It seems there is still life in the old chips.
Will hunt down a new container and replace it soon.

Uh oh. I think the GPSr has said goodbye. I checked the obvious, then the less obvious, then ended up the tree. All to no avail. A quick call to Echo and he suggested the first place I checked should have had the cache but there was nothing home. This one is likely MIA.
Nice easy find on our Berwick blitz day.
Started today on a new search area with Trailertrash78 and Hazey1 and Geokiddies in the GeoKombi.

Phew!! That was close... I nearly got locked in the park for the night. I had just found the log and signed it when I noticed the security guard doing his rounds and locking the gates, so I had to very quickly put the cache back in it's hiding spot and scamper out of there. As I picked up pace down the hill towards the gate the guard saw me and turned around to unlock the gate so I could get out. Hahaha... He said that the park was closed and I said that's why I'm trying to get out.
I liked the cache container... what an original idea

Joint find with Saulman1010, Trailertrash78 and geokids on our Berwick caching adventure; nice easy find. TFTC, TNLN SL
Was a bit of a walk getting here with hi pressure from the car. We had some issues walking to this one as it was drizzling and we were trying to find a fast track there. Found the cache quite easily to my amazement. It was i who managed to figure out how to open the cache. Had a muggle walk along near the GZ, however with me and hi pressure being the stealthy people we are, we went about signing the log and replacing the cache and getting away unnoticed.

While EB99 struggled with a local multiple, I decided to grab this one after a nearby meeting finished. So in honour of the cache , I ditched the gpsr and used the phone ( I know it's only a technical difference). A brief walk, a restful pause to take on the stunning views and then I grabbed the cache. Hmm how to open it? Soon sorted that and signed the log. Took TB to move on. Thanks for the cache and bringing me here.

Thanks for the find, was a good one! Funny how the info makes much more sense after you find what you're looking for...!

Man what a view. Who knew? TNLN TFTC Quick find after muggles left general area.
Thanks for the cache, very clever. This was our first time Geocaching and the 2nd cache we found for the day. Was good exercise pushing a pram up the hill!
Had a bit of time before heading back home so a nice walk in a beautiful park. Very appropiate hide, recycling ewaste. Left TB to continue its timewarp journey. TFTC
walked up the hill, one ranger man had stopped and asked me anything he want to help me as he noticed me take the cache when he saw me use gspr, he knew it's geocaching then said have a nice day. I love this cache.. TFTC
I had a nice walk up and no problems finding the cache. Love the views up here!

On my way here, before I made a wrong turn, I noticed GZ was inside Wilson Botanic. This was before I had read the cache, lucky thing.
One small person tried out Callisthenics today, whilst Mum stayed & watched, so we were down to 2 only. My small charge decided the hills were a bit much and, surely, I had chosen the wrong route to get there.
In return, we spent the next 1 hour+ at the playground.

Third find for the day, after a change of plans and change of direction (thankfully I had this programmed in the trusty Garmin)
I enjoyed a great walk, most of which was in the rain and on the wrong path.
A fantastic cache container!!
I think I've found a venue in need of an event cache.

Found today after a trip to Ray's - great park and walks but Mrs E wasn't too keen on the sign about snakes making this park their home - we found the gz fairly quickly - with Miss E putting her hand on the cache first - what a great idea for recycling and gaining carbon credits! - Well done and thanks for the hide. TNLN. Elmer.
I went up there yesterday ( it's only 400m from my home ), found it and put a new pen inside it.
I thought the title referred to the distance and directions on the nearby plaque, but then I found the cache . I picked the right time of day to visit as the sun was shinging and the birds were chirping nearby.
Many thanks,

Found it with little trouble and a friend. Unfortunately the pen has walked and so I couldn't leave my mark. Was most puzzled by the object inside...

Nice easy find in a park that I've visited several times for caching, but never this far back. Thanks for bringing me back, and for the cache.
#9 of 12 for the day. We had just finished another nearby cache and had to find this one before we left. M had a lucky find on the way to the cache. We took a wrong turn and ended up at the lake. Decided to continue and approach the cache from the other side, so M began to run up a very grassy hill. I quickly reminded him that there are snakes in this park and that the long grass is not the best place to be. He immediately stopped and looked down at the ground only to find a Swiss Army Multi tool laying in the grass. Not a cheap one, this was a good quality stainless steel version. We are going hiking in a few weeks and this was on the to get list. We can now cross this one off that list. M was so happy he had played with every attachment twice over by the time we had got to the cache. TFTC. KeMS
2260. Well after all it was a Magellan.
We almost drove into the park without realising we were't allowed. Five seconds later a bloke came and locked the gate so that was probably very lucky. We weren't able to see too much today due to the fairly heavy rain. Of course it started to pour as we replaced the cache.

Found it with Cami. It was her first Geocaching experience. My first hunt with my new Nokia n95 Mobile with Geocache Navigator on it. We had to wait a long time for people to move from the area. We compared a GPS device about 10 years old and the inbuilt GPS we use today. Very interesting. Thanks for the cache!
Found by edmil & maddie. This was our first cache of the day and we were treated to a pleasant, though cool, walk to get this one. It was a quick and easy fid however we had to sit and admire the view and let a few walkers meander by before we returned the cache to it's hidey hole. No swaps were made.
It was about 11:00 am when we managed to log this cache. We reckon that it must have been about the same time as all the dog walkers managed to get out of bed because we met heaps on the way back. One young lady said good morning then followed with it is still morning isn't it.
Thanks for the cache and the nice walk.

A nice park this one and have been here before for a bbq and cache.Made the trek to some great views at gz and made the quick find.TFTC.
Found by Mary & David at 1230. We've been to this park a few times over the years, and love an excuse to return. This was an unexplored part of the grounds for us, and we were lucky enough to find a nearby back gate open, so our walk was short. Our first GPSr was a Magellan Meridian Platinum, which survives as a backup. We bought an eXplorist 600 next, but it's joystick eventually broke. Now we're using a Garmin Colorado 300. Our thanks once more to Echo & Spice.
This is such a big park, I had no idea. Didn't linger to enjoy it, as there was not a soul around and I was on my own. No need to worry about muggles - you wouldn't think it was the school holidays. I liked the cache container. Took the two geocoins nestling in there to move along. Thanks for showing me this park which I will revisit on a warmer day. TFTC.

Used the back gate as per TOM TOM's instructions. Great walk up to GZ and beyond. Have lived in the area for nearly 20 years and only my 2nd visit to this park ;-( Thanks for getting me in here again, didn't relise how big the park is !
Cache was found very quickly using the clue, muggles seemed to arrive from every direction whilst logging the find but seemed to very friendly and not to concerned about what I was doing. Made hand sign's and prayers to other dear departed GPS's before replacing cache.
Left 2 Coins that I picked up in Cairns 6 months ago but had not found the right cache to leave them in [ apoigies to coin owners for taking so long to move them on ] Rainbow trout and Yellow jeep racer.

Found at 2.50pm GAFF1. Using the more modern eXplorist 600 the cache was found with a distance showing of just 1 metre! Have been here a few times before, but not seen the park from this vantage point and with the clear skies and the smoke of the fire in the north it was a magnificent view.
Thanks Echo & Spice - the weird looking weevils were disturbed around the cache.

We found our 11th Echo and Spice cache at 12:25pm as the 2nd of 18 on our Mini Gippsland Tour Afternoon. We have done 4 other caches in the Wilson Botanical Garden over the years (but the last was almost 1,900 cache finds ago and unfortunately only one remains) so I pulled up at the usual parking place. At the egging on of both the other passengers and Samantha the TomTom, I pulled out and drove around just on the remote chance that there was a back entrance to the park. They all won as there was. This one was everything that I loved in a cache. Something different, a bit of humour and a cool view. Thanks for the cache from D,H & H B-A
My first visit to this park. After completing the nearby Sing Along cache, I decided to venture in further to find this one. I had to laugh when I saw the container - nice work! The rubber o-ring on the lid flew off upon opening, but luckily I managed to find it. SL at 11:45am. Thanks again Echo & Spice for the cache, I enjoyed the visit. Regards, 38degsouth.
A very touching memorial and eloquent eulogy.

I was back again in this impressive park yet again in search of caches. We had Sing a long cache on the go too but this one involved a longer walk so we did it first.
Nice vantage point out here and a cache container the like of I have not seen before used this way.
Great idea.

CrackerGirl decided that it was time to work of the Christmas cheer and also to break in her new helmet and this cache was deemed an appropriate distance from home. She headed off early today in a bid to beat the heat and the snakes that have known to be seen basking in this park. She has spent a lot of time in this park so she knew exactly what path to take and the cache was in hand quickly, the log signed and the geocoin retrieved and the cache replaced, She took a minute to take in the nice view from GZ before finishing the circuit and heading home.
Took the geocoin, left nothing
Thanks Echo and Spice for bringing me back to this great park and also for the innovative container.

This was a rather nice cache - I've been to these gardens before, but the Chookie cache near here had disappeared and I hadn't visited this end before and didn't realize the views were so spectacular (who would have thought - Berwick always seemed so flat to me!). Anyway, after making my way to the back entrance it wasn't a long walk to GZ and I ducked in to retrieve the cache. I'd meant to check out my geocoin (which is recorded as being in here) but, while I was doing my log, a moped rider puttered up to the lookout point and stopped and I didn't want to draw any attention (he couldn't see me) so I carefully (and quietly) reassembled the container and replaced it just as he headed off - and I forgot about the coin.

Found @ 20:05 with davroy while out on an evening of caching. We got to the rear gate right on the avertised closing time. it was only a couple of hundred metres away so decided to go for it. Found the very unique container, filled in the log and started back. Just as we headed of the security guard drive around the lower road to shut the gate. We up'd the pace and lucky for us he saw us and waited to let us out.

Found at 1130 hrs.
2TF behind Mr Coffee who found it at 7:02 am. Hmmm must have a friend here!
Anyway we were at the local shops when we decided to collect this cache as it was nearby. Got to near GZ, parked the car and grabbed the GPS............. Oh-oh... where's the GPS, why sitting on the kitchen table, that's where. So with a memory of GE last night and a bit of geosense we found and logged the cache. Cache container seemed a bit to good to consign to the scrap heap, and as we had never had a Magellan before, it took a little time to get the thing apart. However next time Echo, please do not put a cache right on Mr Coffee's doorstep, it is too much temptation for him..

I too thought about having a go at this one last night but I also knew about 2 things in this aprk which would make it too hard to seek. One was security and the other copperheads.
This park is patrolled like no other and a torch light would have drawn attention within 15 seconds of it being turned on, however it was deterrent no2 that make more sense. There are at least 4 living nearby.
This morning I was lying in and decided it was a nice morning for a stroll so with coffee and GPS I enjoyed a great walk and a clear morning of caching.
As most Berwick caches last on average 10 minutes before they are found it was FTF found at 7.02am, to keep the averages in check. So thank you to Ech and Spice for placing a cache nice and close to home.

Was passing through nearby after doing some caches with SweetNSweet when we saw this one on email, but rather late. We got VERY close to the cache from a back entrance, and were contemplating whether to "Gatecrash" the FTF
But, we decided it might be just a little too controversial, and didn't want any backlash, so we decided to leave it.
Oh well. Mr had a sore back anyway...
Good luck!
