This needs permanent archiving as there is a new BMX park at GZ.
Time to put it to bed.
Time to put it to bed.
With a growing list of DNFs and a growing and evolving BMX track right at GZ, perhaps this one needs a check by the CO.
No luck after an extensive search with Gizmos Gang. We confirmed our GZ with a previous finger but that didn't help. The area is one big BMX track..... Is this a recent addition to the park? Very frustrating.
No luck at GZ today. Searched for a while with CPwanderer but signal was jumping around. We confirmed with a previous finder that we were in the right area. Eventually we gave up, especially as a muggle family arrived to explore the area. Is the bmx jump track a recent addition to this park?
I’m glad to have this one finally off the list. Had a tough time getting the clues as I think the park may have changed a bit over the years. My initial efforts result in what looked a likely place. However after a fruitless search realised I must be wrong. I was in fact a long way off! Luckily a previous finder pointed me in the right direction and a fast find was made. TFTC
Hm. When I woke up this morning, I honestly didn’t think I would be sitting in a steamroller. DNF.
We had really finished for the day and needed to get to the movies. But landed in the car park and just couldn’t help quickly pulling together the final coordinates. A great little park and I’m certainly glad the cache wasn’t hidden in the Steamroller. TFTC
Last geocache for the day, just squeezed this one in before the movies. Had to dodge a few muggles while searching for the answers, but this one was found without too much trouble. TFTC
Our first multi-cache. After H hurt herself at Steamroller Park where we picked up the clues, we went to the cache site and found a band aid inside. How serendipitous! Tftc.
Our 1st 2 part cache. Lots of fun solving the clue at the playground. A good one to do with the kids. We popped a bandaid in with the cache in case of any scratches
After catching up with a mate just down the road I couldn’t resist picking up a few caches along the way home. After gathering the required information, I made my way to gz and began my search. This however took a little longer due to my gps jumping around the whole time. I stopped for a bit and decided to re-read the description, the hint and a few logs and had an ahh haa moment and the cache was spotted. The log was signed and the cache replaced and I was on my way.

What a fun little multi! So many nice spots around here for both young and older. TFTC
Took me 4 times to get the information for this one because of mini muggles. Last time was after the 0 - 5000 event in hahndorf and i brought my own mini muggle and got the information with the aid of getnict. Grabbed the cache today with getnict on route to murray bridge. quick find at gz.
Grabbing some caches on the way to Murray Bridge with sir_spectre. We had gotten the required information for this one after an event. We used mini_maker as our decoy to get the data. Came back today to grab the cache on the way past.

Got the clues to this one many months ago and finally bit the bullet to finish it off. Quite easy in the end and the clue helped as there were so many hiding spots and the GPS was jumping around everywhere. TNLN. Cheers.
Worked out and found while enjoying a beautiful sunny winter's day caching in the area. Thanks Schatzsuche1 for the cache.
This was one of those caches for me that I got the info for the coords, but then they sat on paper for 2 years in the "To find" pile.
One more for the bin, as the name is now in the log.

We got the info for this one from Steamroller Park some weeks ago, which was great fun, but looking at the activity log there was some doubt about the cache and whether it had been muggled. With the activity log looking more positive recently, we went to GZ today with our calculated coordinates and it was a relatively easy find. Medium sized cache with plenty of room for swappables but none there. Might put some in myself next time I'm passing as the theme of the cache should attract lots of young geocachers.

Eager for a cache today to keep my mini streak going and not able to pick one up straight after work like usual...I was sitting at home looking for one not too far away & not overly difficult...my muggle daughter was home too & to my surprise agreed to come for a drive with me...we picked loulabelle994 up on the way & headed to Steamroller Park...the place was empty...not surprising as it was dark & damp tonight but the rain held off long enough to get the required information...after counting & recounting we figured we had the right co-ordinates so off we went...
The co-ordinates were spot on for a quick find...we did get wet from above from the water dripping off the trees & wet from below from the water in the foliage lying on the ground...
It is always a great feel of achievement when you discover the cache is actually where we worked out GZ should be.

Have been going to do this one for a long time but never got around to it due to high muggle presence. With the inducement of a new Souvenir I decided it was time. Up early before any muggles and quickly had all the required information needed to get this cache before heading to 8am mass at the monastery. Nice and quiet peaceful find. TFTC TNLNSL
I found a new park I never knew about when at the final WP. Good final location, although, I kept on getting cut by all the thorns and sharp plants while looking and replacing.

Following the Start the day with a Pi() event, it was a day of changing cars, caching with a variety of people and a daily tally of 2 events attended , cache finds numbering 7 and 1 DNF There was also a haircut for me in there somewhere too [^]
OK, so I didn't get back home until well after 1am but there was lots of driving around by Honeysucker, Dennisc52 and myself
By now I was in Honeysucker's car with Brisal5 too as Andy Colombia had gone home to sleep [)]
We headed for Bridgewater and on the way, stopped to check out this cache after my recent DNF.
Using the WP from 2ystassies, three of us looked and looked but could not find the former cache container.
So a new cache was placed at GZ and in a spot matching the hint [^]
All good to go again

After attending a Pi event for breakfast I found myself in the city with nothing to do all day but cache my way around until it was time for another Pi event for Dinner. The second event was to be hosted by the one and only BFE, so perhaps I should make it a BFE day and grab a few of the numerous ones sitting on my solved but yet to find list. Joined up with Goodlook and CPWanderer after the breakfast and set off in search of getting closer to BFE nirvana. They had other plans for the afternoon so after lunch I swapped to being with Honeysucker and Locus-Cache to continue the hunt. [^]
Locus having obtained permission from the owner to replace was just as eager to ensure the original was not still here. So the three of us spent eternity looking under every leaf and log in the cold and wet. I managed to trip and severely bruise my hand. When it started to hail it was time to replace the cache, sign it and move on. Thanks schatzsuche1 for the hunt. You can enable when ready.

While spending the day volunteering at the police communications centre I received an sms informing me that someone was in town and wanted to go geocaching
I'd have liked some sleep [)] but then again getting a few more caches wouldn't really hurt, would it!
A short detour to allow Moneydork to get changed, tea at Maccas as usual, a cache or two on the way to the SE freeway then my car got dropped in the hills and we started caching [^]
While out with Moneydork, I had 2 DNFs and found 12 caches plus 3 more finds on my own after we went our seperate ways.
By the time I found my last cache, it was midnight and the clouds had been blown in by some really strong winds
Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.
DNF! First DNF for the night We searched and searched and since my car was left near GZ, I also had another look on my own after Moneydork left for about another 3/4s an hour after reading 2y'stassies log, to no avail
There's a huge amount of leaf litter on the ground here

Got all the clues and headed off but even with 5 geokids and 2 adult searching didn't find it any where near the coordinates or clue! after reading the last logs can you please replace cache to where it should be please
The Steamroller Park is our elder grand-daughter's favourite park. She loves to visit and play and then go to the coffee shop for a Baby Cino! This park is also a favourite with many other young people as we had to make three visits before we could complete the data collection. Today we went to look for the cache at GZ. We identified GZ and a couple of nearby locations matching the hint but, alas, we could not find the cache. We widened our search area and after about 15 minutes, we located the cache about 12m from GZ seemingly thrown into some ground covering creeper. The cache was certainly not near anything matching the hint. The contents of the cache were slightly damp. We think that the cache may have been moved from its intended hide but we were not confident where the cache should have been located and we left it where we found it. It certainly needs checking and placing back in the correct position if necessary. Thanks schatzsuchel for an interesting multi.
Despite the number of times I've been here in my lifetime, I still noticed things I've never seen before. Calculated the coords last night and attempted to find but it was pitch black and after 15 mins I decided to call it and come back in the light. Returned this morning and within 5 mins (after a bit of unnecessary forestry exploration and a quick look at the hint I should've checked first) the cache was in hand. Contents a little damp but log still dry. TFTC
Played in this playround a fair bit growing up.
Lots of muggles out today as the Stirling Markets were on, but some inconspicuous detective work by KK got all the detail we needed to find this one.

A much loved playground! Found this today with Foax and kk 'u'. It took all three of us to gather the necessary information. One mistake gave us the wrong coordinates but we got there in the end! Thanks for the adventure!
Loved the clues. Got to the place with the hint. Unable to find cache. We need to recheck our clues.
found it. Excellent effort put in on this one. Yesterday we worked out the clues and today went and found the prize. Nice walk in a lovely town.Tftc
Great cache. Don't be discouraged by the distance of the actual cache from the playground!
Found It!
At long last I was in Stirling late enough in the day for the park not to be packed full of kids! After carefully inspecting the 'steam' roller I had all but one of the answers - eventually I found Mr. Collins and then made my way to GZ and quickly found the cache!
TFTC
ps. I don't mean to nitpick but there are plenty of signs pointing out that that roller is/was diesel powered - not steam powered!

Found with Snap Happy while catching up with interstate friends. Nice easy puzzle. TFTC
Even though it was windy and cool this afternoon there were plenty of young children enjoying the playground. Luckily it was easy to gather the information needed without disturbing the muggles. An easy find at the final GZ. The log book is damp but still in tact. TFTC
Great play at the park while finding answers, then quick and easy find. Log book is soaked through.
TFTC!
We thought that we'd got something wrong at first because the located ordinates were further away than we'd expected. Found it in the end though.
I gave the plastic medal to my mother as she, out of the three of us, was the one to find the cache once we'd got the coordinates.
Also the ziplock bag holding the notebook was pretty tattered so we replaced that. The notebook is a bit waterlogged (ever so slightly ironic for a logbook) and should probably be left out to dry. Unfortunately we didn't have time to do that.

Been waiting to finish this cache for some time. At last there with grandchildren. TFTC
Really awesome cache c: It felt kinda awkward hanging around as a group of young adults in a playground full of kids and parents, but using the steamroller to work out where the cache was was great fun! Also nicely hidden. Popolollie spotted this one.
Found with Rineth Windevere and friends on our Stirling-to-Hahndorf cache hunt. Took some adventuring by the "big kids" to collect all the answers. The log book was signed but was a little soggy. Tftc.
A bit tricky in the dark (both Steamroller Park and GZ) but the clue helped guide the way. Thank you for your efforts in maintaining this multi as the playground gets updated. Took TB. TFTC Schatzsuche1.
Got the coords on our way to a family birthday party. Found the cache on the way home from the party. But spiky at the GZ! Dropped off TB. Thanks Schatzsuche1.
Can you please check that this geocache is still there because I have been to steam roller park countless times and can't find it.
Lovely walk from one park to another but couldn't find it despite taking a geohusband, 2 geokids and 2 geodogs. Oh well. Will have to drop off WallE elsewhere.
I have looked and looked and looked but I just don't seem to be able to find this one
Getting the hang of these multi's now. SL TSLS TFTC

with help from Jedika we had to climb all over the playground trying to get the cordinates to find the Cache and at one time we had to ask a woman to move to get the last clue but we managed to find it

Yay my first multi cache. Not only that but my first non traditional cache too. I had loads of fun doing this one but we had a bit of trouble finding the birthday answer as someone was sitting on the bench we needed.
Found with Doctor Owl and Sister Raven.
Found with Doctor Owl and Sister Raven.
Owl’s policy of being brazenly open at crowded playgrounds paid off and she even gathered some sympathy for her whispered ‘school holiday activity’ to the other parents. Mr Collins was completely elusive until she realised that one of the mums was sitting in front of him. After that it was a straightforward run to the end (apart from GPS problems due to wet vegetation) for Jedika98’s first multi. Tipped a ton of water out of the cache, but the logbook was completely dry, perched on top of the swaps.
Found after a visit to GZ. Note, if you play like a kid in the playground you don't need kids of your own
Have not had a lot of luck with this type of Multi recently and so it was great to find one where it was quite straightforward to decipher the clues. A short trip to the solved GZ and the cache was soon in hand. The log is still a little soggy but definitely usable. Took kids tangrams puzzle, left dinosaur. TFTC!
log book soggy and few swaps remain... still a good quick find and lots of fun TFTC
I found this one a very long time ago, about two months ago but have been so busy and just forgot to log it. This was a fun, easy find and enjoyed the history. I hid the cache a bit better as it was right in the open and easy to find.

Thought I had worked in out incorrectly as 1/2 km ish from streamroller park. Trying to show newbie friends how caching works but ran out of time so came back later to battle holly and balckberries and wen straight to it.
Log is wet and sweating so I left it out of the plastic bag in the hope that would help. Needs checking

I love Steamrollers!! Couldn't get enough of them when I was kid. Minty goodness and only 20c a pack. Better value than Lifesavers.
Luckily I had the numbers wrapped up just as the local Scouts rolled up to meet. Would have looked really out of place then. At GZ, I spent most of my time trying to avoid the holly and blackberry bush everywhere. No wounds in the end. TFTC schatzsuche1.

I visited Steamroller Park some time ago and got all the required information. Today it was time to visit the cache, which was quickly found. Despite the fog and drizzle on the way up the hill it was dry at GZ.
Thanks for the cache schatzsuche1.

A dreary day, so no one out and about. Stopped nearby and notice the cache so went to make a quick find. Answers worked out and off to second WP. Gps not working so great, but eventually looked in the right direction and cache was sitting out. Have left covered, log book a bit damp.
I love when the hint says it there, the gps says 0m and the cache it right there.

Ya hoo! Finallly can croas this off my list after eluding me for sometime.
After following the fence line up & down for a while, I decided to heed scoobster's advice and went to find more patches of holly and then the clue became obvious. Took Peter's keyring and left winner's medal. Thanks for the magical mystery tour schatsuche1.

During the day this cache is in the pedophile category.
Means keep on driving for me
Means keep on driving for me
After waving the white flag in defeat, I asked Team Scoobster for some clues, and was correct in thinking the park was close to the Steamroller park. Still looking for a needle in haystack, with many pine trees, but the GPS was rather confused so took me all over the place. Be going back for a more extensive look next time. Cheers
Looks like I need to recheck my clues, was hoping to get a leap day in but due to wrong coordinates that had me in someone's front yard & ongoing rain I've lucked out. Back to the drawing board. LOL
Wooohoooo.. first cache for the year.. a quick early morning trip up to visit family.. and a quick cache find too... Loved all the holly around.. very festive.
There have been upgrades to the playground. I have double checked the questions and answers and edited the listing accordingly. Ready to go again!
