Tried unsuccessfully to find this one, and judging by the multiple DNFs, maybe the owner could confirm the status of this cache.
Had a quick look for this one as was in the area chasing other caches.
Like others in the past had no luck.
Like others in the past had no luck.
Had a look for this one but could not find. Co-ords put the cache below recent flooding level. Needs to be checked by owner or previous finder.
Noticed that this one hasn't been found since Sept. 2010.
The Duffman and I still had a crack, but have to agree with other DNF cachers, that this one has been swept away by the recent waters going by the debris.
Owner may want to check on it.

This was the 1st attempt at looking for a cache today for Bribella. Looks like a nice little hide spot but the GPS keep saying that we needed to walk THRU the blackberry bush (that was growing over the tree) - I am adventurous but not that much. Can see the water has run through there in a big way when we had the rains. Unfortunately no luck at this one.

Stopes on to have a look at this one as I have driven past it too many times now. As last log noted it has either been washed away of taken over by the blackberries.
Owner may want to go check this one out and possibly think about moving it above the high level flood line.

Going by the amount of debree around the place, this area has had a lot of water through it recently.
Either
A) cache has been washed away. (the high water mark was about 1.5m above my head when I was standing on the causeway[old road])
or
B) the cache is inside the amazing amount of blackberries that have spouted in the area.

Found on a trip away with Gunnie69 and GIB69. Thanks struggling with the plants on this one
A nice quick find for a trio of Brisbanites on our way from the airport ot the city. Otious and I were focussed in the right area while Gib69 was ruling out the other side... I spotted the container and Otious moved in for the grab... [^] He was not at all happy with the surrounding flora...
Cheers Oakman.

Kath and Kim Find another cache, this was the first cache that we had searched for by using a personal G.P.S. as we hadnt had one B4, It was pretty accurate however after some searching we think that the cache may have been moved slightly off co-ordinates, but not far enough to worry about fixing..Took nothing, Left a blue dice that has been swapped from another location...Thanks
Found whilst caching with Slink1 on another one of our escapades. TFTC SL - Lot of water about.
Nice hide, the creek was flowing nicely today.

Overlooked it initially in an obvious spot but found it shortly thereafter. The creek was in full flow after the rain we've been having the last couple weeks.
found at 16:50 on our way back from Melbourne on a very wet day and what a nice drive through the hills. Have never been that way and i can say it is a lot better going that way than with all the peak hour traffic. Mind you i took a wrong turn but what can i say we had fun

Grabbed this cache on the way past this area and it made me glad that I'd stopped. The creek was full and the birds were out even though it was windy overhead.

It was already dark however I wasn't really prepared for searching caches without light. Turned out that an iPod nano is quite a light-source

Nice little find. I'm guessing this is one of the Mad Max locations tackle_head mentioned as already having a cache.

My #8 of 10 on a "getting closer to the big kilo" expedition with EuDes to the Sunbury area. It was very dark and we had no torches, only the backlights from our Oregons. After about 10 minutes of searching and getting pricked by blackberry brambles, EuDes finally spotted the hide. TNLN.
I'm sure that this area and the bridge would be much more impressive in daylight - thanks Oakman.

This was our last one on our expedition with ssmc4 and we thought we'd give it a burl even though neither of us had thought to bring a torch . Nevertheless, we searched around GZ to no avail and were just about to give it up for another day when a wider search pattern had the stash in hand at 18:45.
TNLNSL, although our night cache geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Oakman.

Found while in the area doing some research.
I drove past this cache in December 2009, as I had a large truck behind me.
So slowing down to stop was not an option.
Today I was able to pull over safely.
Nice pond.

Nice easy find on a Sunday drive. Log book may need replacing as it is full. But the cache has survived the storm. TNLNSL
Found on a big day driving to Western Victoria. Very pleasant spot. Hope it is still secure after the downpour that probably occured in the few hours after we visited. TFTC.
Wow - what a great little corner of the world this is! A very pleasant day to be here, too... very few passing cars, and hills 360 degrees around me. I wandered down to the pond, and wondered if there would be any fish in that murky brownness? Then time to find the cache - as others have noted, the yellow lid made the search very quick. TNLN. Many thanks, I enjoyed this find.
I pulled up here only to find that I did not have the cache loaded into my GPS. I though I'd have a quick look anyway, and happily spotted the cache. The camo on the conatiner worked very well, but was let down a little by the bright yellow lid.
Thanks for the cache.

Would have been interesting to see this area a few days ago when we had the massive storms.
Had the thought in the back of my head that this one may have floated away, but thankfully not.

We found this cache at 8:20pm as the 27th of 28 on our Australia Day Bash 2010. The spot near the old ford was beautiful on a cool evening after a warm day at the cache. We loved the fact that the cache had a strip of camoflage tape around the clear middle part, whilst the bright yellow lid was on full display. Thanks from D, HA, H & A B-A.
Number 2 of 11 on a quick afternoon of caching with my excellent driver - Mrs Iamapom. Nice and easy today. Amazing to see this old road here. Hardest part was jumping over the cable without parting company with the Geo-Jewels.
This was cache # 25 of 43 for the day, on my trip to the Intervening Days II caching event. A nice pond that the ducks seemed to be enjoying. My thanks to Oakman for the cache.
Found, after a long and thorough search of the surrounding area. It turned out the cache was concealed in a place we had searched numerous times without looking proplerly. ouch!

Found by Team Ninja 10.12.09 in the company of Last of the Time Lords and jessica jealousy. This one gave us quite a bit of grief. We searched the whole area for around 30 minutes until I eventually came up with the goods. After the recent rains the creek was well and truly full and almost overflowing the old ford. TNLN, TFTC.
I went totally in the wrong direction, following what I thought was a geotrail, to find myself stuck in blackberries and mud! After backtracking I saw Mr Cheesy Pig staring at GZ and got the message pretty quickly. Nice little area. TNLN thanks!
This was a nice, peaceful little area. Especially after the first few finds under the flight path .
The cache was esily found and in good condition. Took nothing left a pathtag. Thanks Oakman

I had to take an extended tour around Sunbury today to collect some windmill waypoints. I ended up coming past here and TomTom buzzed at me quite unexpectedly. In fact I missed the location on the first passing and had to drive up the hill and turn around. I parked conveniently and made my way to GZ where the trickling water looked quite enticing on a hot day. I only just read about the blue green algae though and I'm glad I stayed dry.

I used to pass this way quite a bit in the 1970's (girlfriend pathway). I recall one night having to turn around as a large bull appeared in the middle of the road and started to charge the car!
Just on the eastern approach down to the Pond I seem to recall that one of the last scenes in Mad Max I was filmed - max blowing up a car with a person handcuffed inside it (and a hacksaw?).
Found this one straight away (GZ spot on for me). Good to see the creek running.
Took initialled bead set and left a mini-car pull-back. TFTC

found with motd. #992. apparently, this area floods quite significantly from time to time and this cache is in the 'wet zone'.
A pretty spot in a hectic pace to go driving.
Straight forward find and I think it may be out 300th (need to step back and check the count).

Nice spot for a cache. The river looks suspiciously solid due to the weed that almost completely covers it - I had to prove otherwise by lobbing several rocks through it, which barely made a noise as they went into the water. Can well imagine that this route would have flooded quite regularly when it was actively used.

Our fourth find for the day and at a spot we know. We were amused to find a tree sprouting Bra's near the cache. Nice quick find on a very windy day. Thanks for the cache.
I found this log at 3:50pm while doing some caching in the area prior to picking up a friend at the airport.
I found the cache easily and it was in good condition.
The pond was looking very "pondy" all covered in duckweed, and the overflow was gurgling down under the old bridge, very pleasant spot.
I signed the log, but took and left nothing.
Thanks for the cache.

1st find of the cache run and 2049th total find at 09:58.
A nice quick find. I remember this spot from many years ago, you could drive over the ford and swim in the river. Now it looks like the river is just a trickle, and choked up with weed
Took: Nothing
Left: Screwdriver
Thanks Oakman for the cache.

Driving home when I thought "I wonder if there is a cache nearby". As luck would have it, there was. Quickly found and logged.

After a day trying to catch up on most of my unfound cahes in the western suburbs, I was heading back east and decided to stop off for this one. It's an unusual little spot - all that green water weed covering the surface of the pond had me tricked at first and I thought it was solid ground. It's quite attractive though, and there seemed to be a fair volume of water too.
TNLN
Thanks Oakman - it's nice to stop off for a cache at some of these little out-of-the-way places.

This is a good spot for a cache and a nicely placed one too, thanks Oakman. There were lots of birds around today. The rather small log isn't going to last too long though.
Although completely dark, this was an easy find by torchlight. Didn't get to see any of the surrounds unfortunately. That's the trouble with night caching. Thanks for the cache.

Easy Find in the morning
Past someone parked in a suspicious manner with a geocaching sticker on his back window and GPS in hand in the evening however. Thought to myself - that is someone after that cache!! We pulled up further down, in front of the bridge and watched. He must have just got it cos he started to pull away, oh well, whoever it was, WE SAW YOU!!

Found at 3.10pm GAFF1. As we approached GZ we noticed a rubbish bin holder - like the ones you see at bus stops - wonder if there was a bus stop here many years a go.

We had to pick friends up from Tullamarine airport and having a better than expected run we were there with a bit of time to kill and decided to keep going past and have a bit of a look for this cache. Once parked it was a short walk to gz where the GPSr led us directly to the cache. This stretch of road certainly shows how hard and unpredictable travel must have been in the not too distant past
