As this cache has been out of action for too long and the cache owner has not performed any maintenance, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. I noticed this cache has a string of DNFs prior to a [blue]Needs Maintenance[/blue] log which was posted in April 2014. As the cache owner has not maintained this cache in a timely manner in accordance to the guidelines, I am temporarily disabling this cache.
While I feel Geocaching.com can hold this location for a cache owner and block other caches from being placed nearby, it cannot be held forever. ie Use it or lose it.
Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the [blue]archive listing[/blue] link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.
If you plan on repairing or replacing this cache, please log a reviewer note on the cache page (not email) within the next 30 days to avoid the cache being archived due to non-communication.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Puffed our way up here with Waiiti20, but sadly could not locate after a very good search.
A lovely spot to come to, we spent a good amount of time ooking for it but no joy despite what looked like an obvious location
We had a nice walk there and were looking for it a long time. But we couldn't find it.

We sure did puff up to this one! BUT the view is beautiful. Unfortunately Kaa slipped on a wet/steep part of the track and broke her ankle in three places: a DOC worker and quad bike rescue!
Very nice View thanks for showing! I had my Breakfast at the bench next to it

Appropriate name for this cache after finding Shines big walk in the morning, walking up to this one had me puffing. Great view once there, remembered to take camera. Had to read description as GPS, zeroed out 6-8mts NW from actual cache. TFTC.
It certainly was a climb. But what a nice track with birds singing everywhere. We sat on the seat and watched the boat drop all the trampers off at Totaranui then I got up and first place I looked I found it. TFTC.
I have been to Totaranui many times, but have never walked around the Headland track where this cache is. It took a bit of finding, other logs helped.
Out for a two day hike we started with this loop in the morning. We only had the coordinates on our GPSR and no description due to no energy on our smart phone. Therefore it took a while till we found the cache at 10.00 a.m. even though it could be easy. But anyhow it offered a nice view and was worth the climb with the heavy packs on the back.
Thanks for the hide.

Took us a wee while to find this cache, but was determine not to leave until found, thank goodness theroamingreliever found it yay tftc
Day 4 of hiking the loop and we dropped the bags to head up. Not as puffed without the bags but still hard work (try the inland track if you haven't yet). Spent ages here, almost gave up. What looked like just maybe an old track lead me to a beacon. Very happy to get this one.
That was a nice wee wander around the hills. The weather was not up to much but the view was pretty good.
Cheers and thanks,

It was good to reach GZ and have a puff stop and admire the fabulous view. Pleasant walk up from the estuary with some fine Kahikateas. Onward to Mutton Cove. The last log entry must have been a ‘visitor’. They said “you guys are weirdos. Keep up the good work!” Can’t imagine how it was found accidentally as the cover is good.
Found on nice walk and introduced some German friends to geocaching. Extra degree of difficulty as wasps appear to have made their home next to cache. Not a major problem but have to be quick. Great spot TFTC
Not good hint and not good coordinates but...
Spectacular spot!!

have jogged this track previously. had to resort to the clue....which did not help.
Puffed we were, but the views at the top and along the track made it all worth while.

Found with mr spider (i was the friend) made a account a year after he showed me this geocache
Good find, well worth the walk, showed some friends how awesome geocaching is. TFTC, TNLN.
Did I start puffing when I got to GZ? No. I was puffing all the way! Great one to get the blood pumping. Didn't pick a dry way over the flats, so spare dry socks came in handy on return. Apart from that it was a great early morning start to the day. Easy find - the GPS did all the work, and then I saw something "obvious" - aha - sure enough. TFTC.
Mr KE visited this cache in the company of Biggles. In answer to the question: yes we were both quite puffed, though we recovered quickly at gz. A joint effort on the find, Biggles checking the cache description while Mr KE wandered about with the gps before suggesting that Biggles should check that obvious looking spot that he was heading towards anyway. The cache was quickly in hand and we enjoyed a small rest while signing the log and before heading back down. +/- coin TFTC.
Joint find with Mr KE. Had fun and games finding the least wet way to track entrance. Lots of frost on the golden sands this morning made for a cool experience too. Helpful cache description led us in the right direction. All is well with the container and contents. TFTC, Biggles.
Unfortenly we couldn't find the cache and gave up after 15 minutes hard looking. but the view was really breathtaking
This cache was to difficult for us, we didn`t find it. But it`s a beautiful place to take a break.
Nice and hard walk but worth it. Nice view from above. Found both caches

We camped here for a few days and loved it. I tried for this cache at high tide, going the long long way round. It was a great walk and I certainly was puffed when I got back to camp 3 hrs later but alas no find. thanks for the walk.
WOW! Puffed is a good description for this cache, but 100% well worth every step, stunning place for a cache, well maintained and a glad of the seat at the end!

Start of the track, right branch is the Headlands loop track you may have to cross ( wade across) from the boat ramp end of camp, if the tide is in but its not that deep fine at low tide. Very refreshing
Arrived at the beach to find every one out of the water as a large sting ray was crusing up and down the beach, so went for a walk up the hill arived at the view point only to find a group having lunch on the seat, so pressed on around the track again when I got back they where gone so free for a good look. Had to use the clue "GPS" you say arrrr of course
GPS "Great Perpindicular Specieman" cache in hand in no time ( what with the bug in the film canaster )?? must be a day for wildlife today, anyway back down to the beach for a swim, Sting Rays not problem

This is a puzzle. We had no cache notes at GZ but looked in what seemed a sensible place and found a micro cache. When we filled it in the name didn't match - and it was an unsigned log which didn't seem right as we thought all the caches in the area had been found. Then we realised the cache name on the log was Totaranui View not Puffed - so we wrote the other details down as it seemed odd. It was set by Harley 5447 on Jan 15. When we got to the computer this doesnt appear to exist!! We stopped looking at that stage - had seen no sign of a regular cache but may not have looked in the correct area. Do you know anything about this Jake The Muss?
FTF-thanks,not often you get two FTFs in one day.Great spot for a cache, awesome view, well worth the grunt up the hill which wasn't that bad.TFTC TNLNSL.Glad we were not any later or it would have been a bit of a wade to get back to the car with the in coming tide.
