Had a good look around spotted a spot that would have been a good hide, but nothing there.
Thanks

Worked out the puzzle but couldn't find this one. Looks like the area has been cleared fairly recently.
Check please as it hasn't been found for a long time and it appears that the area has been cleared.
I searched and searched but could not locate even though I followed the clues from previous logs. it looks as though there has been done disturbance at one likely spot
300th FIND!!! We had a goal to reach 300 by the end of 2015 and smashed it with a couple of days to spare! I've recently being getting into puzzle caches after avoiding them for a long time, cracked the code last night, headed to GZ post coffee today and soon had our prize in hand, swapped TBs. TFTC now for some celebratory sushi favourite point from us
Great puzzle, great cache. Frullet Jr spotted the cache we quickly signed and replaced cache and contents are in good condition. Thanks for the hide
The puzzles were solved in switzerland, thanks for the Cache, Greetings from Switzerland. Magirus
Last find and log for a successful day caching in Townsville. Had to wait out a muggle and his dog but once the coast was clear we moved in for a quick find and sign. TFTC
Would have been quicker find if Geodad had put the right coords in the GPS and hadn't gone back to the car to check the folder- the penalty was obvious - it has to be in there, signed and replaced, 3 from 3 on a Townsville road trip as we headed to the dancewear shop, thanks for another interesting cache and location HD Springer.
Looked around and had second thoughts about putting my hand in there but did it and was all good.. Watch out for snakes and what not as it is Australia! Haha
After Corikra's Stretch cache, I wandered down to the final coordinates of this cache with RobS72 who had long since deciphered the puzzle part. Rest assured that I will do the puzzle for myself still, I promise!!!!!
The phone was still a bit off with the puzzle co-ordinates but got there in the end. Nice cache and in good nick!

Passed right over my solved coordinates in search of another cache, noted that this had a dnf I gave it a try. At the second place I look and poked my stick struck plastic!
Sweet find on a day to remember. Have to google the meter long thin snake I saw on the way back.

out and about in Townsville
checking some of my solutions to Puzzle Caches that I have been sitting on for a while now
introducing a friend to geocaching to boot.
well we had a set of co-ords
and wandered off to GZ
[?]
looked, widened the search area, and looked some more
was using a pocket query with the last 5 logs ... mmm ...
* should have had a look at the phone and read some more logs
we looked in quite a few places that the logs indicate is not necessary to locate the cache
oh well, another for another time
cheers

We arrived at GZ and began our search, leave everywhere which only added to our misery. With lots of poking, prodding and even using a decent sized stick, we still came up empty handed.
Maybe we needed to go in deeper??
We'll keep an eye on this Cache and will come back for another attempt when we are in Townsville next.

A cracker morning walking up the nearby hill only whetted the appetite for more adventure. I had this one in my solved list from some time ago, and today was the day to grab it.I am a sure sucker for anything morse code or cipher, so enjoyed the puzzle I approached GZ, and was immediately confronted by the effect of winter gone....sooooooo many leaves. OMG this will up the difficulty rating for sure!
One muggle and his dog interrupted for a little while, but other than that I was left alone to search. Hmmmm nothing for a long time. check previous logs....loose rocks...what the - I must be in the wrong spot. But no!
The problem with long ago solved puzzles is you are never 100% sure how accurately you recorded the data, so I began to doubt myself. I looked and looked and looked. Just as I was about to give up I tried one last thing. Booyah!
A very interesting little container in a great little spot.
Nicely done HDSpringer - nicely played all round.

Being the last day of this visit to Townsvillle, we picked up some 'must do' caches.
Solved this puzzle last time, but ran out of time to locate it.
Parked close by, and after a short search, the well hidden cache was found.
Log was wet, dried it out as best we could.
Many thanks for placing this cache, HDSpringer, for us and others to find.

Decided to take a break with the chores so quickly decoded the message and headed out to find the cache... nicely found in first area I checked now back to the chores
This was my second attempt at trying to locate this cache. The first time, I spent 30 minutes searching with no luck. This time, I found the cache quickly in the first spot I searched. Great little container used for this cache. TFTC HDSpringer. TNLN SL {#388}.
Sitting in a seminar when the notification came through that this morsel of history was active again. We had searched for this one before and been unable to locate the prize but, on confirmation from the CO, we had been searching in the correct location.
No problems locating it today after we dashed over on completion of the 'day's activities. No clean sheet for us as RobS72 had beaten us to the replacement cache. [:o]

Continuing on with our caching streak we decided to collect this one after geoD solved it little while ago. We arrived at our calculated GZ and began our search, almost immediately identifying a perfect hidey hole. We looked in, we shoved our phones in there, and evetually stuck our hand right in, all to no avail!
Going on previous finders logs we are pretty certain we were looking in the right place but no cache was there

Was to many muggles around to go have a look, new to this whole thing and didn't quite understand what this one was! Definetley researching some more and going around a time where no muggles are around so I can have a decent look!
After my nood mistake on this one, I went to the CORRECT GZ. My error was thinking that after finding the correct coords, I placed them into the website, thinking that it would transfer to my Phone app. Not so. When I manually placed the correct coords into another navigation app, iy showed me the CORRECT GZ. Had a nice smooth navigation and a quick find. I love the fact that this game takes me to some really interesting places around Townsville. TFTC
I have just been up to Townsville to visit this cache and have to report that the cache is safe and sound in it's hide exactly where it has always been. It is nowhere near the rocks and there is no danger to the environment as it is accessed from a safe area. Obviously people should be aware of danger however if the co-ordinates say it it not near the rocks then it is not there - it is quite a distance away. Please use your GPS or smartphone to find this cache. It is also nowhere near the graves at all.
I will disable this cache until I get up to Townsville to check it. I have not been there since the last rain however the cache should not be anywhere amongst rocks. However rather than risk an accident I will leave as is for a few weeks until I can be sure that there are no changes. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS CACHE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
I note that the person reporting this cache mentioned searching amongst the rocks. The cache IS NOT AMONGST THE ROCKS and after reading all of the previous logs regarding this cache that the rocks are not mentioned. Unless someone has interfered with the hide, it is not in an unsafe position. As previously stated I will check as soon as possible.

I'm putting this one up for maintenance not because of the cache itself but because of the danger of the GZ. I notice this Cache has been around for a long time now and there has been a lot of rainfall in the last few wet seasons. When I navigated to this cache, I start to look at the hiding spots with the rock formations when a couple of very large rocks gave way and start coming falling. By very large, I mean over 1 metre in diameter. Rocks that would break your legs quite easily and kill small children. Were it not for some good reflexes, I could be in a hospital right now getting my foot put in a plaster cast. After the rock settled again, I got the hell out of Dodge.
THIS AREA HAS SOME VERY LOOSE ROCK FORMATIONS AND YOUR CACHE REALLY NEEDS TO BE MOVED DUE TO SAFETY REASONS.
Its a nice area, but we need to consider how much damage we are doing to the environment by going so far off established tracks, and what the possible dangers are to the people looking for these cahces. I enjoy a challenge as much as the next man, but not at the expence of my own personal safety.
If the cache is hidden in the rocks, please move it well away from the rocks. If not, then state this clearly and place a bold red warning to stay away from the rocks as they are VERY LOOSE.

GZ is a very interesting place. This is my second visit on caching runs. Very quiet on a Friday afternoon and the cache was quickly in hand. it looks like the hiding spot has filled with water during the recent rain but the cache contents were perfectly dry. TFTC.
After dropping the kids off at bowling for the afternoon, I slipped out and grabbed some caches. I had solved this and a heap of other puzzles at home before the trip, and being the last day in Townsville I wanted to collect as many solved puzzles as possible.

Found on the great Eclipse Trip of 2012 with Freddo.
A solid day driving between Bowen and Townsville. Much respect was given to each cache on Remembrance Day. Thanks for the fun!!
We read the logs and GZ was obvious. It has gone.

#69 Worked out the morse weeks ago, but only today on our way to A Cabin, did we remember to stop in and pick up the prize.
Walked directly to GZ and remembered a past log stating that they had to "reach in". Big monkey spotted the hole, and Champs took the risk. A couple of crawlies, no slitheries. The prize was ours.

I had suprised myself previously having co-ords for another puzzle cache in Townsville - and here was another one. I solved it again just to doule check
The area seemed a bit "unloved" which is sad indeed. The heat of the day was getting to me - but I was able to take refuge in the shade nearby and examine GZ. I eventually came up with the very well hidden beast. After a very fast fossick, I came up with the goods. They are in good condition. A nice little puzzle. TFTC HDSpringer

I had worked out the numbers for this one pretty easy while in Adleaide waiting to relocate here to Townsville.
With the mega road trip finally behind us it was time to go get this one and quickly found out we were very near here the other day doing another multi cache.
A really great area of history and the cache was found deep in it's hide.
Like others I reluctantly reached in and came out with the prize.
The conatiner is in great condition and the log is dry.
Thanks for a good puzzle and a nice stroll to GZ.
Cheers and happy caching.

Worked this one out at home in Sydney knowing I had only multis and mysteries left in downtown TSV. Headed in this morning to make a quick find. Some hard ground around here!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Hope the rain is finally gone . Went to Townsville again today and replaced the cache. Happy Hunting. Good to see a few people out searching again. What a summer!
Went to Townsville today to enable this cache - however there were about 15 workmen with vehicles there and the grass was 4 ft. tall. Needless to say it will have to wait for another day. Sorrrrrry!
Went to Townsville this morning to check on my caches and must also disable this one. It is totally waterlogged so will replace everything and return in the next week or two - provided we have not more water events!!!!
What an exciting find for you. Congratulations on persevering! I will be in Townsville in the next week or two and will get a new log and check everything out. Hope the toad is not there when I go back!
According to the GPS we were hovering over the GZ. The geo-wife identified a possible cache hiding spot and administered stick therapy to ensure no wildlife was present....but even then she was reluctant ti insert a hand. The geo-husband dutifully inserts a hand and then an entire forearm to search for the cache. Nothing but some odd-coloured fungi. The geowife, now feeling that much braver inserted her hand, rummaged around and withdrew a large toad. The toad became airborne and off she scampered. Yet another search of the same sight by the geohusband located the cache. Unfortunately we were unable to sign the log as it was saturated, but I do have a great story to share when we get back to Cairns.
Found after a short search. Cache is full of water and needs some TLC. Emptied it out as much as we could but logbook is still saturated and everything wet.
Thanks for the info - will do some maintenance when next in Townsville. Many of the logs lately around the area advise of water intrusion - just part of the weather up here at the moment. Will get to it as soon as possible.
An easy puzzle to solve and once at GZ I was a bit tentative about what I thought was the hiding spot. I confirmed that all was well and then had the cache, thanks HDSpringer. I was to later almost grab a gecko while looking for a cache!
Found it.
Solved the coded section while we ate breakfast.
Then a wander around to the indicated coordinates.
A quick easy find by geowife.
Signed the log.

Found this one the last day of the holidays with my geokiddies. The oldest was in charge of finding the three today. She is getting better and better. She also was in charge of solving the morse code. She goes to scouts so I thought that would be perfect for her.
She and the rest of us thank you for the cache.

Found today on a tourist run around Townsville. Stuck my hand in and manged to put it on a toad sitting on the cache. Bit of a jump and skinned knuckles later we had the cache in hand.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I had solved this cache before leaving Perth once I knew that I would be in town for a few days visiting BelKen. This was the first one he took me to and found the cache before my GPS had settled down.
Thanks for the cache.

Easy find thanks to all the hints on here, yes interesting having a little wonder around.....forgot to bring swap so took nothing, log is a little damp...TFTC
Thankfully the puzzle didn't present too many problems and we headed off to the cache locality. Wandered through the land of those gone by and fearlessly (read stupidly) plunged a hand into somewhere that perhaps required some more prudence than that we had today and plucked out a cache. Nice puzzle and an interesting location.

Had solved the co-ords for this a week or two ago in preparation for my work trip North. Although it wasn’t on today’s plan I decided to attempt it while steeling myself for a trip up Castle hill.
The solved co-ords took me directly to a likely cache hide but it appeared it had been muggled. I did a bit of poking around for 10-15 minutes and couldn’t find anything, given it was getting on in the day I decided to leave it to do the nearby Castle hill cache.
On the way down the hill I decided to have one more look now I had a torch with me, went back to where I thought the cache should have been and made an easy find, will teach me to be a sook about putting my hand into dark places.

This is another Cache that I really wanted t grab. I loved the morse code I used to be able to understand morse code at 18 words per minute in my military days but I have forgotten it so had to resort to other sources to grab the co ordinates. Found while in Townsville on a business trip.
The code was solved by my geek Geo daughter (10). She is really happy that I have found it with her solution but really dirty at me that I left her out of the find.
I really like the history about the area and was even able to rustle a sand goanna up a tree.

Called in today and replaced the cache - it certainly did have a hole in it! Took Geocoin Los Esperanza and will move on hopefully to Bowen next week.
I had fun with this cache deciphering the description and then we made our way to the correct loctaion. What a perfect hiding spot for the cache.
Then we spent a very enjoyable time wandering around reading all the history. It's great to see that things are being maintained, there's been a lof of repairs done which makes everything so much better.
I picked up the Aust Flag coin and dropped off Los Esperanza coin
(yes, the container does have a hole which will let in a lot of water next wet season)

Last find in Townsville on a long weekend trip. Had to solve this one with memory alone as we had no Google in Townsville, and was rather pleased with my memory, as Mr STW (who was the one who PASSED his radio licence) couldn't remember any useful facts.
The cache container has a rather large hole cracked into it and needs replacing. Loved the site but would have liked to have had more time to wander around.

Just shows - don't believe everything on TV weather - the BOM website says only a weak low - no mention of cyclone watch. However I will still leave it disabled and see what happens.
Am going to Townsville today and was going to do maintenance here - however with a new Cyclone Watch out this morning I have decided to l disable this cache until after the wet season!! Can't believe this is really dry tropics! Will get it back up a.s.a.p. when the fine weather returns.
Cache was full of water. Given its hide location, there must be a lot of water that literally submerges it. Was unable to dry out due to a imminent morning downpour.
Great hide although we had taken the wrong retrieval tool with us so it was a bit harder to extract the cache. Eventually managed to secure our prize to find that the cache was assisting in the storage of excess water and was full to the brim. As there was a threatening downpour we could do no more than empty out what was there and take a picture as proof of our attendance.
Checked this one out today on a trip up to Townsville. Hope no one was looking for it for a few hours as I put everything out in the back of the car to dry. Wow! there must have been some water coming down that creek. Everything ready to go again now.
Great Spot. We were in this area last week.
Lots and Lots of Mozzies, need to remember the spray.
Container had water in it. Log is dry.
Lid is closed tight and back in the right spot.

That was tricky. The driving directions put us a bit off the first time, but the second time we were spot on using the code. Took nothing, left a super ball. Thanks for the cache!!
