An elegant multi completed over two trips.WP1 - A nice quick find of the WP and the numbers were quickly noted. WP2 was kinda far so I left it for another time.WP2 - While in the area I decided to continue/finish this multi. Rode down a nearby trail and quickly located the tag and numbers.WP3 - Took a fair amount of searching for this one before finding the tag in a spot I already searched. The numbers were really rusted so it was rather difficult to read. A few GZ combination were brainstormed and off I go. GZ - The first GZ permutation I looked at had a BUNCH of logs so I spent a disturbingly long time finding absolutely nothing. After testing a few more numbers I spotted something that looked solid and there the cache was. Nice!TFTC Fore!
Trying to get mt multi count up to 25 ccahes in the ACT. It's slow going.Found with Mogni. Myself and mogni are headed off to canberra on the " I missed the Capital GeoBash Mega " holiday, since last minute family problems came in to play and we had to adjust our plans by a few weeks. On the way over we targeted multi's, wherigo's and puzzles to make sure we had 25 in each or at least close to that total ( or more ) as possible, getting as many new New South Wales LGA's as possible, the 17th most favourite point NSW cache and every cache size in New South Wales. In the ACT it was getting 2 of the 5 oldest letterboxes, oldest wherigo in Australia, 2nd oldest earthcache ( with a side trip to get the oldest earthcache of course ), and ACT oldest cache too. I also hosted a CITO and planned on getting every different cache type i could and eevry different cache size as well. I also needed 9 more virtuals this trip to get my virtual count over 100. Finally canberra was far enough away from from house to complete the well aged well travelled cacher 0 to 1000 kms with a cache every 10 km's ( i only need 7 more caches to complete )Leaving the ACT it was going via Victoria to get there last active web cam cache and slowly getting a total of 20 finds in each LGA i passed through if i had enough time plus also hosting a CITO in Victoria as well. A busy 11 days. Trust me by the end of the holiday you would have thought the 6 meter ladder weighed more than 13 kg's to amount of times it was used or carried up hills or over creeks. If your cache was found with a broken container/lid it was replaced or if the log was full it was replaced or a extra log if the container was big enough ( except for nano's, do your own maintenance on nano's.
Day 5 of mogni and sir_spectre visit the ACT. Today was a mixed bag, old caches, letterbox, trad and wherigo and hunting letterboxes, more multies and stamping challenges as we passed and of course targetting favourite caches, oh and what everelse we happened upon. As per normal if a cache needed a bit of love, it got it. Lots of micro logsheets added today. Thanks to Fore! from mogni
Tenth day of our trip and we have come to Canberra via the Rutherglen Mega, Sydney and Newcastle. First full day in Canberra and following our usual holiday traditions, Huntress was off on a long run of over 10 kilometres, while I went off geocaching. This morning's plan was Mount Painter.
When looking at Mount Painter geocaches, I saw the name of this one and know who the CO was. I've enjoyed some of his geocaches in my local area. I've even been lucky enough to discover some of his pathtags, that are now displayed on my wall. Spent an hour enjoying this walk, even though I kept struggling to work out the correct numbers. Had to guess a number of the final numbers and spent 20 minutes looking in the area for the final. Even expanded 50 meters in all directions, but I left with a blue sad face on my map.
During the day, a couple of previous finders gave me some tips. It was 8.30 pm and we were talking about calling it a night, but I just couldn't get this one out of my head. So I rushed down and in the dark by torch light I found it. Was just about to sign the wet log paper. Might need some TLC.
Thanks for the cache Fore!

Last tag is extremely hard to read now, and I guessed a few numbers.
Too good for me in the 2 locations I determined final may be.

With the younger GeoTeen training daily at CISAC I've been spending more time doing Belco-region caches. This one fit the bill for a longer training session; as with recent finders, I had a little trouble with WP3 but a PAF soon had me sorted.
At GZ the cache was found without issue, although the log hasn't been placed in the 'inner' container for a while and is showing signs damp & drying - some cracks in the outer container don't help. I've replaced upside down to hopefully keep this as dry as possible.
Thanks, Fore!

Found It!
Nice to see someone has found a practical use for these metal tags! Found the first and second WPs without any problems but the tag at the third WP has rusted and the numbers are no longer readable. Without those numbers I had four possible GZ locations which I guess fits the theme of this cache a bit too well. I then went to search in all 4 locations and after not finding anything at 3 of them, I found the cache at the forth one I visited!

A fun little adventure in the shadows of mount painter. Clever use of tags (which in themselves are very pretty) and a nice hide at the end to cap it off. Thanks for making us explore some more of this reserve (we should have worn pants for the spiky plants though!) TFTC TNLN.
Needed a multi today and decided to try for this one. Nice multi but path is overgrown and so snakey. Expected to see one at any moment but got around without contact. Container had water but the internal one was dry as was log.
Thanks For getting me out and about Fore!

Had to wait for the anaesthetic from a dental appointment to disperse before I could eat again, so I treated myself to a multi and a walk.
Loved the waypoints and the area is very nice. Just before GZ I found a patch of Tiger Orchids and then started to upload all these wildflowers to naturemapr, with the effect that I nearly walked past the cache. Remembered at last minute why I was here and made a quick find.
Cache and log in good condition.
TFTC and the lovely midday walk.

The coordinates are spot on! Thanks for the nice walk. If only I had remembered that geocache coords are in decimal minutes
This is a great grocache but you should put the log with the cache so that it is easier to identify.
Wandered over on dusk from the Aranda Heritage cache that GH Jnr was attempting. He left empty handed on that, possibly with some bum coords. I couldn't recall GZ from a visit many years before. We hoofed it over to this multi which GHJ had partially done. His phones were mucking up, so I used my dodgy one to get to the WPs, making short work of the calcs. GZ was reached at dark & a quick find made by headlamp. The inside of the cache is a bit moist/dirty, so the swaps from the archived EAST OF EDEN cache were not left behind.
It was good to use some unknown trails in the area, normally one would be driving right by them, or riding on the bike path. TFTC!
Next stop was to head on foot to the Cook shops mural cache...

Headed out this morning to create a smiley and file this in the completed file.
This was a well put together and enjoyable walk. Worthy of a Fav point. Now off to check out Hallway of Horse’s. Thanks again Fore!

Out with RoddyC/Hatzofff to find a few caches for the day. This was a lovely straight forward multi that I enjoyed the concept. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks Fore! All good with this cache and multi
Out today to get catch some caches on our 6th day in Canberra with RoddyC and Team Benders.

What a fabulous walk through an absolutely beautiful area, made all the prettier by the locals placing huge big red bows in the statuesque gum trees. Thanks for this incredible multi Fore! SL TNLN
A very hot afternoon for caching. Thankfully GLISS! had done some of the hard yards on this a little while back so we just needed to finish it off. Thanks for the cache!!
Yay! Found another Belco multi - there can't be many left for me. I started this one about 8 months ago but tripped up at one of the very rusty clues. Thanks to some assistance from a PAF, I could move on to ghe next wp and the final gz. TFTC Fore!
Oh my, two caches sorted in the space of an hour or two...what a marvel allrounder is...come and get it!
Fore!’s geocaching secretary reporting for duty: thanks for reporting this, I will replace WP2 the next time I’m out that way...
This is one of my closest to home, but have just got around to giving it a go. It is very nicely constructed, with the calculations and coordinates spot on each time. I enjoyed the overall stroll as I hadn't appreciated that this much of the reserve was on the public side of the fence.
TNLN, TFTC. (BTW, the container interior is very wet, but the log sheet inside its tube is dry.)

With some time between appointments and work, I figured another belco cache needed to be found.
Wandered around and grabbed what I needed. Then headed over to the cache. Wasn't aware this path existed, so always bonus to explore new bits of Belconnen!

My third day in the ACT and my first full one teaming up with a few other cachers from Tasmania, South Australia and NSW. We toured around picking up solved mysteries, a handful of multis and one well favoured letterbox.
Thanks to all the COs which have put out caches for me and the rest of the community to enjoy.

I am currently camped at the showgrounds in Queanbeyan for the Mega event after travelling for the past 5 weeks or so on a rather circuitous route from Adelaide via Tasmsnia snd Victoria. Its beautiful autumn weather - great for caching and having a look about.
I joined up with a small group of other cachers from Tasmania, Victoria and NSW to complete this multi and find this cache.
Thanks Fore! for the cache.

I started this multi-cache probably back in 2016, a very long time ago! However I only got the information for WP1 at the time as I had to be somewhere and couldn't finish the walk off!
No idea why it has taken me years to come finish this, but the WP was still saved in my phone so I found a good parking spot that would save me from walking and continued from there.
WP2 was found quickly and gathered the numbers, but soon realised I didn't have the numbers from the last WP! Wasn't a worry though, as three of the numbers I could work out from the coords I had, one number wasn't needed so I was only missing D. Plotted the 9 possibilities on the map, and only one of them were both at a fence and next to a tree, sweet!
The last tag was also a quick find, and after plotting GZ into my phone I soon had a good looking set of coords! Wandered on over and was happy to find a distinguishable Fore! container hidden in the obvious spot in great condition! Yay!
Thanks Fore! Was good to finish this one off

After finishing at Jamison, I had some spare time, so decided to give this a go. Nice use of the tags!, they were all found OK and currently legible. Got to GZ and found the cache quickly. Nice how you get these little pockets of grass/bushland which feel like a long way from the city.
Thanks,
(BTW Flintstones here last month, yet to log...)

A short evening walk with Dino and Hoppy. We were getting swooped at WP3, especially the dog. The poor guy didn't know what was going on. So quickly moved on to to the final.

While staying at the show grounds we travelled around the northern area Canberra area collecting a few nearby caches and this was one of them.

**# 20596** Found on the start of our mega adventure to NSW, ACT, QLD and beyond.
Today was a good day for a drive around the northern suburbs and some of it with Tassie Trekkers,
but the main mission was a trek up a big hill for Canberra's oldest cache.
Lots of muggles around today and a good variety of hides.
Thanks for the cache Fore!,

The Ridgeo-pup is NOT happy.
Our other geohound, BlueTara, has travelled south with the Reluctant Geospouse to visit relatives. This means that the RP has been left ALL ALONE while I've been at work. She has been so miserable that there has been nothing for it but I should take the afternoon off and take her geocaching.
We really enjoyed tracking down the little tags and finding the WPs. Used a newly acquired app for finding multis and it worked well. Another great dog walking cache which confirms my opinion that multis are the best! Thanks for the cache, Fore!.

Was a nice day for a lunch time walk and a nice area here to be. Mt Painter was looking steeper than I remember from when I was last up there but glad of today's easier terrain! Coordinates collected no problems and then off to the final location for the cache which with spot on coordinates made for a straight forward find. Have come across these containers before that the lids are jammed on tight and won't budge, but no worries with this one! Thanks for the cache Fore!, I enjoyed this multi and it's location.
Nice stroll this morning with this multi. I thought I would be walking a lot further, but secretly happy I didn't. Took less than half an hour to pick up all four waypoints. Thanks for keeping this one going allrounder and Fore! TFTC!!!
Fore!'s geocaching secretary reporting for duty: I replaced the log and dropped off a trackable...cache on!
Found with Coybear2000. We decided to go for a short walk and this cache seemed like a good idea. We parked at the suggested spot and walked to the first waypoint. No difficulty in finding the tag and we copied the numbers. Unfortunately I put my geo-bag close to an ants' nest and had to shake some of them off. As we walked to the 2nd waypoint I was still swatting those that had crawled onto me. No trouble at this waypoint and off to the third. Easily found the tag and so off to GZ. We spotted the potential hide and soon had CIH, frightening a black spider away from the cache. The log is very full but we found a spot to leave our sigs. There are still a few blank spaces around the page but it should be replaced soon. TFTC.
Out with Trodectus, did the rounds for this one and we were soon at GZ. CIH after quick search, found space on the log and signed. TFTC
What a unique idea for a multi cache. Never considered them as props before.
All worked really well.
I was slightly confused at the first spot but after reading the details more carefully all made sense.
Enjoyable stroll around and about, in an interesting bush setting. Lots of birds out in the dryish part of the morning.
Cache in good condition and all way points easy to read.
Thanks for a fun cache. A fav point for me

Thank you SOOOO much to allrounder who did all four corners today for me.

Fore!'s geocaching secretary reporting for duty: took a lovely stroll to check all the waypoints...WP1 = good, WP2 = added replacement tag, WP3 = couldn't find so replaced tag as per description (not sure where it's gone!)...to finish off I checked the cache as well where all is good...once again my work is done, cache on...
Will have to send my geocaching secretary to check this one out and see if the tags can be replaced....
I had a similar experience to Aykayem. The first tag was okay. But the second one is so rusted, I could only guess a few of the digits. Using my guess, I found the same location as Aykayem where there was a cut up tree and a small tree on the fence line. I could find no tag along this section and so was stumped.
Hmmm ... wet feet ... and no smiley ... sigh ...
I was planning on finally finding this one Fore! my daily find (am on a streak ... about 115 days now not sure why I had never got around to doing this multi ages ago - I work just down the road - lol ... I think I was waiting until I was coming past and had my dog with me, then once I had decided to try and keep a streak going, I had been sort of saving it for when I ran out of others to go find in a hurry, or something ...
Apart from a few others I want to go find with the dog , there are not a lot of caches near/between my work and home, that I have not found (except some puzzles I have not solved - some needing me to spend time searching for answers, and some needing me to grow a lot more brains, or something I also don't really want to drive too many miles out of my way just for a daily cache, so I had decided, sort of by default, that it was time to come and grab this one ...
First 3 WPs were easy enough (although numbers on one were rather rusty and hard to read ... but I managed to decipher them by magnifying them with my phone camera
I was enjoying the walk, and it was all working nicely (except for when I had to dig in the mulch to find the first tag when I dropped it - I saw exactly where it hit the ground, beside the post, but I still had to hunt around - when I realised how deep it went, I was wondering if it grew legs like a mole cricket and dug down! - lol) ... Managed to avoid walking in puddles/soggy ground, worked out what side of the fence to stay on at the corner, had worked out what pockets were best for phone, glasses, pen, notebook, etc ... happily wandering along by the light of my head lamp ... but it all kind of ended when I got to the one that was "low, on fence, directly in line with tree" ... Hmmmm - would that be the tree that fell over ON the fence?! ... tree has been sawn up and moved off fence, but no sign of a tag on what is left of the fence in front of that tree, (or near the smaller tree, closer to the fence, nearby) ... not sure if it went when the tree fell, or was missing when the last finder came, or I was looking in the wrong spot ... Kind of doesn't make a difference right now - lol - without the number I was kind of stuck - and it was a bit too late and dark to guess all the possible spots and search every one ... but I did look in a lot of likely looking places (and got wet feet doing it!) on my way back to the car, just in case - lol
Oh well ... if it gets fixed, or I find out I just didn't look well enough for that last tag, or I find out what the numbers were, or even just one day when I have the dog with me and time to stop and do some hunting around in likely spots, I will have to come back and try again ... and actually see this area in daylight - lol
btw - glad I still had a couple other options sort of up my sleeve - I drove home via Hawker and ducked in and grabbed the closest of the few caches I was planning on finding with the dog (I was planning on going for a walk in there sometime soon and finding the about 3 or 4 caches I have not found, possibly this weekend - so it will now be one less find on whatever day the dog and I go past that one and grab the other couple further in/along) - it was a rather nice little walk actually - not raining, and still not too cold - so I got 2 nice walks for the price of one? lol
(and my apology to the dog, for being so late home - a couple of (only slightly icky) 'roo bones that I picked up near where I couldn't find that last tag - lol - the dog was happy to get them
Oops? ... I wonder if this is a record for the longest DNF log on a cache? LOL

With some time to fill in before the second event (at Radford College) of the 4 day Sprint Canberra orienteering series, I took the opprtunity to tick off a few multi caches in the area. This was the third one. WPS 1 & 2 were easily obtained (although 1 digit of 2 was hard to read - fortunately it wasn't required). I spent ages looking for WP 3 without success. Looking at the formula I realised there wasn't too many possibilities so attempted to do a systematic search along a couple of south lines. Eventually I found the final at the last possible combination! TFTC and the wander.

Squeezed a walk around these trails before rushing off to get to netball...only just made it in fact. Lovely walk and views out the back here. It is always fun hunting for these type of WPs. An accidental typo when entering GZ had us looking slightly off target but quickly readjusted for the win. Was very nice to finally tick this one off the bucket list, probably took about the last spot on the logbook and probably the last Canberra caching team to complete the loop! Thanks for a fun multi Fore! , a nice warmup before Miss Stormcatcher had to hit the court.
Found 9:06 pm with SpecimenX. I called up SpecimenX today to see if interested in a duo cache hunt. I had stopped my streak recently but I had itchy feet this evening to go out and find a cache. SpecimenX was interested and then we had to decide on which one. This cache ended up being the best option and provided a bit of exercise too. I also wanted to stop my slump. We met at parking coords and set off for WP1. Each waypoint didn't take too long and only at one did we have a little trouble reading the numbers, I checked though how important the unsure ones were and thankfully found they weren't used problem solved. We did the walk and eventually we got to the final GZ and we soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks for the cache and bit of exercise.

I was working late at the lab, and with a call from Mr Damage, plans were set in place to target this one for the daily nab
We met up at the parking waypoint and then it was on with the torches and off we went for the wander The tag at WP1 was easy to find and read so off we went to WP2 were we had a bit of trouble reading the numbers on this one as rust had obscured a number. Turns out that number wasn't needed for the coords for WP3 anyway so off we went. Strolled past a bog with a lot of frogs croaking and creaking happily away before we reached WP3, were a bit of a hunt ensued to find this one....Oh there it is!
So with numbers acquired and GZ calculated, off we went again for another short wander where it was a nice easy find at GZ Daily....complete!
Thanks for the company, Mr Damage, and thanks for yet another neat multi, Fore!

A lovely walk despite the cold today and finally the fog was starting to lift (at 2.30pm!). Overshot WP1 but made a quick find once I actually checked the GPS . I like the marker style used in this multi . WP2 was an easy find with plenty of equids around for company. Continued the stroll to WP3 where it took a bit of a search before I spotted the obvious. Onwards to GZ where the cache was soon located. Thanks for an enjoyable stroll through the area Fore!
A nice walk through some pretty scenery. Some of the tags were hard to read, but not all the difficult to read numbers were needed. A favourite tick for the outing. TFTC Fore!
An easy multi. Some of the tags were rusty making them hard to read, but I rubbed them back until the numbers were visible. TFTC Fore!.
The fourteenth find of the day on score check day. I was getting quite hungry by now as I had been walking for 2 hours and it was nearing upon lunch time. I still had one cache to collect though, and I tried to do this one as quickly as possible. Collecting the waypoints was fairly pain-free and I soon had coordinates for GZ. I was glad to finally finish this one off and I was soon at GZ. Luckily the rain had gone away for the time being as the seach took a surprisingly long time. I should have checked the obvious spot! Log signed and cache replaced. TFTC Fore! I am on my way to Belconnen mall now for a bit of lunch before soccer training!
Well it's the cricket world cup today, so I needed to be back before too much had happened. A loop around Mt Painter seemed like a good option. A very enjoyable stroll in the thankfully, cooler conditions. I've not seen pathtags used in such a way before. The 3rd was a bit tricky to find, but it all worked out just fine. Thx Fore! the cache.
Nice simple multi (although some of the tags are getting a bit rusty). Lovely day for it too. TFTC fore!
First one for a long time. Is there a better way then to start with a Fore! ?
Very nice short walk on a cloudy Sunday afternoon.
Waypoints easy to find - just perfect for a family stroll.
Thanks

I used to live in Cook but never walked around here so today I grabbed the Geomutt and off we went. Parked at the suggested spot and quickly located WP1.
I often rode the bike down this section but had never wandered off it. After collecting the next two waypoints without problems thanks to the previous cachers cleaning the pathtags.
Great views at GZ.

decided that I really needed to do more multis on weekends, but this one required a geohound! So geomum and her geohound came with me while we wandered the paths out the back of Cook collecting the required information. Geohound is getting a bit frail these days and he had trouble navigating the pony grid, but it did not deter him from chasing down a few old and smelly bones on the track near the road.
Taking heed of the previous log, I took a rust removing tool, and scrubbed the WP2 tag, but the others were in good nick and the numbers clear enough to do the trick. The log sheet is okay for a few more names, and is otherwise in condition.
Thanks Fore! the cache!

Nice walk in the bush in the evening to find this cache.
Some of the tags are getting pretty rusty and hard to read, especially 2 and 3.
I tried to clean them as best I could, but some steel wool or something to clean the rust off would help.

Finally.......I started this cache shortly after I arrived to Canberra. Unfortunayely I was on my bike untill today:-)
Thank you. Mt. Painter looks awesom in sunset...

#399. 66 days in a row.
After finding 670 Dots, I noticed this cache was close by and went to solidify Fore!'s position as my fourth most found cache owner. After a bit of a hike I ended up with the cache in hand, but the cache attachment seemed damaged (cache itself is perfectly okay). Additionally, the second and third metal tags have become corroded and are becoming difficult to read. They should last a bit longer, but might be worth considering changing them.
Did not see the coin mentioned in FurfacesLL's log - must have been taken by someone who doesn't appear to have signed the log sheet.

Took a stroll after work as we had a geocoin to drop off and we took advantage of extra hours of day light. A few muggles were out walking their dogs in the lovely weather. Collected the information and worked a set of coordinates, took our chances and were lucky, log signed, and Geocoin dropped ready for someone to take on its next journey.

Accompanied with all7 for the day, we enjoyed drive and find cache. Signed the log. Thank you. Fore!
My mission was cache 2 Cinder but as this was on the way did it as well. Co-ordinates were really spot which was good considering the size of the clues. TFTC.
