Found it easily enough, was our families first ever find so exciting all round
Disappointing day of caching in George Town today with 3 dnf and only 6 caches found in 4 hours of caching. Oh well sometimes you get days like that.Fun find here, not seen one like this in a long time. TFTC
Quick strategic park and grab with tassie expat while exploring this nice area. Thanks, it was good cammo.
Found it out with a group of friends and the kids found it and had fun and the log was nice and dry
Jetstar was having a sale…. in the middle of winter, for a destination further south than I already live. That sounds like a great idea!
So a plan for a 4 night whirlwind tour of the northern part of the state was hatched. I’ve seen lots of this beautiful state, but haven’t found a single cache. With plenty of challenges to tick off, and a long list of targeted caches, this week is the time to turn that around.
Todays adventure takes me west from Launceston to St Helens via Beaconsfield, Low Head, Bridport and Scottsdale.
I spent more time trying to get the logbook out of the cache than the cache itself only to discover that the logbook was actually squished in the lid. It was very wet and soggy.
Thanks sscharlie for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

having seen this hide before this was an easy find. Hide is in good condition bt log book I completely soaked and unsignable
OzHockeyChick shouted me a return flight to Launceston for my birthday. So grateful for this awesome gift and so very pleased to have her with me to celebrate. We got diverted to Hobart which definitely wasn't part of our tight schedule. Once we arrived in our original destination, we picked up the car and were on our way.Took longer to locate than it should have. Log book needs attention. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.
A 'Thelma & Louise' style weekend away with Geoturtle37, to celebrate her recent milestone birthday. We are flying in to Launceston on Friday afternoon, returning to Melbourne on Sunday evening. Our carefully planned itinerary includes selected LGAs, placement dates, DTs and high faves. If we manage to find them all, we can expect 186 smilies in total.
This took a lot longer than it should have. Logbook is quite wet, and could do with a replacement.
Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, sscharlie

very clever hide, an ant family are living in it now so didn’t go for the logbook
A near empty carpark meant a stress free search for your cache here.
I replaced the sodden log with a fresh sheet though this type of cache is notorious for letting in moisture.
Thanks guys...

Up this way again to drop off a mate to pick up his Motor-Home from Low Head.
With that done i was free to grab Caches (Mainly targeting Old Caches and those with high FP's) between here and Launceston where i "had" planned to stay tonight but the place is near on booked out so in hindsight, i found as many as i could then made a dash for home in HBA, later in the afternoon.
I was looking around here for this cache but only noticed something mentioned in a previous log. There was no log book within so i signed some paper and placed it inside for the next finder also.
Here's hoping i am correct. If not, please delete /disregard my find, Many thanks. (Signed at 12:06 on Tuesday 21 March 2023).
If this is the cache, it is in good condition and is a sneaky hide indeed

YAY - found York Cove while on our Great Tassie 2023 Caching Adventure. 10th cache today. Took us longer to find than it should've. TFHC
Found this little one on a walk around the water. Very nice little hide.

After eating at The Crazy Duck did a quick look and found it quickly after reading the hint. Very clever. Tftc
Day 2 of our Tasmanian Odyssey… The plan is to attend Grumbligrot’s Celebration Event in Georgetown and target some oldies before and after… that and anything else that grabs my attention or I happen to step over, in the area…
I’m running out of time… but I keep getting distracted…. Another pre 2010 cache… it only required me to ignore one “no entry” sign…
If I hadn’t seen this type of hide before I’m pretty sure I would have been here much longer… the problem arises when you think you’ve found one of these hides, and you’re wrong…

Tftc. Quick find and a good one for the kids. Their grandfather placed this one originally
Great hiding idea although ants thought so too. Hundreds of them. Pity we didn’t have spray.

Another clever hide. Found this one quickly because I had found a similar one before - but the effort and imagination turned an ordinary location into a great cache. TFTC
out and about caching with 1 Lil Rafa in the Low Head Georgetown area, TFTC TNLN log dry easy find with clues this time we had time to tidy up loose ends or caches unfound from our last trip. this was one of them. everything is good at GZ. sneaky little cache, glad for a smiley here. glad to find the cache.
Thanks for the cache FLANGE_1&TRIBE & sscharlie.
Spending the weekend in Low Head with RLD4963.
We had visited George Town a couple of years ago, and at the time we had both searched for this cache independently, and together, and came up empty handed. I'm not sure why I didn't log a DNF at the time, perhaps I felt I hadn't completed a thorough search. So, this cache was one of our goals to find on our return trip to the area this weekend.
The first thing we noticed this time, was that the car park was empty - two years ago, this car park was full. Sadly, a sign of the impact of COVID19. Secondly, RLD4963 found the cache in the first place he looked! Relieved to be turning this one into a smiley today, a good hide.

I did find the cache container with its lid off, hence the water getting in. Replaced the log even though it’s waterproof slate paper and wasn’t jammed in!
