There isn't any place to hide a decent size cache here, so I am freeing this area up for others to use.
Checked cache after a DNF. Cache is missing, sorry for the inconvenience. I will re-instate in the near future.
Solved this ages ago and got the geochecker tick. Unfortunately I didn't manage to find this in a headlamp aided search this evening, breaking my streak of a puzzle cache a day as it ticked past midnight. I guess it pays to be more prepared and not leave things to the last minute, eh?
Solved a few days ago and was in Auckland today to be able to complete the 'paperwork' - TFTC
This has been on my solved list for yonks. Glad to finally knock it off. TFTC.
Solved this one a month or so ago and completed the formalities today while in the area. Loved this little puzzle. Although the area around GZ had recently been tended to (perhaps the council) the cache was still safely in hiding. TFTP and C.
I had solved this ages ago but only just have come out this way today. The hardest part of the puzzle was to find an entrance to the reserve.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
A different kind of puzzle and a delightful stroll to GZ. We were glad a previous logger mentioned being about 10m out as it made for a quick find for us. Took the Viking geocoin and left a Pathtag so PIGO TFTC
Solved many months ago and finally in the area to finish off what we had started. TFTC
Solved the puuzzle then headed off to find the cache in an area I didn't know existed.

Sat down and worked this out this afternoon. Didn't take long at all. Was able to intuitively work out what I needed to do. A good example of not over thinking a problem. Made my way out to the hidden reserve this evening for an easy find. GPS said I was still10+ metres out when I spotted a very likely spot. One grope later and I was signing the log. Cheers for the puzzle!
#1477 (8/8 in the Howick area). Troodles solved this puzzle back in Chch. Nephew Jack and I went out in search of it, and found it with the help of the hint. TFTC.
Close to brother-in-law's place, so was able to squeeze in this last cache of our Auckland trip. StreetWalkerNZ warned me about the treacherous path, not far from the road, made slippery with algae(?), but still nearly came a cropper. Walked more carefully after that! Quick find at final. TFTC.
Once Mrs Oz in NZ got onto the puzzle the solution came easily. With the coords confirmed by geochecker the cache was an easy find. What an interesting little reserve, I wonder if the pathway will ever be extended, seems there is a property in the way. TFTC
Got a solution pretty quickly, and a bit surprised to get the "success" from geochecker. Took a bit of trial and error to find the right accessway to the Hidden Reserve, but eventually we found the perfect spot. No difficulty finding the cache. TFTC.

Surprised with first attempt in Geochecker to see "success". No idea how this was achieved using just pen and paper, no calculator. Never paid attention at school (but there had to have been some education that stuck in my brain to figure this....) so still not sure how the answer happened to be correct. But it was and cache found easily thereafter. Thanks for the puzzle.
Replaced the container with a 500 ml screw top plastic bottle; Hopefully this will be more watertight than the last container. The old log book was in throw-away condition so there is a new log book. (Don't worry Greenblat - I re-entered you as the original FTF)
No problems finding the cache after I worked out the puzzle.
The puzzle was a struggle. The programme I found wouldnt work and I still dont know why, so I tried traditional maths. I must have slept through that day at school (back in the Dark Ages) as I still couldnt get the geochecker to agree. Finally I was put on the right track with the maths by fun2seek ending many hours of frustration at my ancient and non too accurate maths skills..... No, I didnt use a calculator. Yes, I know it would have been easier.
Thanks for the cache and the help.

Found as part of my three week caching trip from Wellington to Auckland - # 930. Thanks.
The hardest thing about this puzzle was finding the
access to GZ. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.
access to GZ. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.
Solved this one last night. Spent a bit of time on Google Earth trying to figure out an entry point into the reserve. Spotted what looked like an open "plot" and sure enough when I go there this morning there was a concrete walkway on the spot identified. Quick stroll to GZ and a quick find. GC out GC in. TFTC
Was within a meter on June the 9th, but it was just too dark, and my GPS was about 5m off in the only direction that would stop me looking
re-worked out the clue today, walked in, grabbed it, walked out.

It took a bit longer than expected to get this back up - sorry about that. But it's dry and clean again and I have also dropped in a coin "In the Mood for Racing"
Did a maintenace check while in the area. Auckland's wet winters are not kind to caches. Will dry out the sodden mess and replace shortly.
Found at 5pm. Have lived in the area for a few years now, and was already planning a multi for this reserve, before we decoded it and found another one in there! Can't wait until they are finished the plans for it! TNLN TFTC!
This one was the closest to home on my to-do- list.
Nice reserve, finding an entrance was the hardest part.
Nice walk after work.

Quick solve at home and then straight to GZ by a way found on a previous trip to the area.
Big changes to come sometime in the future.

Enjoyable little walkway, once we found the way in, straightforward puzzle and find.

Quick solve of the puzzle, Quick walk, and there it was.
There look to have been quite a few recent changes here.
Exited by a way known to few, but a very nice way to complete the walk.

Couldn't go to bed with an unresolved puzzle in mind... then couldn't resist the opportunity to try the new headtorch once the puzzle was cracked.
This reserve really is hidden, and had to drive almost a complete circle, reverting to using an entrance that was furthest from the cache but that I had known about previously.
Some interesting works going on here - obviously bigger plans afoot for this reserve.
Cache quickly located - took the FTF certificate thanks!
Thanks for the challenge Fun2seek - this one was fun.
