Time for this one to go. Thanks to all those that found it. It's a great spot so hopefully it'll free the area up for another cache
Number 2/2 DNF for the day!
We approached from up top at first, logging the trig point on the way (TP4948).
However, as we approached the coords, it was obvious that there was no 'high' where the cache could be found. So around we went for another approach. As we headed towards the location, we noticed someone looking suspiciously nonchalant. Another cacher? We never did find out as we must have scared him off.
We got to the location, and looked around for a bit. However, after I tried a little bit of rock climbing, the geokiddies had had enough, and so we called off the hunt.
Beautiful spot - we would have loved to have sat down on the grassy area for a picnic, but it had gone to the dogs.

When arriving at GZ I looked around for a good 5-10minutes before thinking outside the square and getting adventurous... I was rewarded with the cache,
A great find, Great Location, Great view and a great cache!!
Big thanks to the Hancock Clan

Easy find, expected it to be higher so maybe it's been not put back properly. Needs a new container desperately though.
Oh my, I'm so sorry, Hancocks. I have broken the cache container.
When we arrived at GZ we had a good idea of where it might be but not exactly where and we could not spot it. Neither of us is a rock climber although those skills would be very handy. My extendable mirror did not assist either. Not long enough. I don't think I'll be giving much away if I say that Mr G's shoulders were the important tool. Up I went, (not sitting, standing!) a little shaky and spotted something. Couldn't get a good grasp and it fell as I was reaching for it and it broke into three pieces when it hit the ground. I'm so sorry because it's a wonderful container. We searched our geocaching kit for something to patch it up with. On our little waterless hand cleaner container there was a green stretchy bit that could be used to latch the container onto a belt. We managed to wrap this around the pieces and they are more or less holding together.
Up I went again, this time a little less shaky and placed it where I had found it. Down I hopped. Oh no, you can see the green stretchy bit. We can't leave it like that.
Once more up on the shoulders, this time feeling more like a circus acrobat career was a possibility. Took my time setting the container so that it would be both hidden and reachable. Mr G was not enjoying this quite as much as the first two times! Down I hopped, head full of sand and Mr G with footprints on his shoulders. Oh well, all for caching!
Again deep apologies. Some super glue might do the trick SL TFTC Cheers.........Gaztek

How cool! Great place and great hiding spot. We first tried to grab it together, but then one alone did better....

Revisited this one after having a swim at Mahon Pool.
Brought a muggle friend to show him what geocaching is about.
Nice new container, pity it's too small for swaps now but a great hide none the less.

Our first Cache in Australia! Really nice location, thanks a lot. Wondering how the next ones will be like ...

Just got back to Sydney after a month in Korea and what better way to celebrate than finding the cache closest to our home in Maroubra.
We decided to go looking for it after a morning swim at Mahon pool.
Heavily pregnant Geowife spotted the cache location then managed to use her rock climbing skills to grab the cache whilst geohubby held onto geobaby.

At GZ I picked where I needed to be, and was even pretty sure I could spot the hide... but with a bad shoulder was reluctant to climb. I tried a stick, lifting my muggle friend, and finally had to trust my orthopaedic surgeon had done a good job! Tricky manoeuvre but well executed if I do say so my self. I had bad luck today. I found just one geocache today, but not this one. And I had a walk about 22 km. From Bondi to here and back to Bondi. But the weather was fantastic until 3:00 p.m. And I have taken a lot of pictures.
Replaced cache today. It's back up high again and more disguised but can still be seen from ground level. Please don't disturb the possible pigeon's nest nearby (the cache is on the opposite side to it).
Be careful retrieving this one as I got hit on the chest by the rock holding it down! Great early morning views. TFTC
No trouble to find this one. No trouble reaching it and container still missing. A couple of pidgeons may be building a nest up above it.
GZ for this cache has absolutely spectacular views. Alas, if there was a container it's now gone; thankfully the log, pen and ziplock bag are intact and together. I returned it just within reach (for a 5'6" person) with a rock on top - this may help or hinder its discovery.

this was fun and thrilling, we made a bee line for the cache walking around the cliff face and rockpools. somewhere along the way the signal dropped out and we had to turn back. When we climbed back to street level the signal came back, so we had another crack. we logged the visit but took nothing and left nothing.

Cache had fallen on ground. Lucky find. Placed back where I think it should be and rock put on top. Thanks.

Close to a year ago we'd come looking for this one. As it happened we'd soon located it back then but because of some nearby fisher folk dared not make the retrieval attempt. So on this delightful sunny autumn day we came for another attempt. Happily there was no one in the vicinity today. This time we couldn't spot the cache container - mainly because there ain't one no more. Just a log book in a zip lock bag which is a pity. Reading recent logs we'd tend to agree with the muggling theory. It's a great spot and obviously quite popular with all sorts of people. The views out o'er the briny blue are terrific.
Found 17:30, managed to retrieve it myself and left it up to the more nimble geo-daughter to replace. Top views of the coast. TNLN thanks.
(a.k.a. Spike) Beautiful spot, would recommend bringing a friend and a torch along...as well as a go-go-gadget-hand! Had a lot of fun finding this one and pondering how it was placed in the first place . All credit to Mu33a for actually grabbing it, took quite a bit of skill!
I thought I would revisit this cache whilst in the area visiting and since the concept of this cache had changed (and grab another 'it's all about numbers' cache).
The first attempt today only to find two muggles sheltering with their telescopes. Striking up a conversation discovered they were looking for False Killer Whales but were having no luck. With them sitting right a GZ decided to leave it alone and come back later.
Later in the day I discovered the cache had gone from its previous location. The Geowife found an unprotected logbook sitting in a small gap at eye level 5 metres South. The log appeared to be quite dry which to me indicated a recent muggling.
Had a spare bag ziplock bag in the car so I sealed it back in with a pen and returned it to its 'original' position.
Thanks Hancock Clan for letting me get this cache again.

Found it, but with my 165 cm could only take a photo, hope it is acceptable for a log.

A nice easy walk up to GZ, then there came the thought, 'oh, up there!'
In the end it wasn't as high as I had assumed, and with some monkey cunning it was soon in hand.
A lovely spot on a balmy late winters morning, with hardly a muggle in sight.
Thanks for the wonderful views and great hiding spot...TNLNSL

A nice day out for a bit of caching and a nice spot this is nice hide picked up coin left TBug thanks......
I have been here before, so I let Bushy2233 find the goods. It didn't take him long at all, and he ain't 9 foot tall. It's great to come back to this awesome location, I just wish I had enough money to buy a house here. Thanks
We had to scratch our heads and read the logs a couple of times, when all of a sudden a likely spot presented itself. Walenator undertook some climbing and the cache was soon in hand. Took the MAINE GC and dropped off R-N 2008 GC. SL TFTH
What a great cache location!
After some very careful examination of the lower ledges much closer to the edge than was needed the cache location became obvious.
Even being 6 foot tall was not enough even to see the cache. However digging into childhood memories of rock climbing in the Blue Mountains the cache was soon in hand.
Took rusty bolt(?) left keyring, grabbed geocoin. TFTC

Our last success for the evening and favourite of the geokids, giving us a 3/6 success rate, this one had been previously done whilst it was the WiFi Multi so I knew where it was though it was not as high last time!
This time Geogirl had to stand on my shoulders to reach the cache but that was quickly achieved and the log process carried out.
thanks for bringing us back here

Maybe the tide was two high. I think we saw it though I don't know how people could reach. We are going back with some climbing gear... TFTH
Went to site for third time.. can see it clearly, but cant see any way to get tothe cache unless your 9 foot tall.(and I am 6'2) have to bring some equipment. Love to know how others have retrieved it.
Once I asked myself, where would I place it, I found it right away. Great location. A beautiful day to get outside and play! TFTC.
very nice. Windy day though so lost some contents in the sea. Sorry. Luckily had climber in our party.
Great cache site but don't go too near the cliff edges - unless you're a crazy cliff top fisherman. No trades but took Phrog TB. T4TC
No Dramas with the find, nice place for Geo-Ricky.
Dont know how no lil punks have found it yet.

My first Sydney find. I was staying with friends near by, so I went for a walk with my partner. We enjoyed the walk to along rocks and the climb to the cache. TNLN. Thanks for my first Sydney cache and the walk along a beautiful.
This was my 3rd DNF in a row. However, a memorable DNF in that I've never been thrown off a cache by a bikini model photo shoot. Not quite what I was expecting. Given that the weather was cold, windy and threatening rain she was probably more uncomfortable than I was!
I came back a little later though, no bikini models in sight. Figured out where the cache was, retrieved and signed.
Thanks for the cache!
best wishes,
Wal

After a little searching looked up and there it was
Had muggles with cameras taking photos at GZ making things difficult but we got it in the end. Mo being 6ft had the duties of getting to it.
Took Kid's Geocoin #3, will move it on.

First cache & FTF for the new year!
Saw this one come up and felt sad that I was not able to do it originator. Was a great idea.
Alas, arrived at GZ this morning and after a little scramble I had the cache in hand.

Nope.. 2nd visit to cache. First time via wifi coords.
Either its way either too high to reach..(even though im 6'2) looks like something up there.. or (as the gps seemed to indicate) its on a lower level of the cliff, and you need to climb across a narrow ledge..between cliff face and sea, and if its down there, its way to dangerous for me.
.. Addendum,,.
Google earthed the coords.. and looks like it is the one i can see but not reach. Will bring a ladder next time
Doesn't help that I was in my lunch hour and had work shoes on..

Paid the cache a visit this evening to replace the log book and to note the TB numbers so as to retrieve them from 802.11g WiFi. The cache had gone! We replaced it with a slightly smaller one and hid it well. Also dropped in a geocoin.
