The geo grandies helped find it and we took a love heart and left a lizard. A few things have been wet.
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa Peppa waited in the car whilst we visited the gap. A quick find in this lovely location. Tftc
We had a little spare time this afternoon so we headed out this way to see some sights and find a few geocaches. When we pulled up here there was a muggle sitting in his car on the phone and we soon realised GZ was in full view. We wandered off to look at the waterhole and gather the information for the nearby earthcache instead. By the time we got back here, the muggle had left so we were able to search unimpeded.
Thanks for find #4747

An interesting stop going east.
A fire was cooking on one side of the car park and some Europeans were testing the depth of the water, attempting to get to the other side. By GZ was a guy and his dogs. He admitted he was totally off grid but liked the sound of geocaching.

Found it a lot lower than we initially searched. Was obvious once we got there. Phones gps was off by several meters..
Found after a bit of a gallivant up the slope. Twasn't up there and was pretty simple in the end. Thanks for the cache!
A beautiful stop to visit. Thanks for bringing us out here. Cache is in great condition. TFTC.
Found on our road trip through the outback with muggle sister in law visiting from South Africa. Tftc
Another worthy little gap to stop at, this one had people enjoying the water that was here and lots of chirpy Budgies in the the trees which was nice to see. cache found without issue today.
With GreyHams we set of for a short 24hour visit of Alice Springs. Certainly there is an element of crazy in only staying such a short time but what a great trip and place to visit, so worth it. I have been seeking the red outback dirt for a while now and for the past few opportunities have been greeted by lush greenery hiding that iconic red dirt! Still, it was stunning and I feel the green just made the scenery look more stunning highlighting the red rock formations. Loved the gorges, little waterways, dry creek beds and the chirpy little budgies at the gorges.
With temperatures forecast to be up around the low 40's it was a little culture shock! On arriving at the airport and collecting our reliable little SUV we hid in its lovely aircon and made the scenic drive out to Trephina Gorge. Perfect location and first stop... and the flies, SO many sticky little flies!
With a select number of caches on our list the gorges and stops on our way back into Alice highlighted the areas Geology and locations of interest as we cached our way back into town. Some short walks, fun little tracks and much variety in our list of types, LGA's, and DT among others.
After checking into our little villa, sorting out its aircon we set off for one of the little tracks that tested out our little car but carefully we made it through its eroded surface and water filled crossings. AL's, more EC's and some local about town caches gave us a good experience of being in this little town and I feel the caching showed us all we could see for the full experience.
The recent alcohol restrictions brought in we experienced first hand, all well organised and regulated. With the evening sorted it was onto Roberto's for the BEST pizza. Highly recommend the food and the friendly service offered to us and the locals while we were there, don't let the broken and boarded windows in the area put you off, it's worth trying.
The following morning we used to finish off the last of our list, with the multi, letterbox, WIG's and final AL's. The AL's took us to a little park where an invasion day rally was in place, a public holiday the streets were busy... the temperature 38C by 10am!
Many thanks to all the COs for your caches that led us on a great little trip of Alice and its highlights.

Aquilus1 & I are on a 24hr lightning visit to Alice Springs (or Mparntwe) just because it sounded interesting as well as grabbing a few of the LGA's in the middle of the country.
This time it was my crazy idea, but Aquilus1 was willing and able to do 'crazy' at short notice.
We got to the airport at an ungodly hour, and then two planes later we landed in Alice. We flew past half of Cathay Pacific's entire fleet during the landing....no rusting out here I guess!
We had a great day doing multiple gorges and 'gaps', driving on the old highway north to get some great D/T hides and various lab caches before heading in to the city.
We saw first hand the new takeaway alcohol rules as well as all the broken windows in town. The pizza place we went to (Roberto's Pizza) did the BEST PIZZA'S I have ever had....I am serious! It's a shame someone had smashed four of their windows, as they provided great service to us & all the locals that came in.
Thank god for air-con, as due to that I had a good night sleep. We slept in of course (due to me stuffing up the alarm and the long day we had previously), but it all worked out. We finished with the 'Heritage' labs which happened to be where the 'Invasion Day' protests were occurring.
We got every cache & lab we wanted, I feel we saw most (if not all) of the sights, we saw some cultural & political happenings..... what a way to spend 24 hours!!! Thanks to all the CO's for placing.

Heading out to Ross River Resort for a day trip and calling into various sites along the way. This was the first for the day. Wandered around for a bit enjoying the sights and then went to look for the cache. Took a little while to spot the hide. Signed the log and replaced all as found.

Sir_spectre and I went on a long overdue holiday to the Northern Territory. We had some great experiences and saw some amazing natural wonders. Not all went to plan - covid closures, flood effected roads, renovations, hot weather, some car troubles and not forgetting the huge jump in fuel costs
Any caches that needed repairs were fixed and numeous logs were replaced or added too.

nice location. found after i looked a bit higher than i thought it would be. replaced logsheet
Mogni and myself went to the Northern Territory for a 10 day holiday. We drove 5478 km's in those 10 days. The plan was to go up the Sturt highway and then go via Ayers Rock, King's Canyon and then through to Alice Springs stopping at the gorges/chasm/gaps along the way. As you can expect nothing goes to plan. Day 1 Adelaide to Cooper Pedy, made it just before the Roxby Downs turn off and blow the side wall on the tire of the 4x4, 193 km detour just to get a tire and even then it was the second tire place that had the tire the correct size. We had camels come in to the campsite in Erldunda Roadhouse, they even left hoof prints 1/2 a foot from the tent, at King's Canyon we had dingo's come through the camp ground both nights we where there and at Alice springs we had a mouse move in under the tent in their campground. Some of the aboriginal towns we passed where in lock down because of covid 19 so no going in to get fuel there, that changed some plans. The floods where way worse up in Northern Territory than i realized. Some creeks/rivers i could see the debris over 2 meters from the river bed and down one 4x4 track it washed the road away completely, the hole was 3/4 the length of the 4x4 and over 6 foot deep. The temp was 33 to 36 for 9 of the 10 days and finally cooled down for the drive home. We got 7 different caches types in the N.T. plus every different cache size. It was a good trip but not the one we planned. To many of the roads in the N.T. where damaged and not repaired ( still closed ) so that cancelled plan A but that's just a excuse to come back isn't it. Come back and see what you missed last time when the roads are fixed. We came with 19 regular " geocaching size " containers and a milk crate of small containers by day 7 all the regulars where used as replaced caches and by day 8 the smalls where gone. It was the UV rays a lot more than the floods that killed the caches and almost all the log books where saved, the micro containers seemed to have constantly full log sheets so they where replaced too.

Found this cache on our way back from Corroboree Rock. All good here, quick find today.
Geo kids climbed up high on the rocks with no luck. Goe dad eventually found it. TFTC.
My husband and i are on a road 8000km plus geokm trip from Brisbane to Uluru and this cache was on my to do list and wow what an amazing place this is . we firstly enjoyed the walk around and then off to find this cache. my husband went one way and i the other and he found the prize. Thank you for taking us here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
Staying at the showgrounds in Alice Springs, we decided to do a short drive to check out the rock art here. This cache was found with no problems. Both the rocks and the caterpillar art work are brilliant. Driving to the caches along the Ross Highway gives a good idea as to why caterpillars feature in the first nations stories in this area..
We drove out to this amazing place to see the Three Caterpillars and collect a smilie. After a walk around we targeted this cache and I tried to find it a hard way then heard hubby call out “found it” darn it I did all the unnecessary hard work! All good with this one,log signed and replaced as found. Thanks 2 Lost Souls. Now I know what the hint is.
My GPS had me heading up the hill for a bit. Once I read the hint I realised I was going in the wrong direction and shortly after a quick find. Great cache container and I have left a trackable here. TFTC
Love this location. An outstanding example.
The cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

Skimming the air
In Anthwerrke,
Where the caterpillar paused
To let the women through.
Half a moon,
Ghostly in the blue sky.
It is quiet. The coolibahs hush.
Sigh or echo? It is hard to tell
The bird from its shadow on the rock.

Interesting spot, but 39degrees and flies thick so didn’t stay too long. Easy find thank goodness.
A month’s worth of rain! I loved the rock art, even if we all got a bit wet. Cheers!
Up early and heading out into the east ranges, our first stop for an easy find.

Day 4 of our *Red Centre Adventure*... and today we had a quiet day, not straying too far from Alice. We started with a visit to Ewainga Reserve... and then came out to Emily Gap to have lunch. The cache was a quick find before taking a walk through the Gap.

We have travelled from A (our home in SW of WA) to B via the Savannah Way with a two week unexpected detainment in Mackay which has set us back, now sadly travelling back to A via the Outback Way from Winton to Laverton.
We have extra time in Alice than we planned so some extra caching is now happening. Gotta love that
Didn't have this one on my list but grabbed it a we passed. Lots of broken glass on the ground at GZ

We finished loading in the early afternoon so I went for a drive out to Emily's Gap. I have not been out here before, which is surprising given how often I've had work in Alice over the last few years. I had to wait for the muggles to leave before I could scout out this hide. Then a phone call put the geo on hold for a bit longer... But, I got it in the end. TFTC
We are on vacation in Australia and of course we seek some caches.

We took our geokids to the Red Centre for the spring school holydays. Great place, fantastic experience. We flew from Birsbane to Uluru, did climb the Rock, visited Katja Tutas, Kings Canyon, Wes and East Mcdonnel ranges, down to Simpson Desert, back to Alice, and via the Henbury Craters back to Uluru.

Heading out to Ross River in the East MacDonnell Ranges on this part of my great trip up the middle with a couple of muggle friends.
Just picking up random caches while I can without upsetting them to much.
Stopping in at all of the sights along the way.
Said hello to Emily.
