Had a long hard look for it but did not find it. BUT the GPS accuracy was 20 metres so it made it pretty hard. Looked in many (what I thought were "natural" treasure boxes ) but came up empty.
based on the previous log - needs maintenance for a new log book - if its still there? Thanks
A nice cache in a nice location. But the logbook is wet and needs maintanance.

Went for a walk in the woods. The Kauri are incredible. TFTC From N. Ireland
We are on our second caching holiday in New Zealand. This was our first find for the day. We parked in the car park nearby and walked in towards GZ. There was nobody around, so no worries with muggles. We spotted a possible likely hiding spot and there it was. Nice hide without disturbing the bushland. TNLNSL TFTC
Surprised to find a cache appearing on my gps after doing this little trail. Great area, done it in the rain.

Had to search in the rain for this one as the GPS was a bit off. Finally found it then had a lovely walk around the reserve. Took Canada geocoin to move it on. TFTC.
While having a five weeks' holiday, we also want to collect a number of caches.
On our way to Kaitaia we a.o. found this one. Really impressive to see some of these massive kauri trees! TFTC.

29-03 9th find of the day at 16:09 and 1273rd find in total.
Found the cache nice and easy after taking some pictures of the bumble bees in the carpark but we were surprised that it is also a postcard swap cache. We had just sent our last Easter Island postcards off a couple of days ago and had none to swap.
(''\(OoO)/'') Thanks MYTROX for the caching fun!

Spent a night on the DOC campsite. In rained quite a lot in the evening why we didn't go on a kiwi night tour. Otherwise it was a nice visit in the Kauri Park. TFTC.

Finally found it in the natural treasure box - took mini green peg, left mini paua kiwi. tftc
Lovely forest walks, but after about 5 minutes of looking we had to move on.
First attempt on finding a Geocache in NZ failed The park is well worth a visit! TFTC
Searched a long time till we found the cache. We was irritaded from hint because in Germany it would have a compleat other meaning.
Anyway, the cache is in good condition. We was there in the late afternoond and decided to visit the park in the next morning. It was really impressing what we saw there. Thanks for showing that place.

Beautiful park and really enjoyed it. Just loved the "Natural treasure box." Do wonder for how long this will last.
We found this cache last year, but we forgot to record it. I remember it was a lovely walk, but it was lightly raining. Mr ER went out to find kiwis with a red paper over his torch - he didn't find any.

A very busy little part of the world despite being a wee bit off the beaten track. Stopped for lunch and then had a thorough search and came up with nothing. Very disappointed!
Thought this might be hard to find, going by the previous logs, but we quickly spotted the nice hide. Had to bide our time while a family walked by before we could retrieve the cache. Had a bit of an explore before we travelled on. Looks like a nice place. Thanks for showing us.

came in from the camp end, canopy proved too tough for the gps and heavy rain called a halt to play, had a jolly good search though.....
Took a little while to locate. A splendid hiding place. No trade. Enjoyed the park, including a night walk on Tuesday. Well worth the effort, but sad about the dying kauri trees. Please protect our environment by staying on the paths and cleaning shoes before going into other forests.

Had a great walk around the park after locating the cache. Pity we didn't come prepared to go Kiwi-spotting later on. TFTC
Spent some time exploring this park about 5 years ago and was very impressed. Quick trip this time being on a caching mission. TFTC
Nice find, have seen the signs for this park on the way past before but have never taken the time to have a look. TFTC
Maintenance check, All is well!
Found a geo coin under the container, so will log that.

Quickly found, Looks like a nice spot, will be back here sometime to explore all these tracks
We found this cache with no problems or reading any thing about it. Coords got us close and we just though, no it wouldnt be there would it and sure there it was. Thanks for bringing us out this way and TFTC
We had just been on the kiwi/glow worm walk on the night before, so we went to look at the park during the day. I highly recommend the kiwi walk to anyone going to stay at the top ten kauri park campground, it is great fun.
Nice to come back to the park for a quick find after the walk through here in the dark last night. TFTC.
Found this one, nice spot. Pretty easy once our GPS started to co-operate! No sign of the TB or coin tho..... TFTC! Team Hudson.
1.15pm. Good to come back to this spot where we camped a few times when the girls were young. A beautiful reserve. Birdsong tremendous. No difficulty with the find.

4.35pm. A quick find. We wonder how long the hiding place will remain intact? Thank you. David and Noeline.
gaah! why did not bring the clue?! wandered back and forth on the wrong side several times, but finally turned around and saw the obvious place. Great spot.
Looking forward to returning to Trounson when I have more time to explore!
Thanks

All ready to go in a new location.
I have found out that the original cache was left out just under the bridge not where the hiding place was. The cleaning lady had seen it, but left it there....so must of been seen by muggles

Great place for a cache, MYTROX took us here for a Night-walk, but we found the cache with not too much trouble.
The park is wonderfull, we heard Kiwi and saw loads of interesting night creatures. On our way back to Pooks cottage (were we have been staying on our visit to NZ) we were lucky enough to see a Kiwi right on the side of the road.
I highly reccomend this as a night cache.

A FTF to celebrate our 350th cache! It's our first FTF in New Zealand. We have been geocaching here for 7 weeks and found 170 Kiwi caches so far. A few times we were close to a FTF (second). But this one was quite a surprise. We didn't know that the cache was new till we had the empty log book in our hands.
We enjoyed the walk through the Trounson Kauri Park very much. It's better than the walks to the famous trees in the Waipoua Forest. And far less crowded as a bonus. TFTC.
