I didn't realise that this cache had been archived until I went to log it. It downloaded with the P.Q I ran on the 18th, and was still in place when I came to look for it this morning. Bit of a shame as its a great container, hopefully you can find somewhere else to place it. Cheers Geoff. TFTC
What a magic little dell, with very active and vocal tui. We had been planning a cache just like this in our area, so we were interested in its construction.
11.30am. Bit of work going on along the track here with two new bridges etc. A quick find here. A favourite point from us for the hide and the place.
Thank you. David and Noeline.
Thank you. David and Noeline.
A cute hide, and an easy find. Signed the log, thanks for the cache. The neighbours queried our success and made appropriate bird noises on our positive acknowledgement.
Thanks, NZWide, for the info re no need to pay admission for entry to find the geocache. I just had to go back today, zeroed in on the coordinates and then realized that I had no idea what a parataniwha was. I looked around for a bit, then luckily the lady next door came out and said, "Are you geocaching?" I admitted that I was but that I lacked vital info. She happily showed me a parataniwha in her own garden, then off I went and soon had the cache in hand. Very clever, I loved this one. Thanks from this Canadian!
I didn't go in to look for this cache as there was an admission fee sign posted on the fence and I'm not one to sneak in to places without paying. We didn't have the time to have a good look around so didn't feel the fee was worth it at this time. ;-(
This was such a fun find, a couple of muggles walked near, and I had to duck for cover. Great idea, Thankyou. I retrieved trackable CCARMD and I will find a suitable cache for him in a day or two.

What a great cache container! Made mini muggle laugh. Dropped off a coin and took the tb. Hope this doesn't get muggled again...
The dog gave us a fright, but once restrained we were successful. Bang Bang. TFTC.
New coords just came through so made cache a quick find in a very nice cache container. Thanks for replacing so quickly

Distance from original: 406.4 feet or 123.9 meters.
Due to the previous cache being stolen and that some major bridge work is going to be started at the previous location we have decided to move in a short distance away.

I have just been informed that some despicable person has removed this cache. I have another that I will replace tomorrow.
I will replace in a new location nearby in case the thief returns.
Sorry if you were looking for it in the last few days.

Hi from Tauranga... Always interesting to see where the trail leads and this one earns a favourite from us. Cache in good condition. TFTC
We were having trouble with gps signal under the trees but we found this one, awesome camo I loved it!
Very clever! and I met a neighbour and he dog who shared stories of the cache. TFTC
Enjoying a couple of days down in the 'Naki'. Awesome camo along a lovely walkway that I haven't been along for at least a year. TFTC.
Only had 5 minutes to find the cache and I was taking too long, tried a different approach and there it was.

Loved this one. Took a seat for a while before heading back to the Coastal Walkway. TFTC
I was very glad to read the cache title and even more happy to take the weight off my weary feet. A delight of a container and for Easter we can say we had pumpkin stuffed duck as we left a Halloween gc. Following the food theme: at this point we hadnt had lunch. Got to river mouth and followed board walk into town. Got lunch about 2pm so walked for 5 hours... GINO TFTC
Luv the cache Junior Bandits 2nd find of the day, had to wait for muggles to pass by but nice place to ponder and rest weary legs [:-)]
Some hungray ducks about today, managaged to catch one but let it go again as we didnt have a pot to cook it in. Wow what a laugh we had when we found this one, lucky no muggles about. what a great camo many thanks )
Someone one seat when we first passed. On our way back, spotted the nearby birdlife. A great hide and lovely tui to watch. Fantastic!! Thanks FTC!
Found @ 12:23pm with hccatcher11415
Love the cute hide! hccatcher spotted this one on approach - blends in well!
I replaced the wet ziplock bag (inside & out) with a new one. Thanks for the cache NZWide!!

[Well, this one is awesome:) The rest of story only for those who found:)]
We began to look around at GZ, trying all possible common hides. Then Lucy found a duck, so we carefuly start walking around, checking coordinates, Tom even tried to go down the bank to look for the cache under trees. Then he came back and start to examine the duck. Well, looks like a duck, but why it's not moving at all if there is so much noise around? And then... good one:)
[Thanks for this geocache, we've never seen anything like that before:)]

Loved the container - it is surprisingly well camouflaged where it is! Lots of muggles too, but got it without being spotted.

GPSr seemed to be pointing to an object surrounded by a moat (I understand there's been a bit of rain here lately!), we were reluctant to search here so after exhausting other hiding places, we decoded the hint. Darn, the moat would have to be crossed!
It was very muddy and slippery, but somehow managed to stay upright. Enjoyed the cache container- very realistic.

#2816. A surprisingly muggly spot. I was holding the hint object when I realised a muggle was fast approaching. I threw it back to Troodles who was standing behind a bush; it all probably looked very dodgy. TFTC.
After some loggers had trouble with swampy ground I made a visit today. It looks as though the council lawnmower had got stuck. Due to this I have shifted the cache a few metres and changed the clue.
Was visiting near here this morning and made a brief foray to hunt this one out. Found within seconds, although I did a bit of a double-take when I first spotted it! Nicely done cache. Signed log, TFTC.
Very cool cache cunningly disguised...did a double take when I first saw it!! The cache nearly kept my shoe as loot as there was a fair amount of mud, and it tried to suck it off my foot! Lovely walking track with lots of birdlife song...got to stand really close to a nice plump wood pigeon gorging himself on flowers! TFTC!
MrMeccano and I had to wait for muggles to pass before we ducked in to grab the cache. Nice container.
The cache though was wet and we did we could but its going do with some maintenance.

Time for a rest from biking, didn't stop to long as we had the cache in our hands fairly quickly. TFTC
One of many caches on my morning Te Henui walk, surprised by the find here. I really like this!
A pleasant surprise finding this one. Tried to look casual but told by a passerby that I was getting warm.
Hehe, my son got a bit of a fright when this cache was spotted by him!!! TFTC
What a lovely walkway, wish we had more time to explore more of it. Nice hide (had a couple of these containers but lost them)! TFTC
I somehow managed to walk past this spot without stopping while caching along the walkway earlier in the year. I returned for an orienteering event nearby so I was able to atone for my error. I loved the container.
1.45pm. This town is extremely well endowed for attractive walkways.Thought the camo was real initially but quickly got over the surprise!

Very nice clue and despite it, it took a while for us to spot the cache, considering its unique camo. Very well done. Thanks NZWide.
Loved the box. Fitted the area well. A horrible rainy day. Thanks for the cache
First time I've seen helen get a fright when spotting a cache! Nice hide, nice walk from east end. Now looking at the map o realize we walked past three caches to get here. What a shame.
Took monkey and treasure chest
Left lizard and airplane.
