Beautiful memorial but sadly no cache. It was a day of intense muggle activity but looked everywhere around the rear of the statue but no luck. Worth replacing we think

Found the Cache location but we think its missing. Checked the hint which appeared to confirm our fears it was gone. Had plenty of little eyes and hands helping me look but to no avail. Might need someone else to confirm, just in case we missed it.
Madstars, this is indeed a very beautiful park. Number three for a day of five. Thanks. The ANZAC flowers were still in place.
Good one. I'll try to add a photo showing the Impatiens flowers beside the approach to the monument.

I know it's been almost a most since if kind this cache but, I always pay my debts. I said I was going to write a better log and here it is.
We came down to Maitland Park for the Australia Day festivities and, after a feed and a few rides, I came down here really quick to scope it out.
Once I got to GZ there were people right there but weren't paying any attention to me. I would imagine they thought it was normal for a person to go and visit a memorial, especially on Australia Day.
After a quick search and having to look over and through to the cache, the log was swiftly signed and replaced as found.
Thank you MADSTARS for a great cache in a great location.

I went to this area for another reason entirely, but geocaching had to be attempted. I was with gerrynewgirl at the time, so I chatted with the working Council guy, whilst gng located thje cache. We actukally fessed up about what we were doing though, which tukrned out to be a good thing, as the 'mature' aged Council guy told us that he now knew not to remove it if he disturbed it. TFTC
2nd for the evening with GazzaG, found quickly and returned just as quick.

Just hoping someone could put a nice clean A4 piece of paper in this cache for me.
It will keep this cache going for longer.
If you really want I can archive and a local cacher can take up the reins of this great little spot.
Thanks

I decided to look for it even thought it is a micro, but I had a fair idea it was bigger than a micro so no worries lets go for it.
I found it with no problems, not sure that this is the original spot the CO placed it in, but I returned it where found
Thanks for the cache and the memorial.

Headed into Maitland to do a few things and could not resist getting some caches as well. This was one we were able to find.
Thanks to MADSTARS.
Thanks to MADSTARS.
In Maitland for a birthday party so thought we could find some caches too.
We have visited some wonderfull parks, cemetries, old buildings & seen some great caches as well.
This is a great location for a cache, a few people enjoying the pic-nic area put no broblems for signing the log.
Thanks MADSTARS

After searching on the wrong level for a minute, we went up to the correct level and quickly had the cache in hand. TFTC
this is a nice pace. great day for it to. A play in the park and then time for treasure hunt
Quiet time here today. No muggles about meant quick and easy find. Thanks MADSTARS

This monument is much more grand than most and places like these are definetly deserving of a cache in our eyes. After ANZAC day recently it was fantastic to see so many wreaths still laying at GZ. A good hide and an equally good hint. TFTC.
A very beautiful park that I would never have visited if it wasn't for Geocaching. Thanks for bringing me here. Lest We Forget. SL TFTC
This was our last for the day after grabbing the near by one on the bridge as part of plan to let the evening traffic ease off before we hit the road. As we got near to GZ a group of muggles was playing hide and seek of the non GPS sort so we thought we would wait them out and read some of the history. The muggles soon left and we made a very quick grab of a familiar container type of the CO’s. We sat and signed the log, replaced it and headed off. TFTC
Thanks for bringing myself and my geomini to this location. It is good to remember our fallen. The last person placed it to the right. It took a couple of extra feels. TNLN SL TFTC
Out on a day of caching with dalsmit and spikeymikey and this one went to dalsmit's young fella Luke.

came up for the markets ( impressive ) and cleared a couple of caches before heading home. lovely park for a quick morning tea before moving on. nice cache thanks for taking us there.
DNF with someone who previously found the cache. cache is MIA since the garden has been redone.
There was no one else any where near today, so this was a quick find for bikerbuddy.
Thanks for showing us this memorial, I hadn't been here before.

This is a pretty impressive memorial. Good to come here. And thankyou for the clue. Very sensible. Stops unnecessary rummaging through the gardens, which no one would like. I placed my hand on it straight away.
We were invited up here to the hunter valley by the local commercial balloonists.
It was their 30 anniversary of flying in the valley so 30 balloons were invited.
A fantastic weekend was had and some caching thrown in was an excellent way to fill the day.
Hint made this one a lot less frustrating, excellent.
Cheers for the Cache.

Thought it may be missing, since the gardener has been heavily pruning the area. Geokid spotted it, thankyou! great hide
We arrived to find a young worker whipper snipping the edges , doh, but with max router stealth the cache came to hand, thanx , it was then time for a cuppa and cake at the nearby tables, nice work
I thought this would be an easy find based upon the hint. It took a while to find. Lucky there is a hedge to hide me from muggles eyes.
TFTC.
A beautiful day with many people down the park, with no-one near GZ.
Great little hiding spot.

A realy well looked after park and a stunning monument. While the container is fairly standard the area is not, this is a must do cache. Thanks Madstars.
