Wonder what this place was used for? Saw a beautiful rainbow finch upon approaching location tftf!
Im back in Darwin visiting family. We came to Casuarina Beach to walk the family dog so I decided to come here first. Good to see no long grass so it was an easy walk to gz which is a strange area - I wonder what it was?I was initially looking for something related to the name of the cache but after a few minutes, spotted the rusty old mint tin at the bot. Last signatures were last year. All good here. Nice to find another old one. Tftc
Headed over to Darwin for a break with tmann421.Really enjoying the weather and the challenges of the hides.Logs signed tm/ww NZNice quick find here .Thanks to the cache owner for their efforts
Nice time out with woolwood9 today. Day 5 of our 9 days in and around Darwin. We had a tougher day with quite a lot of DNF'sSL *tm/ww NZ* *Thanks for the reason to visit this area of Darwin!* Hot walk, quickly found by ww9, while I tried to navigate the fallen trees.
Fucking he'll this one was in a dodgy location and in a restricted area. I wouldn't advise looking here!
Walking up to this cache I surprised a couple of fluffy, hoppy things that sounded like elephants when they took off into the bush. If you just heard them and not seen them you would have been looking to take cover!
Found the cache, the logbook looked like it had seem better days so I placed a new book in the bag after signing it.

Day 63 of our greynomad trip up north from Vic, after a the JLWEvents in Wudinna SA, a tour of Maralinga and caching to claim LGAs in the Eyre Peninsula, through to Allice Springs, Uluru and now Nth NT, we have finally escaped the southern weather that has been wet and windy. Not sure that we are acclimatised to the northern heat yet as we are feeling it by early afternoon, but out sightseeing and caching in the morning. It is also day 62 of a streak, so we would like to keep it rolling.
Spotted a few caches of interest in this area, so we've headed out. Took a bit of searching but got there eventually.

Today we walked and walked in Casuarina Coastal Reserve along the many trails, finding Darwin's first 'power' trial and completing it along with some other caches in the reserve. Some caches were easier to find than others, some were in prickly bush areas, others searching amongst the debris. Happy to find after a previous DNF. TFTC
Today we did some Geocaching at East Point, Nightcliff, and Lee Point. We made 2 ACLs and some traditionals. This was one of the traditional caches. Thanks for hiding this one and as always TFTC, MumDad2000
It was a pretty easy find, just be careful of the fallen trees, they break pretty easily!
We decided to walk just a little further from the last one and came to find this one. A curious area with many broken fences. I wonder what this area was used for in the past?
After some searching, we found what we were seeking and have added our name to the log.
Thanks NTSTROM

On my way to Perth via Darwin with a few detours for LGAs. TFTC.
Spent a bit of time looking in the wrong spot. Found with a short search.

We couldn't find anything.
Then we phoned with a friend and we decided to replace it.
So there is now a new eclipse tin at the base of the big tree.

###Cache Owner Action Needed###
This cache has been brought to my attention as likely to be missing.
After a string of successful Finds, it has now had a string of DNFs. I agree that this certainly suggests that something has happened at the cache location which requires investigation by the CO.
I am going to Disable it, and I'll check back in 4 weeks to see if either
- the CO has checked or rectified the apparent problem
- the CO has communicated when action will be taken
If the CO has not taken either of these actions, then regrettably the cache will be archived.
The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is out there to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.
Thank you

DNF I might be really clueless and distracted by the mosquitoes though haha
Unfortunately, this place is pretty much trashed but the cache is in good conditions,

Groet team Geo Burgt.

Happy to find this CACGE on the second visit. Much easier with the sun shining through the trees to see itTFTC
No siting of something described to be easy to view and identified with the name. The area has been well used as a campsite recently though. Maybe next time.
Searched the area, but sadly a DNF for us here today. [8)] Hopefully we were just cache blind again.
Thanks anyway NTSTROM

An interesting tramp through some thick jungle only to find the easy way going out the other way. Oh it always seems to happen this way. TFTC TNLN.
Located. The cache container didn't appear to have a log but adjacent there was one. The log started to fall to bits as I pulled it out.

It looks like that fresh branches installed...searched for a while but I don't have time to continue so gave up. Thanks.
A strange little compound to protect a pile of coppers logs. Well, not really protect as the gate was wide open. Thanks NTSTROM.
Thank you for the cache and helping me explore this lovely area - the log has become very fragile.
Today we explored Darwin and surrounds using geocaching as a guide.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Log scroll is awfully water damaged, can't see anybody's names but very cool hide. I love this area and we had a massive bush trek to find it which was beautiful, however it's mosquito-ville. Definitely should've brought some repellent. Thanks for the hunt
Found cache quite quickly ut then the fun began. LumpyR took it back to the car as it needed some TLC. although he had most of his worshop in the car there was no way he could get into the log. as a result we attached another small container to the origonal cache with a new log. TFTC.
Found but unable to open, have taken pic as proof of find if required, bit scary bush bashing on my own but still good exercise, TFTC
Out for an early morning walk along the foreshore and this was a quick find. Unfortunately the beat is rusted shut and I didn't have my normal kit with me to try and unscrew it! Needs a bit of TLC.

Nice hide! It was getting dark when we were looking for this one so it was a bit spooky! Needs some maintenance as the log is damp and crumbling, we signed as best as we could. TFTC
That was a good fun find. The container was a bit hard to open luckily one of our group had accessorised with a brand name multitool
Wet log. Needs replacement. We fit the date and asterix on the log only. Found with nk64, zeedda and mafiagrl. Last one for the day.
Must be left over from the fence building - a surreal find. Great title. Log is getting wet and worn.
Mr richlink and Mr iluvtrekking made a quick find walking from here to Lee Point. Cute cache container. Thanks NTSTROM.
Geo-hubby and Mr iluvtrekking decided to walk from this cache to Lee Point collecting caches along the way. Bit of a scorcher but they enjoyed the challenge - and the terrain to get to gz was certainly a challenge. They liked the container!
Today, we drove out to Lee Point to do some caches in the area.
Once you see the cache, it's really obvious.
But finding it, is another story.
Thanks for the cache, NTSTROM.

We came to this area to do a number of caches here. We walked over from the car park to the compound and then saw it. Hope it keeps the water out. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

Pretty quick find once I got to the GZ. I can't help but wonder what the history of this place is.

Today we have decided to do the CCR Trail & heading out to Lee Point.
This was a bonus cache that we found near our starting point. After making my way through the bush to this logged in area, I could see the cache it seemed to whistle Stop Here.
Thanks NTSTROM

Weird things were happening in this area of the CCR this Sunday morning [:o]
As I rode me pushbike into the carparking area a car slowly followed me.
Of course once I went cross country the driver couldn't follow.
Out of sight I found a place of solitude and treated pine logs.
The cache was a nice easy find
Returning to the car park another car had appeared and when the occupants spied me appearing out of the scrub ... both sped off [:o]
I reckon this bit of the CCR and it's little used car park may be a "beat" [:o]
Ugggh !!
