It is with much regret that we decide to archive this cache.
As this is one of my first placed caches, it has been exciting seeing all the different teams find it over the years.
However, the area that it was in has changed dramatically over the last 5 years, and its no longer a suitable and nice area in our opinion.
We have taken the decision to leave power pole #42 in place Wink

There are bigger an better things to come...

Don't forget to bring a towel!
And most of all,
DONT PANIC

Found on a night cache run to Geelong with Storchburp and Fergzter. A nice quick find with a suspicious muggle wondering what three guys where doing at this hour of the night. TFTC.

28-Apr-13
Third find of the night on a caching trip to Geelong with LionJRB and Storchburp. We had a very interesting exchange with a muggle walking his dogs here. He though we were up to no good and asked what we were doing. We explained what geocaching was and he thought it was pretty cool. Cool enough that he tagged along to find the next cache about 800m walk away. More details in the next log Smile Thanks Team PacketStorm.

28-Apr-13
While logging this cache, Fergzster, lionjrb were followed by a muggle and his two lovely collies who were suspicious over what three men were doing leaping out of a car at night in a lonely spot. He was friendly and receptive to the idea of geocaching and accompanied us to the next cache. TFTC

We didn't panic and we know where our towels are so this only took a short search. The geokids came in very handy for providing a reasons to be stopped on the side of the path when a couple of muggles passed by.

Dropped off Travel Slug - maybe it can find out the question.

Thanks for all the fish Team PacketStorm Wink

13-Jan-13
Dropped past this cache today to check that all was in order.
Safe to say that everything is all good, the bushes have grown quite a bit, there is a easy caching trail in however.

These caches are all good to go!

Have fun!

07 January 2013 18:11:00

I've been meaning to stop here for awhile but have always passed here.

Today was a good day for it.

Stopped the car close by and took the geomutt for a walk.

Soon we were at GZ.

It was like Bourke St for about 5min with fitness muggles back and forward.

Then I pounced and signed.

No TB unfortunately.

TFTC Smile

Beautiful morning for a walk, so the furry cacher and I headed back up to the trail, and set our sights on this cache as our goal. Found the cache, and the Meaning of Life (if only I'd known sooner! Smile) without any problem @ 10:23. In a touch of serendipidity, retrieved the cache and had moved off to a more secure location to sign, when a bunch of muggles appeared. Waited for them to be out of sight, returned cache and was just turning back for home, when another lot of muggles rocked up. Who has that much luck? Maybe it's the luck you get when it's Pickled Ginger's birthday! Big Grin Cache all good, although no sign of trackable. Log somehow a tiny bit damp (no idea how), but no real issue with signing or anything. Signed log, left mini Stormtrooper as company for the smurf, returned cache. Thanks for bringing us out again, Team PacketStorm. Cheers!

cache was found in the shelter away from the wind and rain

18-Aug-12
Having read The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy series when I was young, the Meaning of Life is well and truly etched in my mind. The cache was found while on a trip to Geelong with abl973. We went for a shirt wander on a cold Saturday morning and soon found the hide. There was not a muggle to be seen on the path today. Thanks for the cache.

18/08/12 10:16 AM Find #1201 Its back out with Square Pegs towards Geelong to pick up a few caches and explore some areas we've never been to. We've had all sorts of weather with rain, cold wind and some welcome sunshine to help us along. I know what the meaning of life is Wink We had a bit of mission as to where was the best place to park the car but after that was sorted we soon had the cache and I dropped off a travel bug I recently found in NSW to continue its journey around Australia, see ya Logan. Thanks PacketStorm.

11-Aug-12
I've had fun hunting for and finding this cache, It never ceases to amaze me how the CO in the first instance comes up with the idea for placing a cache at this location. After signing the log and then replacing the cache, another find becons me. Thanks Team PacketStorm for the cache.

A big sigh of relief finding this cache. Had tried some night caching and bombed out on the previous three with poor weather. Searched in the most obvious spot but Team PacketStorm is sneakier than that. Had a browse around and was about to give in to the incessant rain when we saw something that matched the clue. Soon had the cache in hand and another one of the series done. TFTC

Second attempt at this one. Tried a year or so back, with no luck. Nice to be able to finally cross this one off. I remember when this area was all open paddocks, amazing to see what it's become, and the Ring Road as well. Thanks to Team PacketStorm for the cache. TNLNSL.

16-May-12
Finally was able to get out and do some caching this evening, left work in Geelong whilst there was still the dregs of daylight about and headed for the long way home, this was the first cache attempted. Parked as sort of recommended in Rollins Rd and wandered over to GZ. Found the meaning of life reference very quickly (I did fail though as I didn't have my towel) and then spent a few minutes hunting before the cache was found. Thanks heaps to Team PatcketStorm for this one.

#272 for the juc_cachers, found today at around 15:15 by juc_jr#2

On our way home from KICFest at the nearby school, juc_jr#2 and I were travelling without the girls, so we decided a quick stop to grab this one would be the go.

We duly pulled up and made the walk. juc_jr#2, acting as decoy did what any kid would do and from that vantage point, made the find. A minor injury resulted, but nothing that won't heal up.

There was nothing in the cache except the log book, no trace of any trackable.

our first vic cache for this trip, we parked on the freeway and mr r legged it through the scub ! lol thanx for the stop

29-Feb-12
I was hoping to add this one to the tally for my Leap Day caching run that ended up including 3 traditionals, a multi (including my first use of a chirp !) and a puzzle cache.

I arrived at GZ and spent a few minutes looking, but without my cover (juc_jr#2), there were too many muggles today to really give it a go.

I will be back, with appropriate cover !

On way to have lunch at the Sphynx Hotel with friends for Australia Day & decided to stop off to see if we could find this one. Easy find with patience due to avoiding muggles on bikes and one walking her dog!! Wink TFTC Team PacketStorm.

I had met up with good mates (Justin and Joe) C@H and kellyhaunts earlier in the day for lunch and to re-live the second half of Woodlands 100 power trail (this time by bike).. Once the riding was over, we wanted to keep caching. Covert was has some great new software which compiles a list of unfound caches once cacher names are entered. The software works very well and we soon had a list of likely suspects, Down in the Geelong area.

This was one of them and we found just under 30 down this way for the night. The evening was mild and we had a great time. We stopped at a pub for a counter meal and a cider before dropping a munzee and continuing on.. Thanks for the cache and one of about 45 for the day (for me) and one of 129 for C@H and Kellyhaunts after they found 99 in the morning on pushbike, (and 1 did not find) thanks for the cache.

We passed close to this spot earlier in the day in company with Ian and Penny, after lunch we were now on the right side of the ring to approach GZ! Having parked very safely and a brief time in the rain the cache was soon in hand - good spotting by Ian! Can't specifically recall but suspect this cache might be missing some prerequisites.

TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt PacketStorm4.

11th find of the day, and 2963rd total find at 12:18.

We had intended to start the Ring Road caches here, but due to a quirk of GPS navigation ended up doing some of the others first.

It's good to see there haven't been any "Pangalactic Gargleblasters" consumed here - although there were some Bourbon cans nearby.

Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Thanks PacketStorm4 for the cache

I had a go at this one last year with no success,
but this time in the company of 6Hinemoa2 it was a win.
We brought along a spare logbook and bag but found they were not needed as it was perfectly dry. Thanks for the challenge Packetstorm4, and i believe the Babel fish implant helped immensely this time round. Smile

Bogonghazy quickly filled me in on the story behind the cache as we walked to GZ dodging the cars. I will have to read this book! It seems I am missing out on something.
Eventually found the cache and signed the log book.

Having read the series, I knew what and where I should be looking.
However, due to jumpy satellites that had me going in circles, had no luck in locating this one.
Got the number off the lamp-post, and worked from there, to no avail
My thanks anyway to Packetstorm64 for bringing me here.
Maybe I should have looked for a note from the dolphins, "So long, and thanks for the cache"

08-Sep-10
We found ourselves a parking spot and worked our way to gz where we had the cache in hand quite quickly once the GPSr settled. It looks like we are going to have to read the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy again as the meaning of life eluded us here
Thanks again PacketStorm4 for the cache

Left- Travel Ingot (It wants to go to Tasmania)]
