Yeah ! It's leap year day and we are setting ourselves a personal challenge. To date we have only ever found 3 distinct cache types in a day. Today we aim to smash that and this is the fifth cache to get us there.
We did this little puzzle and found the cache easily. Thanks topgear01 for helping us get there. You get a favourite for helping us.

Wow almost a year since this was last found. Worked out puzzle before coming to Nelson and walking dog this evening made a quick find with nobody around. Thanks for the puzzle and thanks for the cache .
A rainy day for the last day of the year and so we needed a cache that was automobile accessible! A bit of googling and we were on the right track. No muggles because of the weather so a quick park and grab. We like these caches. TFTC
In Nelson for the weekend and decided to pick up some caches today that would help us towards our GIO Licence.
Puzzle was fun and the cache find was relatively easy as we have seen a few like this one before.

I needed a bit of help from Aunty Google for me to solve this one and picking a Sunday morning to visit the GZ was certainly the right thing to do as we had the place to ourselves. Quickly spotted the likely hiding area, and took a few minutes to have a look around before both Miss N and myself clapped eyes on something a little out of place.
Thanks

A big days Geocaching has been planned for today with a plethora of solved puzzles, some B G S C caches to collect and graduate from, along with some good company in the shape of the Seagnoid, a caching buddy from Manawatu. Seagnoid also has some solved puzzles to find and I have some he hasn't found and....oh you get the picture.
A plan was hatched last night for an OH 6.30 start, after breakfast and caches were downloaded to respective G P S's, deleted, reloaded etc. Loads of faff. The forecast was a bit dodgy, high winds and possible rain so maybe tomorrow might be a better option, but when did a Geocacher make the right call and turn down a days caching? There was a virtual, some Earthcaches, numerous puzzles and some unfound Trads that either or both of us had not previously found, quite a balancing act and lots of miles and time consumed today. Graduated in a couple of Project G C badges too and got past 2600 caches so all in all a successful days caching.
Easy find today and an interesting puzzle

TFTC. Out to play for the weekend with the destination of Nelson. Caching crew on board were Karma Reprint, Team_Gaters and TheWanglers, logged as PKTT for this trip. Gosh did we have fun looking for caches, most of which we found, in this very beautiful part of our country.
Oh no day 2 of our Nelson cachathon. Today was about tidying up a few loose ends, having a great time and heading for home. Four very excited kids!!
Thanks topgear01 for creating the puzzle and placing the cache.

On a big mission up to Nelson over Show Weekend with Purdiepurdie, Karma Reprint and Team_Gaters we signed our cache finds as PKTT the 'power packet' but we called ourselves the 'G4'. We headed off on Friday morning at 4.30am. We had a mission that we wanted to perform in Nelson and this was the day to attempt it. After a good nights sleep we headed out for the day for more laughs, caches and poke our noses here and there, driving and memory making. It was a great day we didn't stop until about 11.30pm back to base for a cuppa and relax and getting ready to do it all again tomorrow!
Quick puzzle. Quick find, onto the next...
Thanks for the cache.

[green] Hired a car and set off to do a puzzle run of Nelson. I had solved over 30 puzzles over the past few weeks, and decided today was the day to tick them off. So a puzzle only day, no traditionals allowed! And just to make sure, I only loaded the puzzles into my GPS.
Given the title I headed straight to the big rock at GZ and was surprised it wasn't there. Pull out the GPS - Ahh. Assumptions. Get you every time.

An easy puzzle to solve but we are always pleased when theres a geochecker to confirm our findings. After checking into our accommodation closeby we headed out to find a few more around the area. A quick find once we moved our focus.
The GPS had us at 10m while at GZ. Glad we tried this one under the cover of darkness and shocked to see it was last found in October!! Thanks for the cache

Solved this one a very long time ago, but GZ was always too busy when I visited. Luckily the timing was right the other night and I had the coords loaded. TFTC
Makka pakka 2 went out to see what he could find to day. Nice quick cache TFTC
In town for a wee holiday to catch up with Mr G's brother who's visiting from Oz. A nice wee puzzle that was quick to solve. Passing by during the day so stopped off for a look. Found the cache by the hint....co-ords a good 10m off for me. Thanks for the fun puzzle and hide. Cheers.
Easy puzzle, just how we like them Got to GZ and the rain poured!! Spied the cache and made a quick grab before running back to the car. Signed and replaced in amongst the passing muggles, thanks!!!
Ah found it easily this time. Not a huge fan of hides on this sort of equipment.
Cheers Gav

Solved puzzle some time ago and was only just in the area on a quick trip heading back to Picton for our Ferry Crossing. Miss Geckoh put Mr Geckoh to shame on this one and had the cache in hand whilst he had his back to it. TFTPC

GPS had me looking in the same place as last time with no luck. Cache was actually about 10 meters away but found eventually. With a little help from the hint.
My last find in Nelson before flying home; quiet and no muggles on Sunday p.m.
Interesting quiz, TFTC.

Solved this puzzle last night so decided to try a nice early park and grab before heading off into work this morning. Coordinates spot on and proved to be an easy find. TFTC
Should have quit after 12 in a row, couldn't find this one in the dark with dying torch batteries
Really enjoyed the puzzle but made me a little nervous about the final location. Lived to log the find so all good. TFTC
Found after walking the airport perimeter. The GPS was going beserk but found it relatively quickly. TFTC.
Relatively easy find, just on dark, and with no headlight. First find on what turned out to be a night caching run with Hazedarus. TFTC.
Just on dark. Caching with Holymu. Not a hard find just a bit surprised about where. TFTC
Quick find and a nice puzzle. Also a nice hide, although I'm not a fan of caches hidden on these as they can be dangerous. TFTC!!!
After getting hung up on the "stone", a quick read of the cache, and some encouragement from the C.O., back to quickly find the familiar container. If only I had spotted that on round one. Now to flip over the N.D. vinyl....thanks Matt for nice themed cache.
Not too proud to log a DNF...I do it often. But now I see I was looking for wrong size container. I will return. Must get a better "on the go system" or gps !!
We had this one figured out for a while,So decide today we would try it,What do you know we actually had it right,Thanks for the cache
On an overnight trip to Nelson #8 find today. Quick find as I have one of these back home. Signed log. TFTC
Puzzle took me back to my youth & was also relieved to gather the cache on visit to Nelson. Let's rock on!
Figured out this one pretty easily, I enjoy figuring out Mystery caches on wet winter days.
Being old enough to remember most of these artists in their prime we enjoyed solving the puzzle. The hunt at GZ took a bit longer than it should have, but we got there in the end. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.

Finally found this today, about 200m from my office. Only took me about 4 visits TFTC
Solved this cache a while back, arrived at final GZ and it was muggle central, so sat in the car for a few minutes waiting for the muggles to move on, once they were gone a quick grab and sign and I was on my way again. Thanks for the nice little puzzle, and a great little spot for the final. TFTC TNLNSL (2462)
Another quickish find by StreetWalker, he was on fire this morning. Good camo.

#1630 (2/13 on day 1 in Nelson). GZ did look like it had recently been worked on, which made us think maybe the cache had gone. Also, if moneydork and rediguana couldn't find it then surely it was gone? Turned out it wasstill there, and easy enough to find. TFTC.
I'm sure we were in the right spot, however some of it seems to have been cleared.
Didn't find the cache.
Didn't find the cache.
We had a good look at GZ, which appears to have had a gardening workover. It was hard to tell from the hint whether the cache is still there or may have been disrupted by non-cacher activities at GZ. Cheers Gav
This one was causing a few problems for us GPS was taking us away from GZ !!! hunted high and low at gps GZ with no avail !!!! Returned back to where we would have hidden the cache and still no joy. Went over and over the area then (after removing sunglasses) it all became clear Thanks for the cache
Had a night of solving puzzle/multi caches and today was finish off day gps was not putting us in the right place today but eventually found and signed thanks for the cache
I remember solving this ages ago, must have forgotten to bag it.
Used to work just down the street.

One of those days where you arrive at GZ and make an instant find. Shame it didn't happen on the other 2 days I looked. Maybe just third time lucky! TFTC
Found it "with a little help from my friends"! After 3 visits I finally clicked. Thanks Topgear, good fun. TFTC.
quick find today. had to do some more research. first lot had me up in the mountains.tftc
Mr Beanso was deeply disappointed to see his favourtie muscian of all time, Van Morrison, was well down the list !!!! Never mind, just found out the "Grumpy Old Man of Music" became a father again yesterday. Not bad for 62 years old !!!! ... TFTC
This cache hide was just like the proverb..... of the same title......
Quick find.
Quick find.
Our 2 year old favourite is "yellow submarine" and he does know Rolling Stones music.
I was lucky in that HelloMrs spend time solving puzzles as I was too busy organising my UK visa in our week before coming away.. A quick find of the cache.
Solved the puzzled and made an attempt at this some time ago. Didn't get very far with it so managed to consult a local oracle today (Mr KE) who kindly assisted. Thanks for the cool musical puzzle and the cache, Biggles.
The puzzle was solved shortly after it was posted. Since then I had been awaiting an opportunity to visit Nelson and sign the log. Once I reached the final location I was somewhat disappointed with the cache placement. There are possible dangers with this placement – just witness all the adjacent notices. People seem to have very short memories about what happened to those innocent children in Auckland walking on a footpath some metres away from a similar object.

Solved this one many many weeks ago and checked GE to see approx where it was, turns out that it's a "stones throw" from Mr KE's office. Decided a weekend was the best time to collect the find so stopped by today on the way home from Blenheim. Was expecting the cache to be somewhere else (photo attached) so checked the clue when the gps lead somewhere else, Mrs KE made short work of spotting the obvious hiding spot. TFTC.
A familiar spot, I used to have a summer job in this building when I was a uni student and Dad worked here as well for quite a while. It's changed a bit since then! A familiar container, I've seen a few around here now. TNLN Thanks.
We found this one rather quickly, right next to a building we used to work in, 16 years ago (Jeez!, where has the time gone)
Cheers.
Cheers.
Quick find on our way home from the weetbix triathlon at Tahuna.I'm not old enough for these to be from my era,but a great idea for a cache all the same.TFTC.
These were all our era of music, great stuff.
Found OK but some van muggle didnt like the look of us loitering on the street on a Sunday so we had to drive away and then return the cache when he left.

IMAGINE our SATISFACTION and the GOOD VIBRATIONS when we found the cache. Great cache Matt. Many thanks. No BEETLES around.
A lovely calm, hot Nelson evening so NAVFAM decided to go for a Bike ride. Besides its BIKE WISE month so we could log some miles. Bikes were moving LIKE A ROLLING STONE until Master NAVFAM (think TEEN SPIRIT) did some jumps up the kerb and got a flat tyre. Fortunately Mr NAVFAM is always prepared for events like this so the family lesson in tyre changing ensued and then we kept GOING ON.

Out between innings in cricket to do this and another new local cache. Thought a holiday day would be a good time to try. Had an idea of what we might be looking for so this was a quick find. Back in time for the second over. TFTC
The wall full of ivy had us concerned upon arrival, but we hoped that you wouldn't have been that mean . In the end a quick find - once you have done one of this type, the eye finds it again! TFTC.
This find took me on a bit of a detour while out for a run. Subsequently, now have sore legs. Thanks Matt!!! Top ten all waaaaay before my time. TFTC
Brought back memories I was surprised at the order of The Beatles thought they would be NO 1 quick easy find TFTC

The trouble with puzzles is that often you don't know where they will end up until you solve them. It would've been better if I had taken the time to solve this before I went out yesterday! I scrolled down the first 100 to try and pick what I thought should be #1 but its too hard - different songs are number 1 for different occasions and I didn't even know some of them so they can't have been that great! Another good cache thanks. (358)
Nice One!!!!!!!! Easy find with the Grandson Bryn on a Saturday morning with not a muggle anywhere is sight. Spent some time looking at the top 500. Would have put # 47 as #1. Neat idea! Thanks
The Rolling Stones Magazine was obviously biased with at least the top two songs on the list. Being a post-modernist it makes no sense trying to create a universal top 50 as everyone has their own point of view. 10 years as a DJ in ChCh makes me think that the songs that get people dancing are hard to beat, so, maybe The Bird Dance should be no.1 :} Cheers, good fun.
Good one nice hide pleased to see this sort of cache container, I felt pretty pleased with myself to find this one, as I arrived at GZ only to find my head lamp was not with me so it was hunting by he light of the GPS its very dark their at night luckily the ( My kind of music) puzzle gave me so spot on coordinates FTF 10pm no Geo party still maybe next time TFTC
