Let me first say, It’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey.
OMG… there is no denying this was hard work in places but the scenery was amazing and it seemed that each step I took, it changed slightly until it was completely different. From farms to Australian native bush to almost rainforest looking areas with huge tree ferns, to Tea trees and then out onto a secluded beach with some truly amazing rock formations and pebbles of all different shapes and sizes, then it was climbing up yet another hill to take in magnificent views of the jagged coastline while looking out over the rough seas in Bass Strait.
All the while I had different birds cheering me on as they flitted around the greenery as I climbed up and down these hills.

What a beautiful crisp clear windless day to be out after Covid19 rules have been relaxed ! Doing a circuit via Observation Hill, Doones Falls, Anniversary Bay and the caves. Bit knackered now, but a great day, especially as we had no great expectations about finding this one given the information about poor reception and GPS irregularities. But luckily the clue is spot on, which led to our muggle daughter putting her hands on the mother lode almost immediately.
If the C.O. is still around, everything rather damp, and container lid is in the first stages of disintergration, so this might require attention in the not too distant future. Rather surprised by the long time span between logs, but very pleased were able to bag this one. Thanks to "The Shadow of Darkness"

I haven't been here since 1973 which I think was the second time. The first being with the Burnie Field Naturalists Club a year or so before not long after the fall was (if my memory serves me correctly) discovered by 2 members who had been out following a sea-eagle in an effort to find its nest and stumbled across the falls.
The cache was not too hard to find and the waterfall was working well after the rain of the past few days. The pool at the base was like a massive bubble bath and I could tell that the bubbles had been higher yesterday which made me worried that the cache had been overcome. Luckily all was well. TFTC

We were doing the excellent Anniversary Bay circuit walk on a lovely sunny and windless winter's day. Did the short side trip to these falls which were running quite well from the previous day's rain. There was so much foam at the bottom of the falls it was as if someone had tossed in a box of soap powder. Found the cache OK - it is in reasonable condition but a little damp inside.
Found on our Trip around Tasmania in Dec / Jan...
Thanks for all the caches and showing us a lot of lovley places on this fantastic Island

Found after a bit of a search! Well hidden but the log book is a bit damp. Signed with a pencil as the enclosed biro wouldn't work. TFTC.
Tough to find, blended in well as no one had disturbed for some time! Paper wet and pen would not work, so have not signed log. Very dry, so the falls are just a trickle

Mr T & Mr Whitewebbs tackled 8 caches in the Rocky Cape area and this was one of them. The day started off fine and the tracks varied in terrain, the scenery was magnificent and ever changing and well worth the effort. By the time they reached the end it started to rain and they were pleased to be picked up by the other halves who had been busy caching at lower levels. Lovely falls. TFTC
Mr W and Mr Tassie Trekkers set this day aside on our holiday to the North West to visit all the caches and trig points in the area. Mrs W and Mrs T did caches at lower levels around the area. Mr W commented the whole Rocky Cape area was fantastic and well worth the effort to visit. Amazing falls.
Well wasn't this a walk and a half. Getting there was ok but coming back up was very hard. You need to be very fit to do it easily. Falls were nice once we made it down and cache was found easily enough. Had a well earned snack and drink also. Views along the coast line were spectacular. Got a few other caches along the way. So glad we accomplished this cache and the hills. Thanks for bringing us here. Tnln.
Heazle1 omg what a walk well worth it but not when your not to fit. I was starting wonder if i was going to carry will.mott out or her me.tftc tnln
Visited on a circuit walk of the eastern end of the park. A great little detour with lots of orchid peeping through the heath. Looks like someone emptied a box of soap powder into the falls with a batch of particularly dirty washing. TFTC
Geo-wife had suggested e head up the coast and collect some caches. Not sure this one was what she had in mind, but we set off on the walking track from Sisters Beach where the GPSr had directed us to.
With a sunny, still winter's day we set off up the first steep pinch with great enthusiasm, and soon had our jumpers off and tied round our waists. 2.6km said the GPSr. That was as the crow flies, and we walked almost 5 up hills and down dales before getting to GZ, the track being a water course for much of it. But it was well worth it. Magnificent views and clear skies tather than the usual haze. And I had forgotten the camera. Plenty of water about after the recent rains coming over the falls, and rich in tannin so there was plenty of froth in the stream at the bottom. Reminded me of lemon meringue pudding!! And we hadn't had lunch yet.
Found the cache quickly tyhanks to the clue. Would have been interesting without it as reception wasn't good.
Admired the falls some more and then set off on the return trip.
With us a 'pair of old farts' the steep pinch back up sorted us out. The aches and pains began and it was a somewhat slow trip back.
But well worth it. A lovely area, great day and marvellous scenery.
Thanks for a great cache.

Hi there, out hiking with my daughter and came across this cache when having a pee in the bushes. After all my years of hiking I have never heard of this activity, but we were both very excited when we discovered and read what it was all about-some kind of 'Goonies' moment! Anyway, we left some shells, string and Japanese ski pass but took nothing. Very exciting to be part of this now and will be on the look-out for more. cheers Sandy and MJ
I was here at gz a month ago with friends having lunch and had not checked all the caches in the area. Was very annoyed with myself when I came home and logged 'Lorna Trips' and found that I could have bagged another one for that day. Anyway I enjoyed the quick trip today and found it easily. TNLN. It was a pleasant walk into the location - cloudy skies and a light breeze made for ideal walking conditions. The last 150m was a little ominous - a steep descent meant a steep climb on the way out. The heavy tannin stains in the water made the water in the waterfall a cream colour and there was a high bank of foam at the bottom - we hadn't seen tannin produce so much foam or such a dark coloured water as here. The clue was a great help as the GPS was very unreliable in this deep gully with a heavy tree cover. A quick find and we started the climb back to higher ground. TFTC
An easy walk in the park, The falls had a nice bit of water going over and it was a very pleasant winters walk. TNLN Thanks
Logging a geocoin into this cache as it's the nearest GC one, but it is actually in the GCA cache GA1629 Rocky Cape Spectacular.
Nice hide ie easy to spot for a cacher! Many thanks for placing this one to encourage us to make a very nice loop walk. Not hard going at all and the track was clear, and we didn't see a soul just an eagle or hawk hunting and the wonderful spring orchids. A fire has just been through so we saw the lizard orchid mentioned on the information board at the track start.
Our second cahe for the day and a great chance to visit this secluded spot. Still a lot of foam around but not enough to encroach on the cache. TNLNSL. Thanks.
3rd find of the day at 12:21.
OK. Who put the Cold Power in the bottom of the falls?
I was starting to worry that the cache was actually under all the foam, but I found it eventually.
Got pretty wet getting down there as the bush is encroaching over the track in places.
Thanks for the cache!

Never would have guessed there was a waterfall here! Took nothing left toy & US coin. TFTC!
As I stood at a track junction next to another nearby cache I wondered which trail led to this cache
I was not familiar with Paul or why he would rise and fall.
But eventually a tiny glow appeared in the filament of the light bulb in my brain [:o)]
Oh! Dune ! I get it
So off I headed confident I was on the right track.
I had noted that Nat Parks Tas had posted a warning sign on the 'info booth' at the start of the walking tracks that a "Severe Hazard" existed on this track due to fallen banksia trees. "Beware the big bad banksia men" I thought [:o]
So when I found the fallen banksia and simply stepped over it and continued my stroll I could help but feel that somebody's lost the plot
At the end of the trail the falls were falling !!
It looked a bit like someone had upended an urn of tea at the top though
Lovely tannin stained frothy tea
I found the cache with no trouble and sat down to enjoy the surrounds while I opened a celebratory can of fizzy 'tea'

oh dear a wet logbook shut up in a damp cache - next finder had better take a spare just in case and some hankies.
Not being terribly fit and it being a hot day the descent into this cache was a bit worrying. Cause what you go down you have to come back up again. But we made it with a lot of rest stops. It was certainly worth the walk. Even though there wasn't a lot of water going over the falls they were quite unique. Clue had us stumped until we got to the falls then became fairly obvious. Well hidden. TN left polished rock.
This is how it went. We saw the listing and rushed off to attempt a FTF. Arrived at Sister's Beach with mist all over the hills and the weather gloomy and windy. Shortly into our walk it began to rain, I discovered my raincoat was completely inadequate (as was the rest of my clothing), the other half of the hookline team didn't have a raincoat at all, and very soon we were very wet. But that was alright, we were in good spirits and weren't cold.
That all changed when we got to the cache. Not that the cache wasn't good, it was a fine one in a nice area and would have been very pleasant on a nice day. No, it was more the fact that by the time we got there we were both utterly DRENCHED, and worse, a certain notorious cacher and his little doggy had ALREADY BEEN THERE, somehow, at some insane hour of the morning before us! Standing there struggling to sign the book with the rain and trees dripping all over it (and us), the ink running hopelessly, the cache getting wet and the disappointment somehow all led to a fit of hysterical laughter.
After that the cold set in. We replaced the cache and slogged with gloomier spirits back to the car, socks slushing horribly in our shoes, having endured all this personal discomfort just for the sake of a FTF and missing out. Then we had to climb soaked into my car and drive home again.
Damn Sirius...

This is the 3rd time into this neck of the woods...so may as well power walk my way in and out...which I did...taking 93 min return. Quite a nice spot at GZ even though water flows are diminished...a little oasis among the plains. Cache easy to hand with exc. hint...many thanks S o D.....TNLN...Cheers.
