Disappointing read the sign worked all answers but cache isn't anywhere to be found lovely view needs quite a bit of cleaning up around the area.
Read the sign carefully, put in the coords and off we went. Like a previous cacher found the burnt out area but no sign of the cache. Either well hidden or muggled. Off to visit the Warrick Homestead TFT hunt and the info
Out with Wozzle68 and frog_lady
on our way to Mount Gambier for the Geozing Race tomorrow.
Found the nice view but not the cache
We had to DNF your cache Henty's Muntham on 25/10/2014 11:19 am. We searched but didn't find the cache today so this cache is a DNF for me.

This was an interesting multi. At WP1 we learnt a little about the early history of the area. The comparison between the times of the arrival of John Batman ands Henty was particularly interesting. We were pleased with the comment in the cache description about the distance between WP1 and GZ, otherwise we would have doubted our calculations. As we approached GZ we became a little apprehensive as the whole area had been nurnt, probably from a controlled burn. GZ had been burnt but, to our relief, the cache was intact and good condition (although a plastic bag placed on top of the cache had partialyy melted). The views from this location were quite impressive. Thanks Beaker for an interesting and enjoyable multicache.
#5 of 20 on a roadtrip with ThePacMan.
After arriving and seeing that we were heading in the right direction to GZ, we took down the answers and headed for GZ

Find 5 of 20 on a roadtrip with CT_ZA.
Fortunately we were heading in the "right" direction to pick up the cache at GZ after gathering the required info at WP1.
Find at the familiar GZ was quick, but surprisingly there many muggles around at this time.
TNLN.
Thanks for the cache, Beaker.

inscription hard to read in bad light for older eyes. Must have got it right as GPS spot on .Citty Cat did great job with GPS for first time being only 8 years old. TFTC Left pen took nothing.
I do enjoy a good multi. This one was no exception. Gpsr was spot on and G/son helped to find.Tftc,tnln. Henty was a busy man.

Heading to Casterton, for the afternoon, stopped for this cache on the way. Thanks for a quick break in the drive beaker. Great views at cache hide. sl tnln tftc
A slow trip across to Mt Gambier with Bettyboo3747, lots of diving to be done.
We did our calculation, and wondered at the distance we were to travel. We should have read the description a bit closer!
Fortunately it was in the direction we were travelling, so off we went.
Great views across the hills between the two points.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 2795. Robmc and I were travelling between Melbourne and Mount Gambier today and this was one of several caches collected along the way. We had a nice variety of hides and not many micros, which was wonderful.
I am surprised that this one has only been found 38 times in 4 years. That is a shame. Maybe everyone is like me- I don't like multis much. We should have read the bit on the page about GZ being 10kms westwards, but at least it was on the highway, which was a good sign. Off we drove admiring the rolling hills and golden paddocks along the way. Whoo hoo, GZ was looking promising as we pulled off the road. Rob soon made the find. Took: Dragon TB, Left: US Flag Micro GC. TFTC

After an overnight stop at the waterless Wannon Falls, we continued our westward journey toward the Big Little Event with the Pprass team. Having collected all the info at the cairn, it certainly helped the next 10kms pass quickly to seek out the view.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt -Beaker-.

Found at 12:37 PM GAFF5 in the company of Phetlern. After a very scrappy episode at the marker, the correct co-ords were calculated and the cache was found along our way. The views were majestic indeed.
Thanks -Beaker-
Thanks -Beaker-
Gee the font on that sign is awfully small. Felt like 9 size in the wind and the rain. Nearly reached for the magnifiers. Interesting story and a quick find once at GZ. Thankfully I was going the right way. Thanks for the fun.
Promise I did not leave a plastic dinosaur! Thanks to -Beaker- and clear skies from TeamAstro.
On a previous drive I got the co-ords, or thought I did. Now heading home from Melbourne decided to try for it. I knew pretty well straight away that I didn't have the coordinates correct when it pointed me to the middle of a paddock. We drove to a likely looking lookout but it was like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Maybe next time.
Maybe next time.
Worked this out on the Sunday but I was travelling the wrong way. Got the cache today and my co-ordinates must have been correct as I went straight to the cache. TFTC
Travelling from Melbourne to Penola and only 6 caches to show, obviously a rushed trip.
Had the GZ to this worked out last Friday and a trip the other way, picked up on the way back. Nice view.

Nice multi on a very foggy morning, however cache in hand pretty quick. SL TNLN TFTC
We stopped at the starting point not knowing a multi was there. Looked it up on the iphone and once multi was done, drove to co-ord's and then in the dark started looking for this cache, great night time views of township. GPS had us not too close to where we ended up finding it, but clue put us in the right area and soon had it found. Well, ok, geowife had it found, I was looking in the wrong spot! TFTC SL
My first cache yay! Nice walk, took us a while to find but found it eventually with grizzlegreedigut and purplepig56 ( my geocaching companions) TFTC!
The first cache ever found for myself, PurplePig56 (Apocalypse Apple on the note) and Cherry Rainbow. Relatively easy to locate, a nice walk. We took the Army Man and left Mickey Mouse. Thanks for the cache.
#1333 Found with the assistance of DazzPete - we had the co-ords close but managed to buggar up one number somehow. Great views and history. TFTC Beakers Bunch
Great views, the Hentys sure had a great expanse of land to settle. Great views SL TFTC
also a bit unsure if we had the last clue correct, but right on the co-ords we found GZ.... yay:) performed a metamorphosis - took caterpillar TB and left butterfly badge... TFTC, mandikaye

Finally got around to logging this one after bungling up the coords about 6 months ago. A great little multi showing off some locak history and great views. Thanks.
Quickly stopped by to check cache.
Container looking pretty average, with a damp logbook.
Replaced container. Also added a TB.
Cheers

Time to tick one off in the old stomping grounds of geoD.
Reading the description geoD had a fair idea where this one would be located, especially as he was thinking of placing a cache there.
After completing our calculations the resulting waypoint was where geoD had thought it would be. We were a little worried about our calc on the last digit but figured the two options we had would not be too far apart from each other.
When we arrived at the indicated GZ we found a couple of likely geoLads already parked at the lookout. We waited for them to leave before we made the attempt. We weren't sure the hide would be at our first set of co-ords so tried in other likely spots first. In the end geoD went back to where our original calc indicated it would be and there it was!

Now off to hide a cache of our own.

Taking Super Pop to Naracoorte for the night and picking up a few caches on the way this was the seventh for the day. There are a lot of road works happening around wpt1 and after the recent rains we had to navigate a bit of mud to get to the plaque. We collected the information and did the calculations and headed off to gz. Once there we knew that we had done something wrong as our co-ords had us at a scenic lookout but about 50 meters into the paddock. We tried all the likely looking spots where we thought that it might be but with no luck. A phone call to Beaker confirmed that we were in the right area and with his kind help the cache was soon in hand
Thanks Beaker for the cache and for the assistance

One I should have done along time ago whilst visiting parents in Casterton, finally done TNLN
We tried to do this one a few weeks ago but a fellow cacher foiled our attempt - little did we know at the time. Loved the puzzle and always happier once finally found TFTC
Found by Mary & David at 1645. Delighted to have a cache here. Even though we were heading home, it was still well worth the detour. Mary has memories of the Muntham hill as a child, heading to Mt Gambier to visit grandparents in the old family Dodge. She would almost hold her breath on the way up, hoping the car would make it to the top. Loved the history here, and the views. Our thanks to Beaker once more.
It took me a couple of minutes to sort out the requiired information from the fading plaque, but I soon enough had some likely coordinates All was well at GZ as the cache was in the first place I looked. Thanks Beaker.
Found today at10;20 on a trip to Mt gambier, tried this one before but got the sums wrong, wasn't that far out. nice view. Thanks.
Gathered the info, continued on to Melbourne, dropped in to complete this cache on the way home. Quick sign then on our way.

Found at 4.30pm on our way home to Seymour.
We had found the clues some months earlier on a previous trip.
This time we stopped at GZ for an easy find.
Just in time for a rain shower to hit us.
An interesting piece of history and good views.

I always assumed Henty was one of those explorer types, constantly roaming the west of Victoria
Seems he was more the stay at home type and once he found a home out this way, he stayed
But as the plaque says, if you're the first in an area then you are bound to get things named after you
So with the history lesson over, I hopped back in the geomobile and continued westward ho !!
At another fine view the cache was soon to hand
TFTC and journey today.
I left Bunya's Roadrunner geocoin by the side of the highway.

We were stunned to find we've driven past this cache once or twice when it was unfound; we just assumed it'd been found by the time we arrived and didn't go out of our way! A good multi, too; we've driven this way literally scores of times in the last few years and didn't realise what we were passing. So we're happy to take silver on this one! TFTC Beakers Bunch.

Great place for a cache, brilliant views from here, I've stopped here a couple of times before to admire the outlook.
Surprisingly this cache has survived for almost 2 months without a find.
I found it after a couple of minutes of searching , but it was a long way from where the GPS was pointing.
Thanks again Beaker
