Went out here today during a days caching with The-Don.
We thought we may be able to find it as it had been replaced by JABS.
No luck today. We were in a clump of trees with so many hiding spots and the GPS was useless.
It may be still there but we were not good enough to find it.

had a brief look.then some muggles appeared so search was called off.
WHY HASN'T THIS CACHE BEEN ENABLED?

As we pasted the area we replaced this one for the owner with a film containor.
JABs.
JABs.
No luck for the third Maitland cache attempt of the day, although I acquired spectators and had to call the search off early..

This one took a little longer than anticipated (about 15min). The GPS would not settle and gave numerous spots for GZ, the cache was eventually located after being at the right angle and spotting a glimmer of plastic.

18:49 Had to be a bit wary of muggles in the area, but think I made the pick-up unseen. Noticed an old-looking geocoin in there, Nice area for a walk. Thanks for the cache.

Hey!
Found it with krazykwami.
Great spot to have a BBQ while looking for the cache!

Well this took me a little longer than I anticipated.
After a ten minute look I gave up and went and got Mrs Madstars from the car.
After another ten minutes I went to my last resort and rang Pensive Traveller for an extra HINT.
With that hint I found the cache.
I think these co-ords need to be checked and the hint changed.
I got
S 32 45.127
E 151 34.770
About 5meters away.
The hint had me looking at the base of trees and then through the branches.. As you would guess with no avail.
Anyway thanks for bringing us to this spot. I would love to find out about some of the history you hinted at though.
I think we saw snowy444 as we where leaving. I love it when you bump into cachers while on a hunt. SMALL WORLD

Found at 16:10 - the eleventh of my day's caching around Maitland with Gibbo McCool.
This one took us the longest of all the caches today for some reason - maybe because we're both tall, and crouching around in these sorts of areas is not really our thing.
It's a great park though, and at least we (surprisingly) had it all to ourselves.
Thanks vk2nen

Found it about 9:45am, quiet morning, no one around. Took 10 to15 mins to find this one. TNLN, TFTC.
...tis the season to go caching, fa la la la la la la la la...
A quick find between rounds 3 and 4 of relatives/christmas overload, co-ords were pretty accurate for mine. TNLNSL. Thanks for the hunt.

Spent about 10min looking for this one, then found it exactly where I looked to start with. Damn it. I had actually thought about putting a cache last year but was going to put it up near the rotunda. TFTC.
I found that the Co-ords were a little off but found it in the end. It is a huge park.

Tftc, Found it quite easily in the dark, however it wasn't very well hidden, so hid it as best I could in amongst all the evening mozzies. (ouch).
I was planning to go back to stockton for lunch today to get the cache I didn't have time for yesterday, but I checked the site before I left and saw this new cache and while it is a little too far for lunchtime I decide it was worth it for a chance at a *FTF*.
The cache was not too hard to find once I widened the search (it was about 6m from where my GPS put me) and the empty log was signed.
