Had a decent look around under rocks and in crevices but to no avail. Perhaps another time we will revisit this one.
Had a good look around at dusk... Maybe with rain there was a rockslide and is now buried??
Couldn't find this one it's a very steep climb so anyone with bad ankles or knees should avoid this one.
After a half hour of searching couldn't did it. Will have to go back when it's not raining
Pulled up in the car at the top of the lane way directly under all the rocks and VilleFamily Jnr did not feel like scaling the hill to check it out. And there was heaps of wind too. This looked like a mint spot but will check this out another day.
Out for a trip to domain central with Frullet Jr. and he asked if there was treasure near by.
It turns out we found what we were looking for. While at GZ the fighter jets were coming in for landing and what an awesome place to be!!! Right under the flight path the noise was unbelievable. Got some awesome photos. Thanks for bring me here another place I would have never found if it wasn't for this game.

Some effort required in the early afternoon sun but thankfully Geo-mum turned over the right rock and we could sign, replace and admire the view. TFTC DaBuddClan.
Finding the replaced cache took this of my bookmark list of missing caches.

Out and about with RobS72 today to grab a couple caches in the area. First knocked out Flying views 2 which had been on our list for a while and made special to us by Rob . Due to this cache being muggled ( met a previous cacher at the cache who had previously found it and confirmed it was gone) we decided to replace it. Tftc sl tnln
Out doing a spot of caching with Jackylegs44. Arrived at GZ and commenced our search with little success. A former cacher passing by, stopped to have a chat with us while out exercising his dog. Told us that the cache is no longer here and showed us the exact hiding spot.
Jackylegs44 had a spare cache in their bag, so have replaced the missing cache.
Log signed. New cache container and contents were found to be in excellent condition.
Finding this cache has now given me a total find count of 1403.
Thanks for the Cache hide DaBuddClan

Didn't spend too long looking for this one as I was a bit put off by the previous logs and had already been caching for a few hours prior, Might give it another go before I leave Townsville.
We were a bit concerned by the most recent log and thought we might be heading up just to confirm the absence of a cache. Fortunately after a bit of searching we were able to locate a safe and secure cache and were soon making our mark in the log book.
Not sure if this was ever meant to be a path or just a way to divert rain runoff, either way it is in serious need of some TLC.

Looked extensively, but only found a strip of white pva pipe and a few old playing cards.
Great little walk up the drain to for a great view. Found the cache next to a Rock Wallaby who frightened me. He was startled to. The cache was stuck in the ground after a downfall of rain some weeks ago that washed dirt into the hiding hole.

Nice cache! Left some swaps including a pathtag and some new bags for the log book. TFTC

Found at 2:20 PM in the company of The Drovers GAFF1. We certainly made a mess of this one - or it made a mess of c-pprass at least. Made this cache a Terrain 4.0 by going up the short cut way, and then on the return - it was not a good sight with c-pprass slipping down and ending up rolling to the bottom of the slope. Quite badly cut up in the knees and a very swollen left knee for the next few days.
Cache was a bit of a mystery - listed as an "Unknown" but in fact it is a Regular - a 30 cm PVC pipe.
Thanks DaBuddClan.

Day four caching with pprass.
We hated the thought of climbing those stairs, so we decided to take the route that would have been a terrain rating of 4.
The climb up the rocks was quite hard, but we were rewarded with a quick find.
Then we had to get down again. Bad move ! ! Let's just say - someone got hurt.
Don't make the terrain harder than it needs to be, please climb the stairs.
Thanks for the cache, DaBuddClan.

Found it relatively essily, had to wait for a muggle to walk by. Log is a little damp.

This was our second attempt at our first GZ. With success. Kids got excited and we had a pretty good time. TFTC
Took my two boys up there for a "treasure hunt". Our very first attempt at looking for a cache with no joy:( Read the logs and have a bit more of an idea as to where it might be. We'll go up there again next Sunday and see if we can find it again.
#255 our first find back home in Townsville!
We took a detour while on our way to an appointment, and decided to stop here. We stopped at the road, and were soon climbing up the steep little hill in over 30 degree heat . We were soon at the top and looking for the cache. The coords were a bit off but Piggley soon had the cache in hand. We signed the log, and got rid of the bubbles(they leaked). The trackables had a nice little visit, and then Piggley replaced the cache. We then went down and got back into the air conditioned car. Ahhhhh...
Thanks for a great cache with spectacular views, DaBuddClan.

See our note of 15 April 2012. This piece of broken pipe has nothing to do with the cache. We might not get up there for a week or so- if someone does and they find this piece of pipe can they please discard it. Happy caching!
Found on a quick trip around the area to fill in some time.
Excellent views and took lots of photos.
Nice safe hide and no muggles around. TFTC,

We are going to attempt to find this one today. We don't have a GPS so are doing it the old fashioned way~ Will let you know how successful we are.
#191 After a long day at work, all I wanted to do was grab a quick find, and get home before the foot started.
Wow. I forgot how much I hated steps, and how unfit I am at the moment.
Anyway, at the top, we had to wait for a young family to move along before hunting for the hide. Monkeys went high and left, while Camps went right. After a quick look, I called the monkeys to help me with this one spot. They both announced that they found it, then had a fight over who was first.

Ok we have now located both the cache and the broken plastic pipe. Glad to say the container is intact. The broken plastic pipe was a red herring which just happened to be there. We scrapped away the soil run-off that had buried the cache and will come back with some new goodies some other time. (Oldest cache-kid wanted to claim this as a find due to the awkward digging that we had to do to reveal the cache but we thought that we'd better not.) Happy caching to all!
What can I say? Wear the right shoes.... I wore the wrong ones and my ankles are paying for it. It took us AGES to find it, but it's there. If not for the air-force jets doing fly-bys to keep us entertained, we would have left it behind. Thank God for the pic! The broken pipe was indeed a stale trail and if you had not updated the site the day before with comments about the pipe, we would have believed it had been muggled. Loved the bubbles and note etc. Bubbles in the wind at sunset. A great way to end the find.
Oh, and just as we were packing up, another family came to the site. We had to send them away so we could re-hide it. They were back for their second attempt. Hope they found it.

Found what is left of the geocache. needs replacement as the cylinder was broken in half
This was my next find. Hmm steep path? I think it is more actually a "drain" - which was in full swing today. However I was still able to make my way up to GZ. Hmmm - this one ended up being a bit more than 1.5 terrain I think. I finally got to GZ and started the hunt. After about 10 minutes I came up with the goods in good condition. I have posted the co-ords that worked for me today(very close to orginal). TFC DaBuddClan
Took me a little while but got there in the end. Awesome view. Thanks for the cache
Good 10 minute look required. Look forward to finding the rest of your families caches. TFTC
I was on one of my lungbusters up the hill to the RAAF gate. Been meaning to get this cache for a long time as I pass within 30metes of it a couple of times a week.
CAche was in good condition. I dropped a spare pen in there as there didn't appear to be one. Although I didn't empty everything out. I think I have 1 more of your series to go. But being a nano I have to be in the mood for it.
Thanks for the cache.

Two in the morning, climbing up the hill, rocks, dirt, sant, bushes... Did I mention the rocks? Why did we not see the path? Why? Let's just say, the rout we took was a terrain rating of about 4... 9 of clubs card, tftc...
Found quickly after a slog up the side of that hill…….. The drain makes a great climbing surface.
This one has not been found for a while but is in great condition. I took the Geocache Passport as it appears to have been here since February. I'm sure the kids at Soundview Elementry School will be happy that it is moving on.

Whilst searching for this cache we disturbed a rock wallaby hiding in the GZ area. Unsure who got the biggest fright. Persistence paid off as there were many possible cache hiding spots. For such a large cache it took time to find. The log was signed and nothing was taken or left.
Yet another visit to TSV and finally I can log this one. Been on my radar a while. Quite the climb up the 'stairs' but what a view awaits! There's been a lot of water flowing up here which has added to the camo. That said I made a quick, if lucky, find.
Found a TB in there which has probably done its trip away from TSV but I took it anyway. Dropped in another TB. Great spot.
Thanks!

Great view indeed! Left a couple of Oz flag tattoos to mark the day..Happy Australia Day from Matt & Sam! Nice cache
Found by WB and Havok walking the dogs.... was looking in the wrong spot but WB found it under the first rock she picked!!! Left nothing, took a marble to pass on to other caches! Brilliant views.
Needed to escape the house after a particularly bad day. Just drove for a bit and ended up doing this cache. Turned a bad day into a better one!

A not too hard walk up to GZ and rewarded by a cache and a good view. Thankfully a caching eye espied the likely hide. Thanks DaBuddClan
The disadvantage of paperless caching is that you only read the logs when you run into problems or when logging your caches, so I did not know where it was or the terrain. The views from up here are terrific and thanks for showing them to me. Good to see such a large cache. Thanks to the DaBuddClan.
First find of day. miss S found while cam - suz took a breath. Swapped smiley lanyard for guitar magnet. Great views.
I was lucky.
I simply drove to the stairs and ascended them.

Contoured around from the third of the caches on the ridge. It was mostly enjoyable until I hit patches of chiny apple trees that I couldn't avoid and had to go through. Was looking for the cache itself when I heard a car horn and saw that BelKen had arrived down below at the end of the walk.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
This was our first find. Great view. Had walked past it many times before and did not know about it until we registered. Took chess set added spiderman. We loved it.
Had an amusing time investigating the potential purchase of a certain block of land so yes it was ok for us to be on it! Then we realised we actually needed to be up there. Little bit of rock hopping never hurt anyone! Cache found quickly and took the time to get some great shots of Townsville in its beautiful greenery!! Great spot. TFTC DaBuddClan
We decided to ignore the closed gate at the bottom of the steps as we had come this far, the prize was only 150 metres away and besides there was only a small stream of water flowing down the steps from above after the rain. Found easily and took time to look at the view. Great!
Fourth and final leg of the midday walk around the Mount Louisa cache sites. Quick walk up the rocks and had the cache out of GZ in no time. Another great spot for views.
Off to return to the car and head for home.

Probably my favourite cache so far, the view was nothing short of amazing. Got there at night so we (me and Chivalry) could see all of Townsville. Definitely prefer this view to the view at Castle Hill, much more new and exciting. Plus, not so many have seen Castle Hill from this view

Pt. Douglas Trip 09.13. First of my day in Townsville, and my first hill, but the top. I suppose the wet season requures this large run off channel. It makes a good path to get up here and see the surrounds. Thanks.
