A nice quick find here on a miserable winters day in Georgetown. Cache was found in the first spot I checked, dont you just love it when that happens? TFTC
Tasmania Trip Day 11. My last big day in Tasmania was the journey from Hobart to Launceston. Most of the day was highway driving, but there were two counties to visit before arriving. Even then I still had two more counties to the north and east of Launceston, and that took another three hours, which brought me back to my accommodation juts in time for a fairly late dinner for me. I then had to rearrange my car so stuff was ready for tomorrows boat trip and then it was off to mixed nights sleep with lots of noise from revelers outside the hotel. It was great to get to another bit of the coast. There were plenty of people passing by, but no one else stopped while I was looking here, mostly waiting for my gps to make up its mind which side of the area to search on.Thanks for the cache flange_1&tribe46079.16 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Space Shuttle A#186**Albida**
We had fun finding it we couldn't find it the first time but came back and found it the second time
Finally made it to our destination of George Town. But, not being locals, it took us a bit of a drunken bee dance to actually arrive at the Lookout. Then the searching began and the container was finally unearthed and SL at 12.56pm Left: vintage hat pathtag #10,589 TFTC flange_1&tribe
A nice spot to take in the view.

Bush Track and I had a joint day out caching in the area, it was enjoyable to spend the time together. We had 25 Finds, 1 DNF, and 1 we had to leave due to a Snake!
An Easy Find so much rubbish in this area.
Thanks, Grumbligrot for placing this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment

This afternoon was free to collect geocaches in the North We decided to head to George Town to collect outstanding caches in the area.
We haven’t been to this part of town before, interesting view from area. Cache quickly found, a bit more difficult to get the lid off, did eventually. TFTC

Found but didn't fill the log in. There is a hole in the container and so moisture and bugs have gotten in
out and about with 1 Lil Rafa today caching in the northern part of the state, having completed most of the caches on the Midlands Highway its a straight through trip to Launceston or beyond, good parking at GZ easy find with clues great if you have a sore throat. TFTC TNLN log dry. nice views at GZ.
Thanks for the cache Flange_1&tribe. Heading north today with RLD4963 for a weekend away at Low Head. Decided to take a few little diversions along the way to find some caches, and so headed to the Bell Bay area. Nice quick find at GZ, cache in good order.
The hint said something about logs but that me stumped as I couldn't seem to find it. So, I reread the hint and then it all made sense for some reason. Cache then easily found and signed and placed back for the next geocacher. TFTC.
On our tour around Tassie we made here a quick stop.
After a while looking we can find the cache. What a lot of rubbish around.
Thank you and greetings from Germany send Moorhelmi

On my way back from my shack I took a detour through to Low Head. This was the first cache of the day, and the only for the Bell Bay area. TFTC
Day fifteen of our holiday in Tassie. Bettyboo3747 and I are still staying at Low Head Pilot Station.
The forecast was wet, wet, wet, but more so in the afternoon (windy goes without saying!), so we jumped into the geomobile and set off for a couple of puzzles we solved last night, and a few other caches around George Town. Cached until it starting really raining, the scarpered back to the Pilot Station Cafe for lunch, then a tour of the Maritime Museum in the afternoon.
Bell Bay sounds like a seaside weekender resort, but as we discovered, this is not the case.
A nice view from the lookout all the same (of big black raining clouds fast approaching!)
Thanks, Robmc.

#14440. Day 15 of our 3 week holiday in Tasmania. Robmc and I are still staying at Low Head - such a wild and windy place today and I suspect most of the time, in fact! It is blowing like a banshee and with some heavy rain also has been rather bleak today. However, we drove back in to George Town and managed to gather up 11 caches for the morning before retreating back to the Pilot Station for lunch and a Museum Tour.
Pulled up close to GZ and soon had the cache to hand. This is obviously the area where drinkers decide to throw their empties out the window - can never understand that. We continued on, trying to beat the rain.
Thanks flange_1&tribe

We arrived in the car park to discover a camper van stopped next to where we thought GZ might be. This could be awkward! We decided to have lunch while we waited and fortunately the occupants packed up and departed before we finished eating. Then a quick search located the container and we were able to sign the log. Would recommend doing the caches in this industrial area on a Sunday when there are no trucks about.

Hi there flange_1&tribe.
We found your cache **"Bell Bays lookout"** at 11:31:00 AM today. (This brings our total find count to 18663).
Yesterday nothing seemed to go according to plan. Everything just seemed to go wrong - but today was quite different and the sky gods smiled on us. Today we decided to revisit the caches we couldn't find yesterday, and then take a "next closest" approach to find a few more, & ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes on our journey. We had an absolutely wonderful drive and our count for the day was 13 finds (& 2 DNF's).
Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places to visit on our nomadic wander around Australia.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache 1m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Nice easy cache. We are now equal with our caching competitors, The stibarkes family at 228 finds.
We now plan to fly past them

The Wench and I are visiting the top end of Tassie for a few days...
We actually drove down to the area just to see what's around the area and stumbled across this cache after driving the local roads.
Thank you, flange_1&tribe, for this cache.
#3856. Log signed at 1623Hrs.
(I often signed the log book as "W+W" to save paper/time/ink)

We didn't know there was a port here or that there was such a heavy industrial area. TFTC This is a lovely area and we're enjoying our third day's caching here. The weather is perfect though overcast. Also looking forward to the event this evening to meet and thank all the Tassie CO's who have added so much fun to our touring here.
We've now only got four weeks left of our six month stay (til the end of March '16) from the Kurrajong area, (Blue Mountains) NW of Sydney, to tour in the caravan and also visit our kids and grandkids in the Huon Valley On four previous visits before this visit, we were muggles, so we're having fun finding the caches we didn't even know were here!

A very quick find along the way today, nobody around so we could search in peace which helped. TFTC

This one has been taunting me since I was here 12 months or more ago. I came to see if the GPS in my phone was good enough for caching. It wasn't. It gave wildly fluctuating results and had me searching for "logs" within a 20 metre radius. As it wasn't a serious attempt, I held off posting a DNF. The Garmin was much better. Stable reading and put me within a metre. Thanks flange 1&tribe, out on a beautiful spring day and I have "closure"!
A busy and noisy location with many a truck rumbling by. A nice easy find by torch light.. thanks..!!
Great view even on a cold autumn afternoon
Quick find on the way to Georgetown
