This one still has not been checked or found since our last visit last year.
The owner obviously does not cache any more so this one should be archived to let someone else have a go at hiding a cache.

Had a look but couldn't find this one. Since this was last found in December last year, maybe it need to be checked.
Had a good look over but no joy. There are just too many hiding spots and I don't like feeling for caches in case I feel a redback
Any better clues?

I didn't read other logs when got to this one. My GPS and map clearly pointed 20 m ahead of the bridge where I just got dirty :/. Had no time to return there later .

A quick visit to Ballarat for a commitment and we find we have a bit of spare time.
For us this cache was one of those almost give up efforts – we were trying too hard. Then P-Phetlern had it in his hand. Great location as far as vehicle muggles go and only one cyclist – actually asked if we were waiting for the steam train – of course we were!

Took a little searching - kids had given up - had to talk about trains as muggles walked by(!) - had a train race by underneath - one more look - found it!! TFTC
Nice clever hide on this structure.
Took a little while but it was worth the effort.

Incredibly frustrating considering it is so obvious and open, looked 4 times during the night and returned early in the morning and after about 15 mins had it in my hand

After attending the 10Year event last weekend it was back to Ballarat first of all to crack my 1000th cache and then to add to my tally accompanied by tackle_head who only knows one speed while caching and that is flat chat.
This was an easy find but surprised to find cache just sitting there but returned in the intended way. Thanks .
Found while on a caching day with Bushfire to clean up Ballarat after last week end - tftc
This was my last cache of the day and was found in the company of Alansee & Acts2YG. We had been here before but on that occosain the wind and rain were howling through so we only had a quick look. Today the GPSr was pointing to a completely different spot and the cache was soon in hand
Thanks flyjabiru1 & GoeGirls for the cache

Having once before had great difficulty finding a cache on a pedestrian bridge over the railway here in Ballarat, I had doubts about whether I should try for this one, especially as the light was quickly fading.
Luckily, the GPS put me in the right spot, and the cache was found quite quickly. Thanks for the cache.

This was the last cache of 45 for the day, the cache was found in the company of Alansee and Team Crackers. A nice old bridge and my lack of fear for spiders made for easy searching and a nice quick find was had not by me but by Diane of Team Crackers. My thanks to flyjabiru1 & GoeGirls for the cache.

Out with my Geosons and heading home from the Event in Ballarat and we decided to get a few more caches.
A quick find and a photo to follow as a train went past whilst signing the log.

Just as we located the cache we were lucky enough to have a train pass under us. Unfortunately 2 year old geoboy who was strapped into his stroller did not like it at all, infact he was terrified by the sound, hopefully he won't be too traumatised that he loses his love for Thomas the tank engine! Thanks for the cache.
Is it smart to be searching for a cache while standing on a metal bridge in the middle of a thunderstorm, with lightning around? Probably not...

Off to The Rat to have Christmas lunch with the relos. Followed by an afternoon of caching. This was a quick and easy find. We don't think the lone chap sitting by the side of the tracks even noticed us with his back to our direction.
well we walked round and round and round but found it in the end... didnt sign the log coz still havent got a working pen in the car... grrr

It took me a little longer than I thought it would take to find this one. Did have a VFT pass under me but unlike previous finders, he didn't pop the whistle.

Had to go to Ballarat as I was showing one of the furr-kids at the Ag show on Sat. Came down a day earlier so we could do a spot of caching.
I didn't realise that this cache was within walking distance from the place that we were staying! I would have gone for a walk earlier if I had known, instead of waiting for the bf to wake up.
Found quite easily.
With my big baby hand writing it was hard for me to find a spot on the log to sign. Still a few small spots left, but log will need replacing soon.

My second (third?) go at this but the last time was in the dark, which needless to say makes it harder!
This time it was a quick find in a neatly-done hide. Thanks flyjabiru and Geogirls.

the train driver was one sick individual
For that split moment I forgot I was totally safe and thought I was standing on the level below
Thats as close as I ever want to be to the front of a train!. Maybe it was karma cause I laughed at Mr Cheesy Pigs for being scared of the cute cows.
One things for sure... if ever I am required to run away from something I must remember that the legs need to make a forward movement

After an earlier cache where we were walking along train lines Redtag got a bit spooked by this cache. The cache was in hand fairly quickly. As Redtag signed the log I saw a train approaching us (we were on the bridge over the lines) I said train but she didn't hear me, so engrossed she was in logging the find. As the train moved under us the driver blew his whistle and Redtag screamed and tried to run away but was actually only running on the spot. Because I laughed I got kicked.
Thanks flyjabiru1 this was a good cache and very amusing.

Well we had to look interested in the trains for about 5 minutes today. Knowing where the cache was made it very annoying that so many muggles wanted to walk past here while we were here.

I had no idea what the clue meant until I needed to sign the log. My goefollowers made it hard for me. Glad I didnt drop it. I could have been cleaned up a few minutes later.

More pretend train-spotting helped us here, although I reckon the muggle factor was substantially dampened by the rain today. Nice hide. Thanks for the bridge and the cache.
My second find. A great cache, and it was fantastic when the train went speeding by, slightly wobbling the bridge.

A great view from the bridge of twin rail tracks heading off straight into the distance. The rain kept the muggles away so three of us were happy cachers despite the weather. Thanks for encouraging us to stop at this great, spotflyjabiru1 & GoeGirls.
We were worried we would have to look on the road bridge before we spied the newer pedestrian one. I didn't think I would be able to make the road bridge wobble at all. An quick find with no-one about. SL TFTC 17 of 20 for the day.
Took us and JadedOptimist08 quite a while to find this one. It turned out to be not as cunning as we thought it was, though, and JO08 found it a spot we must've passed over three times! Thankfully we didn't stray onto the tracks - those trains have got some speed about them (nearly caused Mr O to have a small 'accident' when it passed underneath!) TFTC.
In town today with a few spare minutes and grabbed this cache. Had to dodge one little old lady in a buggy but, apart from that, I had the place to myself. A neat little hide. I had a fair idea as to where I thought it should be but even though it was, it still took a bit of searching to actually pinpoint it. Many thanks Flyjabiru and GeoGirls.
Wow,, cache 41 for my cvgt3 weekend in ballarat.
Found at 1553hrs,, put log in a new bag as old one could not function as a bag anymore!!
P.S sorry for the delay in typing these up my laptop has been dodgy lately.

Loved it !! Any cache that combines my love of old bridges and railways, and tops it off with such a clever little hide, gets my vote.
Seeing all the well-known cacher names that had recently signed on the log sheet for this one was my first inkling that there was an event that I hadn't read about...

Found at 9.35am GAFF5 in the company of Rabbitto. It was drizzling and still quite cold, but when we got out of the car all was forgotten and the hunt was on. Not many muggles around at this time of the morning, so the cache was found quite quickly. No trains in sight either.

A good place for a cache this one, slightly scarey if you do not like heights (me) and a sneaky cache to find as well. Found OK, signed log and off to the next one. Thanks Flyjabiru & the Girls for the cache.
One of the things I love about visiting Ballarat is the rich collection of great old buildings and structures such as this. I thought night would be an ideal time to tackle some of the caches around town and this was on my list. I strolled along fearing how long it may take me but good coordinates had me right on top of it, so to speak. I fear the magnets may not be strong enough, let's wait and see though.
I loved the old bridge though, thanks for showing me.
