A cool and fun day of caching around the Central Tablelands. This cache was a straightforward find in the obvious location. Container and log in good condition. Interesting spot! Thanks!
An enjoyable long weekend caching with friends around the Southern Tablelands.Quick find in a beautiful location. TFTC Smelly_Boot!
Found with Zigzoggy and Barbie_OCE. Nice and easy. Needed to reach up to grab it. TFTC!!
Our first full day in Orange, and a chance to do some serious caching. We had quite a number of pre-solved caches on our agenda as well as others in the area. Our journey took us through a range of different sections of the town; residential, business, retail and some great parks and wetlands areas. We encountered some good hides which we awarded favorites as well as some challenges and straightforward finds. The weather was perfect but as usual got cold all of a sudden later in the day.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Smelly Boot.**SKI Pair****
Nice easy find - good to see cache is still here and been here since 2012! Thanks for this one
Catching up with late logs.We are traveling with Geoturtle 37, Papi4506 & The Drovers to do an assault on Bathurst and surrounds. We solved all the puzzles we could before we left home which was also an enjoyable part of this journey. We had a great time here in the Orangearea finding all types of cache sizes and hides but unfortunately we have got behind in our logging and are trying to catch up now.We can no longer remember the caches individually so we apologize for the generic log, it's certainly not meant to take anything away from our experience, it's just the old minds just ain't what they used to be.We signed the logs as The Mob.Many thanks for adding this piece to the game board for our enjoyment.
Day 3 of our Bathurst trip with Team Crackers, Geoturtle37 & Papi4506.Today we did a lot of country driving, and included Orange in our travels. The scenery was lovely with the trees turning a multitude of different colours for winter. All puzzles were solved before the trip. This is one of the caches we stopped to find along the way.A quick search and the cache was located, signed and replaced. Many thanks for placing this cache, Smelly Boot, for us and others to find.
A quick find here, cache is all goodHeaded over to the Capital GeoBash in Canberra, ACT with Freddo over 5 days, travelling through the central part of NSW before caching around the hinterlands. A nice few days over with great weather. Thanks for the cache
Quick find here. Thanks for the cache. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza, e_smilie, and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Adelaide to Broken HillDay two. Broken Hill to WellingtonDay three. Wellington to CowraDay four. Cowra to BathurstDay five. Bathurst to CanberraDay six. Canberra to CanberraDay seven. Canberra to QueenbeeyanDay eight. Canberra to AdelaideThe generic bit.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. A very easy find (but forgot the pen as usual). TFTC. The kids found a tree to climb on the way as well. Very peaceful place.
A few days away in Orange, visits to wineries and some Geocaching. An ideal mix of activities for the Atalantas.

Quick find following hint. Actually had me thinking for a bit though.
This was a long day as I was out with Irondale and Malfromthefarm scouting out places to hide caches and also cleaning up our map radius for smileys before I headed onto Orange for work the next day. We had an early morning for the FTF on the Portland history, a coffee and a scone with jam and cream for brekkie. Then lunch was fried chicken and chippies and a doughnut for a snack. No wonder I’m finding it hard to fit into the car!!!
At some point I managed to get up to 10000 steps so maybe I burnt off jut a scone? TFTC

Not great for shorties but with the help of a stick we found it. Staying at RMH nearby so finding one close was special!

On a trip to Dubbo for a long weekend away from Canberra. It's been a while since I've managed a geo-trip so it's good to be on the road again. It's also very hot, days on the mid 30's are hard going. First stop is Cowra, then Canowindra, Molong and Wellington. I returned via Orange and Crookwell for a bit of variety.
The building is a bit decrepit these days.
Thanks Smelly Boot

We parked near the soccer fields and walked the loop to collect the Gnoo Blas caches and a few other ones along the way. We found 14 caches altogether and only had one DNF. There was a great variety of containers and hides and we thoroughly enjoyed the walk. The whole circuit took two and half hours although we did sit by the lake for a while and had some morning tea.

Nice area and a relatively quick find. Fav point for this one for location. TFTC
Had a good look. Open the windows to let some breeze in. Sat down and looked and nothing for me today. Tftc
We moved to Macquarie Woods today from Bathurst as it is such a lovely place to camp. We enjoyed our geocaching between here and Orange. So green now after the recent rain and we loved the scenery and history.. Nice hide. Thanks to Smelly Boot for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
A big day of caching between Orange and Wellington and back. Great weather, able to squeeze in a parkrun as well and caches were all found straight forward.

Apologies for the late logging and cut 'n' paste but now Mr & Mrs Castoff are back in the UK at the same time we're catching up on the Geocaching adventures. We took hundreds of photographs but were too busy looking at stunning scenery across NSW and New Zealand to make copious notes. Beautiful part of the world. SL. TFTC.
6 now for Orange we are loving this part of Orange and thank you for being us here Cheers
Our 5 year old son was booked in for an operation at Bloomfield Health Campus (amazing staff and such great hospitality) and we were to spend a few days in Orange. We drove down from Dubbo and spent the day waiting and then finally he was in and out of the operating theatre and off to the kids ward. With a few days recovery before we could get home and not bringing the golf clubs (play more of this than geocaching these days) for the course next door i used a bit of time here and there to get a few caches while in town. Also visited a few trackables ive currently got with me.
The closest cache to the hospital i got today. Thanks Smelly Boot. Love the history around here.

In town visiting my Dad in Law who worked at Bloomfield for 40 years TFTC
I was just down the road for work this morning and unfortunately we ran over time so I didn’t have time for the Gnoo Blas series. Hopefully I’ll need to visit again. But I had to get at least one cache today so I thought this was a nice short walk and quick find.
Its always a shame to see buildings that are kept for their historic value but money isn’t spent on maintaining. The broken glass was a bit disconcerting but once I got over that I soon had the cache in hand. A nice relaxing cache with a great story, good to have this as one of my two smileys on the map of Orange.

Lots of glass from smashed windows but found by ‘A’. Signed log. TNLN Thanks for this cache.
Hatzofff and I are in Bathurst for a few weeks house sitting, and of course have time for lots of caching. Today we decided to visit Orange.
Removed one out the full log sheets as it was making it difficult to replace the lid.
Log signed and replaced on June 14, 2019 at 4:03 PM. TFTC, Smelly Boot.

Caching to day will take us to the Orange area.
Quick easy find. Glad some of the artifacts are still in place.

First find in orange this time while staying in the Western Care Lodge.
Thanks.
Thanks.
On the home straight to 1000 so have an hour spare to try and finish it in Orange before we head to a few busy days in Sydney. Also get to listen to the cricket in between.
Don’t go here without shoes! Not many dots to hide - ignore the used syringe container and quickly found

Tftc. Great hide but such a shame to see so much vandalism here. The ground was covered in broken glass from the smashed windows.
Nice quick find with kiwisteve2 and drobbonz. Nice walk across the campus as the road is now torn up and not drivable. Checked out the kangaroos hanging about under the trees. Here from Portland Oregon (home of the original stash). TFTC.
Quick grab while in the area with drobbonz and bdp. Walked past the kangaroos and dodged the golfers. TFTC.
We identified GZ before we arrived there and once inside there was really only one place this cache could be hiding. Yes, that is exactly where it was. The log was duly signed and the cache was put back where we had found it. Thank you for showing us a different area and thank you for placing this cache for us and other cachers to find.

Linden/6 & Immyky, heading from Brisbane to ACT, following a few windmills along the way.
It would NOT be right to ignore all the caches en-route! LOL ...
Day 3, Orange to Goulburn.
Our 48th cache on this trip.
Wow!
Cobweb city!
Thankfully a quick find!
I'm not a great lover of getting down & dirty with so many spiders & webs. (shudder!)
All good here.
Left our mark & replaced as found.
