Logs
Cache is well and truly gone and in need of archive. Was last found in April 2015 and since that time has recorded x9 DNF and x3 maintenance logs. I personally found this cache in October 2014, have again visited site in December 2016... I'ts gone, time for archived.
This need to be checked by someone who as found it before or by whoever placed it as a lot has changed since it was placed.
This cache may need to be checked as it has had not had a "find" in a very long time.
Over in Tassie for a short "post stocktake" break, I decided to cache my way up to Beauty Point to indulge in some touristy animal watching and cache my way back to my motel. Fourteenth cache stop of the day. GPS was jumping around for a while but when it finally settled there was no cache to be found.
There's been a lot of recent DNF's with this cache. Could the CO please check and confirm that the cache is still in place,
Staying over night here we had plenty of time to look for this cache.
Reading the notes we knew not to 'trust' the gpsr entirely and looked on the other side in fact we looked on both sides but no luck here for us.

Our first cache today on our "Tour de West Tamar" and a DNF. Oh no. Not a good start. We had a muggle free attempt at this but no luck.
I'm a bit late in logging this - but here goes...had a walk with the dogs and a friend looking for the caches along the path between Gravelly Beach and Paper Beach. The walk was great but we left it too late and it was starting to get dark so we headed to the park cache, but could see virtually nothing. We'll be back!
Quickly found this cache, the GPS took me straight to it for an easy find.

We have returned from Canada to discover a few more Australian caches! What a great way to explore the Land Down Under" ...
Cache was well hidden so it took a bit of poking around before we found it. Glad we didn't have to leave the track. Under the container was a nest of the largest ants we have ever seen. Didn't seem to be biting ones so all is good!
Thanks for the fun flange_1&tribe!

GPS does not like trees/too many broken branches to search with children and the stench of a rotting corpse nearby so not found today.
Searched for a little while.
Surrounding area seemed quite messy and broken. Possibly blown away with recent weather. Or maybe I'm just not searching hard enough.
Will definitely look again when I have more time next month

Big tree came down in the big blow nearby but cache still safe & sound. We were treated to an exhibition of feudal swordplay or some such (complete with helmets, shields & medieval dress) at the park. We wondered why we worry about trying to look inconspicuous & "non-dorky" doing our caching stuff when others seem to revel in doing exactly the opposite.
Didnt have to look hard for this one, was sitting out in the open so tried ny best to hide it...
Easy find when GPS settled. TFTC. Angus88 the great GeoWestie assisted by grey nomad Carer Lis Brown enroute from Bundaberg Qld to Perth WA via all of Tasmania. Love, love, love Tassie.
Woohoo! Our 1st find in Tasmania. We planned to take a totally differentroute but ended up due to some mechanical problems with the motorhome which they are going to fix tomorrow so we had to find a place to camp overnight and guess what? A geocache in the nearby park. Cache was easily found after reading previous logs. Left a smiley and signed the log. TFTC flange_1&tribe.
Gotchya! Found on our annual family bbq! A great day if you can withstand the windstorms!!
Australia day weekend, no find all day!! Have been suffering from cache blindness lately, so thats probably why.
After getting slashed up by the thorns we resorted to looking at the photos and realised we were on the wrong side of the path. Lined up the photos and after a little search discovered the cache. SL #1223 TFTC
Tried to find a GA moveable whilst here. .. but managed to find thie an easier hide. TFTC
Found with Ranger-Aus on opposite side of path that GPS was indicating. Beautiful sunny day but early so few muggles to be seen. TFTC.
Found the cache container completely exposed. Covered with available ground cover and a couple of sticks. Hope it stays hidden. TFTC
Me and Bluegolfball couldn't find it looks like the council has had a bit of a clean up here maybe a inspection is needed
Unfortunately we were not clever enough to find this one.

This was our 11th cache find in the caching run & we found it at 11:44
So this now makes our total find count 5853.
[blue]
Found the cache easily enough, it was partially uncovered. Signed the log and covered it completely.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Average (6 metres)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Horse
Thanks flange_1&tribe for the hunt today.

Mr and Mrs Seek3rs are over in Tasmania on holidaying from SA ...
Another day of caching ... this time on the way over to the west Tamar side ...
Was frustrated here ... which side of the path???
Surely we don't have to go trampling in the garden beds?
Looked where we thought we thought it would be .... but one on the DNF list ....

Quick easy find while enjoying a pit stop with GeoMax. Plenty of ants around. TFTC
Day 7 of our escape from the NT trip, seeking some relief from the tropical build up
Years ago on our first trip here, we camped in our campervan just around the corner from here.
Took a little bit to find this but eventually found it

I finally located this one after several failed attempts. Midweek and there was noone around so I could really investigate thew location. The camouflage was just a bit too good for me before. TFTC
2nd go at this one it has been a pain in my butt for awhile but today i defeated it today and the cache was in handand the coards were spot on today. T.F.T.C
Finally got this one. No need to fight the blackberries this time. Have plenty scares from previous attempts. TFTC
tricky hide this one lots of muggles walking past when i got to gz but waited them out while texting on my phone. found and signed log just before some scooter riding muggles came round the courner T.F.T.C
BGF spotted this one... The coordinates were good, so not as hard as it initially looked. Log was a bit damp but that's to be expected given the hide. tftc.
Just pure luck. One of the kids saw it. Easier location than you would be expecting. No blackberry bashing involved. Do have scratches from previuos cache hunt though!
Thanks for the cache very happy to find it. Did not do swaps.

While Geodad and Geokid A played, Geokid R and I went searching. Almost had given up but one last sweep on the area had it in our hands. TFTC.
Out and about In Tassie for a few weeks on holidays collecting caches. Didn't come to be attacked by blackberry bushes so after a fruitless look and some scratches we decided to leave this not worth the injuries.
Found @ 1.40 pm
Nice quick drive by with no Muggles about

Went and had a good look, decided the blackberries weren't my idea of a good time and gave up.
All 8 of us had what we thought was a good look! Lol! Lots of blackberry thorns! Will try again soon
Having arrived on the Spirit we had decided to head East towards Launceston and then Scottsdale caching as we went. The GPS pointedto a spot full of blackberries - not something we wanted to tackle.
This spot is the location of an annual family get together, and for the last 2 years a group of about 8 us have searched for this cache and dnf'd it (and I know there was no log - I usually don't have access online while away and each year I have got home and discovered others have found it since so felt so dumb for not finding that we don't admit to the search). Anyway this year there was only geoboy and me but we had another look (even though this was feeling like our nemesis cache). I did not have the gps so looked from memory - and was blown away to actually find it. In a place I could swear I have searched before. Thanks for the hunt, I think
My GPS was pointing me towards an area overgrown with blackberries. No thanks!
Camping overnight and this was around the corner. Another DNF though. Blackberry bushes do not make for good geocaching!
Unfortunately it was a DNF today, we searched the area that the GPS indicated and then turned to the surrounding area but no cache was discovered.
Yet another DNF for today. We had a good look while trying to avoid the ants in this location, but couldn't see an obvious hiding spot and soon got sick of passing muggles so we gave it away.
Yep, chalk up another DNF for today, but you have days like that.
Thanks anyway.
Thanks anyway.
Today's caching adventure took me on these most scenic drives, firstly north along the east coast, then south down the west coast of the Tamar. What a lovely drive, beautiful day, beautiful scenery, gardens in full bloom, a wonderful afternoon - and no DNFs!
Couldn't find this one last time here, but this time ignored the GPS and looked in the obvious spots and found it easily. So satisfying to find what previously wasn't. Thanks for the hunt flange 1&tribe.

Found after a bit of searching. GPS wanted us to look right in the blackberries on the water side, but ignored and looked roadside. Blackberries will soon be taking over this side as well. TFTC.
Nice spot to stop off and let the kids have a play. Quick find once the GPS locked on.
GPS wobbled around a bit but when it calmed down, took us straight to GZ. Overall it was a great hide in nice location. TNLN TFTC
Hi Flange and Tribe
It had been that long since I've been here that I can't remeber. Yes, I'm that old!! Mum and Dad along with my Uncle and Aunt visted some of their relatives here when I was knee high to a grass hopper; so thanks for bringing me here again after so many years.
The cache tricked me a little at first but soon got the GPS to settle down and realised where it was hidden.
Just about to extract and along came a flea bag and its owner, decoy tactics. She passed by.
About to extract again and a biker out for his daily trundle thought he'd inconvenience me. A day of this so far with the two caches to date.
Extraction done and log signed at 1338hrs.
Will be back here soon to try out the local golf course with some mates soon.
Yes, I have a few mates; not many but a few.
Cheers and TFTC; OldSaint.
