Found it! I managed to solve this one from home and stopped by to make the find today. TFTC!
Clare and Gilbert Valley caravan trip. Day 5 - Brinkworth to Snowtown and return.Did the maths, had a chat with BBB, watched a train go by, then found a cache.TFTC
Cache has been replaced and is now in a new location. Sorry those who have it worked out and not found it but old location was not available anymore.
Coordinates changed from:S 33 47.228 E 138 12.543Coordinates changed to:S 33 47.231 E 138 12.542Distance from original: 19.0 feet or 5.8 meters.A slight adjustment to get the projection correct.
I made solving this harder than what it was and then when I got to GZ I had a muggle farmer corner me and ask if I was a cacher. He informed me he had removed the trees and noticed a Tupperware type container there and thought he had left it on the ground but it looks like it has gone. We chatted for a bit longer and then he headed off to the local footy.
I sent a photo of GZ to the CO and all going well the cache will be replaced.

A fun day with JJ52 and Michells&hound going from Adelaide to Lochiel, Snowtown, Bute and Moonta finding caches along the way. My main role was to drive and find caches. Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC Dazzatron
Gathered the info and off to GZ where a quick find was made.
Thanks for the cache Dazzatron.
Found on 27/3/21 at 13:11.
Find #13646.

Working out the numbers here had Mary and Andrew both doing the sums, finding the same numbers and then heading off straight to the endpoint. Our maths took us straight to the cache except we did look at the wrong tree first.

My first visit to Snowtown in I can’t think how many years - all part of today’s Aussie M&M maintenance run.
We made some calculations and made a find. That’s today’s multi sorted, thanks Dazzatron.

Moved the caravan to Hummocks Station (Snowtown) today, but we were a bit early to check in so we grabbed a few town caches before moving in.

In Clare for the weekend...friending and caching...
We did take a wide berth to get a few on the way to, from and in Snowtown this evening...
Thank you for our Snowtown Welcome Dazzatron

My second Snowtown multi today that just didn’t want to play. Not sure what I’m doing. Will have to try again another day.
I ended up Captain Kirking this one purely with geosenses alone. It was worth a try that paid dividends. TFTC
Mr Tardis had a day off work, and was out caching in the mid north. After a few quick calculations I headed off to GZ and found the cache after a short search.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Dazzatron.
PS: Sorry it has taken 6 months to log my find on this one.

This weekend, I joined gridge98 on a trip to Eyre Peninsula, primarily visiting Port Lincoln and its surroundings. We saw its famous marina full of trawlers, and we also ended up visiting Coffin Bay and enjoyed fresh oysters. A nice weekend with weather, and certainly a great vicinity to see.
Today after work and gridge98's university, we commenced the drive towards Port Lincoln, staying in Whyalla for the night. We had a few short side detours during our drive, finding a few geocaches in Snowtown and along the old road from Port Augusta to Whyalla, and arrived rather late into our destination.
I was here at Snowtoen a few months ago on 12/06/2020, collected the needed numbers, but didn't want to bother with the calculations that these coordinates required, and so I left it until I got home. I returned this evening, and needing a multi-cache find for today's calendar day, we detoured past this location. It turned out to be a quick find, with the cache container and logbook in good shape. I picked up pathtag located in this geocache too. Thanks Dazzatron for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

This evening Davidwazza and I headed off on our weekend trip to port Lincoln, to gain some time for tomorrow we headed to Whyalla for the evening and stopped at a few caches along the way. This multi was a nice and easy one then we made a quick find at GZ. TFTC
A day off from work had me off to the north west with Purrfect Di and Jack...
A few random caches to be found along the way - this was one of the lucky ones
Realistically it was a stinking hot day, with hoards of icky flies, harsh winds, and smoke filled skies from the KI bushfires
But we still had a good time hopping in and out of our air conditioned geo mobile!
Another welcoming cache adventure.

Today I decided to come for a drive from Port Broughton with my muggle sister to find a few caches in and around Snowtown. [^]
Stopped at the given coordinates, did the calculations, ended up in the right street and very soon after the cache was found.
Thanks for the cache Dazzatron.

Welcome to Snowtown indeed. Always good to have a simple multi welcoming me! Thanks for placing the cache Dazzatron.
Data collection was straightforward although there was little ambiguity as to how the data needed to be processed to get one of the values. We must have made the right decision because after a short drive, accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Dazzatron for the cache.
Found in the company of Freddo, e.gregory1, Team Waldron, occasional cacher out of retirement SteadyOn and muggle friend Tony on our way back home from an awesome trip to the Simpson Desert, staying at Coober Pedy, then camping out at Dalhousie Springs, three nights in the Simpson Desert, Birdsville, Clayton Bore and Aroona Valley. Thanks for the cache Dazzatron!
Found as part of an extended trip with FeatherWaite, Freddo, Team Waldron and a couple of non-caching friend that saw us travel from Adelaide to Coober Pedy, through the Painted Desert to Oodnadatta, then on to Dalhousie and Mount Dare, before crossing the Simpson Desert to Birdsville and then back down to Adelaide via Marree and the Flinders Ranges.
We had pretty good weather, with moderately warm days and cool nights, but plenty of flies!
It was great to be able to find some remote caches in some really interesting and scenic locations.
Thanks Dazzatron for the cache.

So after a great weekend of fun, frivolity and food in Quorn we packed up camp and headed back home to Adelaide. We took the scenic route and found 33 caches on our way plus adding 5 new dnfs to our tally.
It was quite overcast but we didn't get wet so that was a bonus. It was nice to see some of these small country towns although we were quite underwhelmed by the Golden North factory at Laura we had been expecting something much grander and a nice ice cream cafe! We had a nice packed lunch at Wirrabra and finally arrived home at 6pm in time to cook a roast supper.
Thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Quorn another part of the state we would like to explore further.
This was our last find for the day. The hound was exhausted by now and didn't even want to get out, he was very happy that we didn't stop any more after this one. Did the calcs from the car and then to GZ where the cache was spied from the car. TFTC Dazzatron and another multi in our challenge tally.

Did the numbers and made a quick find at go although it was in other side of road to where god indicated.
Left Adelaide in the dark so i would have extra caching time since i planned to do a number of multis on the first day as well as all the trads i passed before i ran out of time. This was the first cache of the holiday. I had done the information part in my last trip but phone didn't want to do the bearing so that was done on the computer. quick find. replaced the container, it had perished due to UV rays, log book was fine.
Day 1
Adelaide to port Augusta.
This trip saw me travel to Maralinga to do the tour of the nuclear test site then up the Googs track, past lake Gairdner on to Mount Ive station, then in to the Gawler Rangers and finally hiking up Mount Remarkable before heading home.

Yet another Puzzled Puzzlers Wednesday Wander. Today's crew was myself, Blackadders, S.A. Sewer Rats and Doctor Owl. Our target was to wind our way up to Lochiel and try and rectify a few DNF's racked up in the past. As usual things didn't go exactly to plan and there were detours and laughs but we also got some caching done.
Although we were running out of time before we needed to head back South we found enough time to try some multi caches. With the 500 multi cache challenge out there these are back in vogue. The cache was a quick find but it has seen better days and succumbed to uv cancer and is very brittle. Just didn't have a replacement with me..sorry Dazza.
**Thanks Dazzatron for this cache. **

One in the group had been here, and gathered the info and worked out the coords.

Didn't we have a lovely day, the day we went to Snowtown.
Had finds on the way, 3 DNFs for the day, 5 DNFs off the books, hurray!
And after a rest, we wandered to Ness, and we answered a question on pink ground.
Collecting the smiles as we ate up the miles and the caches got found!
A nice quick multi, as the hard work had already been done by another in the group. The cache container was UV damaged and the lid broke apart in Owl's wings. The Starmobile was empty of caching supplies - sorry! (But you're welcome to the earworm composed on the way home!)

Out for a daytrip with the geofamily and stopping along the highway to grab some finds. I solved this last time we were in town 2 and a half years ago but took my bearings from the wrong point so good to put a smiley against it. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Snowtown to Kadina.
Before leaving this morning we set out to find a couple of caches.
We collected the information the day before so it was a matter of park & grab today.
Thanks for placing this cache Dazzatron

The final day of the year, and a great sunny day too. On holiday in the area so whatever better holiday activity is there than geocaching? which is exactly what I was doing today. I really enjoy multi's, they are always interesting and this one was no exception.
Many thanks for placing the cache.

I found the sign OK !!
Welcome indeed [^]
Time to scribble down the numbers and work out where to head next
Suprisingly I got an answer that fitted the clue first time [:o)]
So off I trekked .... and got the geomobile coated in more brownish red sticky mud
Future finders should approach GZ from the north in wet weather
At a very vague GZ, I hopped out to poke a few trees for a cache and found none
I wandered further afield and in about the sixth place I looked, there was the really obvious hiding spot and the cache
TFTC Dazzatron !!

I have to admit first up that I solved this one before making the trip up from Adelaide
So, when we rolled in to Snowtown it was one of two must-visit caches for us. Alex-thesquirrel drove us to the spot and we made a quick find. The cache (incl. lid) was badly damaged, so we replaced it [same 'brand', slightly smaller - still fits in the 'small' cache category].
Thanks for an enjoyable cache and an excuse to stop on our way up to Port Augusta! TFTC

Another easy to solve puzzle. Cache needed replacing so Bek-theraccoon and I swapped it over for one we had with us. In all the excitement of replacing the cache we forgot to sign the log. We will return to put our stamp in there soon. TFTC

Geocaching expedition with fellow Kadinian Karpy Karpyson on a sparkling spring day, covering Port Broughton through to Snowtown. 33rd find of the day. Wasn't too keen on doing the other Snowtown multicaches but thought this one was a tad more straightforward. Managed to easily utilise my Maths teaching skills and soon drove in the direction of the 'direction'. Soon found it. TFTC Dazzatron! Lid was brittle so when I put it back on, it broke. Thought you should know.
found in the company of Limbage who did all the workings out on this one ...thanks for the hunt ..Dazzatron .. lid cracked as it was closed ..has become brittle .

After running the PSA series, we decided to just pick off some targets of opportunity while wandering the countryside on our way back to Port Pirie. The fields are green and gold with wheat and canola, displaying the country's colours beautifully. Thanks for all the great caching in the area.
We stopped at this one on our way into town to have a look at "the bank" which probably has some of the town's most notable history in the past 20 years. I made the projection from GZ, and we picked up GC3308K prior to coming to the final for this cache. School was letting out as we passed it, but we seemed to be invisible to the locals. TFTC.

We enjoyed this multi. We got all the details from the cool of the car and then headed off to GZ. A bit of guess work as our gps skills are that great, but we still found it.

Rocky Glen Grommets have taken a couple of days off school to cache with Grom 2 whilst Grom1 is on school camp - needed to phone our brainstrust to check "bearing" but we worked out the distance exactly - rewarded with a find for Grom2 and a pathtag! Left a couple of keyrings to fill the cache. Thanks Dazza!
We got the distance bit of the puzzle worked out but had a bit of trouble with the bearing. However, with the help of the clue and a previous log about goats we managed to find the cache. We swapped a pathtag. Thanks Dazzatron
Tacker 4 enjoyed chatting with some goats in the paddock next to the cache while we signed the log.
Thank you for the multi. I like a bit of arithmetic with my caching from time to time.

Hello dazza, just to let you know that the final cache location has to be updated, the trees near the site have been removed and the nitre bush mowed to the ground.Have been informed that container is on the other side of road.
Kids love the country town caches as they are not eclipse containers as they love a few swaps. TFTCSL Left GC
I saw an identical sign at another entrance but decided to do the projection from WP1! I had looked at a map of town previously so knew pretty much which way to go. In the end it wasn't that hard, thanks Dazzatron.
Another one we had to do maintenance on so I signed the log while there... Thanks Dazz for the cache
Done a bit of maintenance on the cache as was in bad need of it. Replaced the whole thing.
Staying at Clare for a short visit with Klems Mob. Took keyring. Left pack of cards. T.F.T.C.
Had fun with this one while on a short holiday caching with Briben. Thank goodness for the cryptic clue and that our "Phone a friend" (son) was home as we would never have found the correct location. As it was I think we now know almost every street in Snowtown. Left a koala keyring and a klem bear and took a coca cola keyring. TFTC

what a nice welcome...tood a while but found it eventually TFTC and the tour of town
Found the sign, got the numbers, did the calculation, so far, so good.
What do mean no map of this town? Followed the arrow on the GPS (Haven't done that for a while!)
How come none of these streets go all the way through?
Eventually found our street, and the right side of it.
Thanks, Robmc.

A challenging welcome to this quiet town. We did the maths, and then tried to find the road we needed to be on. No on line maps for this town but we found it in the end after driving around a while.
Our projection was a little out as we first searched on the wrong side of theroad. Got it after reading the logs again.
Thanks Dazzatron.

Very happy to finally try out a projection cache with the Oregon, which will happily project down to the nearest 10cm, apparently! Found without too much trouble while the kids bleated at us from across the road. Pathtag in and pathtag out.
I've always enjoyed projection type multi's. We had the Eee PC with us, so used Ozi to give us the final coords.
Mrs J loved the final location, with a dozen or so of one of her favourite animals over the road. A few of them are ready to drop as well!
Thanks D & M.

With the temperature hovering around 43C, this was stretching the grey matter today. Eventually we all agreed on something resembling one answer which thankfully led us to within a couple of metres of GZ. Thankyou for organising the multi and teaching us a thing or four about Snowtown. No swaps today. Cheers & TFTC!
