TFTC Our drive up from Dorset had taken 50% longer than car sat nave estimated.
So it was lovely, after passing through local extended shopping streets to reach here ,to find comparative tranquility and some free parking in a side road .

A nice big example of a Sarsen stone proudly displayed at an entrance to this massive park .
We had left our walking sticks/measuring sticks in our car but someone before us had left a natural stick hgere that came up to my shoulder so we used that stick for our measurements and used our g.p.s mapping for the station measurement .
Email now sent and a photo will be uploaded .

I sent in my answers. I find these erratics fascinating. I have seen them in New Zealand and Australia, but none of those looked as smooth as this one. As I was lying on it trying to measure it, a couple of men walked up. I sat up quickly. One was showing his friend the local erratic. Then we all had a chat about it; with the comment from one of the locals, that they were surprised there was an erratic found locally, as they thought the glacial line was northern London. Logging with permission Very Happy Heading on a scouting mission for "O is for Overboard" and wanted to knock off the closest Earth cache to new home on the way. A straight forward little find on a very warm (for London!) day. The sign at the rock is missing but there is another just nearby with some good info it. Cheers from Australia!

On a mission today, to get six icons in a single day to qualify for the Surrey Icon Challenge. We'd tried the Wherigo but struggled with the last stage of it, so came on to this one figuring we'd go back to the Wherigo.

Answers and photo to follow imminently.

[13/28] - Out caching with Asfastasfcuk around London today. Whilst we did enjoy the caches (and it was great to meet Rodz) there was part of us that just wasn't in the right frame of mind for urban caching. Consequently it wasn't a big numbers day for us. TFTC

Spent a second wondering where the cache would be before I realised this was an Earthcache. Come on, I was with Asfastas; he doesn't do anything other than trads Wink
