To escape the scorching heat this long weekend, the family and I have decided to head down to Port Victoria for the coasts and coolness (just kidding its also going to be unbearably hot here too). But when we head to new places, of course we have to head to new geocaches too. Theres nothing better than caching and catching the coastal spectacles (okay well maybe thats not all true, but its still undeniably cool). This is the sixteenth of many for the Port Victoria hunt. Took a minute but relatively easy find. May this geocache be blessed with the vernal breeze of the waters abound! TFTC! #88
A quick find here today, cache is all good
Today I headed out with earthlight and LíB to the yorke peninsula to complete the new seahorse letterbox series, some of the caches were signed with our names or LEG, first headed headed to the event in gawler before making our way over for the series, before detouring back via some unfound caches in the northern half. A total of 116 caches for the day.
Thanks for the cache

Amazing. As I stepped put of the car 3 beautiful huge pelicans flew over me with a hunch of seagulls. Excellent timing. Found cache easily and a favourite point from me for the well timed pelican show
We spent the morning caching around Port Victoria before heading into the well recommended local pub for lunch. Unfortunately the chef was having a sicky so we headed to another recommended pub….the Yorke Valley in Maitland and were not disappointed with our meals.
Caching in beautiful Port Victoria on a glorious, calm, sunny day was very enjoyable. We had to leave the traditional cache opposite the pub for another day as a caravan was parked there with the owners enjoying their lunch looking at the great views.
No pelicans here in the morning but we did see a few further round the bay. Would have loved to stay for the afternoon show.
Many thanks for the hide Rocky Glen Grommets

Found it after a bit of searching. Replaced container as it disintegrated when we picked it up.
Looked for this 3 times in June 2020 and could not find it. Back on the peninsula so gave it another go. Happy to turn a blue face into a yellow at last. Container needs replacing as cracked and brittle.
Thanks

Found while walking the Yorke from Balgowan to Port Victoria.

Found it! Took me a while, then wandered around a bit more... couldn’t see for looking! In credibly well preserved 13 year old logbook
How incredible that this cache has been there for over 12 years and there were still 4 or 5 pelicans hanging out!
Found with The X-Trailers heading to Moonta

So many caches, so little time! This is one of a variety of caches we were able to find before making our way to Port Wakefield, the first overnight stop on our journey home. No pelicans today, luckily we have some near home.
Thanks to 'Rocky Glen Grommets' for the hunt and cache placement

Out for the day picking up a few stray caches with LLL51. [^]
Came down to Port Vic as there were some newer caches that LLL51 had not found and some older ones that I had not found. This was one of them. [^]

Over from the Barossa for our annual Australia Day geocaching weekend. Today we were out scouting for a location for our annual anniversary cache placement....this was a quick find before continuing up the track....TFTC
Day 3, camped at Minlaton, and took a drive to Curramulka & Port Victoria.
We picked up a good variety of caches, some a little trickier to find than others.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Rocky Glen Grommets, for us and others to find.

Quick find with helpful clue. Plenty of Pelicans but not carrying anything to feed them. Nice secluded bay. Sad to miss the travel bug by a couple of days.
5037 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1420 . There were 4 pelicans at home today. SL took TB Tnx Rocky Glen Grommets.

Had decided to leave a TB at this cache so imagine how I felt when there was someone parked almost on top of it having lunch. OK! We can do that too! Luckily Pa and I were having a very relaxed day touring and exploring Port Victoria using caching as a guide. So we grabbed out our lunch too! He took much longer than us so Pa and I were starting to get a little frustrated as this was #13 of 15 caches for the day. Eventually he headed off and we moved in for the grab. Boy was I surprised when I opened the cache and found another TB. So I dropped one and grabbed one. TFTC RGG SL
TNF! Partner fraser and i and my youngest brother found! Even got crafty having to dodge the muggles! Fun find.

with Limbage on a very windy day of caching around Balgowan , Pt Victoria , Maitland and Arthurton . Dropped off a TB ... ( Moochinabout Oz ) ..thanks for the hide .
A small day trip down the western side of the Yorke Peninsula with KarpyKarpyson. Today we collected 21 before the storm hit and drove us home. We were searching for this one for a while but retrieved it eventually thanks to KK's thinking. No pelicans today but I remember them from when I used to live here. TFTC
Found as a part of TheKellyGang, writing this as a genaric log as I was a part of TheKellyGang and am now out on my own.

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring Australia after having attended Oz Mega.
Today we toured from Maitland to Port Vincent then up and around Pearce Point to Chinamans Well then up to The Gap all in company with iluvtrekking.
What a majestic coastline we thoroughly enjoyed the places that Geocaching took us to today. We took way too many photos and will have to cull some! We had the warmest day we have had for a week with the temperature getting to 20degrees! [^] We started the day with gloves and 2 jumpers but ended it in shirt sleeves.
Thanks for placing a cache to help us explore this area. [^]
No Pelicans here at 11am but we did see 2 near the boat ramp.
