Found in 2016, Another great historical cache location and description bites the dust, sad to see this one go with what was really a simple fix and didn’t even have a dnf on it. RIP may you join your rock icon

Found it!
A great location with a fantastic view.
As stated by previous loggers the cache needs maintenance.
The tin is missing the lid and the contents are rusty and the log soaked.
Impossible to sign. I didn’t replace the log as there is no point until container is renewed.

Thanks for a great multi, Ive never noticed the mural before despite driving past it numerous times, and neither had I been to GZ. Surprised there aren't more caches around here. Logbook soaked and unsignable, didn't have a replacement on me unfortunately. Took photo as evidence of my find today with Deefa71. Fave point. TFTC
Found it but the container is missing it’s lid and the log is soaked. Familysteiner took a photo. What an awesome place! Tftc
Well I am even close to the great hint but it seems I need to msg CO cos I think something, like the entire hide may be missing... So off until I get a reply... I'd hate for my WA find to be a DNF!
A nice and easy multi, a great tribute and beautiful location for the final, a favourite! A quick find here today as I had a bit of spare time in the area. Thank you for the cache tangowithcupcake.
With our bicycles on tour through Perth and along the Swan River. It is a fantastic landscapes and we like it to collect some caches.
Here we can find the cache after collecting the information.
Thank you and greetings from Germany send Moorhelmi

Souvenir time so a little road trip to Metro for us country folk collecting caches and therefore points.
Having got my needed 500 points yesterday I had all these extra caches on my list so today it was grab a few as we leisurely make our way home.
I only first saw this multi the other week (probably as I'm rarely Freo way so don't bother looking at caches here) and well what can I say but a very easy subject matter.
Tho having said that a lady we talked to down the beach last night had not heard of him or the band. She doesn't like rock 'n' roll but still I was flabbergasted when she said it.
We saw the band a couple of years ago, the last time they were here but naturally not with this lead singer
A while in Freo overnight just had to call down to the harbour and get myself a pic of Freo's Famous Son
Anyway a simple solve and today a very easy find in a lovely location. They have some nice views. Even the police like to use the location with one officer doing stretches on the bench

Pollythecollie had the coordinates worked out before we arrived a GZ so all had to do is make the find. Quickly had the cache in hand
Thanks for the hide worked out the coordinates on the drive up (I was a passenger) made the find after a beer at the left bank.
Wow, I never knew there was a path along the cliff. Great views of the river. Found the rusty mint tin. Thanks for the cache.

Had a drive down the coast today for Sunday lunch at Left Bank. Most enjoyable Knew there was this multi close by so had a look before eating. I was hoping to ID him without the help of Google but no joy! So instead I found out the necessary info and number crunched a new GZ while waiting for food next door After lunch I hopped back in the car for the short drive. What a lovely hidden little area! And I had the whole place to myself Had a wander round reading some info boards before focussing in on GZ. Not many options once there so made a very quick find even though the natural rusty camo works a treat! Great little multi this, with a lovely location at the end. Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC
Quickly solved this puzzle from the warmth and comfort of home the other day. While in Freo last night, I made the find of this cache, which blended in well with its surroundings so well that it took me about 5-10 minutes of searching before I came up trumps! Thanks for the cache and puzzle tangowithcupcake!
Great to find this one. I think this is the rustiest cache container I’ve found. A favourite as the view is gorgeous
Trying to clean up this area and put some more smiley faces around. Glad to say that this was a quick find tftc
After a morning out with Neva2old we continued on our way to grab a few more smilies, happy to say we came up trumps after doing the maths and walked away with a smilie TFTC
In Perth to 'play ball' - unfortunately not AFL but workshops. Oh well. Got coords for GZ, but cover was a touch too much for my gps, so I applied geosense. Found. TFTC twcc
Parked right at GZ and spotted the image. Who is that? I had a few ideas but decided to wonder off and ponder it. Then I actually read the info. Got it. Some maths done and off I wondered to GZ. I had no clue this was here. A lovely little area so have a fav.
My GZ was very unlikely but soon I spotted the likely hide. The cache lid is about to cave in but otherwise all is good. TFTC

I was caching in North Freo and I told myself I'd go home and get stuff done after just one more song. But then Dream Theater came on and I knew I had time to cross the bridge and try a few more haha. Puzzle was good fun and the answer was obvious to me. A really nice area of Perth that I've never explored properly, so it was good to check it out. TFTC!
What an absolutely gorgeous area, and which I didn’t know about before. It also completes all the metro area LGA finds for me, plus 101 consecutive days of finds so I reckon this is a fitting one to put my feet up and listen to the relevant hits.
Having belted out the alter version of one of this bands greatest hit for the 2nd time yesterday at the footy
Thought it was about time to grab this multi today.
What a fantastic little part of east freo. That we didn’t know about, even though mum lives just around the corner
Happy to say all is well with hide, which is blending in quite nicely

Thanks for your work setting this nice wee puzzle up. Your log is in good nick and cache container hanging in there.
Circular tour around Swan river picking up geocaches when we can, quick find once at the correct location
Ironic that I had just been doing a nearby multi on the exact same subject matter, so knew what it was about straight away.
Container now blends in with its surrounds. No trouble with the find, but didn't get the hint. TFTC tangowithcupcake.

Figuring out the cache location before arriving, but still taking the time to view the mural on the way to GZ, once there it was a quick find once I knew what to look for , working out the hint after finding though.
Thanks for punting our this mural and putting a cache here

Being a local, figuring out the rock icon came easy. But the co-ordinates were another story as this was out first multi! After sitting in the car for about 20 minutes trying to figure it out, we think we had it so went to check it out and found it! Thanks for introducing us to this amazing area. Lived in Bicton for years and never even knew it existed.
One question; what is the 'close to another star' hint in reference to?

Being familiar with the subject matter made for an easy solve of the puzzle. Took a bit longer to find the cache as the size was a bit misleading. Thanks for bringing us to this lovely area.

Megawat60 must have taken all the ants home with him because we did not see any. Nice easy puzzle & a lovely place. TFTC
Didn't fully read the page and consequently had to walk back into Fremantle for some for wifi. Drove back later and found the container quickly.
Yay a puzzle or multi that I can solve, and have had this on my list for ages. Today being in the vacinity we decided to stop and grab and sign the log.
Boy ants everywhere, there must have been in excess of a trillion ants all rushed out of the container and was quite crazy running everywhere. The log was quite full as well and starting to disintergrate, so I replaced one in a new ziplockbag.
Thanks for this hide and multi Tango.

~Tango~, I found your multi cache Rock icon dry, but log sheet is full . SL Thank you for the multi and TFTH. Image shows: Facing west (altitude: 40m) towards North Fremantle and Stirling Hwy Bridge.
I worked out the coordinates a few weeks ago and this morning was my first chance to swing by here for a look. Took only a few seconds before I worked out where the cache was. I have never been in this park before and I was very impressed by it. I wish I lived close by as there are some magnificent houses in this area. Thanks for the cache Tango. I signed in a faded area where someone had signed many months ago.
Had a few spare hours with a nice early day from work, with Cravo10 busy at his shop I decided to stroll down to Fremantle and have a crack at this multi that's sat a bit too long untouched. Glad to finally have it knocked off.
I'll try to drop by soon with a new log book as this one does need to be replaced even though there is still some space in it if you're creative!
Thanks tango!
The final is a ripper spot too! Add fav

Solved the questions at home prior to the start of our caching day. Easy find with 2 clueless. Log needs replacing. TFTH.
Managed to complete this while on the train as I had been to the mural previously. Made my way from TBC#45 to the final LOC passing the awesome mural. Got to GZ and the cache was netted in the second place I looked.
!!NOTE TO CO!!
The LOG is as full as a bull,
I managed to find a small spot to sign but needs replacing very soon.
Many thanks go to tangowithcupcake, I found your cache Rock icon. On 23 September 2016 at 6:46 PM. All is well here. This is my find # 478 TFTH! NZJESTER

Out for a day caching with a great team partner, happy to see the weather held off just for us.tftc, sl,tnln. thanks Tango.
Had a Christmas in July lunch at the Eat Greek restaurant up the road and had this one picked out for my GCHQ 10+ favourite point souvenir. Worked out the coords last night as subject matter is not foreign to me at all.
With bellies bursting we arrived at GZ and a had a quick find of the pretty rusty container. The log book is pretty chockers, sorry didn't have a spare with me.
~Tango~ I found your cache at 2:30pm, this was the 1st of 1 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 3327. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Found on a quick trip to Perth for the dawn service with Outnabout. Once again we are reminded why we love geocaching. This however was a double bonus finding a Mural we would have never known was there let alone the delightful hidden waterway. TFTC.
Well this is another one of those caches that can take credit for showing us something that we wouldn't have seen if not for geocaching. Not once but twice as the final location is a hidden gem. An Anzac Day ale at the Left Bank gave me time to solve the puzzle and make the hunt. Thanks for the effort on this one.
Great spot. Love the view. Love the sound of the water. Love the man and the band.
In the area with WebblyWA today, we made a slight detour to find this one, previously solved. A coincidence as I visited the Rock Icon's likeness only today. Made the find here, a lovely spot which brought back some memories. TFTC ~Tango~!
What a great tribute cache that I was able to solve without the need of any help or google. Co ords were fairly spot on for us and didn't need to change numbers. Although log is full we signed the bit of paper that when in addition to the log. TFTC Tango
South coordinates are out needs 0.010 degrees added to result, also needs a new log.
What can i say its a great spot i would have found before, unfortunately i wasted a bit of time on this one due to a 20 meter error in GZ, at first i approached from the correct side but it sent me down, so i drove around and realized it was more likely where i was before. Once back upside i made a quick find due to the cache description. Thanks -Tango- cache is in good condition but it needs a new log.
Found it after three searches in areas we thought it would be - needs more log paper soon - thanks for the cache
Not sure if this is going to be a repeat found it message but the icons not changed - We found this cache today - TFTC
I was in the area today and decided to try tackle this cache. I parked near GZ and had a look at the mural, after a quick check with google, I had the final Coords. Stopped at the DOME cafe on the way to GZ. Once at GZ, I found the Cache right away.
~Tango~, I found your cache ‘Rock icon’ today. It was the First of five finds and brings my total count to 316. The cache was found in a good condition so I signed the log book and replaced it as I found it. Thanks for the hide and for bringing me to this awesome location.

Thought I knew Freo pretty well but I've never been to this spot before! What a find. Tricky to get to and to get out of on a bike without engaging low gear Nice simple multi and no googling required for this fan of dirty deeds (done dirt cheap). Quick find at GZ with great co-ords. Thanks for the cache and bringing me to this place.
Perfect spot to just pass the time. I love living here in WA. Nice walk from the Rock icon but make sure you add the baby ducks to your journey. TFTC
A great spot to sit and enjoy the views. Nice multi found with IQO. TFTC Tango.

So interesting and certainly remember acca dacca. Views from cache site spectacular but all the freo flags flying at half mast were hard to take. Tftc!
I really enjoyed this multi and particularly enjoyed the final. I did have to explain to Geokid exactly who the subject was! He was familiar with some of the music though! Thanks ~Tango~
McLookers did the calculations on this one and GZ was a very cool spot. Thanks for the multi and for the cool view.
This cache was placed in the most beautiful spot. Have never driven up here before and it was a perfect place for a hide! TFTH

I must admit I didn't go to the first part of this multi but worked out the final location many years ago and just haven't had the chance to have a crack at it. Today after a visit to Freo I had some spare time and managed to talk the better half into coming and having a look for the cache. I nice stroll and some great views brought us to GZ where an easy find was made. TFTC.
Even though I'm a born and bred Fremantle boy i have never been to this spot! It's lovely! TFTC and thanks for bringing me here!
Solved this one a while back, so on an extended lunch break dropped in to grab this one. Beautiful place at GZ, stopped for a while to enjoy the view. Love a good multi and this is one such. Have a fav point sir. TFTC.
After a coffee at Freo we decided to stop and grab this one . It had been sitting in my solved/to do list for some time and it is nice to finally cross it off the list

Mum & Dad took us to visit the WWII Tunnels today & this cache was found on the way... TFTC ~Tango~
Headed out on this beautiful day to visit the WWII tunnels in North Fremantle & stopped to visit this cache on the way I had worked on the co-ords nearly two years ago, but at the time I had a sleeping baby in the car & I dare not wake him to search for the cache... Today we visited this lovely park & the kids enjoyed running through the winding pathways! The search took longer than it should have, discounting the obvious spot as we thought were looking for a container a little larger than what we ended up finding
This is popular theme for us & we enjoyed visiting the location too... Thanks ~Tango~ [^] Cache has seen better days & the log needs replacing. Sorry we did not have anything suitable with us, but we did discard all the mushed up paper which was jammed in the bottom of the container.

Lovely day for bike ride, coffee, then a walk up the hill to admire the view. Log is a bit damp and quite full.
Came out on an early moring wander after solving this cool puzzle last night. It was a quick and easy find in the end and I could sit and relax in front of the awesome view at about 06:00 this morning.

900th cache yeh. love the view found the hard way 45 steps. day out with lbjezza & baby lbjezza.
Huge fan, had to do this one. Great view out on a Friday arvo. First type of this cache for me.
Found over two days. A nice spot we would never have otherwise found. Thanks!
I gathered the clues to this one and crunched the numbers in the comfort of the hotel room last night. On the way home from work today, I figured it was too close to leave, so I swung by for a scout around... [^]
Wandering through the area, I came across a group of girls having a picnic in the dark... Fair enough I thought as I powered on to GZ and quickly snared the cache from a likely spot. I made use of the convenient seat for business, tucked the container back, then snapped a couple of pics with the sun long gone...
A nice place to visit while in town.
Cheers tangowithcupcake.

I had seen this rock icon under the bridge on a previous trip to the Left Bank for lunch, but at the time I did not realise that it was part of a multi cache. I didn't instantly recognise the face but after some deep reflective thought I came to the conclusion that it could only really be one rocker. And of course I knew which band he was from, so after soing the math it all made sense and I had some plausible coordinates. I was pleasantly surprised by the view on offer at the final and the physical cache was quite easy to find. Thanks for this pleasantly surprising multi tangocupcake
I stopped to get this cache on my way to Como with Kristybelle and Ben_Was_1992. I had already worked out the co-ords the night before so once i parked the car it was a short uphill walk to GZ. Once there the cache was soon found. TFTC tangowithcupcake
