Great spot - I was ever hopeful that this would be here. Fingers crossed that in time it could be reborn nearby.
Quick stop in central CHCH, on our way to Dunedin today. 2/3 DNFs this morning not much luck at the moment! I see we're not the only ones, unfortunately. Was looking forward to dropping the May Flowers Geocoin in the Garden City...

Tried to find it again tonight after going to Sweeney Todd. No luck again however while we were searching we did notice a fire in Victoria square and got ring 111! Fun times! I look forward to searching for this cache again and finding what more adventures await me!
After searching all over the bridge, under the bridge (to about 3m under the bridge), Searched all four corners, Didn't find it... Was an indian festival on, Think it could of potentially been muggled...
Tried to find it during the Indian festable of lights! Added challenge of security had to give up the search when security noticed us poking around!
just adding my didn't find. watch there though. maybe the watch is victorias secret. is there a prize if we can read the time on it?
Not this time... even with a big lean. Saw a watch at the bottom of the very clear water tho! TFTC Felix!
had to come back and do this one
the first time some muggles were having a picnic near GZ
but got it easily the second time

I replaced this one myself but I am pretty sure I know where the original one was meant to be so figure that I will log this one as a find
Hi there Dooman,
Just saw your post saying you were going to place a new one soon,
Thought that I would let you know that I placed a new one for you haha as I wasnt sure when you would be able to get to it. not sure exactly where you had intended this cache to be but after looking around I settled on the only logical place. made the container black as per your original desription of it and made it maganitized so it would stay stuck where it is.
Hope this is all ok,
Thanks

Didnt find this one, not sure if it has gone missing due to the earthquake but from reading privious log it appears it has been missing for some time and that the cache owner isnt going to do anything about that.
Not really sure where this cache was to start with but I am pretty sure its rather obvious
So I plan on placing a new one for this cache in the place my gps took me to for other to enjoy, so try again in a week or so, Will post once I have done so

Hi team, very very sorry for this cache not being there. In early May I moved out of the area. Back in Chch this week.
Iv got a new container for it and will be put back very soon.

No luck for me either. Gave up after a short search once i saw recent log history
2010/06/13 16:42 NZST. Couldn't find it. Didn't want to get too close to the water either. Too cold to get wet today.
If the cache is not there can it be temporarily disabled so finders will know not to go looking for it
10 DNFs in a row ... can it be archived or replaced to avoid it showing up on searches and avoiding a wild goose chase
There were 5 of us but we still didnt have any luck We had a pretty good look but gave up because of all the previous DNFs. I think its time to either check on this or archieve it. Thanks
We looked around for quite a while and no luck. We even attracted the looks of some muggles! Might want to check if the cache is still around??
Had a good look around, with a little help from two friends. No luck. Back to Canada.
No luck finding. Saw 2 other cachers with GPS looking during the afternoon too but they seemed to walkaway without a find either
Drove us crackers looking fo rthis one but no luck. Thank god the animals in the gnd entertaind the kiddies while we looked.
Found this while visiting your beautiful country. It was too bad someone knocked over the Elephant. I am going to be out of town for the Flower Festival but went back several times until I finally found this one. I luckily got there late at night the night before all the animals and decorations blocked one from searching the area. TFTC
Jumped off our tram trip to do this one - lots of muggles but we were stealthy. TFTC Took Cashers best Friend Tick Tag or "Zagg" to continue it on its mission. TFTC 68
Very nice spot, I like the whole city!
Dropped a TB from Switzerland just before leaving NZ back to Europe.

Made an attempt at this cache today, but it had gotten dark and I was afraid of falling into the water so I gave up rather quickly...
Our second cache of the day and another DNF. I'm sure we were at the correct place but just couldn't see it. Took photo of the location for verification.
Nice location. I really enjoyed the fountains in the square and have lots of pictures to prove it. I took Glamour girl and after we are done having fun I will drop her into a cache far way from New Zealand. Yes, I am a tourist from the United States!
Easy find right on dusk. No pen, so I left 50c coin as evidence of my presence, plus Glam Girl TB. She's spent enough time in NZ. Take her overseas, tourists.
Found this one while out exploring the town. We are on holiday from Alaska and decided to do a little caching. Thanks for bringing us to this nice square. Loved all the fountains and statues.
found on a huge day of caching with about 10 teen agers. they were getting an introdutuion to walking long distance and finding hidden treasures. once found they all had turns at signing the log book . there were a couple of kids from overseas. we were in Christchurch for the St John international youth festival, held in and around chch in cluding Hanmer springs

The spot seemed obvious, muggles were busy watching the buskers except the gondola muggle telling me not to jump.
Bernhard managed to retrieve this one just as the boat was passing underneath and we heard the guy say "don't jump".
A tricky one to retrieve! Lots of muggles - this only contributes to the challenge! TFTC
hehe... I like the bear! it was fun trying to find during buskers festival... eel!
What a mission! Had been to this site a few times before, but always was super muggled, in fact one day I arrived there to find a bagpipe convention filling up the whole area with them! A bit quieter(!) today, but had to wait 5-10 minutes for a clear return. Picked up an unofficial travelling coin and placed in GC10APW later today. Thanks
GPS couldn't pin point the exact location so it took a bit of looking under the bridge at several points. Took whistle, left 'Don the Cricket Bear'.
On the second attempt more muggles but also more luck. Luckily Smido has got longer arms than me, so we accomplished this cache in teamwork.
Great find had to be a bit sneaky with this one though( plenty of what do you call the others) muggles thanks.
Managed to stay dry here. Cool site. Couldn't really rely too much on the GPS's inbuilt compass though! Left a couple of tags. Thanks for the cache.
Yippy our 300th And on **Christmas Day** Passing through the city,we decided to see if we could find it as we had no log to read. But muggles everywhere. We had to wait while Tourists were taking photos of themselves and the Punting Man.After they wanderd off,W T went looking and found it by shear good luck. But a young couple were watching us over the railing as we couldnt lurk about much longer,he put it back. But they looked a bit worried.Thats when we met Sam & Susan from Scotland. They had just arrived in ChCh so we told them what we were doing.Thank goodness he had heard about Geocaching. She thought we might have been going to blow up the bridge[LOL]So after a long chat we bid them goodbye and scarped home, happy with our effort. We will always remember Victoria's Secret and the Scottish couple will keep it a secret as well.TFTC.
I got wet and not only the feet, but it was to flat to drown!
Be carefull with that one!

Definitely needed the kids with me for this one to provide the cover. Picked a nice quiet Sunday afternoon too. TFTC.
I homed in on GZ a few weeks ago, but decided to return when the muggle to cacher ratio was reduced. Returned today with my son to do the balancing act. TFTC
Found with dad, he made me do the tricky bit. Having long legs it was not a problem. A couple of Paradise Ducks may have seen me put it back, but I guess we can trust them to keep quiet about it. TFTC
Finally! Spent many, many, many weekday lunchtimes scoping out this one but always high muggle factor. Today was unusually quiet and found quickly. TFTC.
Early evening find when few muggles. Nice spot. Greetings from Northern Ireland.

Unfortunately the two mentioned trackables are not in the cache! I placed a coin here.
Dipped some trackables for mileage. Thanks for the cache in this lovely park.
Second attempt, many muggles around, have to be very surreptitious. Clever hide, TFTC.
Found easily although we were unsure of which side to look on first, and of course, looked on the wrong side first. TFTC. Left GeOlympics geocoin (or Die "Ich war dabei Coin"). Lovely, lovely park. thanks for bringing us here.
Found while visiting New Zealand. What a marvelous park. Very happy to have been brought to this place to look for this cache. Found and Left: Australia Northern Territory Geocoin. Hope it moves on soon. Took: Canada keyring. Dipped some trackables for mileage. Thanks.

On tour from UK. Good one this, right by our hotel. Retrieved in evening when muggles had all gone home! TFTC
Had done our caching for the day and we stumbled across the park and the cache nearby.. Tried all corners before I listened to the fairy half who told me exactly where the cache was.. A bit of a leap of faith, but good fun.. Thanks for the cache...
Had a wander through town last night! found it! got a few strange looks though! haha!
Our first cache in Christchurch, right in front of the hotel, impossible to ignore it… Cache was found easily. TN, Left souvenir from Canada, discovered TB. SL. TFTC, beautiful park.

My first NZ cache! A bit challenging to retrieve after some recent rain, but I managed to do so whilst still remaining dry and unnoticed.
A lovely setting, with the bonus of being only two minutes walk from where I was staying

Caching with Luvbassn, OHSilky, and Mommacakers from the Star Princess. We loved the downtown, such a walkable city. TFTC
