Logs
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Whoops, should have checked previous logs. Spotted these guys at GZ. Still warm!
Okay, after watching these logs and having a friend new to geocaching NOT find this cache i thought i would go and take a look-see this afternoon. I've 'found' the cache on three different occasions, and know 'Metal-Art' has been there a number of times as well (visiting with other geocachers). I've also visited a month or so ago and the cache wasn't there then, and wasn't there today! Well, not in the form or place i originally found it. I'm not convinced the previous 'found' log is genuine. I'll contact the CO to discuss options ... seems a terrible shame to archive this one ... but something should happen.
Why is this cache still enabled? No one has found it since Oct 2012! and the only logs since have been DNFs. Just adding mine to the growing list.
noted that previous logs could not locate but decided to have a look anyway. The hint was GREAT! & we were obviously in the write place based on other logs that had found it, but unfortunately we could not locate it. May need to be checked.
Had a good look around hint item, found some toys that may have been swaps, and some zip-lock bags lying around, no sign of cache. Time to fix or archive.
Searched for this today but no luck. Metal-art who had found it before had a look & said it was missing
Nice and easy, but well hidden? Nice to see such a large cache , wish i had some trackables to leave behind.
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
Visiting family in Wellington and decided today was going to be a LOTR film site location caching day as we had already found Weta Cave and Travel Bug's Wraith Refuge earlier this weekend.
Quick find, TFTC, found with 2kiwis.com

Applescrumble and I had come for a brief look for this one last weekend but were running late for a birthday party so didn't hunt as widely as we should have. Back with Mr Orsome4some this morning who made it look easy. What a fabulous specimen that must have been (and I'm not talking about Mr O!)

Travel bug drop. Didn't see any other trackables.
Seemed like an appropriate spot in Middle Earth.

First geocache visit, found The Kiwi travel bug with caligulanz.very excited family! Quickly addicted
Our very first Geocache ... and we found a 'trackable'! Nice and easy ... and close to home. A great start to this addictive hobby. Trackable taken on a journey with Scout troop for the weekend, cycling over the Rimutaka Incline, visiting other caches, and then kayaking the Ruamahanga River, visiting more caches in the Wairarapa.
Nice easy find on a good day.
TFTC!
When I was there I didnt see any travel bug. Although I didnt realise there was one in the cache at the time!

This was our 2nd time visiting this awesome cache. While there we dropped off a TravelBug!
A nice little hidden surprise after an initial hiccup when GPS device sent me 5Om off course.
An easy find once we were at the GZ, after reading all the clues. Took a GC virgin along for her first GC, now she is hooked too. Also took along The Brooklyn Monkey TB for a visit, and he found a friend Tweety TB whom he will now take on his travels with him.

It's interesting to find all of the places touched by the movies.
Quick find once at GZ.

A quick find this evening. I'm sure that in its day the hint object would have dwarfed most others others around it. Thanks for bringing me to this nice location. TFTC
What a great place for a cache even muggles can't see you.
Dropped off TB Silver Emperor. Hope he finds his way to China

Felt like a Hobbit next to the hint object, especially as I too was on a quest - to log my 800th find before the arrival of 2012 - but was soon moving on to my next destination. Nice to see such a large container in play.
parked right beside the area for a quick find

Randomly ended up out here with friends so checked iPhone and found a cache nearby... it would be rude not to! SL TFTC
A short holiday with my wife to this wonderful land NZ over from Australia to do some sightseeing and to catch with my mate Dunko who has been moved over here for work. We plan to do the crossing many times, enjoyed doing the cache. Thanks for the cache, made our mark..
Slink1 and co came over from Australia to do some sightseeing and to cache. A trip to the burbs was in order. Slink1 reckons he'll be back for more. Thanks for the cache made our mark..
The huge stump was a surprise in such a small stand of bush, it must have been one mighty tree.

A very impressive stump this one! Managed to track the cache down soon enough - great to see a nice big container. TFTC!
#379. A quick find on a day where everything went wrong. Once we figured out what area the cache was probably in, we took a look. That is the biggest 'stumped' we've ever seen used for a cache! Spent a few minutes looking... among the virulent cicadas. Found shortly after. Thanks! SL TFTC.
Found while cache hunting with richargr and bkj97. Find 13 of 34 for the day for me. Not unlucky.T4TCSL
No elves but room for them. 13th cache in 65 minutes. On a roll - or is that stump? TFTCSL
A quick find by the youngest member of the family. The kids liked a few items so exchanged a few things. Honours completed on the log and exchanges made, the log was returned to its hide. TFTC
'Tis the season to be jolly, and 'tis the season to be caching
And a jolly good cache this one was....
Mmmmm... interesting, hard to envisage the shores of the Anduin and the departure of the hobbits and accompanying adventurers.
Cache find was reasonably straightforward, all in order, signed log and returned as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Perfectly good place for a cache, but it is interesting comparing Palmerston North caching with Upper Hutt just how much garbage litters the sites of my home town.
Not a difficult find when out with sfortyoner but what scumbags would dump rubbish in the cache area. TFTC.
Found after attending a meeting (and of course doing the cache!) at St John's Church.
Impressive hide and inpressive sized cache. Shame I didn't bring any swaps!
Out Hayley's Buzy Bee Racer, got a good home in mind for it.
TFT excellent C!
(Worth strolling a few metres north up the trail to get some good views of the river. Another regret that I had not brought my camera!)
