TFTC JENPETEH, The H,s , South Africans living in Australia GeoCaching our way around the globe and loving it Bit of a scramble down the hill, think it would be really hard from the beach side.
Description is a bit misleading scrubby scramble and dont follow the needle and has caused a fair amount of erosion people scrambling around - my son included.I suggest changing the text to advise people that it is safe to access the cache but areas nearby are very steep and to be careful.
Today we are staying in Franklin and having a day out in the Huon Valley. We also visited Willie Smiths for lunch which was epic. Really enjoyed our visit of the other side of the river visiting some lovely spots and beaches. Not sure what the point of this one is, not really a sensible place for a cache in my opinion. Not a fun find. TFTC
Out today on a drive with a client, looking for a few caches. The approach to this one was a bit hairy, but not as bad as some others I've tackled! Quick find at GZ. The log book was pretty soggy, but I managed to sign it. Which is something wakeupsleepy hasn't actually done, when I checked back through the log book TFTC
Approached from above and found a nice animal track to follow. I can see how others have struggled coming in from the beach side but from the road it isn't too bad really. TFTC!Cheers,The Hancock Clan
There is no way in hell that this cache will be found accidentally
Spiderwebs, bum scuffs, and bush bash to find this one. I loved it!
I had to tip water out of the container and write in a damp log. I've secured the log book as well as I can in the ziplock bag.

Thanks Mr Akubra for the scramble to this one - well out of my ability. Not a very safe climb due to erosion
Great cache pencil broke so scratched it in sorry for bad handwriting but great spot for it.
Another day down south to grab some more unfound hides in the Cygnet / Petcheys Bay area.
A perfect day today TGIF the 2nd of December 2022 was chosen instead of the warm and sunny Saturday the 3rd. 28oC+ days can feel more something like 35oC in the direct sun here. {A 25oC Tassie day is like a 30oC Mainland day i was once told ha ha } The sun here is a Stinger! so Friday the 2nd was chosen.
Parked the GeoMobile safely nearby and made my way down to this one in a beautiful area which already had a fisherman parked further down casting a line
A quick find and sign at 07:22.
The cache and contents are in A1 condition.

I spend a lot of time in Cygnet but have never been on the Cygnet Coast Road, past Lymington, so to be taken to Drip Beach was really lovely. Thank you!
Found the cache, and replaced the zip log bag as the one that was there was torn. The log is wet but still useable.
Took the little guy in the photo and left a Lego lady.

out and about caching because it was just a wonderful day, Too good to be inside. some nice views in this area, Lil Rafa and her dogs came along for the ride and found some beaches and d-o-g - p-a-r-k-s. sorry we have to spell these words because they know what they mean!. TFTC TNLN log dry. a nice drive down to the water, and two beaches we were spoilt, I found a few stumps that could have had the cache but it was not there so I moved to the Third one and there it was!. a dramatic backdrop to the beach where the dogs were having fun.
Thanks for the cache Team Bubble Tea.
I was in the area with the two GeoGSP's today and was keen to see if we could find this cache.
We parked at the end of the road, and walked back along the beach towards the cache (so that the doggoes could have a run and I could have a leg stretch.
Once we were sort of below the cache we then spotted a potential 'track' and made our way up the bank. It was a bit of scramble, as described, but we made it to GZ and found the cache.

Had to do a pickup from a party down this way so came a little earlier for some twilight/starlight/torchlight caching to while away a little time.
There were a couple of vehicles and tents down closer to the beach, so I choose to tackle this one from the road very close to GZ.
Following a careful torchlit walk down the slippy slope, I was soon at GZ, and the cache was quickly found.
The logbook was a little damp, and I drained a bit of water from the cache container before replacing it in its hidey hole.
Thanks for the adventure.
Cheers, EPs.

Picking up a few outstanding caches in the area including this one. Nice quiet area. Certainly was a scramble from parking spot to gz , it had been raining and was quite slippy as well. Navigated down slowly, happy to locate and sign log. TFTC
In the Cygnet area today so thought we would get a few caches. Parked up on the road down and made a scramble down the hill. Nice little area to explore, after a few minutes searching, we had the cache in hand. TFTC
Sent dad down to get this one and we found a tracking geo..will place it at a later date tftc
Came to Drip Beach for a snorkel and picnic, while spending a bit of time in the area camping. Beautiful spot. Strolled along the beach to look for the cache - and ended up doing a bit of a scramble up the hill. Located the cache, and walked back along the road. Thanks Team Bubble Tea. Left TB.
What a cool beach this is.
Totally worthy of a geocache.
And what a climb/scramble to gz.
Dragging some muggle mates, potentially converting one, this was a great cache to show them the joys of geocaching and discover a secret place mostly only locals know about topped with a good vertical bushbash for a hidden gz.
A tiger snake even entering the hide didn't deter one member to jimmy it free for us to sign.
Thanks team bubble tea for choosing to place a cache here twelve odd years ago!
An easy favourite !!

Way more tomb raider than I anticipated. Beautiful spot. Thanks for bringing us here.
This beach was an old haunt of our friend in the good old days.
Thank goodness he was with us today as he and RoadieR did the scramble up the bank to locate the cache!
Thanks Team Bubble Tea.

I woke this morning keen to avoid the madness of Cygnet during the folk festival so leapt at the suggestion of a visit to the beach. I had no idea which beach or where it would be but I was very pleased to see its beauty upon arrival as well as the super clear crisp water. I was doubly pleased to see that a geocache was also nearby.
Following a swim in the frigid but invigorating swim (to wash away all my sins) I enjoyed the short stroll along the waters edge admiring the views but also all the cute agate pebbles piled up everywhere.
At the beaches end I realised I needed to clamber to get to GZ so was happy to find the ropes in place to assist with the trickier bit. From above I soon realised my phone had been left below so I just stalked about using my geosenses.... oooh now thats a pretty popular type of spot for a cache in the scrub.. and what do you know? cache found
All is well with the cache, dry inside, though the logbook baggy will need replacing at some stage if any future searchers read this. I dropped a Hippo travel bug that has traversed several states with me and needs to make a new friend. enjoy this peaceful and delightfully serene beach.
Cheers go to team bubble tea for placing this cache here, this truly is a magical patch of planet earth.

Tassie Trip Day 71 - Today we returned to our treck around the country to see what we could find around the channel island country with a start at gordon and continuing around to Hounville before returning to snug.
After making our way to the parking area we soon too the the time to make our way to GZ and after making the GZ the cache was found and the log signed.
Thanks Team Bubble Tea for showing us the area and making it a place to both see the sights and cache.

Too many muggles on the beach so approached GZ from the road. Very steep but got there without injury.

Didn't find the safest path with a 3 & 5yo but the loved the rim of the gully. Thanks
Out and about today looking for a possible FTF nearby but we couldn't possible go past this one without a visit. We stopped before the car parking area to check out GZ but with a muggle coming up the road with 2 dogs we decided to go to the car parking area and then along the water way where the tide was low enough for us not to get wet. However Lady membsec did get very muddy heading up towards GZ. Hence I decided to let male membsec do all the work for this one as he decided to continue up to the road and meet me at the car.
Interesting area, and thanks for bringing us to an area we haven't been before.

Lovely little quiet beach out of the way and a really interesting hiding spot. Found this one while on holiday here visiting Lekker_Ding . Thanks Team Bubble Tea
Got to within about 10 mtrs. Too difficult to climb with a crook knee. But in the words of Arnie "I'll be back".
Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
Moving day today from Gordon to Geeveston.
Managed to stop in Cygnet and drop the Caravan whilst finding a few caches along the way.

Team Bubble Tea the tide was a little too high for a beach walk so parked the car just above the cache and clambered down to the cache.

out last of 3 caches heading around the Cygnet Coast Road. We parked at the beach and headed along it, having to time the 'waves' to get around an overhanging tree. As we got closer we realized that out approach may have not been the best option. We used an interesting rope contraption to climb up the bank, then up a mound, down a gully etc and made it to GZ. Having decided that dragging 2 kids up and around the roles was quite difficult, there was no way I was taking them back down. The egg sensibly went back along the beach and met us up on the road.... where we managed to eventually scramble to. A good fun adventure on a perfect spring day, TFTC
With Webbington, Koomsta, and Old Man Pitty. Picked up trackable moving it on tomorrow
Great location for this one, some scrambling was needed, good shoes too. Left a treasure for those who want to try to find this cache. Great spot with great views. TFTC
We had a bit of luck because where we chose to park was right opposite to perhaps one of the better areas for scrambling down the bank. aus squibbed it but aus2 descended carefully and soon had the cache in hand.
We drove further down and had a look at the beach - very nice but a very cool breeze soon sent us back to the car. On to Cygnet for lunch. Thank you for the cache.

Went along the beach but the tide was high and resorted to a scramble up the bank before getting to GZ. It was easier returning by the road. The hint and accurate coords made finding easy
TFTC Team Bubble TeaAs we ran out of time on a recent trip to the Channel district we returned to seek out those caches missed. The weather was even better than last time because there was no early fog. Plans had to be slightly rearranged to fit in lunch at the Lotus Eaters café in Cygnet. Coffee was spot on and the food good. After this visit we still have more in the area to look for and another return is needed.
A great spot, A beach I had not heard about before. The cache was approached via the beach and then an uphill scramble. Cache quickly found; it was in excellent condition. TNLN. Many thanks Team Bubble Tea.
There was car already here but the owners and dog had gone the other way. We headed down the beach it was high ties so as we walked the beach it was wait for water to go out run around to next bit as the water returned and so on down the beach. We followed the foot steps of two different dogs two small kids prints and adult. pE returned via the high track to road and the three boys did the run and duck and waiting game along the beach.

After parking, the GPSr read 15m.
I alked back up the road a bit, scrambled down a near-cliff, weaved through some bushes, used a supplied rope to negotiate an eroded bank just above the beach, scrambled back up the hill, dropped into a gully, and quickly found the cache (after the round a bout trip).
After signing, I walked 5m sideways and was shocked to see the car just there!
Thanks.

In company with Garfield Meow. With no mobile reception, it was a bit if a guess, by after a bit of scrambling around, cache was found.
Mobile reception was lost. All we had was the coordinates. No description, no hint, couldn't even confirm location. But scrambling our way around, nick discovered the hide. This was our last one for our joint caching afternoon with cacheconverters. We finished it off with some 'red velvet lounge' coffees, teas and milkshakes.
After surveying the territory from near the edge of the road, we headed off down the slope. After letting our GPS settle, we focussed in one one tree stump. Initially we thought we had drawn a blank but careful prodding of all holes finally produced a different sound. The cache was extracted and found it to be in good condition. This was a very good hide as the colour of teh container blended exceptionally well with the hide location. TFTC Team Bubble Tea
Took a while to find this one, the bank i was standing on gave way and i fell to the beach. After composing myself i continued looking and adventually found it as per the clue.
Arrived at Drip Beach late in the afternoon yesterday and decided it would be a good place to camp the night. Planned on doing this one after happy hour but then ran out of energy and enthusiasm and decided to leave it till the morning. So an early find was made [Mr B was sent down while Mrs B waited on the road]. Thanks.
We raced down the terrain to this one (having scaled Cradle mountain just days before gave us the necessary experience here)and quickly located and signed the log. I think swaps were made but the overhanging altitude sickness has made my memory fade. TFTC
A quick little scrabble down to the cache. It would have been lovely to do it from the beach today, but the were a few muggles about. TFTC!
Found with Tassie Trekkers while caching in the area. Lovely and calm at Drip Beach today. A bit of a scramble up to the cache. Took Travel slug. TFTC.
Found with whitewebbs on our "Down South" caching holiday. Lovely walk along the beach lots of erosion on the banks. Geohubbies scrambled up to retrieve the cache Took Metamorphisis TB TFTC
Bit of a slippery climb down from road, been a wet winter. Found it without too much trouble, took hammerhead, left travel slug & travel bug. TFTC
Lovely spot. Kids spent ages chuckin' rocks into the water. Grabbed the cocky, and left a chick in its place. Thanks!
Found today. first cache in a while and really enjoyed it. this is a lovely little spot and only 3.5kms from my house by sea.
picked up a compass lady bug TB and dropped off a piggy TB. TFTC

My husband, despite having grown up in Franklin, had never taken the coastal road between Cygnet and Cradoc! He has now, and enjoyed the beautiful sights along the way.
Thank you for the cache!
