Thanks Margieh for placing this cache and for the ongoing maintenance. Find #10848 on 9/11/2024 at 4:15PMThree of us headed north to collect a few smileys. Our target was the BigQ and also collect anything else we found along the way. Signed logs as TOAD (Team Ozgrumpy Astro doineedthis). A great day out, Thanks to all the COs for their time and effort.
A trip up to do the Big Question Mark with OZGrumpy and Astro. Some interesting history here.
Stopped to check on this one on the way to Port Pirie..Replaced container and headed offAll good to go..
Today out and about on 145 of 183 days to get my daily cacher Sapphire Using my Garmin Etrex 22X and MacBook Air!Thanks for the cacheTFTC
On a trip to Port Broughton for a Park Run event and weekend away camping, with some coffee and lunch in us, we went caching! Thanks for the cache!
An interesting bit of history here, cache found and is all goodThis weekend Courtneyrose_ and I headed to the Copper Coast for a night away, our plan was to attend parkrun at Port Broughton followed by a nice day out on the bikes completing the larger section on the Copper Rail Trail from Wallaroo to Moonta. A nice night away with nearly 100 finds for the trip. Thanks for the cache
As I drove to Work in Port Broughton this morning I passed here and just knew that there had to be a cache here. I stopped on my way home and sure enough There was one! Found easily and I will enjoyThe cream puff cone when I get home with a well earned cuppa tea. Photo of cream puffs attached! All is good here
Last night fitzy_1965 and I stayed at the Wilmington Hotel. Old facilities but new air con was a winner! And honest locals as we realised in the morning that we had left the car keys on the dashboard last night! Our plan today was to collect oldies & counties and whatever inbetween whilst making our way back to my cousin's house for a family dinner. All caches found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. This was one of them.
34,313. Found with minniek during our trip to The Great Leap Forward Mega Event in Adelaide on 29th February 2024.Day 4 : After staying overnight at the Wilmington Pub, we headed out hunting for more Counties, oldies and other interesting caches. We do enjoy meandering around the countryside doing this. Hopefully we will cross off a bunch more South Australian Counties today. Lots of great caches to choose from as well. This was the next cache - and it was a quick find once at GZ. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then we continued on to the next one. Thanks Margieh !!
No cream puff for me last visit here !!! Today the cream was fresh, and the cache tasted nice TFTC
Im in SA for a work trip and decided to grab a couple while out and about. Travelling between Adelaide, Woomera, port Augusta and Roxby Downs. Plenty to see. Ill be back next year for the Great Leap Forward event. Looking forward to that. Many thanks to Margieh for placing and maintaining Cream Puff Corner. I found it, I signed it, and put it back as found.
Out for a few days in the upper reaches of Yorke Peninsula chasing Yellow Smilies!Been a mixture of wins and fails but most of the wins have earnt Favourite points. Many thanks to all the COs in placing and continuous maintenance.TFTC
Job done in Port Augusta and heading home. Couldn't resist stopping here for a quick cache and a photo.
Darwin to Adelaide Road Trip
Day Nine: Port Augusta to Gumeracha
Weather: perfect, but windy
A great story; read the second sign set back from the road. If it was a busier road, they could do something regularly here, like the sausages at Bunnings.
I hadn’t read the logs about the cache being hard to find; I didn’t have any trouble at all.
I’m glad that the sign got funded, and pleased that there is a cache here to makes us stop and read the story.
Thanks margieh, a favourite. A great debut cache that has stood the test of time!
It’s officially a mega - GCA1DNA “The Great Leap Forward”
Adelaide, South Australia. February 29, 2024
We would love to have your company.

Quick find with the kids as we head north on our SA road trip. Great story here! Thanks for the fun and adventure.
Collected some more cache’s before heading home. Nice quick find for last one of the day. TFTC
Found during a circuit from Kadina, Alford and along the backroads through to Snowtown after attending the YP Cachers Catchup and YP Cachers CITO 2023 events earlier in the day. Interesting story about the location! Thanks for the cache Margieh.
TFTC. Day 8 of honeymoon caching trip. Headed in a northerly direction from our base of Wallaroo.
Happy caching and safe travels!

Out with iluvtrekking heading to Port Broughton and surrounds, picking up caches along the route. Found 8-9 mts from where gps indicated. Thanks Margieh
Doggos had a wee while I found the cache...yes it's still out by a few metres....
The usual Wednesday Wander for members of Befuddled Puzzle solving group had us heading once again in search of solved puzzles and anything else we might be passing. Today it was myself, SA Sewer Rats and Astro. [:o)] Today we were meeting at the Rat's Nest before heading northwards towards our ultimate goal of reaching the new caches at Clement's Gap. There were the usual laughs[^], bad jokes, a couple of FTF's and some more DNF's to add to a list that should be shrinking and not increasing. [:(!] A big day out with me not getting home until 1.00 a.m. the next day and Astro even later.
Heading home after a meal of the Port Broughton Pub I just had to stop and find a few by torchlight. Unfortunately for me that meant looking down and walking into a low branch in the dark. There was blood - there is always blood. [B)][B)] But I found the cache which always makes it worthwhile.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again I will trying to get the other two this year. [^] Should be easy as I only have to get two multi caches in July from the lockdown and couldn't get out. [:o)] The other was DNF's that came down from over 50 to the low teens before blowing out again but I really want to see only single a single digit this year.
***Thanks Margieh for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***
Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

Nice location. You can find it without getting yourself pricked or fouled by the toilet paper and rubbish. Sad that our countryside is used as a dumping ground.
According to google we missed the opening hours by 15 minutes and therefore weren't able to partake of cream puffs for morning tea.
But then again they open at midnight so only another 11 hours and 45 minutes to wait... Umm de dumm

Great story. Nice easy find on way back from seeing all the family playing footy or netty at Bute. A rare occasion.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Have driven past this location for many years. At last we stopped to do the cache and read the sign. Quaint little story. Container found a little away from gz, but still in an obvious location. Tftc
Today we cached between the Barunga Range and Port Broughton . The day was moving on by now, so we started to zig-zag around to the south , picking up caches in the farming areas in the general direction of home .
Love finding these little spots of local history [^].
TNLNSL.
Mmmm. Could have used a cream puff when we visited - alas, we were late again .
Thanks again Margieh.

So we were all set to fly to Dayboro for the Queensland Mega this weekend. There hadn't been a case in Qld for a quite a few weeks before we decided to book in early Feb. What are the chances of a case causing a lockdown and closing the border we thought..So when it all did happen just 4 days before we where due to leave, we were royally peed off. So we had to cancel and find somewhere else to spend Easter. Pt Broughton was a last minute choice so here we are at the Broughton Bay RV park. After having brekkie in the Cafe and looking around the markets we headed out to do a few around the district. Searched at GZ with no luck, widened our seach and found the cache about 9 mertres away from GZ. TFTC
Day 445 ( Monday 16th) of our trip. Caching along the way, in Bute today. Out this afternoon to get a few around the area. TFTC
What a wonderful story this corner has. Wish it was open when we were there we certainly would have had one. Thanks for bringing us to this piece of history
A bit of a look around, a pity about the rubbish everywhere! A great story as well , we used to come here on the Oct long w/e when they sold cream puffs as a fund raiser! TTFTC
TFTC a quick drive by, although it was about 8/9 meters out from the coordinations. Love learning about this little piece of history out here on a road we have many times but never knew the history of this location. The log was signed & dated, took nothing but added a little something.
Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
This morning, the back farm roads from Port Broughton are the target. Everything is looking so green at the moment. Mostly Wheat, and some canola flowering in the distance.
Like every one else's log, this cache is eight metres out. But we found it eventually under a different tree. Thanks Margieh

Out with an Adder and a Fish, on our Wednesday wandering.
Caching our way to Port Broughton and back to Gawler.
That was an interesting bit of history.
Whilst the Adder slithered in one spot the Rat scurried to another spot.
The Rat quickly had the cache in her paws. Tftc

Once more a menagerie of animals from the Puzzled Puzzlers set out on our weekly Wednesday Wanderings. Unfortunately the Starfish was not well so he was with us in thoughts and not in person. The KORF as the chauffeur for the day the plan was to pick up a few DNF's and numerous others that still required smiling faces on the map. A couple of DNF's turned to smileys and a few more DNF's added to the list.
Another bit of history that we would not have learned if not for this fun hobby. Cache found in an adjacent structure about 8 meters from GZ.

Slowly heading in the direction direction of Quorn. Targeting multi's and any trad that is along the way. found the co ords to be 15 meters out but the cache is there.
found with mogni on route to Quorn for the June Long Weekend event, we have left a day early to grab some extra caches.

A huge weekend of geocaching with Mary from Aussie M & M. We got ourselves a lovely little cottage in Kadina and made this our base. So many caches and so little time we had to target certain ones that we felt were special enough to get a visit. As per normal we fixed any that needed some love so other could find them after us.
We expanded our search and quickly found the original cache. About 9 m out.
Thanks to Margieh from mogni

This is one of the caches we were targeting to find while on the Yorke Peninsula. Monica spread out and made the find here. We were all ready to replace this one for the CO, but there was no need. Just spread out a bit more people, hidden at the base of a ......, and easily found.

Coords awayWe have commenced Part 2 of our holiday. Part 1 was Easter at Morisset and we came home to sort out some family business. Now we are heading to South Australia instead.
After 4 wonderful nights at Edithburgh we have headed off to Port Broughton for a couple of nights. We arrived early enough to set off for the afternoon picking up caches as they popped up. What a terrific story - have been craving cream puffs ever since. Coords had us quite a way away but we have replaced it in the same area but in a logical spot for the next seeker.

Interesting story behind the name.

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work.

TFTC. While stopped here to read the sign, a local farmer pulled up and told us that he used to know the bachelors that the cream puff sign refers to.
Are pictures considered spoilers? Not sure if cache moved, but slight water damage
Quick stop off on the Bazinga Family Road trip, and interesting to find out about Cream Puff Corner. Kids did a few swaps. TFTC
Quick find whilst touring the area on a dreary wet day

Parham to Snowtown.
Have made camp in the showgrounds for the night. We were hoping for tea at the hotel again but it is now closed. The sportsground has meals tonight so we will try them.
A short tiki tour of the area & we were rewarded with a few finds.
Interesting story.
Thanks for placing this cache Margieh

2nd time past this delightfully named corner. This time managed to get hubby to stop so I could search for cache and sign log. Really enjoying the areas around here. TFTC
Well done chase very cold today, always wanted to know why this is cream puff corner, now I know
On this occassion, I am doing a generic log. I have travelled from Queensland to meet up with Muff1 for a Geocaching extravaganza on the beautiful Yorke Peninsular.
Our goal to Cache, Cache and Cache. Each day our "finds" have been growing in number, some days more productive then others. Repairs and replacement of broken containers, new log books and adding a new plastic bag here and there have all been part of the fun we have been having.
We have also been careful to take time to appreciate the natural wonder of the areas we have visited. The variety of caches was interesting, some very clever, some the quick grab they were designed to be.
My sincere thanks to Muff1 for providing me with the opportunity to join them on this geocaching holiday.
A big thank you to all of the dedicated Cache placers who have made this possible.

What a lovely name for a corner. We did, what we are sure many have done, drove straight to the sign only to realised it was elsewhere. As we were leaving another car pulled in and we stopped and chatted wondering if they were geocachers but they were not, they were only taking a photo of the sign. This leaves the question - how many people stop and take a photo here.
The listed TB is not in the cache.
First we must appologise for the generic logs.
We came to Yorke Peninsular with Speedmistress who hails from Queensland to cache our little hearts out and this we are doing.
We solved loads of puzzles prior to coming and with all the earth, multi, trads and puzzles there are here we were never lacking in variety.
When we found caches that needed repair we have done our best to do what was possible, unfortunately we have now rum out of spare containers, so no more repairs can be done. We have enjoyed the scenery, the walks, the animal life and the challenges that was encountered while traveling the Peninsular. Not all the caches have been attempted due to time restraints but those have been earmarked for future visits.
We also would like to thank Speedmistress for supplying our geocaching chariot.
A huge thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for us to enjoy.

We were headed home now and came past here. I just had to stop to get this cache, such a great name and history. Dad had a coffee while I found the cache and then we swapped drivers.
