Tiz13 loves her Golden oldies ...hey newbies do not leave food In caches they attract ants thankfully the ants had not found a way in yet .. did my part by removing the Carmen's muesli bar..and picking up some bottle tops on the way ..this would later be compensated by Tiz13 losing her caching gloves
Had a good look. Right on GZ, theres a perfect place for a regular box, but it wasnt there. Reckon its worth checking, but is someway off the beaten track.
Had a good look, in lots of places. No luck. I'm not to keen on horse racing anyway: David
GPS put me in the middle of open ground which confused me for a bit. Read the logs and found the cache
It was a good day to head out into the bush for a decent bushwalk to clear the cobwebs of being inside for so much of the previous few weeks. We had done this walk early in our relationship and decided to head out for a wander. We were targeting three older caches and to take some photographs of the flora and fauna of the area.We took several hours to wander around the track and saw a wide variety of birds, saw evidence of wombats, several wallabies, kangaroos and an echidna. We found all three caches we were looking for, and they were all in good condition.Thank you, bogonghazy for this Traditional cache.
Wow what a big box, good place to put in another TB here.
So it dosent gets crowded I took one TB out to tag along.....
Thanks for the cache & greetings from Switzerland

Another fantastic view point and great geocache. Well hidden although I was unaware of nearby muggles but they were obscured enough that they wouldn’t know what I was doing. Absolutely gorgeous place TFTC guys
One of the most gorgeous places to sit and admire the views across the Gorge. We stopped here and my companions had a bite to eat while I had a bit of a search. Cache was reasonably easy to locate with the help of the hint. TFTC bogonghazy, this is an awesome cache location.
I love a nice big sturdy cache. Shufflehop made the find here, the lid was very stiff , so it took a while to get inside and sign the log. We got there in the end though.
echidnas are a dime a dozen
every bushwalk seems to feature some yellow-black spines rustling around in the leaf litter
a few days back, on a stroll through a park near us, we saw five
some walkers we passed yelled back at us from fifty metres down the track to alert us “echidna! echidna!”. we waved in acknowledgement and walked on
but
here we found another classic aussie critter rarely sighted so close up
the koala
judging from notes in the logbook, this fella holds that eucalypt as his regular haunt but nevertheless we were still happy to see him
and
based off his echoing grunts
he was happy to see us too

Out with the CO for an amazing circuit of the gorge that included several rockclimbing maneuvers to try to keep our feet dry with the river so high. A great cache in a great area, thanks Phil
Nearly didn't find this one, its been a long day already and we're ready to call it a day on caching and just head home. Had to come see the view though, and so glad we did! Got the cache while we're here.
Tftc!

TFTC on a hike with take shape slight detour to find the cache first one in a while
We’ve had a lovely little four day holiday in West Melbourne, finding caches and visiting as many vegan restaurants as we possibly can. The whole trip was planned because we’ve never been to Werribee Gorge or Lerderderg and they both looked like they offered fun bushwalking with plenty of caching opportunities.
The camo was out in the open so we tucked it away a bit better. Thanks so much

A group of us did the Werribee Gorge Circuit today. I had been here before, but there were more people around here today than I had ever seen before. All enjoying being out of Covid-19 lockdown on a long weekend, I suppose. Anyway, while the rest of the party were admiring the views, I went hunting, and was pleased to find the decent sized cache. Left a TB which I had been saving for weeks.
A quick find as the afternoon goes on making my way around Werribee gorge. My body seems to have adjusted to the 20kg pack I have on and is no longer complaining as I put one foot in front of the other. Good training for a big hiking week to come. Tftc
After abit of searching I've come up with the goods. Horray!! Thanks for the cache once again!
After a nice couple of days in Ballarat the geowife and I decided we should stop and do some caching on he way home. Geowife picked the spot and off we went. Planning only to do about 2 hours of caching we finally emerged back at the top car park 5 and a half hours later. It was such a fantastic day and the gorge was absolutely beautiful we thought why not just keep going and in enjoy it. TFTC
This cache was accidentally found by muggles the day before. They left a message on the log saying that they wished us all the love and happiness in life.

Today I headed out with the geokids to tackle some more of this trail. I dragged along some newbie cachers today too which was awesome. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed our stroll part way in before turning around and heading back out. Such stunning views! Some fabulous caches too! An easy find here and we stopped for lunch and admired the views. Thanks so much for the cache.
Went off track from Ponder at the Pool to get this one. However would not recommend to anyone if your not an experienced walker.
Love a large cache in the bush and this one did not disappoint. Great view.
Picked up TB.

Feet sore, mouth dry- but after a short gallop and fossick about cache was in hand. Very wary of snakes today. Tftc.
A second cache today to show some relatives what a regular cache size looks like. Everything in good condition here. TFTC
Found with Exportswede. Great hide, easily spotted if you're looking for the usual clues. A couple of muggles nearby but oblivious. TFTC!
Very cool cache, and a nice spot to hide it too. Parkermon and I managed to get it behind the back of two completely oblivious muggles bopping some tunes.
TFTC, will be back here again for sure

Needed to stretch the legs so Werribee Gorge was a good option with 17 caches all turned into smileys.
It was a busy location here today so i grabbed a bite to eat and waited out the muggles. Great to see an ammo can at a busy location.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache bogonghazy

TFTC. We did the circuit walk and had a great morning. Dropped another TB into this cache to entice others to visit.

After leaving the gang which consisted of McLookers, The Tritonz, Gmj3191, Leafotwind at the multicache Lionhead Beach I then continued further into Werribee gorge and continued on the loop back to the car.
It was certainly a great walk around the area with lots to see and explore.
Continuing on to this viewing spot, I said hello to a couple of muggles, had a look at the view, they headed off and I headed over to GZ and was able to make a quick find.
**Thanks to bogonghazy for placing this cache.**

Tftcnice container. Found this one on a hike with my geohubbie, great idea with the sunblock in:-) I needed a new set of lungs by the time I got to this one.lol got a bit of flu. But great day to get out.
Lovely, breezy spot. I took the trackable and left some....floss. Happy flossing!

My second visit to Werribee Gorge and this time to tackle the long circuit walk with perfect weather and plenty of caches scattered around ready to be found. Unfortunately I was supervising a group of school students on a training hike for an overseas trip so I only had limited opportunities to slip away to look for some of the caches on the circuit while others I had to stare forlornly at as we walked past. Oh well, another trip will have to be organised purely for caching this time! Stunning views around this trail from the various vantage points and a really enjoyable walk.
My GPS had me a little bit out for this one but I figured there were only a few logical spots to hide a cache this size at GZ and I spotted it in one of them. Thanks for the cache bogonghazy.

Visited this magnificent area today and moved in an anticlockwise direction finding caches along the way. I arrived at GZ and began searching. My GPS was unsettled so it took quite a few minutes to find the cache, mainly in part to the hint. Was great to see an ammo can out here. I believe the only one in the gorge?? Maybe I am wrong. In any event, signed log and replaced as found, especially ensuring natural camouflage fully surrounded the container. Spent some time enjoying the view! Stunning scenery. TFTC bogonghazy
A full day of hiking and caching with Team Justice. This was our 14th find for the day, and a nice big cache with lots of loot. It was here where we stopped for lunch and Martin had the bright idea of trekking due north down the hill, in order to the climb the "short way" up the next hill for a couple of extra caches. I will forever fondly recall this cache as the calm before my torment. TFTC
A hike with half of Clint&Abby. We quickly found this cache, nice and big. The travel bug "Weather bug" was certainly not in the cache. We sat here for a bit while having lunch before descending down to get more caches. Lovely spot. TFTC.

Loved the views from this cache and we are having a terrific day in the gorge today. TFTC
Found on a lovely walk with family. Really enjoyed the scenery, the hike and the very creative caches. Cache in good condition, thanks!
Having been here before and done most of the caches up top, this was the last one for me for a little while. Found without much trouble and nice to see a large one too - not too hard to carry in I hope.
The day after folk returned to work after an Australia Day weekend, I decided to use my extra day to explore the Gorge Circuit. Having done a walk to the Island earlier this year, it was time for main course.
Surprisingly spectacular! Sheer cliffs, meandering paths, wallabies and kangaroos, rapids and gentle billabongs - what's not to like?
A nice steady climb to reach this point , enjoying the effort. And a good sized cache to find. All dry inside and a great view outside.
Thanks and cheers!
