Day 18 of my fortnight+ road trip up to Brisbane and back to Blue Mountains. Half day left thence home this afternoon. Many GC challenges achieved, favourited hides visited, random selected geocaches attempted (mostly smileys). A beaut road trip in short. Some geocaching in Walcha LGA. However this multi is too abstract. Spotted some info at the starting point, which CO said that Im on the right track possibly. Given that I havent even found subsequent waypoints (how many is that?), this isnt a DNF but a Write Note.
When 97 cachers can enjoy and find this one, and only 2 log it as a DNF, perhaps some people are just not meant to add this to their find list, and some just don't like logging DNFs. For fifteen years, the 5 waypoints have remained the same. Good luck to all who attempt, enjoy and ultimately find this one.
Enjoyed the wander around Walcha, collecting the relevant info. The final coordinates were spot on, found the east way in. TFTC
Found It!After a lap of the town I had collected all the numbers and then I headed off to the final location. It was a nice little walk to get there and then I soon found the cache!TFTC
Heading away for the long weekend to clear some counties and found this cache on the way. The weather is brilliant and the scenery wonderful. Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Making our way to Broken Hill for Mundi Mundi Bash. Today we moved from Inverell to Uralla. Once set up in the showground we headed on over to Walcha using geocaching as our guide. No problems with the multi but there is definitely no driving closer than 100mtrs anymore. But an easy walk and our name was added to the log.We found this cache today. TFTC weroamin/gerrynewgirl
Spent some time wandering (and driving) but in the end it was a great journey to discover the cache and the town as well. Thanks for the cache. Worth a fav point.
Thanks for placing this multi cache. I enjoyed wandering around Walcha and the history of the town.I got the coordinates for GZ and off I headed and quickly found the cache. Nice view.TFTC
A great multi that takes you around the town. Each waypoint was easily found, and the numbers gave themselves up freely. TFTC.,
Making our way back to QLD and picking up certain caches along the way. A nice drive checking out the town we only quickly drove through on our way down to Sydney.
With the numbers obtained we headed to GZ and took a lovely stroll along the path. The cache was quickly located and name added to log.

Having arrived in Tamworth last night to visit with family, Blkthunder and I have a day in Tamworth and Walcha to cache and sightsee before returning to Brisbane tomorrow… there may have been more caching than sightseeing…
Walcha helps with a crazy challenge in Brisbane… arriving with no expectations our whole morning was a pleasant surprise followed by delight after delight…
We’d already done most of the caches around Walcha when we visited the Trad at the posted coords and realised there was a multi here too… and it’s pre 2010… no other option than to do a little backtracking… including up here to GZ…
It wasn’t until I arrived that I checked the hint… wait, there’s a checksum… after reading a few logs, I knew I was in the right spot, and I even knew what not to do… I should have checked my first thought more thoroughly…
Tftc… I removed the melted lollies from the container… all except one that wouldn’t come out…

After unpacking at the motel, we spent a couple of hours working our way round Walcha, using the touring multi and AL to show the way. Overall we were pretty impressed with the caches we found. And the rain had even stopped for us.
We had fun cruising about tracking down the info for the multi, and used it double-duty to grab trads as we went. At GZ we overshot and ended up going downhill amongst the large rocks, a cool spot but not needed, going back up to the main track and keeping eyes peeled gave us the cache.... TFTC!

Found on our mini road trip, after driving along the Oxley Highway from PMQ to get here, we decided to cache our way around this afternoon!

Good multi and final spot. A search of likely spots at gz revealed the cache. Not necessary to leave the track. Thanks and fav point
I'd picked up most of the information required for this multi during my other geocaching excursions and now we just had to head to GZ for the find at yet another spot we'd already visited this week!

Didn't find this one. Found nearby cache but logged wrong cache. Will remove my find when I get home as I'm using 3rd party app
What a great place to bring us to for the final location. Must admit, we drove up the wrong road and wondered, but then re-read the instructions and came by a different route. Coordes were spot on and once there we soon had CIH. TFTC
while visiting Walcha for the morning, decided to attempt this multi cache. Travelled around Walch gathering the information required. This then gave us the required details for final co-ordinates. Arrived at GZ and spotted cache straight away. TFTC
Yes, found it.
Travelled around collecting the clues this morning, then came out again this afternoon to collect the final.
Thanks

this took a little navigating to get to starting point but from there it was a find for us. TFTC
took us a while to find the right way in but got there and made the find. Thanks for a nice multi
Avoiding Covid places and needing a time out from work so hitched a ride with Nibletricecakes and GLISS! armed with hand sanitiser and face masks, we went touring NSW collecting counties.
We started in Canberra and spent a weekend in Bathurst with the capital crunchers then continued on North and West before heading home again. TFTC!

It was an interesting wander around Walcha, visiting parts that we hadn’t visited before. TFTC.
8834 Located by baby&Mrs gopher ( We also sign as bMg on small log sheets ) at 1420. Really enjoyed this multi. We got to view the township in many aspects and learned some of Walcha history. A FP from us. Not too sure about the terrain rating at gz though. SL Tnx weroamin/gerrynewgirl.
Haven't been to Walcha in years so with the help of my geodog Scruffy, we decided to find a few of the caches in the area ...

We got the numbers for the multi here and grabbed a trad at the same time. From there we wandered around town visiting some new spot and revisiting some from earlier. Once we had all the numbers we made our way to GZ but aborted when we got close and the sun was going down and the mozzies already knew Mrs Jacko was in town.
The next morning before venturing further afield we called in here and enjoyed the short walk to GZ before meeting one of the locals who was up for a bit of a chat.

Attended today and found cache missing. Replaced with a new container and contents. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE; re-hide this cache, exactly the same way.
Thank you and enjoy the journey through history.

Not realising it was a Multi, geowife located it as a traditional. We searched. Luckily a young(er) muggle was curious as to what we were doing so helped us look, thank goodness. It was out of reach to me as an 82 year old. TFTC, well done.
A lovely pre-lunch collection of the information and then a post lunch find.
Container is certainly a little wet and could do with a clean out. But, not urgently.

The next cacher informed me that immediate maintenance was not required. All good with this one.
On our way home after a 5 day camping trip around Dorrigo and Armidale.
We had no trouble locating the correct digits at each waypoint and after a verification from the checksum we headed off to GZ where after a thorough search, the cache was revealed.
Thanks for the cache

At long last a smilie at a multi. Having just failed with a nearby one and the one in Gloucester, I started this one with some apprehension. Specially as it was eating into our evening drinks time and we had already visited a couple of the sites oblivious to the fact that they held information required for this cache. So for placing a multi that brought me a smilie I am awarding a FP. After signing duties were completed I returned the cache to its hidey hole.
The log in this cache is damp and the container could do with a good clean out as it smells and is dirty.
TFTC. Almost ran into a rock "wanderer" (wallaby) during my search for cache.
Found with Tatt2squared and Viper_101... After gathering all the information we soon had the co-ords in hand... once we found the right way to attempt the find we had a furry local come to help us on our find. TFTC
With Tatt2squared and Key_Tat... after a lot of 'wandering' we soon had the co-ords... and after a bit more 'wandering' cache was in hand.
Found in the company of Key_Tat and Viper_101....after attempting this from the wrong way first, we were going to leave this as wrong co-ords. But after going to another cache we realised our mistake and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC.
We left our caravan in the nearby rest area and took off on our mountain bikes in search of the geocaches around Walcha. Our Jack Russell had the easy part sitting in my basket, I had forgotten how big the hills can be over this side of the country. Nevertheless we really enjoyed cycling around on such a beautiful stay in such a stunning place and seeing so many things we wouldn't have otherwise seen.
thanks for sharing these special spots.

Up for nans 80th birthday. We came into town on Saturday and i got most of the required info but we didn't have time for the find. Heading home we stopped at the final GZ to make a quick find. TFTC
Passing through town, I checked on this one. Found in the open fully exposed, but in good condition. Please re-hide it as you find it, out of sight. Thanks.
TFTC. We went roaming around town collecting the required information. Saw a familiar name at the cemetery . Reading the plaque and the penny dropped. His name comes up around Barcaldine and Camooweal.
Double checked that the checksum was right and then off to the final GZ. As I got to GZ the heavens opened. Thankfully I spotted the hide quickly and signed before the hail started. Got back to Linda who sensibly waited in thegeo/vehicle.

Well no matter how I fiddled the figures I could not sum to 20. But with a bit of lateral thinking my big sis and I traipsed off and peered in every nook and cranny and eventually were jubilant. We've had a great day cycling around the waypoints and enjoying beautiful Walcha in spectacular autumn foliage. TFTC
Passing through town today, so I stopped to check on this one. All good with the cache, which is still in it's original location, safe and sound.
Found it! Went all through Walcha with our family, took us two days to find the box. Thanks for the find. Found with Swanton family
Of to an early start and soon had a few way points sorted, Onto GZ and all looking good. Stopped to let the GPS catch as as it seemed to be lagging a bit and what do you know, I'm resting next to the cache signed and replaced - Thanks for the multi we enjoyed the trip around walcha
P.S. and a souvenir as well TFTC

Enjoyed doing your multi thismorning. Spent some time wandering around Walcha, learning a bit about the history of the area and earning a souvenir for the effort. Had fun working out all the clues along the way. Thankyou for an enjoyable morning. Favorite point from me.
I have made some minor changes to the names of WP2, WP3 and WP4 . The co-ordinates all remain the same and they still correspond to the information required. These changes have been made because too many geocachers are using information from the Internet to solve these Waypoint questions , which is not in the spirit of this multi cache. Enjoy and good luck.
Almost gave up on this one after messing up the co-ordinates and the constant rain, but pushed on and made the find.
I don't know why some people try to make something out of nothing. Clearly in the Cache Description it says, "The terrain is very easy although not quite wheelchair accessible to GZ". The terrain and difficulty ratings remain the same. [:(!]
I tried to jag this one without going to any of the waypoints. As it turns out I got to within about 20 meters. And I was only trying to stay a bit wheelchair accessible. Well if you own the type of wheelchair that you don't use anymore, maybe you'll get there. It's far higher than a T1.5 even if you find the correct way in.
Thanks for the cahce and cheers form Browngang

Owner maintenance NOT required; "My wife accidentally clicked on the wrong one", was the reason that maintenance was called for! Cache is still in good condition and ready to go!
Stopped at Walcha for lunch, on our way north for the Mega Event.
While geo hubby rested, I walked around town gathering the required data. I past lots of amazing wood carving & monuments on my walk.
One answer I managed using google. The final Gz for the cache had wonderful views, I took the hard way up & found a nice walking track to follow on the way down.
Thanks weroamin for taking us on a tiki tour.

Yay! A Geocache! So close to my childhood home!! Found on Chrissy Day!! Get all the clues right and the co-ordinates will lead you to the exact spot! What a fun Chrissy Day Adventure!!!
Had a lovely time hunting out the clues for this hide, no idea why people make mistakes at wp2 as the building is clearly marked but not used for that purpose any more. There's been rain and footing a bit treacherous walking to GZ so watch footing.

A couple of years ago, as a muggle, I was helping the junior Cookies get some of the info for this on the way to Toowoomba; so it was interesting to get the rest, and finally get the cache Found!
All was quiet in the neighbourhood, and even the 'guard dog' didn't make too much noise.
The hardest part (apart from drying the container out in the dark) was trying to find a suitable 'path' to the cache. TNLN, just Discover Me Tag thru

0210 GAFF1 While I had pulled into 'Town' quite a bit before this I wanted to have a bit of a nap before having a go, as I wanted to be as fresh as possible to avoid making mistakes in the workings out.
MVMB woke me up when the telephone alarm went off. And apart from walking in some dog T… at WP1, which stunk the car out until we realised what had happened, we were able to make quick finds of all the necessary data to work out where the cache is hidden.
One of my 'minor' complaints is, that it would be VERY helpful to have the entrance for the way to the cache shown by an offset from the worked out coordinates. I have seen this done with another cache, eg, "Access path entrance + S.xxx', and - E.yyy' from your calculated GZ"
My GPSr took us too a quite street, and luckily the local dog was well trained and didn't make too much fuss about a couple of characters heading off from their car so late at night. But we quickly came to a Terrain 3 obstacle, and thought that there must be another way, so went sidling along until we found a picnic table, with a track that came from another street, which I would assume would be the normal approach if you knew of it.
But the track to the cache is NOT Terrain 1½ (at least now), and I would almost question if it should be rated T2, with the roughness of it. Without the note on the cache page/gpx file, I am sure that we would have had NO CHANCE of finding the cache, it was so well hidden. Even tho it was well covered there was still a centimetre of water in it, so we emptied it, and tried to dry it out as best as possible.
With GREAT coordinates at each Waypoints and GZ I left a Correct Site Marker in the cache.
This will be another book marked for the Night Caching elective.
Brought through for mileage: 12-12-12 Event, 3 Bros NSW, Auckland NZ'13, Aussie Christmas Geocoin, B 2 B Travel ingot, CII-35Z, CITO - Upper Swan and Beyond geocoin, Explorer Tag - Jeremy, GCookie EARTH Cache 10 year Celebration Coin, GLORIA, GxPROXY Traveller - MATT, Iconic Bridges 2012, Mei letzter Schilling, cache critters Baa, Neigh Neddy, and Oink, NZ Mega 13 signature, NZ Mega 2013 GCookie Coin, Semmels first 1,000 Geocoin, The Cache Koala, X-Mas Geocoin 2011, and trackable shirts.

Found this one with Lonely RA and cadet Kelly as part of the NSW Lone Rover Crew. TFTC. A quick tour of town gave us the clues needed.
Found it! Just as I gave up and headed back to the car. First cache I've ever found, fittingly in the town that I grew up in. Thanks weroamin!
A fun multi. Some locations I found on foot, others by car. At the Oxley memorial I was challenged by a magpie - in winter! Took a long time finding the start point to GZ, but once there the cache was soon found. TFTC
Chip, DIng and I started on this one, but we quickly realised it would take longer than we had to commit, it is still a long drive to Wollongong from here.
Next time.

A pleasant tour with excellent GPS accuracy. We got the math wrong somehow , but still ended up in the rigth area. So with some geo-intuition we actually found it, Yay , SL, checked out the loot, TNLN, TFTC and a favourite from us [^]
Called in to check on this cache on a rather cool wet day. The container was still well hidden and the contents were dry, so all is good for this multi.
Our 6566th overall find.
I would struggle to tell you how long ago we started to complete this one, quite possibly when it was first placed in 2009. Having grown up in Armidale, each time we returned we would find another part of the puzzle but each time we returned there were more and more kids in the car and anyone knows that if they're asleep you are not stopping for anything.
So today I cam armed with the required information and took a short walk in a quite scenic location. After searching a few likely spots I came up with the find.
Thanks weroamin for the cache. It has been a welcome distraction on our drives, a favorite point from me.

Found with blossom* on a great long weekend holiday. We had a very enjoyable time following the WPs for this cache and loved the wooden artworks through the town. TFTC weroamin
Luckily we had a bit of spare time on this trip north and we wandered around town a few times collecting the various clues. At WP1, we were very amused to see the icicles hanging off the male statue's private parts on such a chilly day! And we were quite amazed at the wonderful wooden artworks and carvings all over town! Wow! All the WPs were very interesting in fact and we had no trouble with calculating GZ.
It was pretty easy to get close to the final spot in the car and then we headed off with me leading the way. As it turned out, a straight line approach from our starting point wasn't the quickest route! I spent a bit of time walking up and back and then carefully picked my way through the bushes for a while. Ah! There is a lovely track that leads right past the final GZ and we followed this out
Top cache, thanks weroamin

Thrilled to have success with a multi cache. Top spot after a day of rugby here in walcha.
Stopped over on our way from Werrikimbe to Barrington Tops. Nice walk including the detour to the cemetery. Note to others: check the difficulty rating, no need to bush bash.
Not knowing where you will end up when you reach a milestone, but this is where my 250th cache was found. We had fun here and got to a little more about a town I never knew about. Great place. Great wood carvings.
