I was grabbing whatever I could in Brisbane this morning after an event and before a drink based reunion. This was one of the successful finds. Tftc and UTV
A day out in the city was spent chasing a plethora of lab caches by bike, and there were a few other caches tacked on as we passed nearby. The city isn't a hive of scum and villainy, but the pungent aroma of stale urine and cigarette smoke sure gets old pretty quick.
Wasn't sure of the hide location until I saw the geotrail. Easy find but the grab was like getting a toy out if a skilltester! All good here.

*Scrabble - St John's cathedral* signed at 11:03 and cache returned as found. Thanks for bringing us here **thefourbees**. This log is trackable, mention where you saw it.

Had to wait out some muggles initially during their lunch break. Went to woolies and had a little picnic lunch myself! Crafty little nook this is in... took some finagling to get it out. SL TFTC
Thanks thefourbees for the cache. It’s #1269 for us. We found your cache on 24 February 2020. Took a few circuits but the clue was spot on and then I had to extract it . Nice hide in full view of every muggle in town!
I was in Brisbane for work for a few days, and finally, late on Friday afternoon, I was heading down to the station to jump on a train to the airport when I stopped to check my phone to be sure I was actually heading to the station. I happened to stop by a park with a fabulous Fig tree in it, and I was admiring it and I was thinking that it would be a cool treeclimb cache hiding spot, and then I thought, I wonder, lets have a look - and yep, there was a cache right by.
I circled the tree, and spotted a well worn geopath which led me to the GZ, and to a well camouflaged container, from which I extracted and signed the log.
Somehow, I've never found a Queensland cache before, so this is a first, and a new state badge.
Thanks thefourbees, for placing and maintaining this cache - it's been a bonus for me!

I arrived on the Queen Elizabeth cruise ship. I was expecting to cache elsewhere, but the ship didn't berth where I thought it would and we were bused into the city for the day. So without having pre checked the caches I set out to find some.
I guessed where this might be hidden, but first I checked some other places, as I dreaded making a geo-trail. Finally I walked around the object and there found a rather obvious geo-trail to GZ, so made the find. I needed a stick to retrieve the cache.
Then I had a nice iced coffee in a nearby cafe. TFTC thefourbees.

I can see it but can’t get it without some sort of tool - and even then it would be difficult. Suspect it has slipped down beyond where it is intended to be
Called in at the cathedral as part of a lab cache before heading across the road to this one. Found as described in a peaceful park. TFTC.
Desperate times calls for desperate measures. I waited all day for the rain to go to come and get this cache. With no break in the rain I decided to make a move. And easy find under the umbrella. TFTC
TFTC smile out and about with Brislions on a wet day ? Went to Brisbane to do a few earthcaches and virtuals started late because of rain ended up a good day
Thank you, thefourbees, for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

Out today with my geobuddy Grannysmith1947 to get more virtual for her.
My goal today was pick up 3 virtual but with the weather end up being only two. A trip into the city to do the new library one on UQ for the other. And pickup
A few others. The total ended up as 2 virtual, 8 traditional, a mystery, Earthcache and finish of a Adventure Lab and started a new Adventure lab. Got three locations done. Had go to Lang Park park but there was traffic restrictions on with Roar playing. Cops everywhere.
Sorry for the generic post.
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. TFTC *430* streak. *2657* Finds

*** COs- I'm still trying to catch up on a significant logging backlog stretching back a number of years. It started as a series of unfortunate events and went from there. Please note that I'm logging on the day I visited your cache. Apologies for the very late log. ****************************************In town today with hatzofff, RoddyC for a breakfast event by gridge98 from South Australia. We teamed up with him and a few others afterward to do some CBD caches, including a Canadian couple, caro_mello and Canadian Jack Hammer. We signed the log and as the sprinklers came on at GZ young Jack offered to get soaked on our behalf and return the cache. He was well rewarded for his gallantry as he came skipping back with a $50 note in his hand that he'd found in the greenery!I drive past here from time to time and still have a chuckle over Jack's lucky fnd here and our fun day out.TFTC??
On a holiday to Queensland to meet up with gridge98 for a few days and travel around the country side checking out new places and also collect a few caches along the way.
Apologies for the generic log.

It was an extremely hot day. But a great geocaching day

As we were completing the lab caches around the city as a group we stopped by this cache to make a find.
Apart from the large amount t if water that was coming out at GZ the cache was soon found and I was drenched. $50 was also found as some SWAG on the ground near here
On a holiday to Queensland to meet up with my two younger brothers (JL Rockstar) for a holiday/caching trip, a 4 day adventure that started with some disasters but slowly got better throughout which ended on a high.
Travelling up to tin can bay and Gympie, our to Kilroy and south west out to Ipswich.
Overall a great trip away with a total of 79 finds excluding the almost 50 labs found.
Thanks for the cache and it’s placement.

Finding it was pretty straight forward, narrow fingers were needed to get it out and the do we prevailed. TFTC.
Prayed in the church that we would find this box, and lo and behold we did. Power of Christ !
Awesome, thank you, found this, was pretty easy to find harder to get out, great location, took us through the city to places we had not been before.
See it but cant be reached easily. Tried a few times and we managed to get it
Thank you for the cache and bringing us here! Nice park! Found with legocacher79.

Found today with Eldritch. It was difficult to extract but we got there in the end. Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC
Quickly found the location but getting the cache out wasn’t so easy. Fingers weren’t going to work so had to resort to using 2 sticks that I found on the ground nearby.
Quick find in the dark with a little help from a gecko. Sad to see a homeless man sleeping on the bench. TFTC
Phat phingers made this one difficult to extract, but previous experience meant that I now carry bamboo chopsticks in the caching kit and they did the job. I grabbed this one after a visit to the magnificent cathedral. It was interesting to see the Brisbane one after seeing so many on our UK trip. It " stacks up" against those we saw overseas!
Easily found. I take the Trackable for a travel with me. Maybe it goes to Sydney, Melbourne or in Switzerland!

Lovely native bees in the area. We followed the grotesque straight to GZ. Luckily we were muggle free this morning.
This one was a bit tricky to grab with a couple of muggles sitting close by. I waited for a bit to see if they would leave but they were settled in and showed no signs of going anywhere any time soon. So, it was time to come up with a different plan of attack. I’m totally positive I looked completely inconspicuous and not weird at all, taking close up photos of the tree and bark while I hunted! Luckily it was a quick find, and I shimmied the cache out of its hiding place without too much trouble. Thanks for placing!
I love turning DNFs into smileys - even more so when it's 1600 kms from home! How did I miss this one the last time I was here?! tftc - great to be back in Qld even for a day
During my three weeks in Australia I got plenty of time to spend for my favorite hobby. There are some geocaches, which could be grabbed easily, but most of them are like all typical city caches - you have to be patient and wait for the muggles to disappear. Somehow I managed to find them.
Many thanks to all the owners for hiding and maintenance of their containers.

I'd say there's a bit of a geotrail to this one, but it seems others are attracted to the GZ too. I do like this square, thank you for binging me back after a long hiatus. Also please accept a unicorn stamp in lieu of a date and name, I've recently had surgery on my dominant hand!

I have a pretty good idea of where to look but after sitting for over 30 minutes the 2 muggle guards win. It looks like they have no intention of leaving & I feel that I need lunch or I will collapse before they leave. Will have to return some other time
Hello from Denmark . Just found this one on my way out of town, gotta have your daily cache Tftc.
Found it. Thanks. This was my very first geocaching adventure. Sadly I didn’t have a pen to add my name to the book...
Out on an afternoon walk around the CBD before flying out tonight.
Wow, that took a good 3min to extract! Quickly spotted but with fat fingers its a nightmare to get out. Phew.
Thanks for placing a cache here. Glad to have been able to find a few while here on a two day work trip from Perth. TFTC

Quick walk from work. Cache was easily found. Rainy weather meant less muggles

I had to wait for a view muggles to move, but then managed to get the container out quite easily thanks to slender fingers.

My third and final night in Briabane and shorter stroll than the other night. Been a big day of meetings in the city, so a little wiry, but the fresh air did me some good. Thanks for the little adventure, has been fun exploring the city and managed to save a few cache for next time! Chunky fingers didnt help!
Out doing some night caching. I found the container easily, but getting it was a little more challenging. I eventually got it and signed the log. TFTC thefourbees.
Many muggles at lunch time but they ignore the invisible geocachers. A dead rat nearby... TFTC
Had a few hours to spare on our last day in Brisbane so finding a few caches in order.
The extraction of this one is certainly a challenge and I managed to get the container out with the use of a pen and a couple of fingers.
hide Is in full view of muggles from all directions so stealth is pretty much impossible and requires traversing garden plants for access.
Thanks for the cache

#4379:
Having a stroll through a different part of Central Brisbane is my loose plan for the day. I'm on my way to Story Bridge, and stopped off here to see the cathedral.
I too thought this a slightly odd place, BUT no one was around to hinder my search. I followed the cacher's trail and quickly spotted it. The hardest part was trying to get it out of the tight gap. TFTC.

Total distance walked today - 15.76 km.

Our first Cache found after a few years. Great location, pretty obvious ridding the reviews.
I am staying in Brisbane for a training course, and decided to take a late night stroll to find some caches after sitting down all day.
At GZ, there was a lot of scuttling around in the undergrowth and some food containers so I wonder if there were a few rats enjoying a feast. It took me quite some time to extract the geocache from its hiding place but managed it in the end with the help of a stick.
Lovely looking little cathedral at night too.

Touring Australia from Kalamazoo,Michigan, USA. Spent a few days in Cairns. Got into Brisbane this afternoon. Out grabbing a few target caches. A couple target caches not available due to availability and no day light. Enjoyed walking around this downtown taking in the sights. Photos attached where needed, answers following were expected.
