As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Surprised this one loaded in our PQ as it now looks disabled...?
but we happened to be cruising by when this cache popped up so had a quick look, but then read the disabled log while sitting on the bench.
Meanwhile, we spotted a Korora swimming ashore for the night. ( LOL, it wasn't RussellSchool )
So disappointed not to be able t find & log the cache as a favourite, but TFTC anyway

This cache is clearly missing, but it appears CO is no longer an active geocacher as they have not logged in since September. May be time to free this spot up for another cache!
I noticed that this cache has been in need of owner maintenance for an extended period of time well in excess of the period of "a few weeks" as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the archive listing link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) and then repair the cache within the next 30 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication/action.

Was passing yesterday, definitely appears to be gone. Been out of action for a month needs attention.
Tried looking for it even though marked as "Needs Maintenance", but we were unable to find it.
Passing by last night. Spotted a fellow cacher. Cache has been damaged. Gave cacher a tb to release in the south island.
Found with the help of RussellSchool who just happened to be passing GZ whilst I was there. Great to meet you guys and hope the rest of the trip went well. Cache damaged unfortunately....will log the find anyway. Cheers and TFTC!!
Arrived in Wellington this morning on Radiance of the seas. Found this cache on a walk around the city. Great hide. Took some patience and skill to get cache in hand due to the high muggle count.

Found while on a visit from Oamaru for the All Whites Vs Mexico. Beautiful day in Wellington. Made the grab as a host of supporters passed by singing and dancing their way to the stadium, the perfect distraction. I quickly joined them for a great game of football, too bad about the score line. (NZ 2-Mexico 4)
TFTC.
TFTC.
Decided to find a few extra caches while in the area. This one looked quite appealing. Went to GZ and located it after a quick search. Great views from the search area. Thanks for the cache.
Easy find. Needs some maintenance but not urgently. The log book is now a stack of receipts
At 8.55pm. Doing a little caching for my last night in Wellington. Nice size cache. Tftc
Found originally as part of rebel98 team, now created own account, re-logging as rustynz
See rebel98 log below. Loved this cache how it was located in such a high muggle area. Its been a lovely visit so far to Wellington, exploring the waterfront. Thanks again for the hide.

Clever hide, a busy place for us today as its our leaving point for Matiu/Somes Island and Days Bay. Had to walk past the tall ships to get here, who have sailed from Auckland (STS Young Endeavour and STS Lord Nelson). Tonight we will be watching the fireworks display nearby with the rest of Wellington! A great place to be
Fine Day For Me And Geojack To Go For A Walk Gave Up On Wednesday And Succeeded Today Lots Of People Going On The Ferry To A Destination As This Time Was A High Muggle Time! TFTC!
Not many people about today, except the family sitting where we wanted to search. We waited them out then went in to search, only to find it wasn't there. We moved along a bit further and there it was. SL TFTC. Log book full, left a piece of paper to sign on.
I have tried for this one countless times, all without success- but today, my GPS decided to play fairly and tok me to the proper area. We checked the first seat... Nope. Second seat... Nope. Finally, after the East by West ferry left, we got it on the third seat. TFTC
#253 It was one of those Wellington days. Blowing a gale - so much so I got a bit wet in the sea spray. No muggles mind
On our trip down to Wellington before heading back north for the NZ MEGA we decided to come down to Wellington's wharf area first up today. My, finding a park around here was pretty difficult. I left geohubby in the car where he was warned off by a parking officer while I went off to find the cache. I was gone a little while because the other seats near GZ were unoccupied but someone was eating their lunch at the one I wanted to investigate, lol. Isn't that always the way! I admired the water, watched a ferry come in, watched the seagulls, looked at the water, checked the quantity of the sandwich that was left, looked at the seagulls some more, at the water again, - only a few bites left. Wandered slightly this way, wandered slightly that way, - only one or two bites left. Hung around at the edge of the water and looked like I was trying to spot fish down there. Now, he's screwing up his sandwich paper, checking his phone - and now.............YES! He stood up! He's leaving! I sauntered over and sat down! Yep! There's a cache there alright!! YES!! Phew! I signed the log and very carefully replaced the container. Two of the clip locks are broken and the lid is being held by the last two clip locks only, and they are on adjoining sides, so this cache will need a check up. Thanks for the cache bjtrekker. We really enjoyed our visit to this lovely wharf walk area today. TFTC! [^][^]
We were meeting friends in the restaurant behind the cache so it was the perfect spot for our last cache of the day. Well the wife said it was cold and windy and they might be waiting already ... so I sit down quick and reach for the cache. One quick pull, the lid comes off and the extensive contents clatter onto the pavement , don't do this in the middle of the day. A new lid could be a good idea as one more break would make the cache unusable. The contents were all dry so I signed the log and scooped up the swag before anyone noticed. Retired to Wagamama where a good night was had by all.
Oops it seems that when I posted the earlier log I didn't in fact log the TB drop correctly. It may still there but if someone else has picked it up since you will now be able to log it out!

Found that one on our tour through NZ while staying at Wellington. It's a really good place here to relax with a nice view over the harbour. And a cache not very hard to find, even with muggles around. TFTC!

Dropped off a TB. Swapped the coffee card with a Paddy the Wanderer key ring. For obvious reasons the key ring was originally going to be put in Paddy's cache but as a coffeeholic I couldn't resist the card and didn't have anything else to swap. Doubtful I could have got into Paddy's cache anyway with all the

Tells me something when I can't find 750ml container. Must have been looking in the wrong place. Doh!
TB Drop.
Also could use a new snaplock bag for the log book, the current one has come apart. All still dry though.

Spending the day in Wellington from Auckland. This was our last find for the day. Wasn't too hard to retrieve as muggles more interested in getting home out of the rain. Nice to find a large container in the city. TFTC
Had to wait quite a while for a ferry to depart and then muggles kept appearing at that annoying frequency to allow the search. TFTC
Lots of interesting things in this one. And still quite a busy spot at 11pm on a Saturday night.
Trying to find a cache a day this month to collect all the geocaching souvenirs. So far, I've found one every day, and today this was the cache to find. A quick easy find with no one around on a drizzly Monday morning. Grabbed the lone TB in the cache and headed across the street to donate blood. TFTC.
Enjoyed the view on a blustery evening waiting for the right moment between muggles. Ziplock bag holding log in need of replacing. TFTC.
Great location! And the people sitting there were really nice to make way for my search. Thank you NZ folk, you are really nice people.
Nice cache found it on a school trip to Te Papa. Ethnz is a cool teacher making us stop for geocaches on the way. I found it out of a class of 24
Calm sea, no wind, blue sky, located cache and after signing log put it back. Noticed another person looking 'not lost but looking for a cache". It was Wahine who had noticed me shifting on the seat while admiring the view. TFTC SL
People sitting and standing all over the place but not at GZ so I was able to sit and wait for the appropriate moment then retrieve.. Love the harbour. TFTC
Quick find at GZ!
Cache is not in good shape, some parts are missing but everything is alright.
Thanks for the cache!
Greetings from France!

Was in Wellington on business for a three days, this being my last day. I had finished my meetings for this trip earlier this morning, and had a couple of hours before needing to head to the airport to head home to Melbourne. I had time for a quick nap and then grab a quick cache or two near the hotel. So, I passed out on my hotel room bed for a while. When I came to, I had about an hour free, so I believed I would have more than enough time to grab a couple of caches. I tried a nearby cache first, and I was totally muggled out….. I'll save that one for next week at a different time ! So I went for this one. I only had my iPhone with me with offline caches stored, so the iPhone wasn't that good around here. It was wavering around 25m off into the ocean, 15m back on land, all over the place. So I read the hint, and that helped a little, but as my iPhone was so all over the place it could of been one of a few places, And there were muggles in all of the wrong (or maybe right !) places…. I was about to give up when the iPhone settled down totally, and had me within 3m. Ok so it must be this one. I sat as instructed and went for it. Got my finger tips to it, but the fastenings were a bit too strong for me. So I repositioned myself and gave it a proper yank. And I had it in hand. Openly signed the log (it could do with another proper logbook and baggy btw). And make a quick replace. When I looked up I noticed that the ferry captain was looking straight at me, but didn't seem concerned by my behaviour. Thanks for the cache.
Quiet morning on the waterfront. White Ribbon lapel pin in, iceage domino piece out. TFTC//
sweet spot but had to wait for a ferry load of muggles to leave. thanks bjtrekker!
Our fourth and final for Wellington. Took tb and left a new one from Indiana. Unfortunately , I also left myy mini ipad. Maybe someone will find more than my tb

A cold and windy evening, after having found Paddy the Wanderer, I sat down by the harbour and found this one.
@ approx 5.30pm
2657
I was up in Welly for the day for work, bur work had booked me a late flight back... we finished at 5pm, and our flight was at 7.45pm.
So once we finished, I dragged one of the other girls from work with me Haha. I'd already dragged her around Welly with me once before caching in Feb... so she knew what it was all about now.
We walked further along the water front after visiting the cake tin. Here the GPS was not much help. But we did a bit of pretending to pull things out of our work hand bags and all. I mean who would suspect two well dressed looking working ladies of doing something weird??
And besides, most people were busy trying to get home after work, so weren't too cared about what we were doing. We got it eventually after switching where we were sitting a few times!!
Dropped off a TB.
TFTC!!

We'd come into Wellington to supervise a bunch of Scouts who were having a go at the skating rink nearby so while they found their way back to the train station we had a look in the rain for this cache. Easy find. TFTC
Ava and her grandparents (harrowang) were out walking along the Docks at night when this cache popped up on the GPS. Ava was quick to locate this one and sat on the convenient seat to check out the contents. SL swapped a couple of things and returned to its hiding place. We are all visiting from Australia. TFTC bjtrekker #112
Our last cache for the evening whilst wandering Wellington CBD by night with Ava from Beavar. Ava was quick to spot this one and was soon examining the contents and making her choices. SL at 6.40 pm Took: 20 cent piece & blue stone Left: wallaby An interesting walk along the docks, looking at the different types of boats in the dark. We are visiting from Australia and some members of our party have gone to the AFL match between St Kilda and the SydneySwans at the Westpac Stadium. #1511
104th find for The Great Scouts Australia Geocaching Competition 2013. Found with sunhalo, TFTC bjtrekker.
Visiting Wellington off Radiance of the Seas. Found quickly despite many local and other passengers exploring he waterfront. TFTC SL. cloudglider
Last cache of the day and dark- not used to being out after dark yet caching in the dark. Fortunately this was probably easier to do than in full sunshine. People couldn't see you so easily and the cache scene was illuminated- pity you couldn't sit down, unless you wanted a wet bottom. Cache very neatly tucked away.
Dealing with a dot day in a convincing way.
Cache find straightforward and all in order; log signed and safely re-hidden, just as found. A muggle free experience as well.

tftc I had much trouble avoiding the muggles but after the ferry came it cleared out a bit. I left a travel coin and took another.
