Red Dolphin cache earlier this morning.

After recently welcoming our newest edition to the family, we have been having 'treasure hunting' withdrawals as we haven't been out at all this month apart from a few new ones up our way. We were initially saving our 1000th for another cache to the north, however suspension issues on the fourby (ie springs need replacing badly) meant we just couldn't get to the one we wanted this weekend.
With a nudge in right direction from the SEQ Puzzle Group, i had this one solved …. finally.
This cache has had our attention for so many hours in the past few months because i was working down there …. it just had us mesmerised, but we couldn't work it out. Until today that is. What a great puzzle … how did you think of that?
We arrived at GZ and spotted a likely place, mmmmm …. what i was initially looking for was not obvious, so i had a look with the torch on my phone. Ahhh … there it is. Now to get it out of there. I gave said duties to my Mother-in-Law (hehe) but she came up empty handed. Janine then had a go and failed. OK …. I'll do it. I just about needed to dislocate my hand to get it in, but i got it in and retrieved the prize from its hide. Yay [^]
Some kids look like they had found it at some stage and stuffed an A4 page of random drawings and shopping lists in there, so it was pretty full. We removed the excess paper before signing the log and returning it to it's hidey hole.
Thanks Geopilots for an intriguing puzzle, a great location and our 1000th cache. [^]
So sorry to read about Keith in your profile, Liz. Our heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family.

at 15:06 we found it accidently as we were leaving having thought we had failed. It looked as if it had been thrown away as rubbish some distance from where we believe it was meant to be. We have returned it to where we think it should be and emailed the details to the owners.
TFTC GeoPilots. The actual cache is fine.

After a bit of research and some assistance from the cache owners (aka geograndparents) the puzzle was solved. At GZ the geokids quickly had the cache in hand. TNLN. TFTC.

We remember being told about this type of puzzle during a night with SA puzzle maestro Zytheran. Unfortunately, we've never seen it since, so we didn't recognise it until we had a nudge in the right direction. Nice little twist at the end of it, very much enjoyed it. Found without too much trouble. TFTC.
