Quick find today and log is dry and in good condition. I loaded this one in my GPS before I left Australia and have only just discovered that CO has archived it. As it is still in place will lodge my found log. Lovely cared for area with a lot of history. Would be good if another local cacher hides a cache here if the CO does not want to maintain this one. TFTC.
I had this one loaded in my PQ and found it without any problems. Shame its been archived as this place is well worth a visit. Must be one of Port Chalmers best kept secrets. Some stunning Hotere artworks on display here. If you have an interest in New Zealand art you should visit this place. TFTC
A nice quck easy find On the mega hunt with wethreefourdices, Castlewood_Crew and CacheManChris. TFTC
Cache in good condtion, still in play. Pretty windy and wet ot there.
Found on the return journey home to Christchurch with Kiwi Moose after the NZMEGA in Dunedin. Thanks for hide.

Found this one while on a trip of Port Chalmers. Mum had said there was a cache here, but we couldn't find it on the GPS, but since we were here anyways, decided to take a look, and sure enough, right there, and last found today too!?
There was some people playing on the drums near here, and wow it sounded like some sort of sacrificial drum beating!! Haha.
But I do remember being here as a kid, and playing on this tree nearby which had this epic tree house type thing in it! And it was so fun to climb up!!

Homeward bound with Karma Reprint from the MEGA. I wondered why this wasn't showing up and now I see. Still here as others have pointed out. Great view too! TNLN Thanks.
Still out there, dry and log space. Had it on details before it was archived. Mega trip with Ingidayna, Wethreefourdices and Cachemanchris. TFTC
41 of 70 smileys over the NZ MEGA weekend. Out caching with ingidayna, Castlewood-crew and Cacheman Chris. A quick find and good hide location. Wondering why it has been archived, a great spot. TFTC
Ghostgums, gunnie69, Ozibags, thefourbees, Kaisho53 and MrMeccano were on a 6 day escapade to Dunedin to attend the mega and this was thebeginning of our second day. After a bit of a wet & windy day 1, day 2 looked more promising. We had set our sights on a drive out to Port Chalmers and back.
We made our way up the hill to the car park. Not surprisingly the place was deserted. We took some time to enjoy the view and grabs some happy snaps for the rest of our families back home at school and work.
We then set off down the path and found the cache right where it was supposed to be.

Day 2 of Cache Hunting at NZ Mega 21012 with Gunnie69, Ghostgums, Mr Meccano, Ozibags and TheFourBees
we arrived at parking adjacent GZ & spent a bit of time doing the tourist bit taking holiday snaps, admiring the view etc then got down to the serious business - find the cache
Log was soon found and we moved along
Interesting sculptures etc and great views - seem a shame to see it archived now - didn't appear as if the cache traffic was over high this weekend to have caused any issues

Thanks wallaceDuo

The message had arrived that the cache had been archived, but saw seagnoids log and added it back on the list. And what do you know, its still there!
Found by Gunnie69 who was able to provide a new log for other hunters in the area.
Turned out to be a great spot for a few photos of the town!
Day 2 on our caching trip to Dunedin for the NZ MEGA 2012 event with Gunnie69, Kaisho53, Ozibags, fourbees and MrMeccano. Today we headed out through Ravensbourne to Port Chalmers, to Doctors Point and back caching around the northern suburbs of North Dunedin and Opoho.

The Brisbanites arrived at GZ to be greeted with a rather chilly reception... The wind was up and the air was fresh and we were grateful for the multiple layers of clothing we were sporting...
After a couple of obligatory photo's, the trek was made down the path and the cache in hand nice and quickly. We took in the views of the other side and read the plaque while taking in the "art" just up the path. An interesting spot and glad we came out here... [^]
Not sure why this one needed to be archived. It's a great location to be drawn to. Such a shame...
Found with fellow Queensland hunters Kaisho53, OziBags, TheFourBees, Ghostgums and Mr Meccano during our six day visit to Dunedin.
Cheers wallaceDuo.

Archived? Wasn't aware of that when I found it! The container was there so we logged it anyway. Interesting sculptures in the area worthy of people visiting for a look.

Been to this spot a few times before, glad to grab another smiley
Put in a few pieces of paper inside a new bag for a temporary log.

Love this spot. And great to watch the ships loading and unloading. Need a new, dry bag for the cache!
This is a lovely park and those sculptures are pretty cool. Found the cache quickly with the help of the clue, a clever hiding place for it, easy to overlook. Gets a favourite from us. TFTC
Easy find once we realised it wasn't at the flag pole where the geochaching apprentice (wife) thought it would be. Good photo opportunity with the yound nieces we had with us on the 'strange' art work.
An oasis for art lovers overlooking the Lower Otago Harbour and Port Chalmers The damp log could do with a blow wave however.
Lovely spot, never knew it was there. View from the lookout is superb.
Log is damp but able to write on it.

quick find after our kayak/caching trip to the islands. nice spot, never knew it was there. Thanks!
Found and opened ok. But the logbook inside the plastic bag was a bit damp - so couldn't 'log in'. HOTA
I really took the hard route to finding this one given I approached within 200' before discovering I had to backtrack and take a different approach. I then looked hard at the wrong mast.
A nicely hidden cache and a neat place to visit. Thanks for the excuse to visit here.
Poped up the hill before heading back to the city. Neat spot even though it was freezing rain as we arrived. Made a quick tour of the art and a quick find.

Found by Mrs C. More a case of look were the GPSr is telling you not were you think the cache would be. An interesting spot. TFTC.
Today I was out for a caching jaunt with Bedaz, Ngaihill and Bigfoot123, before Bedaz moves away and leaves us to fend for ourselves =(
The plan was to head out into this part of the city and grab as many caches along that route as we could, before I had to be back in town to collect Mrs TEF and Jnr TEF from the airport.
What occurred was more of a leisurely day out - but with the sun shining why wouldn't you slow down and make the most of it?
Last find for the day, a very clever hide which we all appreciated =)
Have to say it was a lot more inspiring than the 'art installations' (seriously, you can throw any jumbled junk together these days and sell it to a city council!)
Signed the log book on 19 December 2011 at 13:06:00

I have visited this one before with Mum but needed to sign the log myself this time. The other kids and I had lots of fun running around the paths.

The last find for the morning before we headed our seperate ways. A great way to end a mornings caching with TeamElliottFamily, NgaiHill and Bigfoot123. A simple idea for the cache but one of the better ones, well done great idea. TFTC
I was looking at the main flagpole on the lookout, and wondering why the GPS was so far out - then ... clonk - I must put a brick in my bag, for to tap my head with! Thanks.
tough ride up this hill this morning, been to the ships mast but didn't know this part existed, thanks for bringing me here
This was an amzing discovery, I had seen the main mast from down below often enough and didn"t realise thee was a lot more to it.
Thanks for bringing me here.

The littlest member of team Jackson Five found it, along with Blondini006 and DA. Beautiful garden and amazing sculptures. More information about the park can be found at http://www.ost-sculpture.org.nz/feature-items/hotere-sculpture-garden/.
Found it with Meadow27 and Presto94. Introducing them to geocaching. Fun day out. Weird art! Lovely view. TFTC. Greetings from South Africa.
Good concealment and fixing, cachers need to ensure the cache is closed properly, listen for the snap! Been here before so put A into G as soon as the cache was sorted.

Cache log was soaked through, just a ball of mush couldn't unroll it and it was unreadable anyway.
Put in a temporary log in a snaplock bag.
If the owner want's the old log I'll hang onto it for a week after posting this then it's gone. By which time it'll probably have started walking anyway.

Couldn't sign log sorry because it's so wet and I thought it would fall apart in my hands. Great spot though, and some interesting artworks. TFTC
Logbook is saturated and needs some tender loving care. Be sure to check out the Hotere Garden nearby too. TFTC
Nice easy find with a nice walk amongst the artworks... however log book was very damp, so didn't attempt to write in it, snaplock bag is probably essential! TFTC
Found with Jemnz. What a neat spot - have been to the lookout by the mast many times but did not know this site existed - a good reason to geocache!!!!
Found with sargenz. Looked in totally the wrong place to start with then followed the gps. Logbook soaked and temporary one very damp too, needs a small ziplock bag. TFTC
That's some wild looking art. Thanks for showing us. Almost forgot to look at the view! TFTC.
Found with Mr B on our Dunedin raid which included 86 finds for the day. A really nice spot and some interesting art work. TFTC.
Easily found, no muggles around. Logbook was a bit damp but could still write in it. TFTC.
On geocaching day out with Onslow Fisherman. Great view, especially the upside down statue !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have to come back in daylight to see artwork properly They looked rather interesting
Found in the rain on a caching day where we have had to adjust our plans a number of times! Greetings from UKers here in Silver's home town. TFTC
Nice view of the port from where we parked. The upside down man was odd. Found on my three day visit to geocaching friends in Dunedin. TFTC
Found on our first visit to Dunedin area, the log sheet was a mess and cache could do with a new log sheet. TFTC

A quick find once we discovered the right place.
Log book damp and in need of drying out.
Log book damp and in need of drying out.
Nice easy find as the weather was rolling in fast! Log book is definately damp, but with the impending weather couldn't leave it out to dry as there was risk of it getting wetter!
Awesome area, would be nice for a picnic on a sunny summers day.

Found with SnowXRacer on holiday from the USA! We wanted to grab a cache before our tour, so left the ship as soon as it docked and headed toward the beautiful church. Just our luck... after walking the hill there was a muggle and his ferocious barking dog, so we had to turn around and go to plan B... which was a hike up a HUGE hill to this cache. We made relatively quick work of it and very much enjoyed the view. We had hoped to grab a cache in Dunedin, but after stopping at Speights and a few other breweries on the tour, didn't have enough time. TFTC!
Quick find today with Greenie333 while visiting from the USA! We got off the cruise ship and had to grab some caches! We only had about an hour before our tour and made a run for some other caches in town. Even so early in the morning there were muggles about so we decided to trek up the hill. Made the quick find and headed back to the boat. TFTC!
Found while in Dunedin for a mates 30th on a horribly wet day - TFTC never would have known this was here
First cache in NZ, straight off the Sun Princess. Not too much opportunity for caching on a cruise ship, so was glad to log this one with a nice view first up. Thanks.
Found today by Mr & Mrs 1SR at 1155. Had to return to this due the muggles about. What a lookout, excellent views. A quick easy find.

Guwapo and Papa picked Mama up after she completed the half marathon walk. Seemed a shame to wwaste a trip to Port Chalmers without doing a cache. Thanks for the cache!!
A fantastic lookout and lovely area. Once we looked around the correct mast found it easily.
Great spot, especially in Summer when the cruise ships visit. No idea what was going through the artists mind when creating those statues, but they're definitely different.
TFTC!
Interesting spot with a few tourists around. Paper inside the cache is mouldy
