Danz was here, now she's gone, the cache hiding spot was totally wrapped up in Denso tape, that is that sticky greasy tape stuff, the nano might still be there but didnt want to unwrap to find out!! If the next person wants a free nano feel free to unwrap it!!

Tried last trip but no luck, found after a short look, thankgoodness. Love this beach. Off for a coffee now.

Checked on cache today, have replaced the log and also freed up the container lid - hopefully all good for at least another 50 finders!

[black] Second attempt to find this one, area was muggle-free this time which made it a lot easier. Still took a while to find, but surprisingly I found it in the last place I looked TFTC Geckoh

Haha nice one. Found after a bit of scrambling around. Junior geocachers were amazed and declared they NEVER would have found it. Logbook now well full so in need of replacing, but I was certainly able to get it open. TFTC

No owner maintenance required as demonstrated by the last three finders who were all able to open the cache container. Could future finders please refrain from scratching their initials in the container - a simple photograph would have sufficed rather than resorting to vandalism! Thank you

Looked once, twice and thrice before we found this one. Indeed it required a womans look, so No1 found it. TFTC

Clever! Our smallest find yet! Every man and his dog seemed to be in the park this afternoon, and the flying fox was zipping across nonstop. Congratulations to Daddy Geocacher for his find and for having the right tool in the van to open it!

Can't get the nano open, stuck. Please investigate.

Email sent to cache owner asking for permission to log cache, found on 29th December but was unable to open. Took pictures of the location and the cache container, I will send these to owner as proof of find

Great little hide and an easy find. I paid two visits to the location as I forgot to take a pen with me the first time

Found after reading clues and trying again. Removed, opened and returned. Filled in last name for them.

Well we checked out all the metal we could find ... like the previous visitor ..... we didn't see it.

Looked for ages and couldn't find it.

Very nice.... wife did a girls look and found it.

And not a single muggle to be seen, that wouldn't happen very much here I wouldn't think. Not surprising though, the weather was atrocious. Nice hide.

We're going to have to brush up on our observation skills, as we're feeling a bit foolish that it took us quite a while to find . Ah well, at least we got there eventually .

Ruruwha might think he has a 'young' set of eyes but doesn't even know what day he was there. !!!He begged me to show him where this cache was and i gave him heaps of clues to find.

Oh TFTC Geckho - my first nano find

Visited with Ymana a few days ago but didn't realise we were looking for something SO SMALL, came back today to do a solo mission and managed to find it, hopefully we didn't look to suspect rumaging in the bushes haha

Darn we made out we were checking the tightness of bolts etc for the benefit of all the muggles out today but still didnt manage to find it and starting to look a bit suspect so decided to go back on a less busy day - now have read some of the entries have a few ideas.

Knew exactly what we were looking for, but could not find it at first. Then we realised there was one more spot we had overlooked. And sure enough, there it was. Thanks.

Yeah tiny but no match for our eagle eyes!! On a grand tour of a lot of the caches of Whakatane (and Ohope Beach). This was definitely the smallest.

GREAT cache ... very sneaky. Had great fun swooping down to it .. all should try it ... young and old (ignore the sign about being for kids only). TFTC

Took some looking for the baby cache

Did this at night and must have overlooked the cache a good few times.. After reading the logs we searched each part more closely and evertually found the cache.. Thanks for the cache...

Having hunted for this one a few months back we weren't letting it out of our clutches today! Swiftly found by return2nai. TFTC.

Sort of guessed what we might be looking for but it still took a while. I'd just given up and started to walk away when Mr. Paua Ranger gave a shout! Lovely little cache! Thanks.

A lot of persistince required. GPS had us 7-8 metres to the west. great park for the kids. very clever hide. T4TC

We did this one with our cousins and uncil but had a few trys on our own and did not find it so they must be good luck charms.

Joined the Nephews for this one today. Not too hard once you read the clues and get a bit "cunning".

I recommend the coffee from the vendor parked up on the main road, although it wasn't enough to help find this cache

Took a while but we eventually locately the clever hide T4TC.

Easy find, just had to wait for the muggles, as quite busy, being a lovely day, alot of people taking advantage of the weather. Needs new paper as there is no space for next visit to sign.

Should have found it but didn't. Not enough time for a search of likely spots.

We had a pretty good idea of what we're looking for (from the logs), but after 20 minutes of search, couldn't locate it this time.

The Freezer Mice strike again!!!
On our way home to Hamilton (from Gisborne), and since we still had time for a couple of caches we stopped in at this one.
Actually proved to be a pretty easy find... maybe we were just lucky.

Quick find second time round -- in the rain.

After decrypting the clue, we found it pretty quickly. Mrs A gets credit for this find. TFTC and heelo from Canada.

Only a few likely spots to hide this one, so found it by elimination. Yes, it is likely that many will need a magnifying glass. Unfortunately we were unable to open cache as it appeared that the previous cacher may have done it up too tight (or I may be a bit weak after painting for a couple of days). Can supply appropriate photo for confirmation if so desired.

Almost gave up but knew it had to be somewhere so relieved when cache was found. So who/what is Danz? #724 4/18

Got us going at first but after conducting a more thorough search soon had it in hand. SL TFTC.

As promised, this wasn't a straight forward find. Netty and I enjoyed the search and were pleased with ourselves when the cache was located.

Fortunately my fear of darkness and lack of torch didnt stop me finding this one, although I think I have metal residue in my fingertips. And as I know who Danz is, I must end with DANZ ROCKS!! TFTC

Found very quickly - yes, sorry Geckoh very, very quickly. Had really rugged up in our heavy jackets thinking we could be out in the cold for a while but we weren't. Grampy walked straight over tried one spot and turned to another, probably all over in two minutes. Seemed to take me longer to replace the log. TFTC

A tricky wee blighter… Danz Waz Here… and so were we. Many thanks for the challenge… enjoyed our first three Geckoh caches… hopefully we can get some more on our return trip.

With 2 DNF's in a row alarm bells are starting to ring!! Thought we best check this one out on the way past, but sorry guys, the cache is still there!!! Look a bit harder!

Oh darn - I have to add my name to the list of DNF's. Junior Zorgon abandoned me to try the flying fox and Mrs Zorgon disappeared down the road to the roadside book sale. Despite a reasonable hunt the wee cache proved to be rather too elusive

Old Boots! & I searched and searched some more but the nano eluded us. GPS GZ was not very helpful and searched everywhere to 12m.

Spotted this one very quickly, in amongst a bunch of jolly little pirates rampaging around the park. You get an eye for these little ones after a while, but this would be one of the best placements of this type that we've seen.

Team GuanoGerbil's 4th and final Geckho find for the day. This one was found by GG senior as the merry gerblings were out the car door onto the flying fox before I could even reach for the GPS!
You sure proved yourself right - this one took me a while, even though I knew exactly what I was looking for! All relevant areas looked over a couple of times before I found it - more by feel than sight. Well placed and well camoed.
Good to get a few of these reptilian caches ticked off, but will have to come back now for the rest another day.

For this one, I just lay back and relaxed and let G.G. do all the work.
