Another Geckoh cache, another find, this one had me fooled for a second or two. Another area that was busy, even though it was early in the morning TFTC Geckoh
That one was easy. Another nice geckoh camo. Lots and lots and lots of muggles on this holiday. They all seem to be coming from the other side of the cliff with towels, fins, picnic bags... Would have loved to go and explore but I had to return to the main beach where my partner and dog were waiting (signs at the bottom of the track said no dogs as there are kiwi in the area)... TFTC
Excellent views, had to wait for some muggles to move on, then quickly found the cache. Liked the track. TFTC
Enjoyed the walk up the stairs to this one. Great vews of Ohope beach. Found cahce esily as it was quite exposed. Lid of film canister is also missing. Hid it as good as I could so log book did not get too wet. TFTC.
A nice walk on a beautiful day, the views are gorgeous. I needed the seat after all those steps though! Great camo! TFTC
Track very muddy after the slips on the track. Glad its not my house under the slip near the carpark. Great views . TFTC
found the cache easily enough, but when we got back to the car, we realised we didn't have the GPS. I think my husband set some new speed records running back up there to get it. (yes, it was still there) TFTC (& the exercise)
A quick little find on a lovely day. Far more satisfying than the next cache further on that we slogged up hills and waterfalls only to not find it! TFTC
Geckoh hunter on the loose again....got this after a little search...hadn't read the clue..was doing duet with Ymana, she bailed too early....then had too run all the way back from the beach...

Dont think I bailed more like blocked so that Ruruwha could get a few more caches then me also being foiled by the break away Ymana support group now calling themselves Waimanians !!! Nice arvo and TFTC (when i finally got it)
HeHe even thou we took the wrong track, as new to this game, we still got there before Ymana
Wow, fantastic views looking out from here - just don't look down! This track just goes up and up. Nice easy find at the top, then down down down the other side for another cache. Thanks for showing us

The 8th on our cache day-tour. A fine hide and very good views. Carried on to the next cache around, legs still holding out !
Had this on our list for a while, so glad to finally tick it off. Quick and easy find, nice camo, great views from up here. NINO TFTC
We found it nice cache good spot loved the views. Moko the dolphin was at ohope so it was a great spot for watching him.
Got the grandparents involved! Hard walk but we got to swim with the Dolphin Moko in the bay. Was amazing and a nice place to spend the day with a picnic.
Found after a long day of Whakatane caching - so many steps and hills in a small twon . Great views T4TC.
Cache was out in the open and the three year old had no trouble finding it. No pen so took photo, like another logger and will upload when I get home.
On our way over the stairway to heaven there were too many muggles around, so we tried again on the way back - quick easy find then.

Knew what to expect, as we had done the Stairway to Heaven cache previously. Nice camo, nice views.

Wow what views and a perfect place to stop and soak it up. Breakfast with Felix! We didn't have a pen so were unable to sign log so have uploaded a nearby view as the other pictures show this very cleaver hide! TFTC & big smiles!
Found as part of my three week caching trip from Wellington to Auckland - # 577. Thanks.
Netty and I chose a georgeous day to do this walk. It was hard to believe it was still winter. Part of the walk reminded me of a walk we did in Noosa a few years ago.
We found this one on a walk over to the bay today. A perfect day it was sheltered from the cool winds from the south. A popular place to be it seems. Thanks for the cache.
Team Hppo had to split up to find this one. Grampy headed up the track while the foxies and Mum wandered along the beach. Grampy reported beautiful views and a nice walk. TFTC
Today was a perfect day for hike, so I did the entire big loop from Whakatane to Kohi Point, then Otarawairere Bay, down to Ohope, and came back towards Burma Road, White Horse Junction and eventually Mokorua Gorge.
On the way I visited the folloing caches:
Stairway to Heaven 2 (GC9AAF)
O Ta Y Anotha Cache? (GC1JQ19)
Kiwi project Ohope Beach TB Motel (GC1H4AQ)
Bruce's Cache (GC1HRH0)
Whakatane Birdwalk (GC1FQM1)
What a lovely spot for a cache. Amazing view! I found it without problems, and left a little gift for coin lovers: a 25 centavo from Nicaragua.
Cheers,

What a nice walk indeed! But a little too humid for my taste today...
TFTC and greetings from Germany!

1st of 3 on a long hot walk today. Great spot this, had to admire the views for a while as muggles were resting.

Team GuanoGerbil's 3rd Geckho find for the day. Very sneaky hide, but an easy find sniffed out straight away by OmaGosh. A hot day, but the views from here are just incredible! Amazing views all the way out the East Cape. The beach is so beautiful, I don't know why I've never been here before. Needless to say, the merry gerblings spent quite a bit of precious caching time in the water today before the long drive back home for school tomorrow.
Easy to find & the view is always great up there

We enjoyed the walk along the trail. Great views, and quite a sneaky hide. TFTC.
A rather stealthy one. Dropped off a firefly travel bug I picked up only moments before. TFTC
