Logs
No finds in nearly 2 years. CO not online for over 6 months. Recent logs indicate that cache may actually be 'buried' which would violate placement guidelines. Time to archive it or maintain it?
Walked from Torrent Bay today. Only a few minutes to look for this as needing to get boat pick up. GPS took me to middle of beach. Some of the bank appears to have been reclaimed by the sea. Nothing nearby looking obvious. No more time to look...
Didn't quite do my homework on this one. Thought it was going to be a sraight forward find. Did pick up a shell and dropped it off where the GPS read zero but I'm pretty sure that doesn't count. Cross with myself that I didn't allow myself more time for looking for this one.
The cache is still there -- yes, I may not have been online in over two years, but I still keep track of my caches. Best regards, Jake.
Didn't find this one. GPS pointed to a spot on the bank that seems to have fallen into the water, so maybe the cache has been washed away?
Wandered down for a look after coffee at the lodge. Didn't have much time as we had our eye on the tide. So only had a quick look, a family was picnicking right at GZ which didn't help, certainly looks like the topography here may have changed in the last 12 months. Maybe a spade might be useful.
We where looking for this cache for about 15min and we where 3 cachers. No clue where it could be and for us GZ was in the shore line and not on the dunes so we asume that the cache is in the sea and original cache spot is long gone... Please check it!
Quick find.
Thanks for the Cache.

Jogged in from road end. Cache seems to being kept quite damp from the sand etc in it. But now, tree down, sun shine may dry it out. Thanks.
Found it and introduced two work colleagues to geocaching. The tree has been felled but the cache is still there. TFTC
Went for an evening walk from the hut to the lodge, but could not locate the cache - a felled pine was at the gz, the cache possibly cleaned up by the feller? The walk was still great, just like the hot chocolate at the lodge tfth and fun getting back through the river!
found on 3rd day of hiking the track, found nice and easy, had to shoot off quicky after finding to make the next tidal crossing TFTC
Easy find with Wilson#41but no pen or pencil so we couldnt sign the book. Cache is very wet too. Could do with a better container to keep the water out.

My Batteries ran out on my GPS lucky I had an iphone to use, however not the best to use. Kept circling it until finally.
Just remembered to look for this before the boat arrived to whisk us away from Paradise. Lovely pizza for $20 to be had from the new kiosk near the Awaroa Lodge, plus backpackers accom for $50 a bed. Added a new plastic bag to the cache to try and keep the log paper dry. The container isn't very waterproof. TFTC.
Easy find in a great spot. Just finished well-earned carrot cake in the nearby restaurant after 4 days on the trail. TFTC.
Easy find on beach where we had a nice swim. However, log was extremely soggy and disintegrated as I tried to extract it. Signed but very indistinct because so wet. Unfortunately could not lay it out in sun to dry as we were with a bigger party who wanted to get moving.
Boated into Awaroa with the Logians on a glorious day. Had a picnic on the beach and watched the water taxis arrive and depart. Sobad had looked for this before lunch but went to the wrong area. Mrs Sobad walked straight to it after her picnic. Sand in cache was wet so emptied it and replaced with dry. No pencil in cache and we didn't have a spare on the boat. TNLN TFTC
Found it, although I couldn't write in the log as it was completely wet. TFTC, TNLN.
A nice walk along beach with children, they played in surf while I found it, then the kids enjoyed doing a shell swap and replaced sand in container with new sand.
was easy to find. but on the way back we want to the coffee and get lost in the darkness
We found the cache in the evening. It was dark and we walked on the beach with our headlights. After the cache we wanted to drink a coffee in the lodge but we went the wrong way.

Mr KE came in here today for a walk with his Father-in-Law, his first time walking in the park. Mr KE has been here many times and has walked most of the park, Awaroa is a very beautiful spot. The local dolphin was spotted as we arrived and the boat dropped us off within 120m of the cache so it was a very quick find. A bit surprised to be FTF as assumed that a tourist must have been here by now. We spent a few hours strolling through to Bark Bay with a stop at Tonga for lunch. A great day out. +/- coin TFTC.
Damn-i was down here today doing a fishing show for maori tv (Tangaroa With Pio) and would have done this cache if i had seen it earlier,Will have to wait for my next dive trip now.The bay is Awaroa .
