Seven unanswered NM logs dating back to 2010. Zero maintenance logs posted in response. CO last online April 2015. Today we found that the entire area of bushland surrounding GZ has suffered from a bushfire recently & nothing cache-like remains amongst the blackened trees. Kookas have fled to a more pleasant playground. Time to put this one to bed perhaps.
The container for this cache needs to be replaced as it has cracked and is leaking in water. The logbook has fallen apart and is now individual damp sheets of paper as a result of this and needs to be replaced. Most of the logbook pages were unreadable unfortunately.
Nice playground cache not perfect not sealing from rain log book shambles some pages are unreadable but still some good leafs TFTC TNLN container needs upgrade
Wet Wet Wet.
Found it in may way back from South

A quick find on a very cold morning in Hobart. The ground was very wet underfoot in places and we were very glad that the very big dog looking at us at one point was safely behind his fence! The logbook was quite wet but managed to sign. TFTC
As reported in previous logs the contents of the cache, including the log, are very wet making it impossible to sign. Thanks for the cache.
After parking up on a side street and having no clue as to how to get into this bit of bush I had to walk for a bit before I found a way off the street that wasn't someone's drive! After a bit of a zig-zag walk round the back of peoples blocks I found myself at GZ and just as I was thinking 'where would it be' I spotted something and the first place I looked I was holding plastic. After waiting for the ants to disperse I opened the cache to find the whole thing soaking wet, not having a spare bag or log book with me there was nothing I could do, so i just managed to write a very wet name and date in the logbook after using many pens.
This cache is very much in need of some TLC, it was a nice find in a place I would never have known of other than caching.
Thanks for the cache.

Knight no.4 Found the cache but we were unable to sign the log as the container was full of water.
Well hidden! Took us a while, especially considering the size of the cache. First find for a visiting kid. Big smile!! TFTC
Found today in the company of the bear. Very wet ground all around due to heavy rain. Nice hide but currently in a puddle! TFTC
A lunchtime cache hunting trip with The Goose. A little drizzle was falling as we headed towards GZ. The Goose was dressed up in his work suit and tie and The Bear was already soaked from a previous search prior to the lunchtime session. The ground was sodden with a lot of surface water as we squelched our was to GZ. The Goose spied the cache and we signed the damp log. TFTC.
Having tried before and not reading right couldn't find my way in, tonight Code 1 Parked just in front of a car which very shorty decided they didn't like us and moved on. we followed a few trails in until a short bush bash found us at a cache. There was an easy path to follow out.
JABs.

Found a way in to the area and after following a few tracks we eventually arrived at GZ and located the cache. There was a bit of moisture inside the cache so might need checking.
A nice block of bushland.

Hmmmm. Watch dance championships or trundle around in the bush? Outdoors wins again with a quick and easy find. I think i hunted for this last year but didnt find or log it. TFTC
My son found it easily but the logbook is wet from someone not sealing the box properly. No kookas but hear some lovely maggies
Although the GPS pointed indicated the GZ was not far way we had to do a big circuit of house lined streets until, reaching an entrance off Olinda Drive (S 42° 55.045 E 147° 19.125) and as previous logs mentioned the contents of the container were wet. TFTC scotty&lochie
A lot of steps had to be negotiated from the university up the hill to Mount Nelson. Our aim was to pick up the caches we didn't get around to on the last visit to the area, but one had to dropped from the schedule because Peter forgot to bring his sheet of paper with calculations that were needed. The return walk was down through Lambert Gully.

The last cache on our little outing. The HotCrossDaughter was prepared for swaps, but everything was a bit damp. TNLN Thanks!
Cache container contains water, contents are "icky" (that's a technical term), and the logbook is soggy. Some attention may be needed here...
On previous visits to the area I had difficulty finding my way into this reserve, but today I worked it out.
Nice location needs new logbook and pen. Both water damaged. Took nothing, left a yoyo
Nice easy find on this lovely day while holidaying with geodaughter and partner. Log book is very wet, can just write on it!

Managed to locate after walking around in very muddy conditions - still a few joggers were out and about TFTC
A late afternoon walk to this one, nice easy find in an increasingly hard spot to access.
No sign of the kookas, they may have moved on or be hiding from the winter chill. TFTC

I had commitments next week in Hobart, So it was a quick and easy decision to head across early for sightseeing and caching long weekend.. So it was all planned.. I started at Hobart Airport early on Saturday and was loosely en route to the International Geocaching Day event (GC3RMH6) in Hobart. I later headed as far south as South Tasmania 1 (GC408). I had a blast taking in not only the caches but also the sights and sounds. My apologies to the cache owners for my very generic logs, Lots of caches were awesome, however all deserve more than this boring paragraph that I'm devoting.. I picked out lots of drive bys, however also slowed down for the odd multi or puzzle (solved in the field). Thanks to all cache owners for the wonderful caches, great locations and views and all the effort that has gone into the hides. I have taken a bunch of photos and will upload them in the coming week or so.. Back home now I'm slowly catching up on the logging.. I am looking forward to another tip back accross the straight to collect a whole lot of caches that I overlooked. Finds mostly fit into the #2800 - #2900 range.. Thanks for the cache.
good quick find, surprised on how obvious it was yet not noticeable to muggles. TFTC
No kookaburras around today, it's poring rain, found cache , Sid duties, then raised back to the car. TFTC
Easy find between backyards, seems the park is slowly shrinking. Signed the damp and almost full log, TNLN TFTC.
Got lost wandering around all those back fences but eventually found the right track! Logbook is quite damp and pretty much full. TNLN TFTC
We managed to find the park after trekking around back fences and walking along tracks. The log book is very wet and definitely needs drying out. TN but left a new bag. TFTC
Was not sure if I was on private property or not but seens a though I was so close I went for it. Only took a few minutes to make the find but not quick enough to avoid confused looking Muggle resident who just arrived.
We drove around a while trying to work out the best way to get into the reserve. It was getting to near dark so we found a suitable spot and made a dash for the cache. Thanks scotty&lochie
Loads of kookas today. Found by tony tates sister!-ms dreadpirate.
Tftc. Took marker pen left whistle

Quick easy find, had no GPS(IPad) problem, the cache itself is water logged a couple of the items in it have gone rusty, the log book is (almost dry) used some scrap paper to dry it out a bit. There are also some black ants to make it just a little more interesting.
Agree with previous finder this sight is starting to get a little boxed in by new houses, could not see an entry point from the East although the trail leads out that way but to what looks like an empty enclosed paddock, I came at it from the West about 200m along Brinsmead Rd there a walking track in between the houses.

It seems that kooka's playground is getting smaller by the day there are lots of new fences claiming the land and more in construction. GPS playing up at GZ, but used caching experience to find location of cache. TFTC!
Found cache, just like some other sex obsessed muggles who drew lewd drawings through most of the log book and composed some interesting comments regarding other teenagers in the neighbourhood. I removed most of the ghastly pages and hid the cache more effectively. Didn't find the kookaburras, too early in the season and too late in the day. Thanks Scotty&lochie.
Found with Tassie Trekkers. Hard to find how to access this area. Didn't know it was there. TFTC.
Took a wrong turn on the highway to Mt Wellington by listening to Barbie (GPS) so ended up here instead. Lots of kookas around. TNLN TFTC
After finally working out how to get into the reserve we enjoyed the walk, no Kooka's today. The contents of the cache were wet but the log is in tact and dry. Thanks
While working in Tassie for a couple of weeks, decided caching was a good way to see some of the great places.
Nice easy find, no Kooka's, but saw a couple of other flying friends. TFTC
Seegs.

No kookaburras, but birds big enough for me to hear their large wings flap as they took off. TNLNSL.
With recnt subdivison work and now home construction, access to this area is quickly becoming restricted. Thankfully today there were still gaps in fences which provided access to a quick find. TFTC
Nice walk. Hope the access will be preserved with the new builds going in. #10

Got a little put off by a barking dog (behind a fence, in a backyard), but once we got over that we had fun hunting this one out. LNTN, TFTC
Cache remains well hidden. Log is still a bit waterlogged and could be replaced by the next visitor, if you get the chance.
Nice location and once you put on your cache finding mind , you will see it like a sore thumb.

Found this today without too much trouble - 3 adults and 3 kids helped - waterlogged and exposed - sorted it out and replaced in a more discrete manner.
As the Barad Bunch pointed out (I seem to have been following them!), the cache has quite a bit of water in it.
Logged quickly and moved on.

Found by Geokid during a visit to a friends, nice to teach others about caching. Tnln
Nick and John called in to check out Kooka's - a bit damp still.

1st find for the afternoon. Nice little walk in the scrub. A quick find with little hassle - no kookas today. TNLN TFTC
Was determined to get this one even though the rain was getting heavier and the coats saturated. Must have had the wrong co-ords initially as we were looking in a built up area and wondering where the hell kookaburras would be around here. Punched them in again and yeah!!! WE WERE NOWHERE NEAR IT. Off we went and successfully found and logged it. Thanks.
found on my weekend trip to Hobart. Should have been elsewhere but that was boring
They weren't home today but the cache was.
